Citadel BBQ is LIT! We ordered 1 1/2 lbs of brisket (Moist) hence the fat Sliced Turkey sandwich Chopped Beef sandwich Mac and Cheese And Banana Pudding. I have nothing negative to say about any of it. The brisket was moist and pull apart, smoked perfectly and does not need BBQ sauce. The sliced turkey was so tender and moist we ended up ditching the bun and eating the sliced turkey. (As pictured the tiny bits of turkey were from trying to fork pieces to family members to try) The Chopped beef sandwich was delicious and is generally a staple when I try any BBQ place. I relate it to cheese pizza, if your at a pizza place and they can’t deliver on a slice of cheese pizza then the rest probably won’t be right. I immediately took my sandwich apart to make sure it was all brisket (you would be surprised what I’ve found) it was all coarsely chopped brisket that’s sauced up just perfectly. The sauce to brisket ratio was perfect you could still taste the brisket and had just a hint of sauce. This place has done things right, and you can tell. Excellent food guys! This nice little medical center bbq and bar is amazing. The spicy sauce is perfect!! The bread pudding and sauce is mouth watering. Although it’s reflects the med center prices, the food and service is worth it

Google location is off. It’s next to Cliff’s Grill which is good too. Corner of Main and Dryden with some parking on Dryden or the lots nearby. I had a great brisket. Moist n meaty with good flavor. No need for sauce. I tried The spicy sauce which is served on the side and it is tangy not spicy. The meats are Smoked in house I was shown the smokers through the kitchen door when I asked. The loaded baked potato could be a meal on its own. I’ll be back for breakfast. The prices are fair and the store is clean. I came back for breakfast. Brisket taco. Again meaty and plentiful.

All hands down.. the best bbq place in the area. I got the ribs and the Corn (I need that recipe)...and the greens... and I must say... I was very impressed. I'm also impressed by Damon and how helpful he was to every question I had. I highly recommend this place if you're in the area. The BBQ sauce was on point as well.

I mean, WOW! And seriously though! And I’m picky, coming from a culinary background. The loaded baked potato was nothing less than perfection. Not only were the toppings delicious and artistically placed over the perfectly cooked potato, but the combination of all ingredients made this simple but delicious menu item an absolute winner. Stellar presentation and perfectly hand crafted. Bravo Citedel BBQ!

The prime brisket was fall apart good. The Mac n Cheese was melt in your mouth good. I just finished eating it and I miss it. Understaffed so it was a little slow but the staff were so nice. Great way to end a stressful day at MD Anderson. I'd take a pic but I ate it all!

After a long day at the hospital, I wanted a really good burger. What I got was a really GREAT burger! It was Juicy, flavorful, and ever so tasty. I got the mushroom Swiss burger. The sautéed mushrooms and caramelized onions melted in my mouth. I highly recommend you try it!

We came for lunch on a Wednesday. It was not very busy but we still waited 10 minutes to get to the counter. It was very quiet. Hubby had the gumbo and I had red beans and rice. Both were tasty enough that we will come back.

I got the pulled pork sandwich and my wife got a sausage salad. I feel my pulled pork was a bit dry but overall it was good. My wife liked her salad. Agree that this place is a bit over priced but hey their location was great so what can you say?

I got the pulled pork sandwich and my wife got a sausage salad. I feel my pulled pork was a bit dry but overall it was good. My wife liked her salad. Agree that this place is a bit over priced but hey their location was great so what can you say?

After a doctor's visit, we craved something satisfying and substantial - no street food would do! Citadel exceeded our expectations. We indulged in loaded potatoes and crispy fries, and oh, they hit the spot! But what truly impressed us was the exceptional service. Our server, Soto, warmly welcomed us to the establishment, taking a moment to chat and ensure we felt at home. That personal touch made all the difference! While prices may be a tad higher than average, the quality and hospitality make it well worth the investment

Buyer beware. Manager substituted for smaller buns on the sandwiches, but of course didn't adjust the price. Eg $13 for a chopped brisket sandwich that looked like a kiddy meal. The brisket also tasted old. And it's still 5 hours till closing! 😳😞😡

The potatoes were not cooked well and were hard in a lot of spots. The brisket for the potatoes was definitely chopped way before I got there. The half pound of brisket was OK. I would not go again. I will also concede maybe if you went earlier in the day it would be better. I am not willing to try.

I'm visiting from Florida and staying at the Westin hotel we decided to try this place since it was right on the same block. The lady taking our order did not understand what we were ordering. Then I asked if the potato salad was spicy she said no. I ordered the pulled pork and beans with side of potatoes salad. Potato salad had so much heat it was unbearably hot... unbearably. Then the beans had zero flavor, pulled pork was dry as if it was just reheated from days ago. It's a once and done. Two ppl came in and asked how it was and I told them my wife's bbq ribs were dry as a rock and her Mac n cheese had zero flavor and zero salt. They left. My wife and I were very disappointed.

The taste was ok but the brisket was dry, stringy, and tough. For the quality it should have been maybe half the price. I think one issue is it was sliced with the grain instead of across. The other, now I may be wrong, was it was pulled out of a warming oven/cabinet and perhaps it has been sitting there for a very long time drying out. The sauce was super sweet. It was probably the worst bbq I've had at a restaurant. On the positive side, the staff was nice.

Terrible.. The Buffalo Wings and Ribs were highly seasoned, and the sauce tasted like straight Ketchup with Black pepper added to it. On top of that, the food was cold. The ribs were sliced on the end portion, and was dried out..

I’m not sure where some of these reviewers have had BBQ before but they sure haven’t had good BBQ. I ordered us .5# brisket, .5# turkey, braised greens and cauliflower for lunch delivered. It was on time and convenient. When opened the bag I noticed that the sides were super small for $6 each. I opened the sliced brisket and tried to cut it with the plastic knife and could not make it work. The brisket was so tough and dry I had to get a steak knife to cut it. The brisket had no smoke ring, no flavor and tough as boot leather. It was almost like it was under baked in the oven. The turkey breast was spot on. I hate making a negative review but this place is not worth what they are charging. $53 for a drink, 2 sides, .5# brisket, and .5# turkey is pricy for mediocre food.

Super expensive and not tasting good. They charge $5 for a small side of collard green. Really? And it was super salty. The brisket sandwich was very dry, and a small sandwich itself cost $12. I would not recommend anyone to go there.
