The food was great! Since its my first time at this restaurant, I ordered samosas, butter chicken, and garlic naan - that's my baseline for Indian restaurants. They never did ask how spicy I wanted my food, and I didn't ask. I could have done with some additional spice, but the flavor was good. The garlic naan was great. The give you rice to share at the table with your dish. I didn't take a picture of the samosas, but they were decent sized and delicious. The ambiance leaves much to be desired - when I walked in, I immediately felt like I was still at Jimmy John's, the counter is still in tact and you can see most of the painted logo on the brick wall in the back, even though they did put a TV in front of it. But I'm not going there for atmosphere and might just order take out in the future.

The food is delicious! My husband ordered the chicken tikka masala. I ordered the lamb Rogan Josh at spice level 3. It was spicy just how I like it. We also had their garlic naan. The staff was nice and attentive. Highly recommended.

7/24 update: Only having gotten the food delivered, I decided to check out the restaurant. I came in late, 9:00 and was delighted to learn they are open until 11. The vibe is very chill with kitschy Indian Cinema posters and very attentive service. It’s romantic and warm. The food here is EXCELLENT. The depth of flavor and quality makes it taste homemade. I got the lunch special again, which is still a great value. Rice, butter chicken, samosa (there wasn’t any tamarind sauce this time which was sad) and naan. It’s a lot of food for $16. Update: if you are ordering on Uber, the lunch special is only available Monday to Thursday. However, it does not say that so you will waste your time ordering only to have the restaurant cancel your order. I had to call to figure it out. Without the lunch special, the same meal for one person was $32. I got the food delivered to downtown Clearwater at lunch time. Uber Eats had a lunch special combo with an entree, rice, naan and veggie samosas for $15.99 (3/24). I thought it was an excellent value! There was enough food for two people or two meals. The naan was so big and homemade beautifully. The samosas were good and came with tamarind sauce. The butter chicken was also really good! Big chunks of quality chicken. Highly recommend!

This Indian restaurant is not as flashy as the others around, but in terms of food and service it is easily one of the best. Of all the Indian restaurants I have been to, it's rare to taste a dish that seems like everything about it was fresh and made on the spot. But here, it felt just like that. The service was very personable, and the atmosphere quiet and peaceful. However, you must put back masala chai on the menu!!! Thanks for the tea.

The biryani was flavorful and aromatic, the chicken curry was awesome, and the chicken tikka was really good with more than sufficient quantity. The naan was fresh and soft, pairing perfectly with the dishes. Service was quick and efficient, which made the experience even better. Definitely recommend this place for delicious Indian food!

This food is so good. I grew up with a best friend who was Indian and this reminds me of his family’s home cooking. Very authentic!! It’s even better than this super famous Indian restaurant in park city Utah called Mumbai House. This chef rocks

Indian bistro is famous for their butter chicken so I had to try and see how it compares to Nj standards and boy was I pleasantly surprised! Been here couple of times and the food is on point. The restaurant is booming with amazing Indian flavors deliciously cooked by Chef Naveen. Furthermore, they carry a small bar. They have a wide spread of choices and weekend specials . Talk about great authentic flavors leaving you in a serious food coma 🤤 thank you Chef Naveen. The staff is very friendly, it's a homey feeling. They offered good suggestions, did not rush us, were very attentive and courteous to make us comfortable and welcomed. I would absolutely recommend them for a good priced meal, great service and great choice for Indian food within Clearwater area!

Ordered Chicken Tika, Chicken Ticka Marsala, Garlic Naan and a Vegetable Samosa order. Medium Spice was spot on—nice heat, but not too much. Everything was solid—the Chicken Tika Marsala was the best we’ve had anywhere—super!

As our habit at home is towards seafood so we opted for two meat dishes, one lamb, one goat in traditional curry from two regions including Kashmir. Also enjoyed the appetizer most often served in Indian homes, Samosa. Everything was meticulously prepared and served to our liking. The blend of spices and seasonings along with the cooking method proved to be a delectable meal that far surpassed all expectations. We practically live within walking distance and I can not wait to return and try more of the recipes prepared by a family that surely enjoys cooking for guests as much as I do when I do so at home or professionally. Having been out first visit the time, patience, honesty and heartfelt hospitality was thoroughly appreciated and enjoyed. I highly recommend you give this location a try for what I’m sure will not be your only visit. Bon appetite! For those so inclined, our appetizers were vegan and there are plenty of options available for you.

First time in and everything was delish. Chili chicken was really yummy as was the garlic naan. Can't wait to try more! Place was clean and has a small but nice atmosphere.

Update for April 2023:. Unfortuntiely the coconut soup was discontinued, but that's okay. All the other staples of the menu are still available. Ignore the price on the menu as they are understated substantially. So just be warned to expect the bill to be 20 to 30 percent higher than planned depending on what you order. Also, I have see portion size and quality of the food be inconsistent. Tandoori chicken was not as flavorful and the sauces (saag and the korma) not as bold as before. Today was nowhere as good as a month ago which was nowhere as good as 3 months ago. They do push out a large volume of delivery compare to eat-in now from what I observed. And I seen high volumes of delivery cause quality to suffer at other places as well over time. Not a positive trend. Overall it's now just okay. On par with other Indian in Pinellas County, which overall is not great. Stars drop down to 3 from 4 unfortunately. Original Review: So happy this place is open later than other Indian Restaurants. This will draw me in more often since I'm a late eater. Also the food is flavorful overall. The environment is casual. The service is good. The coconut soup is absolutely wonderful. Great texture and flavor both for the soup. Give it a try and it might become one of your favorite soups. The tandoori chicken is some of the best I have had in a long time. The chicken was tender and the flavor profile perfect. I'll surely be grabbing an order of this chicken again. The Lamb Rogan Josh was good, although won't be one of my favorites. The Chili Chicken was good and spot on what I expected. Looking forward to trying some other dishes over time.

I don’t recommend this place at all. I placed an order that included 2 biryanis and some appetizers. They were busy so they decided to not give me the biryanis. Just for their own convenience! We paid in full and didn’t get half the food. When we called them to enquire and perhaps place another separate for biryani, the employee Mr Khan straight up told us they wouldn’t take our order cause they’re busy. Also, when we called and asked for his name, (in case we had to call back) he said he was just an employee and was rude to us. All that attitude when it’s literally their fault is unreal. These guys don’t have basic courtesy, nor do they have respect for customers. I understand if the order takes longer because they’re busy. But simply disregarding half of an order (when it’s paid in full) and being rude to a customer is just unacceptable. Cherry on top- the appetizers are average

We visited this restaurant on Sunday around 2 PM, and the place was empty. Unfortunately, our experience was very disappointing. The food was extremely poor in quality — honestly some of the worst we’ve had. Except for the breads, which were decent, everything else lacked flavor and tasted off. To make matters worse, we ended up with stomach issues afterward, which was very concerning. What also made the experience uncomfortable was that every time we placed an order, we could hear loud banging of pots and utensils from the kitchen. It genuinely sounded like the chef was irritated or angry, which created a very awkward atmosphere, especially in an otherwise empty restaurant. Overall, this was a very unpleasant experience, and we would not return.

I recently visited this Indian Bistro and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. I ordered Tandoori Paneer as a starter, but instead they served me Paneer Curry. Later, they informed me that paneer was not available, which was confusing because they were still willing to make Paneer Chili. I specifically requested the Paneer Chili to be spicy, but it was served sweet instead. They also charged $5.50 for onions, which felt overpriced for such a simple item. Additionally, I ordered Butter Paneer Masala and asked for it to be spicy, but it came out very sweet and not even mildly spicy. Overall, the food quality, order accuracy, and pricing were very disappointing. It was a poor experience, and I expected much better from an Indian restaurant.
