Moved here from San Diego and been craving some good Mexican food! This spot got the Best House Salsa ever! Must try! I came here before but this time I got the breakfast burrito and it was crazy good! I added their homemade salsa and it was unbelievable. I’m already planning my next visit to this spot and I live in Vallejo lol

For a gas station sidekick, it's great. Food is perfect standard Cali Mex and the prices are great for the area, quality and quantity. Nicer than that taco truck, but just.

Don't be turned off by the gas station next door, this place easily has the best Mexican food in Berkeley. If you find most other taco shops in Berkeley to be kind of... bland, please go to Aliberto's! I need them to succeed and stay here forever.

Being from SD this place has a spot in my heart. Rolled tacos & guacamole.. carne asada burritos with NO RICE and BEAN!! ❤💯❤ has a good salsa bar as well.. And lots of breakfast burrito choices.. Menudo, super nachos. So much better than the over priced rice and bean filled burritos..

Carne asada fries? In the bay? Holy cow I am pleased! I'm from San Diego and it's ridiculous no one knows how to make these properly up here. This place hit the old nostalgia spot. Sauce was spicy too. Only criticism is the fries could be a little bit more crispy but it was a good portion and tasty toppings! Also the cheese was melted which THANK YOU means it was HOT when I got it. Husband had a California burrito and he was pleased with it too. Great little local place!

The rolled taco where delicious I would have given 5 stars but the crispy beef taco is majorly lacking meat! I am from SD and this is the closest thing I can find in the bay that serves southern california style mexican food. I will definitely be going back to try out a few more things

I was super skeptical about this place being similar in quality of flavor/quality compared to San Diego Mexican Restaurants/burrito shops such as Robertos. The flavor of the carne asada was on point! The only thing that brought the experience down a bit was the quality of the guacamole and the thinner burrito. You can count on a SD carne asada burrito to be twice the width. The flour tortilla was not the same quality as SD shops, but tons better than the average Mexican places in NorCal. Their rolled tacos were close too, but super heavy in cheese versus guacamole which is opposite from SD. Another dish that could be elevated with better quality guacamole. Still better than not having it at all though! Or waiting until I visit SD. I will definitely order from this place again.

Mexican food everywhere has become so expensive for what it is.....tortillas.....rice and beans..ah....and salsa.....$18 for this and a Non refill Jamaica....too much...but not just here...i m talking even the lunch or food trucks...it is insane.

I really wanted it to be the Roberto’s for Northern California. I’ve been to another one and the food quality was better. We were a little disappointed on the tastes and portions. Carne asada was dry. Crispy beef tacos weee small and not very flavorful. Will try again and see if it is better

Sometimes the meat can be a little bit dry or too much seasoning on the food. Also the service Is just ok. I do like the beans and rice though. The parking can get a little but full In this location. Good food to fill the belly!

I couldn’t finish the burrito , tasted old and was very very greasy. The meat was room temperature and the pico de Gallo was ice cold. Not worth $14

The super fries are listed as including sour cream, guacamole, and beans. I asked for no beans but they ended up giving me no beans, no sour cream, and no guacamole. I wouldn’t be so mad if this wasn’t $16.

The taco was another tortilla folded over and at least that was fried that was also stuffed with a bunch of lettuce And I ordered one with beef and there was probably two fingers worth of beef in there. And the refried beans look like they definitely came from a can. Definitely not maiden house that’s for sure and I got a an orange drink to go with it. That was probably the only thing that was right about this entire meal all for the low low price of $20! This plate of food probably cost them $1.50. I asked one of the people how long they’ve been open and he said they’ve been open for a whole year. I don’t know how that’s possible but the kind of food I got they should’ve closed the following day after they opened!
