The 91.5 Ike’s Reuben is hands down one of the best sandwiches I’ve had. Perfectly stacked with tender corned beef, melted Swiss, sauerkraut, and that signature sauce that brings everything together just right. All of it on that legendary Dutch crunch bread — crispy on the outside, soft on the inside — makes every bite hit. It’s filling, flavorful, and made with care. This sandwich alone is a reason to come back to Ike’s Love & Sandwiches. Ask for Javier G.

A nice sandwich place in Berkeley. The portion is good, and they have free lollipop that comes with the sandwich you order. I had Steph Curry, which is great. The sauce in the sandwich is pretty unique, and there are lots of choices on the menu. The restaurant has great creativity and it is worth trying.

A huge variety of sandwiches. It's friend chicken substitute for meat is most popular. The place has uneven crowd/rush - mostly for pick up as it's not great for a dine-in experience. It's like any fast-food restaurant rather than a dine-in one. Definitely must try place.

Service there is remarkable, and servers are caring! The environment is great for sitting down and relaxing for a few minutes. The quality of the sandwiches are not fancy, but that doesn't take away from the myriad of meats with varying flavors for different preferences. However, they have more than just meats, so there is that (you can check the menu via photos from the interior or online). Overall, I really enjoy going here after my first class of the day to just eat good a sandwich of my choice and relax!

Mobile Order quoted me 25 minutes but they had it ready for me in 15 minutes. Absolutely love their sandwiches and service! This time, I got the Hunter Pence with some modifications and they STILL got it assembled and packaged for me early. They do a fantastic job and the sandwich was delicious as usual. You can’t beat their Dutch Crunch bread and their “dirty sauce.” I always get the Leninade to wash it down. Nothing better on a hot day!

Sandwiches were absolutely delicious and the service was blinding fast! I had gotten the Shattuck street sandwich, very tasty and I had a huge variety of choices for myself. The restaurant had a bathroom and plenty of seating. The staff were very attentive and hardworking, and the serving sizes and portions were huge! I'd highly recommend coming here to stop by for a quick bite that will leave you satisfied.

Not the speediest sandwich place, but its worth the wait! They put time into crafting your sandwich.... its not just a bunch of pre sliced cold cuts slapped on bread. They have a big selection of sandwiches, so take your time to look through the menu. My son swears by the 3030 Curry Sandwich. Plus, he's a Steph Curry fan. I loved my HB, Harrison Barnes sandwich! It was a chicken parmesan sandwich...I recommend it on Dutch Crunch.

Decent quality, large sandwich with a ton of options. Busy part of town though and took awhile to get sandwiches. If you want a fast in and out, be careful cuz it'll take longer than an average sandwich takes to make when it's crowded

Great sandwiches. Smiling employees, but it took way too long to get a sandwich. Long line and long wait...once that's worked out, this place will be a gem...if they can quiet down the ice machines as well...

This is my second time coming to the Berkeley location. The staff was very professional and down to earth. The sandwich was tasty! I will be going back to try a few other sandwich options. I love the fact that they offer a free blow pop with every sandwich! How cute is that? 💛💛💛

I come to Ike's for its excellent variety of vegetarian and vegan sandwiches. I especially like the Meatless Mike vegan meatball sandwich, and the Green Goblin, with vegan turkey, barbeque sauce, and cheddar. You can get almost any of the meat sandwiches vegetarian too. Just substitute vegan meats. Ike's also offers vegan cheeses. I highly recommend the Dutch Crunch bread, though there are other choices, including gluten-free. The sandwiches are large enough that you'll have enough for two meals, though I wouldn't blame anyone who wanted to eat the whole thing at once. To avoid the wait, especially at lunch, call in your order ahead or better yet, use the free app.

During busy hours their waiting area sucks and you should order pickup. Otherwise their sandwiches are great, and you seriously get what you pay for with their heavier sandwiches. One order of Kryptonite can last you two days if you can resist eating it all at once.

Love Ike's sandwiches. The food here tastes just as great as every other location that I have been to, but the service here is probably the worst. First time I was here, they forgot to make my sandwich. Was waiting for awhile before inquiring and they acted like nothing was wrong. In fact, they were giving me attitude about it when I told them what the order was and that I had wanted all the toppings on it. No apologies or anything. Second time, ordered ahead of time to make sure that didn't happen. I arrived at the estimated time, and they have not even begun making the sandwiches. When I let the cashier know, he said oh let the sandwich makers know you're here to pick up. When I did that, they started to make my sandwich then, putting me way behind in the line of the other people who had ordered. No apologies again. VERY unprofessional staff members here. If the location wasn't so convenient and the food good I would never come back. But it'll be rare that I would want to waste my time waiting here.

I came in just to order a sandwich, and not one that appeared on the order wall. I ordered a turkey with bacon on a French roll, and it was good. Like it was just made, which it was. It was my first time actually visiting an Ike's, and the sandwich made the visit worthwhile.

3 stars cause Service was super slow, since they only had Two workers, students show ur ID and get a discount, bathrooms needed a lil TLC, but it’s useable. They should do a better job with their hand washing policy, didn’t like that they Answer phones and handle money, while working, to their credit they do change out gloves when asked, but that never looks good. With only two workers it took a bit for my 4 sandwiches, then they only made three of my four sandwiches had to go back and show my receipt, I would prefer another location for sure… my sandwiches was good, and I left a 20% tip. Most ppl seem to buss their in tables which I’m great with, it made it a lot cleaner inside. If you haven’t had an Ike’s sandwich, you are truly truly missing out! Matt Cain is always the go to, but since I gave up Meat for a while, I did the Meatless mike and the vegetarian Somthing artichoke and mushrooms on it yum yum.

Echoing some of the other reviews. Lots of waiting involved. From ordering to picking up orders. Chicken was on the dry side. Sandwich wasn't fully cut meaning I had to rip the bottom half of the sandwich. Sauce is amazing and that was pretty much the only redeeming quality.

Sandwiches are decent. Just take forever. Got my last order without the added pickles and banana peppers after waiting 35 min. The ticket stapled to the bag was hella greasy n got my hands all dirty then the bag ripped and sandwich fell on the ground. Pol Nothing went right with that sandwich yesterday

Not enough meat, and the sour dough bread was terrible. You can get a lot better sandwiches for this price point. All you get with Ike's is fun names and sandwiches soaked in interesting sauces. Loved ike at the original spot back in the day... Too bad it hasn't held up as a chain.

Sandwiches are great, but the last three times I've been here, it takes 20-30 minutes from when I ordered to get a single sandwich, and it wasn't even that busy. If you can wait for awhile, they're good sandwiches, but don't expect good/quick service.

I didn't realize it was a chain, looked interesting but just marketing, food was very boring and not very good and very expensive, service was surly to say the least, certainly won't ever want to go to any Ike's anywhere again...

Pretty good sandwiches, but the price is a bit too high. Main complaint is that they add a mandatory automatic tip to your order. To have them not add this, you have to tell the worker who is about to make your sandwich to remove the tip that they automatically add. This is in very poor taste. I would tip after if the sandwich is good - not before it's even made! Until this is changed, I won't be coming back.

TLDR: Ordered a simple Jim Rome. 1st attempt: added surprise pickles 2nd attempt: no turkey 3rd attempt: no cheese, no avocado I give up. Ordered a Jim Rome from their website with lettuce, tomato, and onion. It was delivered and made with pickles. I called the store and explained the situation. They gave me a refund which was awesome. I proceeded to order another sandwich on their website. The exact same thing. Once delivered, I found it was made without turkey.... I got in my car and drove to the store and spoke with the same employee, I think, since there were only 2 working. He was shocked that turkey was not included and offered to remake the sandwich a 3rd time. I gave him both receipts with the same order and received the correct sandwich. I did bring back both mistakes and asked him if they could give it to someone. He said u could leave it and they'll give it to some homeless people at the end of the night. I was glad to hear the food was not going to waste. My issue boils down to ordering delivery for the convenience. After 2 attempts of delivery, I still had to drive down to the store and have them make the sandwich a 3rd time. I get that mistakes happen, but come on, twice in a row with the same sandwich and customer. It doesn't end there. I got home and went to eat the third attempt of my sandwich. No cheese. No avocado. I'm done. Should I tempt fate and ask for a 4th remake? At this point it's a lost cause.

I tried to order a Philadelphia cheese steak, because the menu said if you don't see your favorite feel free to order it. He told me no, walked away, then helped the person in line behind me as I waited. Told me he could make me a custom Philly cheese steak but it was going to be more expensive than the ones on the menu costing 10.00$ I don't mind the price but service was horrible.

Mobile order estimated 20 minutes, actually took 50 minutes. No explanation given, just kept being told to wait another 10 minutes. I try to be sympathetic to anyone working in the food industry, but this was a waste of my time for two already expensive sandwiches, and makes me never want to get Ike’s again.

I been here before & loved my sandwich, today wasn't one of those days. I ordered salami & cheese & what I got was burnt salami that I thought was bacon until I took a closer look. I was too far to go back & show the condition of my order.

Sandwiches are great but love is nowhere to be found in employees with a bad attitude. Starting with the bathroom that was declared out of order as they couldn't be bothered looking for the key.

THE WORST IKES! Great chain but this location is HORRIBLE. Sandwiches are clearly made with no love. If you want ikes, go to Oakland, where you will consistently receive quality sandwiches made to real ikes standards. They're overheated and overpriced sandwiches - I've eaten a lot of ikes and come to expect quality from them. This location is NOT on par.

As someone who used to work for a sub shop with a conveyer belt toaster for years, this was 💯 the worst sub I've ever had. First, I ordered no tomato, add pickles and jalapeños - I got my sub after waiting 10 minutes WITH tomato, and only one SINGLE jalapeño in the entire sub, let alone parts of my tomatoes were green, as in under-ripe. Moreover, my sub must have been sitting around as I waited and the toasting time overly rushed; the cheese wasn't melted at all and the whole sub was soggy and lukewarm by the time I took my first bite. This was my first time at an Ike's Sandwiches and it will definitely be my last; especially since when I came in they had only 1 person ahead of me and those working had no customer service skills to speak of - the field is CUSTOMER service, you serve the customer. I didn't even bother trying to take my sub back; I didn't want to wait another 10 minutes to get another soggy, ill-prepared sub.

$3.50 for a standard-sized, generic bottle of water. These go for like .69 cents at Safeway. That's over a 400% mark-up. Gotta ask if that's really necessary when the sandwiches are $20. There's making a profit and there's blatantly ripping people off.
