Ivan is gruff but good, when you listen to his stories you can't help but admire his knowledge, those who say that the raw materials are not of high quality don't understand anything about cooking, foiolo stew to tears, wonderful anchovies with a French butter, Langhirano ham and local salami are top! There is refinement and knowledge great Ivan (Baffo) what a great discovery your place is.

This place is AMAZING! One of the best meals I've had in Italy and the father and son staff were as friendly as friendly could be. They make a point of making it a personal experience and ensure your meal is superb. We originally walked down their street looking for the restaurant on the right but to me this one is FAR better. The wine and food were amazing and the prices were beyond fair.

No joke... one the top 3 food experience of my life. The home made salami, the pasta and the wine you could die for. Many local people there so i figured it out that this is no tourist buissiness. A family restaurant since 1969 that you really feel in their cookingspirit. How is the rest of the trip going to top this experience?...

Già dall' entree " di benvenuto",due polpettine di carne,ci siamo guardati e la frase è stata" MI RICORDANO LE POLPETTE DELLA NONNA IRIS"... E da lì i sapori delle pietanze che si sono susseguite ci hanno fatto tornare a casa dei nonni,e la compagnia dell' oste,che intratteneva simpaticamente altri ospiti ci ha fatto ridere fino alle lacrime. Un ambiente molto semplice e tanto familiare, Servizio cortese e veloce. E poi dove mangi i casoncelli accompagnati da un rosé mosso francese?! Certo che lo consiglio! 🤗

Locale che si identifica con il proprietario, amante della Francia, impersonifica l'hôte francese amico dei clienti che conosce, che si comporta come se fosse nella cucina di casa (si accende la sigaretta all'interno del locale con nonchalance). A chi piace questo ambiente informale si trova subito a proprio agio. Menù ristretto ma ben congegnato. Piatti gustosi, buona scelta di vini. Ambiente un po' rumoroso. Consigliato per un'esperienza. Oltre alla cucina, esiste anche l'educazione, imparatela!

Avevamo prenotato x 6 persone x sabato 8 giugno 2024 alle ore 20,45. Era la nostra prima volta. Ci siamo presentati in orario e ci siamo sentiti dire dalla signora che ci ha accolto all'entrata dell'osteria : dovete attendere almeno 20 minuti perché altri commensali devono ancora "liberare" il tavolo. Siccome c'era sembrata una mancanza di correttezza nei nostri confronti da parte della signora, non abbiamo atteso e ce ne siamo andati alquanto indignati. Mi piacerebbe sentire cosa pensa il tanto decantato proprietario Ivan di questa situazione. Cordialmente ciao.

Over-charged at €60 per person without itemized bill and because the owners, ‘brother is not here and I am not good at accountancy ’. I do not recommend that you take that risk. It’s a shame because the food was great and the owner was a great character!

Truly unpleasant. The host, celebrated by some as "charismatic," proves simply incapable of managing the dining room in a dining experience that feels like a fledgling establishment. He does everything himself but doesn't listen to any of the customer's requests, leaves the menus and forgets about my table, arrives and half the menu is unavailable (except to bring items to other tables who arrive later), doesn't remember where the bottles you order are, and doesn't bring you the alternative you request because he brings you one of his own choosing. Meanwhile, he yells and swears (yes, two swear words uttered in the dining room) and the wine is brought after the dishes, which in the meantime are getting cold. The embarrassed customers pretend nothing is happening or simply go along with this awkward local ritual. Interesting labels (if he finds them), beautiful paintings, quality ingredients (those available): simply everything wasted and debased in a service so clumsy it borders on parody. The only island of decorum was the waitress, who salvaged what little could be salvaged with a minimal, silent professionalism that the rest of the place didn't even touch.
