Moved out of California 10 years ago but every time I go back to visit King Taco is a must. It never gets old. They’re salsa will always be the best

The only one thing I didn't like is that, we sat next to the air conditioner and my taco's grease froze 🤨 I enjoyed the fact that each meat flavor was original some places have the same flavor to all meats. Expect to wait though long line. Staff friendly and respectful

I’ve been coming here since i was 3 or 4 . My mother would bribe me . So i could go to dentist and doctors without a fuss. Also because i was a picky eater. Only thing i would eat . My mother has been coming here for over 50 years. Best tacos in LA .Tender and full of flavor meats . Carne asada is best i ever tasted. I’ve tried many . Nothing compares to it. My relatives who live Guadalajara , Mexico also crave it . so much that when they come and visit. First on the list to do . I’ve in Bellfower for 28 years . And when they opened here. i was so excited as well as my family. That my dream had come true. Now I didn’t have to drive all the way to first street in East LA . This is first location I ever went to. There is always a line so be patient and be ready to wait. Bellflower location has gotten very slow at service and cleaning tables. Also loud . I take my food to go.

How is this place not 5 stars? We went in the morning and didn’t wait long for our food at all. The workers were kind and the food was delicious! Carne asada tacos were delicious,Tamales were delicious, Sope was delicious, and the quesadilla was made with the best cheese! Green salsa was perfect. Horchata is authentic and the Jamaica wasn’t too sweet. I can’t wait to come back when I’m in town.

Take my money! I love King Taco and it’s easily in the same tier as In-N-Out and Chick-Fil-A fast food. My east coast buddies always hit up this spot when they visit and we don’t have a single complaint waiting in the long line out the door. It’s worth it and their burritos and tacos with the green sauce, less talk and more eating. Carne asada, al pastor, lengua, cabeza, chicharron, all great. The sopes and the carne asada nachos – they’re delicious. Just fight the urge to eat here frequently because of the high saturated fat and sodium level. Plenty of parking as it shares the lot with a grocery store. Easily a 5-star fast food. Highly recommend it if you haven’t tried it.

How is it they have 3 cashiers, but only one is open even when the line stretches towards the street. Management needs to keep up with the demand! 😡..... King taco food is amazing.... I have children ranging from 4-17 years old. They all love it, something on the menu for everyone. Some things I dislike about ki g taco are that they are stingy with their hot sauce, their tortillas for tacos are not good quality,They get cold and hard very quick and the cleanliness, as far as tables go is not so good. Overall food is fast and very good, it's a place you can't stay away from, food has a distinct taste, especially their hot sauce. 😋

On this visit the restaurant was clean and not too busy. The staff is always questionable due to the fact that its always hit and miss with them. Usually, they are very not willing to get you any extra items you might need, like fork, spoon extra onion. The food was okay as usual. It's a hit miss with their tortillas. Days you might get them warm, other days cold, but what is to be expected from a restaurant that doesn't cook any of their food at the actual restaurants.

Food is great! Customer service great! Waiting times are very long. I was literally there for take out a whole hour. Definitely not worth the wait. Not sure if it's because of the lack of people wanting to work, but they only had 2 food prepers and 3 other employees doing other jobs. I Definitely will not be going back any time soon. Not because I had a bad experience, but because of the waste of time. I'll check back maybe in 3 months. Until then, I'll prob be going to Compton/Lynnwood location. UPDATE 10/2/22 Went here for lunch because I was close to this location. Waiting time is better and lines move faster. All other review attributes remain the same. Review has increased from 3 stars to 4 stars.

Place becomes packed on the weekends. However you are there for one thing. The tacos. Get in and get out. Everything else matters less. All staff was patient and courteous, even with the line snaking close to the door.

Don't go if you are hungry. You will wait at least 40 minutes to get your food. the staff works in one speed...slow speed. The food is good, the tacos are great. The staff needs to pick up the pace

I went a while ago, I decided to try out a new place and this hit the spot! The best part was the service, I went around nighttime and the girl who was at her shift was truly kindhearted. She offered samples and had a wonderful mood, which truly made my day. One thing about the food that kinda was a bit off was the carne asada taco. If I recall the carne was a bit rubbery and hard to chew, but I did like the tacos de pastor. Also, they had many types of drinks, which was amazing. Overall the tacos/ food was standard, not out of this world but something that reminds you of home. Simple, good tacos.

Food was ok. Could have used a bit more flavor, but great homemade tortillas.

If your from LOS ANGELES then you already know but if your passing through yes authentic Mexican food and a good price open late for the less traffic drivers one thing that kinda sucks is the Maywood location doesn't sell TINGA (shredded chicken in Chipotle) but it's cool the one that does. Is like 3 minutes away on the Hayabusa and like 10 minutes away in car if it's later and traffic is light if not like 30/40 minutes

Love the food here but this place needs to work on efficiency. No customer should be able to get their food and just be ause they order the drink they have to go back to the line all the way up to the cashier to get their drink that they order already with their order or online order. Great food, but the lines are super super long, even when It’s not peak time. I’ve had to leave the place cuz it’s AT LEAST 30 minutes to order every single time. My lunch time is so short I always get something else. Anyway, KT has always had bomb food!

Crammed place. It is small. The asada burrito is good, but the portion is small. You get more rice and beans and little meat and for like 9 bucks. Also, they are stingy with the salsa, limit only 1 or they try to charge you 50 cents.

The servers do not have any personality, they repeat your orders two or three different times because they are busy talking to other co-workers. Their tortillas are awful, the server made a burrito twice because they kept falling apart as he was making the burrito. Apparently they make their own tortillas and they are not doing good job. Hope they can improve their processes.

The taste has not changed however the portions have as well as the prices. The burritos are very small and for small tacos the meat ratio is not a value. Guest service is very transactional no friendless.

This place is a pretty good place to grab lunch. The only reason I am giving 3 stars is because one of the staff was quite rude. It is very busy, but we didn’t have to wait long. The staff at the register were pleasant and friendly. When my number was called (in Spanish), I went up to the counter and the lady looked at me confused. I told her they just called my number. She repeated it in English as though she didn’t expect me to understand Spanish and thought I had heard the wrong number. I said yes ma’am that’s me, and she rolled her eyes. She then asked what sauce I would like, green or red. I asked for one of each (I got 3 tacos), but she said only one. I looked at the people next to me and they were holding two sauces each. I looked back at her and said, “Really?” Then asked for the green. The guy next to me handed me a red, and said he wasn’t going to use it. She then proceeded to talk about me in Spanish, again like I didn’t understand. I was really confused as to why she had an issue, but it was not very professional at all. I will not be back to this location.

Been coming to this location for years now, and it used to be really good, with fair portions of meat, nowadays they are so skimpy with their meat, you have to order " extra meat" or you will get a kids size portion, with their price increase, you get way less meat, .....I would rather go to a taco truck and get my money worth...I've tried to give this location chance after chance. But I'm done. Choose wisely people.

Tortillas from the burrito were dry and hard compared to all other locations. I have been a loyal customer for over 35 years and I have to say this location is the worst quality of flower tortillas.

I guess it might have been a bad time because i have been here a few times before, and it was never this bad. I'm not sure, but the portions and quality for the price i paid are not there. The meat was dry and had no flavor. The sopes corn shell was burnt. The tacos had hardly any meat. The tamales were dry. When we sat down, all of the empty tables were not cleaned off, and we had to clean it ourselves. I usually have King Taco every few months. I will make a point to drive the extra miles to get more quality for the money at the long beach, pico, or Lynwood locations. Maybe because it was a Monday?

Years I ate here and was a big mistake. Small portion of meat. 2.34 a taco should be 1.50. Also in United States we speak English and not Spanish, so ignorant to judge me by the way, I look in the color of my skin. Shame on you, King taco.

Food is good just like other king tacos but the service sucks and the line is insane all day long. the restaurant echoes so much you can't hear yourself think. It's like a middle school cafeteria.

I have never known for a Mexican restaurant to not have lemon let alone a king taco. This is what happens when restaurants are cheap and try to cut corners.

I used to love King Taco. Food is great most of the time. The employees are friendly. But their speed is just not worth it. 60 minutes to place an order and then 15 more min to get my order is unbelievable, and I only got 3 burritos. Now the King Taco in East LA has a system locked down. Quick and easy. If only this location had their speed. It wouldn't be that bad if they would actually answer their phones to place an order (like they advertise).

It's definitely a place where I'll never go back. The food is not taste, has no flavor, is very dry, and super expensive. I ordered 4 tacos and a drink, and they took a long time to give me my very tiny small tacos when I grabbed the bag because it was to go I thought was the first 2, then after a while I ask the rude guy inside, where is the other 2 tacos?? He told me it was inside the bag!! I LOOK INSIDE AND I WAS, O.M.G!! not even the taqueros at the streets have such miniature tacos like this, and the worst was when we had to pay. For sure, I will eat a better meal at Karl's Jr. for that price...up to you guys!

Won't be going back. Giyo's Tacos on Alondra is way better and serving size much bigger there. King Taco was a disappointment when I saw how small everything was compared to cost. Had to wait for my tacos after served the tamale and quesadilla. Tacos didn't come with lime nor did they ask. They don't have sour cream. Asada quesadilla didn't taste very good but the chicken tamale had a lot of meat so that was a plus. I'm sorry I didn't take pics of our food when we got it. I was too hungry and left still hungry after 3 Itty bitty tacos de lingua. Giyo's Tacos got King Taco beat by far.

Review is based solely on their lack of customer service. I've been going to King Taco for 40 years, and visited all their locations. Throughout the years I've witnessed their decline of efficiency and customer appreciation. This will be my last visit and resort to finer taco shops. The line behind the counter prepping the food is rude, and extremely slow. Napkins are only given upon request, if you like your tacos with an extra kick don't bother asking for extra salsa because it's 1 per 3 tacos. If you're doing a take out order I strongly encourage you to place orders separately because it confuses them, inconveniences them with the onion/cilantro ratio, and you will be short changed on the salsa.

I made one full asada taco with an order of 3 tacos. Very stingy on the meat!

Went to pick up a simple order of red and green sauce to go. Went home and they gave us two green sauces. The red sauce is the best one. I get it, we all make mistakes but a simple order like this should not have mistakes. Sucks, we usually go to another king taco but since we moved in the area this would be the new one we go to. Doesn’t seem like I’m coming back. Really disappointed.

This location was horrible only one register working so the line stacked pretty quick from the time I walked in it took about 15-20 min just to place an order I understand when a place is popular but this was not the case the entire staff do not seem to have any sense of urgency when finally called up for them to begin assembling your order in front of you they move at a snails pace and then to top it off every thing is bland rice is dry and flavor less carnitas dry and flavor less the only thing that was actually decent was the salsa.I will say it was affordable but definitely not worth it

Honestly if I can give them 0 stars I would!!! 1st and last time ever coming here. I kept repeating my order to the lady she 1st messed up. She they had to refund me and then she was charging me for 8 burritos when I said 8 tacos multiple times. So after they get the manager because the lady couldn’t do the order right. Just ordered an AL pastor burrito. Then the lady made a Carne asada burrito and was super rude when I asked her if it was AL Pastor. I'll make you another one! She yelled... then she asked me salsa on outside or inside and when I asked outside she puts a whole label of salsa inside... when I asked her if I could get it on the outside like she asked she got upset. Then I asked a guy for napkins and he also was upset... Sensitive emotional rude people should stay home. This place has awful shitty rude staff.

I come here often. Today I ordered eleven tacos and nachos, but she gave me the sauce in a tiny cup—even though they usually give it generously. I asked for a larger cup, and she said she couldn’t because the sauce has to go inside the food. But the sauce wasn’t even in the tacos or the nachos—they only put it in the three-taco combo. What’s going on? I’ve been coming to King Taco for over 20 years, and this has never happened before. I’m really disappointed. I purposely come to this location even though there’s a closer one. A big part of why people come to King Taco—myself included—is because the sauce is especially good. How much could it possibly cost? Terrible service today. OMG, she shorted me on tacos.
