Here is a diamond in the ruff. You never know what to expect when exploring around town and stopping in a restaurant that you have driven by for years. Pizza the Rock is right off of 84, and their Pizza is delicious . While growing up in New York City, this is what I remember . Walking up to the counter and asking for a Slice. I was greeted right away by friendly staff and given menus. "Sit anywhere you like, Sir." I was told. Which makes a world of difference when traveling with my mother-in-law, who is handicap . She chose a table and settled right in. By the way, Pizza the Rock has plenty of handicap parking and a ramp for easy access to the Pizzeria. Our food came out quickly and hot. The Buffalo Wings were equally as delicious and a good size. This is something I am recently and personally dealing with, little, scrawny chicken wings . Especially when you have Wings in your restaurants name. Sorry about the rant. PIZZA THE ROCK, was an awesome experience. Good job, everyone can't wait to return.

Pizza was amazing from the dough, sauce to the cheese. We ordered Buffalo hot wings extra crispy and they where just right. Thank you guys for the excellent food during my stay at Kartrite Resort.

The food was delicious! The Mozzarella en Carozza was so fresh and, really tasty. Everyone loved my Caprese personal pie. It was even delicious the next day heated up. I can't wait to come back and, order more stuff off the menu. It is a terrific place with great staff.

I had a pickup down the road, while I was getting loaded I went to grab lunch. The pizza really hit the spot, it was really good.

Large pizza slices and messy but delicious chicken parm sandwiches. Yummy!

Great food and if it's not on their extensive menu, just ask. The owners and staff treat us like family.

Our "go to" place for lunch when in the area. Great pizza.... occasionally the crust is a bit thin.

My son said it's some of the best pizza ever. I got anchovies on mine so it wasn't so great. Next time I'll try something else.

The pizza taste great but their customer service is so weird I asked for two plain pizza’s And they give me two meat pizzas and I asked him to change it and he said no we can’t do that I go but I paid $40 and he goes I can make you one plain pizza for free but you have to pay for the other one how crazy is that or I can give you your money back I got I don’t want my money back I just want to plain pizzas he goes I can’t do that it gives me my money back so I’m not sure if that’s good or bad it was just so weird but the pizza does taste absolutely amazing

Only issue is there delivery is hit or miss. Need delivery all the time the only other pizza place in Rock Hill delivers!! You are missing out on customers especially with covid!!!!

New cross country destination, large portions, good prices, friendly staff. So glad it's not a chain style restaurant. That makes a real difference.

Been 5 years since we visited (over from England) and I still dream of the day we get back to this place and get a pizza. When we get back to NY, we’ll definitely be back!

I've been coming here since they opened. The food is always great, and you get treated like family...well, family that likes you. The medium veggie pie is my order of choice.

Amazing food. There is a bigger variety than just pizza. I got a blt. Pleasent staff. They even brought it out to our table. Pizza the Rock was also super affordable and it felt homely.

i stopped by here on the drive up to binghamton and oh man this is the best pizza i've ever had in my whole like the service is great and they're so sweet and the pizza is to die for i dream of the day i get to go back here and if you have the chance of coming here then i suggest you do it asap

I walked in 5 minutes before this place was set to close. Chairs up on the tables, staff mopping up etc. I was expecting them to turn me away, but they let me place an order. I got two Philly cheesesteaks. About ten minutes later the chef comes out to let us know that the roast beef has just come out of the oven...he was warning us that the sandwiches he just carved up were gonna be LEFORTE CHRONdiSiMoooo!! I just ate half of one of these bad boys and I got mad at myself for not tipping these guys 20$. Such an excellent sandwhich. Such great service. Had to write a review.

We routinely travel from central NY to CT, and we always stop here. This last time we brought the dogs with us. The staff welcomed us and our dogs onto the back porch outside. There were large umbrellas which provided shade, and the staff brought our dogs bowls of water which was really nice. There is a yard in the back where we were able to walk the dogs around a bit before getting back on the road. Food was really good as well. They have some specialty pizzas you won't find elsewhere.

Simple place, everything you would expect in a regular pizza place. But the quality of the dough (very soft and chews nicely) and the taste of the pizza itself with the topping and all is AWESOME. Very flavorful. Service there is quick and polite too. Prices, sweet! I would really recommend this place.

I drive 15 miles each way to get pizza at this place. Even though there are several pizza places closer to me. The reason is, the pies here are the kind I like and if I make a special request, they do it without question. I can honestly say there is no better pizza place within a 15-mile radius from Liberty NY. The only negative I have to say, is they need to put a review option on their web site and perhaps online ordering, because I am sure it would generate tons of new business. A very satisfied customer.

Food is excellent. All of it. Price is good. The correct product at the correct price. I love it. Minus one star because no Beer. Pizza joint without beer? Normally that's a two point deduction. However, I was told you can BYOB or there is a tavern across the street.

I've only had pizza here and it is very, very good!! If you are in the area give them a try.

This place is very good for a small town pizza place. It's not Grimaldi's but it's not grimaldis price either. yes the lady that works there can seem a little stand offish at first but she is actually very nice. Don't judge a book by it's cover this place rocks!

I was working down the street and stopped in for a slice. It was horrible. Overcooked and smelt like it was burnt. Bad enough that the thought of it make me sick. Decided to give it a try the next day, and I'm glad I did. Food was great. Guess everyone has their bad days.

We used to get pizza from here all the time. I love the personal pie options since you can get two or three and have a little bit of everything. The place was renovated a bit a while back and it’s usually kept clean.

Local Family Run Pizzeria. Be there in the past I was in the neighborhood. And it hit the spot. Whenever I'm in Rock Hill and I hagrid for Italiani food that's where you go. I got a garbage pie with extra cheese. New York state has the best Pizza. Places like this are the reason why who needs to go in New York City. I said it's all about the water will New York City gets all their water from us my area anyway surrounded by all the New York City reservoirs.

I’m very picky when it comes to pizza. I’ve been to many places and often find myself disappointed. I tried Pizza Rock as it was convenient. I was pleasantly surprised. Food is very good. Sauce isn’t too spicy and has a nice texture. There is a nice variety of pizzas pasta dishes and non Italian foods. The price is reasonable, especially, compared to other places in this area. Would recommend.

It’s hard to complain about this place because it’s right up the street but they always need help and are short staffed and then it feels like they always are changing cooks and the food is always tasting different every other week so some weeks the food is amazing and then some weeks the food is horrible so you have to decide if you want to eat there or not.

Great Pizza. I only got plain, but the specialty pizza looked interesting. I didn't have time to order it, because I was on the run.

Pleasantly surprised with the quality of the pizza. The only complaint was the Hawaiian pizza slice I ordered was just a plain pizza slice with cold pineapple and ham thrown on it.

Food was ok...6% overcharge just because ...it sucks😒 Got a slice to eat in, we get it on a plate that is way too small, hanging over & she puts it down & the slice is hanging off the plate on the table. I wish I could post a picture. Common sense..use 2 plates.

I asked for just a slice. They offered to make it with any toppings, I asked for peppers sausage and onions. After a really long wait I got a cold slice piled with some cold mystery meat and then topped with a handful of cold raw onions.

I ordered a calzone from there. There was no meat, no salami, just a mess of ricotta in some bread. I tried to call and no one answered. Tastes awful without salami.

I've frequented this pizza factory a few times when I'm on my way up to the Catskills. Today I decided to stop by and pick up some food when I noticed a sign on the door indicated that irrespective of vaxx status, they require their patrons to wear masks. According to flip flop Cuomo, businesses have this option at their discretion which is entirely untrue. So I decided to ask the two gentleman working there what the justification was. One of them spoke up and said it is because they have big families. ? Hmm, this confused and perplexed me because I'm not sure what their families have to do with americans' constitutional rights. If YOU put sunscreen on, that won't prevent ME from getting a sunburn. Starting to make sense? So I told him politely that it is un-American and they said they have the option to do it, to which I reminded him that so do patrons. To all those who don't like to have your rights violated by brainwashed establishments, just making you aware of this business' mistaken practices. Violating ADA as well as constitutional rights. CDC has already established masks don't stop the spread.

You would think being a small business in a small town that the owner would be pleasant. This is far from true. Every time I come here the owner has a grumpy look on his face like someone stole his puppy. The few times I’ve been privileged enough to have him take my order, I think he’s said one word total. The pizza is ok for Sullivan County standards, and those standards are near the bottom.

This place has been steadily going downhill for a while. I got a couple slices there and while they've always had a thinner crust, these slices were paper thin. No lie, I could see through these slices, the crust was that thin. You would think it would be crispy at least with such a thin crust but it was floppier than anything. The cheese tasted pretty cheap as well. I took one of my slices to go and didn't eat it because the to go box they put it in smelled very strongly of mildew, I'm pretty sure these boxes got wet at some point and they decided to let them dry out and use them anyway. The pizza used to be so much better but it's obvious that they're cutting back on quality and making their pizzas thinner while simultaneously raising prices. I can't recommend this place.

The wings are actually good but the pizza kind of taste like pizza from upstate New York in 1993 a lot of the vegetables on the pizza seem like they come from a can like the mushrooms, etc.

They small drop of mustard on the Sandwich was beyond embarrassing . Definitely was a horrible experience and waste of money. Definitely worth avoiding this place.

I just bought pizza today and I ordered chicken and peppers.i got home and it didn't even look like their was anything on it.i paid 30 to get hardly anything on it.i am not happy.the pizza definitely was not good.30 dollars wasted

We placed a large order and went in to pick it up after running errands at other local businesses that did NOT require a mask. When I went in to pick it up the young man at the counter said that I would not be able to pay for our order if I did not have a mask on. Instead of having me pay and leave, he instead used all of that time to argue about not giving me the food unless I have a mask on. Tell me how that makes sense to argue with me that whole time instead of using less time to give me the pizza so the “unmasked threat” can leave. Pro maskers never had logic. He also refused to bring the food out to us .. what happened to car side pick up if you’re still so afraid of covid? Have you not heard the news? Fauci lied and the masks were pointless this entire time. If your poor staff is being required to wear one aren’t you protected why do I need one? We hope your boss gets the memo that the SCAM IS OVER!

While waiting for my slice I witnessed the Mexican dude in the kitchen literally mix the entire pot of pizza sauce with his bare arm covered in arm hair and did not wash his hands before hand after handling kitchen utensils and God knows what else. I will absolutely never be getting food from here again!!!

Every time I go my order is messed up. I always say I’m not coming back but I give them another try. Today I got a blt with fries. The bacon looked like it had been taking right out the fridge and onto the sandwich. It was the same color as the white in the lettuce. It was stringy like spaghetti. This was the 6th time I ate from here and the 6th time I was severely disappointed. Wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

My wife called for delivery tonight... Woman on the phone was clearly annoyed and unpleasant. Rather than put us on hold, she set the phone down and we could hear her and other staff complaining and making rude/nasty and offensive comments about us. Made us not want to eat food prepared by the staff we could hear. One would think during these trying times, folks would appreciate their business more. I'm sure their boss is going to be upset if he/she reads about this. We canceled our order and told the woman that we could hear everything they said. Woman basically admitted guilt and weakly apologized. We used to order here on a regular basis!!! Never again, sorry. I would be very embarrassed. Wife and I both work in the restaurant industry and are very understanding, gave ridiculous tips to delivery drivers during COVID too.....but totally unacceptable...Come on!

If I could give them a zero I would! I have never been so angry and upset over an establishment as I am now! I called in my order for a small veggie pie and then the guy taking my order said, "do you want lettuce and tomatoe on that" and I said I'm ordering a veggie pie, and then he said "do you want mayonnaise on that" and I said again I'm ordering a veggie pie with the eggplant and mushrooms. He asked me my name, I told him and he said (okay Greg give me 15-20 minutes!" I was floored with the incompetence of this employee. When I went to pick up my veggie pie of course they couldn't find it. Next thing I see the owner coming out to me, sits across from me and acuses me of coming 4 times in the past month and ordering different things but demanding a veggie pie. I told him it wasn't me because I don't even live up here and just got up here an hour ago. I am from another state, showed him my license and he refused to look at it. He was very rude to me and never even said sorry for the rudeness and mistake that they all made to me (very rude employees and owner). The whole situation was so upsetting and they were all so RUDE! Never again!

1st when you walk in.... no pizza. 2nd I ordered a pie for the family and somehow putting pepperoni on 2 slices is beyond comprehension. Between the lack of food present when walking in and the young kids ineptitude behind the counter, this place is just plain shot.

I saw this pizza shop off the highway and decided to try it. This place was not crowded with only two people waiting for their food. The girl just looked at me and did not greet me at all. It was like she did not want to take my order. I asked about the topping for pizza slices and she answered. She placed my order and another woman got up to ring me up. No customer service at all. Very cold and rude employees! The pizza was not good at all. It lacked cheese and the topping were tossed on it. The pizza also lacks flavor. YUCK!! One of the worst pizza ever. I would never recommend this pizza shop to anyone, especially people coming from the New York City traveling upstate. Hire employees who know how to greet your customers and learn how to prepare a good pizza. This place could really be great if the food was prepared correctly with flavor, and employees who knows how serve customers.

The chicken was oddly chopped into small strips instead of a proper cutlet, and the sauce tasted like straight-up jarred Ragu. On top of that, my stomach felt off afterward, which is never a good sign. something is clearly not working. Serious improvements are needed.

Upon reading the reviews it’s no surprise to me that this place honestly should be shut down or rebranded. The employees are absolutely vile and lack respect and customer service. We walked in the older lady at the front asked if we needed more time to order and we said yes. We placed the order for 3 slices and a sandwich at 5:45 and were not served until 6:30. We watched multiple patrons walk in order and leave within 10 minutes. My husband proceeded to ask what was taking so long and the lady who took our order explains that because we got a chicken sandwich it takes longer (which wasn’t told to us) and that our pizza hadn’t even been put into the oven no idea why. Once receiving our order the older lady proceeded to slam our food onto our table visibly annoyed. The whole experience was just very off putting and we will not be returning nor will we be recommending this place.

We watched multiple patrons walk in order and leave within 10 minutes. My husband proceeded to ask what was taking so long and the lady who took our order explains that because we got a chicken sandwich it takes longer (which wasn’t told to us) and that our pizza hadn’t even been put into the oven no idea why. Once receiving our order the older lady proceeded to slam our food onto our table visibly annoyed. The whole experience was just very off putting and we will not be returning nor will we be recommending this place.
