The Halfway House C/Gerona Halfway House Bar/Restaurant I would say is probably one off the best in its class, I've heard so much about it I decided to go early for breakfast, I was pleasantly surprised very clean modern and well run,the breakfast came out nice and hot and the staff were very helpful, Looking at the menu it all looked good and everything comes on its own plate or platter, It also has a good choice of Draught beer, It has good WiFi and takes Credit cards, Has large screen tv's but not over the top, It also has good disabled access and a disabled restroom, This day and age good disabled access is very important, Just been back to the bar with a friend he had a lovely breakfast and I had toastie,I ythought it was a nice touch when I ordered my toasties I said no garnish please and she turned around and said would you like a few chips,I thought was a nice touch⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Also I see they also have USB charging sockets above each table for your mobile phones or tablets another thoughtful touch,

We should have ordered a doggy bag for what we couldn't eat. We'd have had food for the rest of the week. The service was good, the food was delicious and the plate of fish and chips was so big, at one point I felt like I was taking part in a Man vs Food challenge. I lost, obviously. My partner had the half portion of ribs, she ate the lot, and the onion rings too but I don't think she managed to eat a single chip, nor any of the mushrooms and the tomato didn't stand a chance. They were never going to be more than garnish. I'd return but maybe to order something from the kids menu. The woman on the next table had a starter followed by the fish and chips and ate the lot, except for the lemon slice. I don't know how, and I don't know where she put it. She wasn't even big. Well done woman on the next table.

Great Bar situated on the pedestrianised area of Calle Gerona (old town end) Tables both inside and outside While we were there, we met the owner Ron. What a lovely guy he is too! Very chatty and welcoming. The staff too were super friendly. We got chatting to the guy who served us and he said what a great bar it was to work in, due to how nice the manager was! This certainly shows too and obviously helps create the lovely atmosphere. Definitely recommend!

We were greeted by all the staff of the restaurant and we were impressed by the attention Valentina gave us Food was piping hot and certainly large quantities. My wife couldn't finish hers!!

I came to The Halfway house on the 11th of June and was very impressed with the food and the staff. The steak was cooked to my liking and my peer really enjoyed there sunday lunch! The chips provided were lovely home cooked chips which was nice after eating fries most of my time in Benidorm. I would definitely recommend here if your looking for a nice meal similar to home :))

Had the large breakfast (7.50) was delicious couldn't eat it all, but was good and hot and tasted fresh. My fella got the jacket spud with tuna mayo and salad good value also, his was 6.50. Happy pleasant staff. Recommended yummy

Perfect place for a full English amd plenty of options on other meal. Looked as good as it tasted!! Service really good,plenty of seats inside or outside. Nice modern decor and furnishings and spotlessly clean.100 % visit again in March on next trip!!! Couldn't wait till March so had an evening meal before departing. Bangers and mash for me was amazing and wife had prawn Marie jacket potato and that was amazing too!! Amazing atmosphere not many empty tables and will adjust for groups if possible.Good choice of drinks and well done again!!

What a friendly place, staff where brilliant, very customer focussed. The food was amazing as you can see from our photos...I got food envy when the wifes fish n chips came out...fish was mahoosive. The chicken and chips I had was very nice also. we will call in again on our visit the benadorm.

Ended up having breakfast here most mornings — the food was fresh, not greasy, and the bacon wasn’t overly salty, which was a big plus. One evening I tried the lamb chops and wow… five perfectly cooked chops with a full plate of food! Absolutely fantastic. The staff, Spanish, Romanian and English, were so friendly and welcoming. Honestly, I’d happily walk the extra mile just to eat here again!

Had a top dinner with 14 friends last night. Very good fillet steaks, lamb chops and gamon steak accompanied by homemade chips and sauces. Very friendly staff!

We went here twice while we were in Benidorm. What a place to eat. Food is absolutely stunning and the place is lush inside and out. Staff are amazing and take care of you. OMG. We ate here last couple of days of our holiday, wish we had found it from the start. Meals are fabulous. Super sized portions and reasonably priced. Staff were brilliant. This is the place to go to.

We visited the Half Way House in Benidorm twice during our stay and couldn’t fault it. One visit was for a Sunday roast, which was absolutely spot on, and the other was for another meal from the menu (can’t remember exactly what we ordered, but it was just as good!). The food was consistently great and the service was fabulous – friendly, attentive, and made us feel really welcome both times. Highly recommend this place if you’re in Benidorm and looking for good food and excellent service. We’d definitely go back.

Had dinner for 8 people for a ladies 60th. Messaged the restaurant in advance and booked time easy n quick response. Requested a birthday cake 🎂 and duly obliged perfect. On arrival they had setup some balloons and banner nice touch. We're served by an Irish lady she was terrific. Order was taken quickly and food arrived promptly. The food was terrific and portions huge, Prawn cocktails to die for.Main meals were also faultless, lasagne, steak n ale pie ,Salmon, carbenara all beautiful 😍. Followed by Birthday cake ,brilliant place for meal can't praise them highly enough. In Benidorm a must 100 percent recommend 👌

I have literally just left this lovely restaurant 15 minutes ago and I am now laying on my bed stuffed. Both mine and my partners meals were outstanding in terms of quality and value for money. All the staff were friendly, helpful, and very efficient. I don't gush about things like this but this place is an absolute gem and is deffo going to be a massive success. Well done all. X

Our first day(time) in Benidorm, choose here to eat and so glad we did. All the staff are friendly and helpful. The service was fast and they looked after my brother (who is special needs) talking, laughing with him and helping him get what he wanted. The food here came hot and was very, very tasty. One of the best new places to eat and drink in Benidorm. What a funky place, steam punk almost. Food is exceptional and such good value you will not be hungry when you leave. Drinks are great value too. The staff are all so nice, special mention to the kitchen staff who sure know their stuff. The special tonight was sweet chilli chicken it was to die for. We found halfway house whilst staying at HB centre. Popped in as it was packed, so it had to be good. Had fillet steak and salmon, which was lovely. We found it an ideal place to either grab a snack or for an evening meal. Offers an excellent menu selection and variable prices from a few euros upwards. We found the staff friendly and helpful, which made a good dining experience great. In total, we visited 3 different times over 4 days and different times throughout the day. Lunch, peak evening, and mid evening. Absolutely faultless, we were very happy on each visit. Portion sizes are good, food is tasty and hot, and meals are consistently high quality. They also have a good selection of drinks.

Bastante bien de calidad y cantidad. El servicio es bastante bueno. Pedimos separar una mesa para cenar en la terraza y en seguida nos la prepararon. El único pero es que cerveza de barril era Damm o Coors light, pero tienen más variedad en botellín

Ok wife and friend went last week and made a big fuss, demanding I went this week. So I went, so its good, so the staff was just the best, so the food was fresh and cooked to a high standard. do I give it 4+* yes and recommended that you try for yourself. so go and dare say different. Ask to do an update, and what can I say it's as lovely as all ways so stop reading this review and go and try it

Ordered the Mega breakfast. Food was lovely except really cheap baked beans and were luke warm and mushrooms were too thick and undercooked. I’m not convinced it was real Hp sauce either as way too watery. Ps couldn’t finish the breakfast.

Excellent service, atmosphere and food quality good, the only two things to mention we're the side salad was poor and the onion rings were greasy and tasteless, I had the Halfway house mega burger, dispite the later the burger and chips were very tasty. Highly recommend.

In October 2025 we met friends at the Halfway House located away from the hustle and bustle of the strip. There was a great atmosphere and a varied menu. I ordered the burger and chips, my husband had the steak with all the trimmings and our friends had lasagna, and curry and chips. Our meals were perfectly cooked and we received very good waiter service. We will definitely visit again.

Great staff, friendly and efficient. The restaurant has outside seating on a pedestrianised street which we enjoyed. I gave it 3 stars because of the some of the food. The hunters chicken was not very tasty, the pie was good but unfortunately my father who loves HP sauce struggled to enjoy his pie as the HP sauce was a cheap copy in a HP bottle. This was confirmed by the restaurant that a cheaper alternative was in the HP bottle - this could be slightly unsanitary refilling a bottle time & time again but also I don’t think it’s worth it for what you save trying to fool people. They gave us a couple of pound off the pie for this. The bangers and mash was good!

Visited here for lunch, lovely place, plenty of room inside and outside, staff were very polite, we didn’t wait long for our meals, I had fish and chips, it was huge, the problem I had the plate was to small and the huge fish covered the rest of the food, making it difficult to eat and the grease from the fish went all over the plate, a bigger plate would have been better. We would like to visit again but try something different.

We went to try this place for breakfast and unfortunately not a good experience. We kept being missed and people coming in after us were served quicker. We ordered 2 hot drinks which took about 10 mins to come to us, ordered breakfast which took about 40 mins. The breakfast was overdone so items were tough to eat. We didn’t have cutlery or sauces/salt bought to us like other tables. Went to pay the bill and the attitude was just as bad. The latte was nice tho

Viihtyisä paikka ja mukava henkilökunta. Ruokaa oli annoksissa paljon, mutta määrä ei korvaa laatua. Tavallisia mauttomia ranskalaisia, sipulirenkaita ym. Lautanen oli vain keltaista ja ruskeaa. Todella raskasta. Ei mitään makuja eikä mitään valmistettua. Vain uuniin ja lautaselle.

Food was generic like cheap bars and restaurants at home. The burger was like eating vegetable roll and I find hard bits in the burger. The half chicken has very little meat on it. The gravy was like brown water said my friend. The service was good at the beginning but got slow when we ask for second drinks.

Update: After that arrogant reply to a perfectly reasonable review from two people who live here, we won't be back. You are overrated compared to some of your competitors, I know the prices here. You are lucky you've got a good location & pleasant staff as your attitude stinks! Staff were nice and attentive. Food was a bit of a wait but they informed us before we'd even sat down which was appreciated. They recommended the Sunday lunch but didn't have all the stuff for it, if you want that go earlier. My partner accepted an extra Yorkshire pudding instead of the roast potatoes and the stuffing but I changed my order to the fish & chips. Fish was lovely but the chips weren't some were hard. We though the pricing was a little dear, 3€ for a pint of Spanish beer but at least it had a decent head. Same for the food, I know there's better value/quality elsewhere for the dishes we ordered. Toilets were clean & well stocked, I loved the bag rack in the ladies.

Nie wiem dlaczego ta restauracja masz aż takie dobre oceny ... poza klimatem nic specjalnego. Obsługa kiepska, myli zamówienia, pierwotnie otrzymaliśmy coś czego nie zamawialismy. Na swoje danie czekaliśmy ponad 45 minut, natomiast wszyscy dookoła je otrzymali. Nawet Ci, którzy przyszli dużo później. Dopiero po dłuższym spojrzeniu na kelnerkę ta zajarzyla, że poza piwem nic więcej nie otrzymaliśmy. Jedzenie również słabe. Zamówiliśmy "Grilled Salmon Fillet" i "Megaburger". Ryba była zwyczajna, ot nic specjalnego. Powiedziałbym nawet, że jadłem lepsze dania Natomiast burger to był jeden z najsłabszych, jakie jadłem w życiu. Sucha buła, żadnych sosów w środku. Tragedia. Jedyny plus to duże porcje. Ale nic więcej. Ogólnie nie ma polecam tej knajpy. Przy wyborze sugerowalismy się opiniami. Jednak w tym przypadku to był błąd. Przy tak dużej ilości opinii, jedna negatywna więcej nie zmieni ogólnej oceny na maps.google. Ale chociaż zostanie jakiś ślad po tym i może ktoś wnikliwy ją przeczyta.
