I had a great experience here from start to finish! The chips arrived warm and perfectly crisp, paired with a flavorful salsa that had just enough heat to make it interesting. The host and servers were warm, welcoming and attentive. The restaurant was clean, with a fun, lively ambiance. I ordered the tomatillo enchiladas and they were delicious! The chicken was well-seasoned, the sauce had a light, pleasant tang, and the corn tortillas held everything together beautifully. It came with rice and beans which were also delicious! I’ll definitely be back:)!

Amazing customer service! Great food, with huge portions. This is a great spot to visit for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Breakfast is served all day, and is very good. We were visiting from Texas and the food was exactly what we needed.

Everything about this place is on point. Every single dish, every interaction, down to how CLEAN the place was made an AWESOME dining experience. A restraunt that impressive doesnt happen on accident! My gf is even more impressed than I am and she cant stop talking about how great the food, especially the carne asada, was. Well done Chapala!!!!

Many of us would agree that you can often gauge the quality of what you can expect from a Mexican restaurant by its salsa. Immediately upon sitting down and delving into the chips and salsa, I got all of the right feels. I ordered the four taco plate and was quite blown away. The taste and texture of the corn tortillas are very unique and clearly handmade. The barbacoa, chorizo and pastor are exceptional and probably as good as I’ve had anywhere. I will be back and will bring friends…

Hot take. Best Mexican food in Denver area? It's hard to argue that it's not. The food was amazing through and through. My wife ordered the super nachos and was in a daze by how delicious and fresh it was. I ordered carne asada tacos which were classically authentic plus more. Our toddler had a burger and when I tried it... I was surprised how good it was! The place is clean and the workers were professional and attentive. 10/10... Go here. You won't be disappointed.

I love this place! Best service! Best food! Best Margaritas in Colorado!!! The atmosphere is fabulous and I come in this place so much I should rent space! I have tried many dishes and all are so good I can’t even pick my fave! I can’t say enough good things about the waitstaff! Hector, Jaylene & Isabella usually handle my orders and they are all so great at their job, literally the best! They are so friendly, nice and also attentive! It wouldn’t be the same if they weren’t there! Everyone knows my orders and say they should just put it in when I come thru the door! 😊 The bus guys are awesome! Mamacita who always seats me is the sweetest lady, Papa is fantastic too and all the guys here are so friendly! In all honesty it is one of the best places I have found to eat in a long time! Best food, best staff, best restaurant! Highly recommend!!!! If you haven’t been here yet it’s definitely time to check it out! Thanks everyone- Carolina, Faviola, and last but not least- Daniela, Luis & RJ for always making it a welcoming environment and to everyone at Chapala who I didn’t mention - You’re all so amazing! I don’t usually leave reviews but this is my go-to Mexican restaurant in Denver! I recommend it to everybody who is looking for a great and authentic Mexican food restaurant! The food is delicious the drinks are incredible as well! The staff is very personable and I go here so much they now know me lol but it’s incredible! The queso dip with chorizo and the birria tacos are both my go-to’s but all the food is amazing! It’s authentic which is what I like best! I’ve been to quite a few places where it looks like it would be good but isn’t, this is NOT that place! It looks like it’ll be good food AND IT IS😛

Great meal here at this kind of shy location. Located in strip mall setting off Wads at 20th, with several local shops and a couple other restaurants. This seemed to be the only place hopping, and rightly so. Good choices on the menu, from traditional Tex-Mex to some creative specials. I had the chicken Milanese which was great. Good side dishes, plenty of food and served by very friendly waitstaff with great senses of humor. Definitely try this place!

We were looking for a classic Mexican restaurant experience with refried beans, rice, good tacos and veggie burritos - this place did not disappoint! Not only was the food good, but the service was great and atmosphere was fun. The fajitas tacos, refried beans, rice, and veggie burritos were excellent. So were the house margaritas. The only thing we didn’t care for was the fried ice cream.

What a great find - the food was amazing and the staff was professional and friendly! We had the taco salad, Chapala Special with steak, and birria (and two frozen margaritas). All of us were very impressed. Something that stood out was their guacamole - it was so flavorful! We will definitely be returning :)

Our server provided outstanding service, offering consistent updates regarding our order. The cuisine was satisfying, with generous portion sizes, and the takeout containers were notably robust.

Came on a Saturday night and waited about 30 minutes for a table. The food was tasty—especially the salsa—and the service was good. The margaritas tasted a little artificial, but overall we had a good experience and would come back for the food.

Had a good experience at this restaurant. The food was tasty and the portion was pretty big. They bring out chips and salsa prior as an appetizer as well. The only reason this review is 4 stars and not 5, is because the meat, although delicious, had a ton of fat attached to it and was chewy. Other than that I recommend coming here if you want delicious Mexican food - expect to leave very, very full!
