My friends and I thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Bluebird Kitchen. The restaurant's cozy and fresh interior design greeted us upon arrival, evoking a sense of spring. The food surpassed our expectations and offered a delightful brunch experience unlike any other we've had in Long Island. Bluebird Kitchen has become our top choice for brunch in the area!

Every single time I’ve been here, I’ve been met with amazing service and food! They are dog friendly and have an outdoors area for dining with dogs. We came here with our pet when it was getting a little chilly for outdoor dining. We called in advance and they were so sweet-they set up an outdoor portable heater so we would stay warm and came to check up on us during the meal! For lunch we’ve tried the nonna pie with pepperoni and hot honey (the best combo)! The pizza was amazing-so soft and pillowy but had a crispy and crunchy crust! The squash and burrata salad was fresh and perfectly sweet. If you come here for dinner I can’t recommend the dinner rolls enough! They are pillowy soft and garlicky, the bread dishes here are amazing. The chicken parm with vodka sauce was delicious! The chicken was very tender and paired well with the pasta (not shown below).

This place never disappoints. No matter what time of day you decide to eat here the food is always consistent. Wife and I met a couple friends for brunch today. Blake, our waiter was very professional, attentive and had a great personality.

The food was so amazing and wonderful for a large group such as Brown Skin Brunchin that hosted the brunch there. Nassau county Ambassador Yolanda was so gracious and pick such a wonderful venue. The food was amazing the wait staff, so friendly and accommodating. I will return there again with family and friends. Such a great experience.

We enjoyed dinner at Bluebird Kitchen. The food and service were incredible. It’s a clean, new freshing restaurant. Our server (he) was so attentive & really nice. The hostess that greeted us was sweet and very welcoming. Our older son devoured the leftover hamburger when we got back home. We ordered the half a chicken, absolutely delicious! Our son got the pulled pork, mom got a hamburger. The meatballs were great also. We can’t wait to go back!

Great food, great atmosphere, and great wait staff! I came here for my birthday dinner yesterday, and everything was delicious! I had the Brick Chicken and the chicken was cooked fabulously, and the loaded cauliflower TO DIE FOR!! My mom had the ribs, and those were off the bone easy, tasty, tasted like they had dry rub and had sauce on them! The bone fell of the bones with ease and there was plenty of meat on them! My dad had the Hanger steak and has said that it was like going to a 5 star restaurant in NYC! I can’t wait to come back here very soon! The prices were fair for the portions and how well it is cooked, however, it can be pricey for the average crowd! Each sides are a separate charge. For example, I ordered the Brick Chicken that was just that, but had to order the Loaded Cauliflower separate. Another example is my dad’s steak did not come with fries, so you had to order that separately l, but my moms ribs had everything you possibly needed! She had her dish come with fries and broccoli! Overall, GREAT experience! I will be back soon!!

I met some friends for brunch today. The decor is very bright and spacious. The menu has a good selection; it's nice that they offer brunch as well as lunch. We were initially seated in what is likely their main seating area. We found the booth seating extremely low compared to the table height, so we asked to be moved. The host suggested the high tables in the bar area, and they were perfect. We also noticed that the noise level was much lower in this area than in the previous one. The food was very good and the prices were competitive.

I'm not going to lie... I was a bit underwhelmed. We've wanted to check this spot out for awhile, but hadn't had the opportunity until recently. We surprisingly got in quasi-quickly... I put in a call and made a reservation and was told the tables were currently open. Upon arrival, we still waited around ten minutes while they cleaned the table. The place was visually pleasant, spacious and welcoming - the staff not as much. They weren't rude by any means, just not as attentive as I thought they'd be with such a price tag. The menu wasn't bad but wasn't good. The choices were slim and not as exciting as we had been thinking. I wound up getting the steak and eggs which was OK, just nothing to write home about. The special 'everything' seasoning on the potatoes was less exciting than presented (and very lighthanded). The bread was delish, however literally two thin strips. My wife had the poached eggs which were nothing special... one actually exploded all over the table (which was not the restaurant's fault). The coffee was served in paper cups... I heard that there had been an accident where the mud had been dropped and destroyed - but for a check that's upwards of $70 for two for breakfast... you could've grabbed replacements from Restaurant Depot to make me at least feel like I'm dining in a classy spot. Everything looked pretty - but I needed more on the flavor front. Honestly, we'll give it another try at some point, just probably not for awhile. Certainly not trying to bash a small business - this was probably just a bad day. Again, not awful - not bad at all... just not great this time around.

Went for lunch with my family a few weekends ago. The restaurant is very large and has a lot of great natural lighting. It kind of reminds me of an upscale diner. The menu is huge and they have a lot to offer for any and every diner. Food was fine, nothing really blew us away buy tasted fine. I would return for a low key lunch or a quick easy dinner. I will say service was kind of slow considering it was a pretty quiet day.

The Motivator

Not sure where these good reviews are coming from. The service is awful, 1 star, even when the place wasn't packed. The server did not understand our order, another one had to come and ask me again for this order: 4 eggs sunnyside up, bacon, toast. The rest of the orders at the table had to be repeated several times. The buttermilk waffle was the only thing at the table even close to respectable, it was very good. The chocolate chip pancakes were burned on the bottom and burnt chocolate is awful. Have to give the food 2 stars. Wrong food delivered, as well, as part of our order. Had to flag down people to refill coffee, refill water, order additional items; was glad our server never showed his face again after initial order though. Atmosphere was nice, 4 stars. As always, tipped more than what was deserved, don't ever want to punish other staff like busboys and bartenders for the server's incompetence. Yes, still tipped 20%. Will give it another shot in hopes it was a hiccup and will adjust my review of they don't screw up again.

Saturday brunch with my son on Valentines Day. *Bluebird Kitchen 2405 Merrick Road, Bellmore NY* I had the pleasure of spending the morning with my son — something we don’t get to do often with both of us being busy with work and life. For Valentine’s Day, he wanted to take me out for brunch and try a new place (new to us). When we walked in around 11:45 a.m., another couple was waiting, so we stood to the side. The hostess came to the front, looked directly at us, but did not acknowledge us. The phone rang, he answered it, and then proceeded to assist the couple who had been waiting. We stood there another 7–8 minutes before he finally came back and asked if we had a reservation. We said no. He stated that only high-top seating was available, so we agreed, as we didn’t have much choice. (For reference, high-tops are not the most comfortable seating option for a woman my age.) We were seated and then waited about 20 minutes before anyone approached our table. A young man named Jose came over and kindly explained that it was not his section but that he was helping out. We truly appreciated that. Since we weren’t sure if anyone else would come, we placed both our drink and appetizer orders with him. Our drinks arrived, but my son’s drink was incorrect. It was sent back, and the second attempt was still wrong. At that point, my son decided not to send it back again and ordered something else later. Another 20 minutes passed without a server checking on us. Jose eventually returned and apologized, explaining he was covering another area. When we asked what happened to our assigned server, he simply said he didn’t know. We did see a young woman working the area, but no one ever clearly identified themselves as our server. Meanwhile, guests who arrived after us were served in a timely manner. The food was excellent. However, the service and overall wait time were extremely disappointing. I can’t help but question whether we were overlooked because we are people of color, especially after being visibly ignored upon arrival and throughout our visit. I do want to specifically thank Jose. He was kind, attentive, and did his best in a situation that was clearly not his responsibility. We made sure to tip him well because he deserved it. Unfortunately, despite the good food, the service experience ensures we will not be returning. Regards,

I couldn’t even wait to get home to write about my experience. Just dined here tonight with my husband and daughter. Do not go here unless u have ski resort wear and can eat your food in less than five minutes to avoid it going freezing cold. The AC was blasting down on my face & food. My daughter’s fries got cold almost immediately after getting them, and shes a toddler they eat slow. My husband ate his dinner but he’s a man he’ll eat anything he's paying for. Firstly, my chicken parm came out alone. You would have thought i told the waiter im lactose intolerant. My chicken PARM was all tomato sauce with 2 droplets of parm, maybe they ran out. I think the point of a chicken parm is for it to be covered with parmesan but i digress. When i couldn’t eat my side pasta (when it came out 5 min after my entree) due to the sauce and pasta getting cold under the below 0 temp AC, i asked if i could replace it with arugula. The waiter suggested a cesar side salad. I doubt he had malicious intentions of keeping the arugula from me but if im paying $31 for two thin chicken cutlets drowned in tomato sauce and a whisper of cheese, just give me the arugula. I feel like that was very diner vibe behavior, but these aren’t diner vibe prices. I hate talking about prices because it isn’t even about that but seriously. $31 for chicken cutlets to have to sit in an antartica simulation, be denied a handful of arugula, basically have an entire keto meal (the cesar came out after i was done), i left half a chicken cutlet because it was just too weird eating with the cold sauce on top and warm meat i hated it. On top of all of this, the manager was walking around to every single table all night. I actually send something back and she didn’t ask me how was everything. I would have loved to tell her how i was feeling instead of having to write a diary entry on google reviews. End of story, its too cold in there, service is like a bit too casual for the price point, and this is my second time back. I was so excited to come back but i won’t be any more. And i don't think anyone should ever come here. I hated my experience this time.
