I rarely write reviews but this place really deserves a great one. Natasha was incredibly attentive and considerate, making my sister’s birthday dinner such a special night. Our food was delicious and prices were reasonable. Complimentary dessert for the whole table was such a nice touch. Great ambiance too despite being a small place. Definitely will be back!
Loves it here. Natasha was a delight. She really made my husband and I's night special. The food was amazing. Pretty decently priced for this side of town. Loved getting a special surprise drink at the end. 10/10 would recommend.
We went there for breakfast and cocktails. My husband got Eggs Benedict and said it was cooked perfectly. I got poutine and it was delicious. We shared the Bloody Mary and a mimosa. Everything was delicious and service was great!
I popped in from out of town for a quick late night bite on the advice of a local, and was not disappointed! Located in a very nice part of town, this place has a casual charm and an atmosphere that’s warm and inviting. I chose the Perennial Press lavender vodka craft cocktail paired with a light and tasty Washington power salad with goat cheese, radishes, and a side of avocado. I liked that all the ingredients were finely chopped and easy to eat. The bar maid was very friendly and the food came quickly. I highly recommend this restaurant in Bend and can’t wait to come back!
Washington dining & cocktails is a true gem. We have been coming here for over five years now, and they’ve never once disappointed. The ambiance strikes the perfect balance between relaxed and refined—ideal for a casual drink or a special night out. The menu is always fresh and flavorful, and the cocktails never disappoint. What truly sets this place apart is the exceptional service. Our regular server Ariana goes above and beyond every time we visit. Attentive, and warm —it's the kind of genuine hospitality that keeps us coming back. It’s rare to find a place that feels both elevated and familiar—but after all these years, Washington still gets it exactly right.
Fancy and delicious. This was our first time here. The service was fabulous! We didn't feel rushed, even with the 50% capacity rules, and we really enjoyed ourselves. Started off with Blood Orange Margaritas and Grilled Asparagus. For entrees we had one of the specials, Half a Roasted Chicken with Truffle Mash and Brussels and the Tacos Al Pastor. Both were delicious. We shared a side of their Mac and Cheese, which might have been my favorite :).
Update 1/22. Finally back! After a disappointing visit it's nice to see this place has come around with great food, drinks, and service..... This is a great place where you want to come back to. Food was excellent with dishes that reach a bit with superb flavor profiles. Atmosphere was fun, family friendly, with mild upscale feel. Service was very adequate and friendly. I like how there open patio has an open section to the bar and is very inviting. Prices are a little expensive, but seems well matched for quality of food. Overall great place.
Dined here for the 1st time last evening and it was very tasty! For me customer service is at the top of my list alongside how good the food taste. Our server was awesome and had good energy. For the appetizer we enjoyed the apples, grilled bread and goat cheese fondue, for dinner my companion had a double cheeseburger add fried egg and bacon. He said the bacon was delicious and set the sandwich off! I enjoyed the grilled king salmon, 1st catch of the season, over a bed of wild rice with sautéed mushrooms and carrots. My meal was very flavorful and had great presentation. For dessert we enjoyed the chocolate pudding with oreos and real whipped cream delicious! The complimentary popcorn corn takes the place of the traditional bread and butter. Nice atmosphere to dine in, we'll definitely be back..
Exceptional food, great outdoor seating complemented by a diverse selection of cocktails to enjoy. Weather permitting, enjoy the birds of paradise in the center of the outdoor seating area.
Wonderful cocktails! Heidi served us and bartended at the same time. Great food. Little upscale pub style little more classier. Celebrated my birthday 🎂 they gave donuts.
We came here to get brunch and it was very good. We got the breakfast sandwich and it was amazing. We also got a Bloody Mary that was fantastic. Really cool place to eat. It’s apart of this area that has a food hall across the street with coffee and other places to eat as well and a street you can walk down with several shop include a big electric bike shop.
I don't have enough good things to say about Washington. Amazing food, amazing service. The restaurant is beautifully designed with outdoor seating as well. And, if I'm being honest- The Milwaukee Mary is the best version of a bloody mary I've ever had. I've literally had dreams about it... A must go if you live or are just visiting in Central Oregon.
This place is very nice! I really like that you can make reservations online really easily. The drinks and the food are phenomenal. Especially brisket special they were serving last night.
This place is fantastic. Food, drinks and staff! Thank you for a lovely dining experience. My husband and I really enjoyed ourselves. Milwaukee Mary's, Zombie Fries and Washington double cheese burger. 😋
Went here for the first time and loved it. The service was great. The ambience was very nice and fun. I had the buffalo cauliflower, which was the best I've ever had. Not fried and just enough dressing and blue cheese. I also had the special pork pozole, which was also great, especially for $6. I had the cloud chaser drink with rum and it transported me right to mexico. I've heard the brunch here is great and I'm looking forward to going back.
Just wow! Had the Monday dinner special: chicken and dumplings. Had doubts when it came out with arugula on it since I’m a Texan and grew up lovin my grandma’s recipe that never had greens on them, but it was surprisingly amazing. So rich, creamy, and delicious! Dare I say the best I’ve ever had. Sorry Grandma! P.S. The asparagus was terrific too!
Another great meal in Bend! A small bag of popcorn welcomed us at our table and helped wet our appetites. Not the usual chips & salsa. All of our meals were excellent. A problem did occur when everyone's fries were cold! Once informed, our server immediately made sure HOT FRIES, were on the table! We all appreciated the effort to make our meal perfect!
An always dependable spot for anytime of the day. I love their weekend brunch and really love the constant changing specials of the day. Their buffalo chicken salad truly is notorious. Oh and trust me, you NEEE to try those donut holes… they are phenomenal.
Beautiful space. Great goat cheese fondue with apples and bread. I ordered the Buffalo chicken salad, very good. My daughter ordered the Kale salad, but it was too smoke flavored fir us.
Went for New year's 2018-2019. The execution was flawless. The food came quickly and the service was excellent despite being such a big busy night. Well done.
Food was good. Nice place to eat, but we got hit with a snow storm during Mother's Day brunch!
This is one of our favorite spots in Bend for lunch or dinner! The service is top notch and food is fantastic.
The food and drinks at Washington are so good! They have a lovely outdoor patio area and are in the heart of Northwest Crossing. I love their wraps and their kids meals come bento style - super fun and they actually eat!
Amazing amazing amazing...2 more times amazing. Hands down best steak dish plate I've had in awhile. The halibut tasted equally well.
We actually got there at the perfect time and was able to sit by the fire. I ordered the Santa Rosa and I loved it so much I got another and so did a friend after trying mine! I wish I lived here so I could come back but I highly recommend!
A little wait on a Sunday morning brunch , but was worthwhile . Everything tastes fresh and quality . Really liked the cheeseburger
Shared a fabulous lunch with an amazing friend AND enjoyed my first Manhattan! Delish!
One of Bend's best!! Great food!! Great crew!!! A place you do not want to miss!!!
We stumbled upon this little gem, while passing through. Service was top notch and food was very well executed! Super accomodating to kids as well with there bento box style meals , brilliant!
Amazing. The food was incredible the pasta was better than what I had in Italy. My husband and I just loved it. The cocktails were incredible the sweet side so next time I would ask for less SS
Great food. Went to lunch there with a group from work. Everyone found their meal to be very good.
Everything was great, great Cocktails and the food, especially the brussel sprout were amazing👍
Had a great birthday dinner for our friend! The bao starter was awesome! I shared the chicken sandwich with my wife; the breading was delicious and the chicken was perfectly cooked! Though we had our own dessert, you should get the donuts! Our server was great, dealing with all us lushes!
My husband and I stopped here based on a recommendation and our waitress was fantastic! I didn’t see the cocktail I wanted, so she personally made me one based on the flavors I was looking for and it was delicious!!! She was very service-oriented and very, very nice! I wish I’d gotten her name to give her a shout out, but she had short, brown, curly hair.
Stopped by at 3:15 on a Friday evening for a cocktail and snacks. Service was snappy and friendly, the rye cocktail was superb (and deadly, definitely NOT watered down), the wedge salad very hearty, and the cheeseburger sliders excellent.
This is a great place to dine and have cocktails. The Halibut cheek special was very good. I would have liked my couscous not be more hot versus luke warm. The service, however, was impeccable and we did not wait on the food despite it being really busy.
Ordered the chicken sliders and the Washington burger for take out. It was exactly as described on the menu, which was good. The sliders were straightforward. However, we didn’t end up eating our burger as it was not enjoyable to eat and the fries were an odd texture. Wish that the bun would have been toasted and buttered. Take-out versus dining in probably was a factor.
I visited here about 3 weeks ago and the food was great! I got a picture of the grilled chicken sandwich and I don't usually take a chance on ciabatta due to personal preference but it was so light and airy and the ingredients really worked together and made it yummy- I'd rate it a solid 8 out of 10 chicken sandwich. My mom and sister and I all shared the zombie fries as well and my GOODNESS they were delicious! The fries were crunchy and the pork and cheese and cilantro and really every ingredient melded so well together I would go back just for those! The mimosa was nice and strong which suited me well but my sister couldn't take it (totally up to you on strength) but overall this was a 9.5/10 experience. Our waitress was very lovely and so was the hostess- extremely accommodating and kind.
Went here for brunch while on a little weekend getaway to Bend, and was really happy with the experience! It was nice to be able to make reservations instead of having to wait like so many other places. The service was friendly and fast, and the food was yummy! I had the breakfast special of steak and eggs and it was delicious, as were the smashed crispy breakfast potatoes that came with it! I’d definitely go back.
I went here for dinner and was able to get seated right away at the bar. I ordered the Zombie Fries and Buffalo Chicken Salad, both of them were very tasty. The bartender was very friendly and attentive. The salad was a little pricey ($18) so that’s why I gave it 4 stars.
Nice place and good vibe but unfortunately I probably ordered the worst thing on their menu, the double cheeseburger. Tasted good but it is so messy and hard to keep together to properly enjoy, probably because the of the two patties. I would recommend making it one larger patty.
Decent food. The Buffalo chicken salad was ample, fresh and tasty, as was the BBQ half chicken. Unless you're familiar with the area, this place can be challenging to find, so give yourself ample time to do so.
Everything I had here was great, from the vegetarian to non vegetarian options. Drinks were lovely as well. Parking was limited and I did have to hunt around to find a spot.
Popcorn needed salt. Bacon was rubbery. Burrito was ok but had hair in it. Fries were perfect. Because potatoes were great in the exterior but dry in the inside. Staff was fantastic.
Tartar was subpar. My friend got their 35$ bavette I got the 65$ ribeye on special. Wish I would’ve gotten the bavette and saved 30$. the ribeye sucked, tasted like they cooked it in olive oil without any seasoning.
Disappointed. I live nearby and go to Washington’s often. Tonight I had the full wedge salad for $18 with prawns and avocado for another $12. The prawns were $8 for 3 and they were small shrimp at best - tiny little shrimp. The avocado was overripe and small in portion. The whole salad ended up costing $30 and it was small in all portions - it looked like their half salad. I felt ripped off by the cost and lousy portions. I came home still hungry. I’m not giving up on Washington’s, but I won’t order their wedge salad again. Be advised. Scott M.
Okay food with a high price tag. We ordered a $22 burger which was tiny and just okay. We paid almost $90 for a beer, a glass of wine, a burger, and an order of meatloaf. There are much better places to go in Bend that have better food and drinks at better prices. The atmosphere was good, but not great.
We dined at Washington this past Monday evening. It wasn’t very busy, which I imagine is typical for the start of the week. Let me start by saying: we’re not in the habit of leaving reviews—sometimes positive but rarely negative. The restaurant industry is incredibly challenging, and we typically give the benefit of the doubt when things aren't perfect. That said, this visit was disappointing enough that we felt compelled to share. We’ve eaten here many times and are big fans of the Buffalo Chicken Salad, which—true to form—was delicious. The food has always been a highlight. Unfortunately, the service this time was unlike anything we've experienced in Bend, possibly ever. The woman who sat us, was also our server (possibly named Mary Grace), seated us, and then we waited over 15 minutes without any acknowledgment. When she did return, her first words were, “Are you ready to order everything—food and drink?” I would’ve loved to have ordered a drink 15 minutes earlier while looking over the menu, but we went ahead and ordered. Our meals arrived, but we didn’t see her again for nearly half an hour. Meal was over, our drinks had all run dry etc. No check-in, no refill—my beer sat empty for at least 15 minutes. Meanwhile, we could clearly hear her and others chatting at the nearby station. We were seated outside, so it was noticeable. This felt like a case of complete indifference. It was, hands down, the worst service we’ve had in Bend. We're loyal to places we enjoy, but this experience was a real letdown. Food is too expensive these days and when combined with absolutely terrible service, it is hard to justify a revisit.
My wife and I brought a group of co-workers and family to dinner on Feb. 14th. It was a group of 5 and we sat in a booth, though it was a bit tight. We made the reservation about 4 weeks ago and picked the Washington because it has been one of our go to restaurants when we visit Bend. We have been there in excess of 20 times over the past years. Having said that, I severely doubt we will ever be back. We had cocktails, appetizers, entrées, and dessert. The food and service was top notch as we expected. As the dessert was dropped off at the table, our server also placed the check. We paid immediately and were finishing our dessert and our wine when we were approached by someone who came to the table and told us, “I need you to head out. We have other reservations,” and just walked away. I assume this lady was a manager, but we had not had contact with her before. She didn’t ask how our meal was and didn’t check to see where we were in our meal as some of our group still hadn’t finished their dessert. She was curt and seemed angry at us for over staying our welcome. I can assure you, we in no way stayed later than any four course meal should last. My wife and I were horrifically embarrassed in front of our coworkers. In no way did we deserve to be talked to that way. I get it was Valentines Day, but again, we had multiple courses and TBH didn’t pick the pace of the evening. It’s very confusing because the booth next to us was there at our arrival and was still sitting as we left. Perhaps she went to the wrong booth, but we will never know. I looked at our check and we ordered at 6:20 and checked out at 7:40. Not an unusual timeframe for four courses on a busy night. I spoke to her as we were leaving and again, no apology, just, “I have other reservations.” She never once asked how our meal was and obviously didn’t care that she had embarrassed great customers. After I told her how humiliating the situation was for us she continued to repeat, “I have other reservations.” I’m still in disbelief as I’m righting this on how poorly we were treated. Even if she felt we stayed too long (which we didn’t) why she choose this method of communication is perplexing. Again, you lost some excellent customers needlessly.
We made a reservation and had to wait 10 minutes for a table. The table was so close to the next ones, it was very uncomfortable for all. The food was not fresh. I had the chicken salad. I wish we had stayed home.
