I'm delighted to write a positive review for Las Delicias, your favorite Salvadoran restaurant! Their food is truly amazing, but let me tell you, their pupusas are an absolute delight. From the moment you take your first bite, you're transported to a world of delicious flavors and authentic Salvadoran cuisine. The combination of the soft, thick corn tortilla filled with savory ingredients is simply heavenly. I ordered through Grubhub and their food was fresh and piping hot even after delivery. Las Delicias has truly mastered the art of crafting pupusas that are both flavorful and satisfying. Their dedication to quality ingredients and attention to detail shines through in every bite. Whether you're a pupusa aficionado or a first-time explorer of Salvadoran cuisine, Las Delicias is the place to be. You won't be disappointed!

The main entry has such nice plating and assortment of colors that for a second that I think I am on vacation! Papusas are very tasty as well!

5 minutes before they closed, I accidentally forgot to order 2 fish so they made a second fish better than the original one. Meanwhile I ate the chicken pupusas and they were so crispy with a strong smell I knew they were delicious before I even saw them. The food was so hot it was burning my fingers holding it and when I got home it was still hot which is perfect for a to go takeout order.

Las Delicias is one of my favorite spots in Berkeley! The food is authentic Salvadoran and halal, which is such a great find. Their pupusas are a must—crispy, cheesy, and full of flavor. The restaurant itself is very cozy, beautifully decorated, and has such a warm, welcoming vibe. Portions are generous, prices are fair, and the staff is always kind and attentive. I've worked near here for 7 years but never stopped until today. I regret delaying! I got the chicken super burrito and it was super good. The chicken was well done, not dry at all and the flavor was great. Will definitely come back!

I actually saw this restaurant on tiktok which someone else had sent me . Now as muslims, we are eating good in the bay area because the offerings have started to get so much varied ! So when i saw a El Salvadorion restaurant that was fully halal?! I HAD to try it ! The decor is amazing , clean and nice presented. Ali was there to greet us and was kind and gave us information about their VAST menu. Seriously even though I was looking at it for 15 mins there was still so many choices I had to narrow down ! I did order the pupusas, plantains with vanilla cream filling , gyro fries , pastelitos. Pupusas there are large offerings of stuffing, beef and cheese , chicken and cheese. Jalapeños and cheese, shrimp. Spinach and it goes on and on which is a good problem to have . I did order beef and chicken with their lunch special which comes with beans and rice. When I tasted it , let me tell you, it rivals homemade cooking from a El Salvador mom! I enjoyed it and it was amazing. The pupusas was crispy and hot in the middle. You should probably use a fork and knife. The other pupusa is pupusa loca which combines most of their ingredients for a healthy mix of everything in one pupusa. For someone that loves meat, this one was top tier! Pastelitos was corn maza stuffed with beef, Potatos , carrots. This is similar to samosas but with a El Salvador touch of taste The stuff plantains was deep fried with either vanilla cream or beans . I chose the prior . It was chewy and warm. It had more plantains than cream but it was decent enough Beef gyros, since this was a fusion restaurant that has offerings of middle eastern and El Salvadorion dishes, I said let's try a middle eastern since most places do not offer a beef gyro only dish. This was something that could have been better as it felt underwhelming compared to the delicious offerings I had before that ! All in all, it was amazing and I will be back ! They have been open only 5 months so if you want something different and halal, this is your place! I can't wait to see how they progress with this restaurant!

Much more menu to explore, vegetarian, seafood, and steak. I left with money in my pocket, definitely can afford to eat there anytime. Thanks las D!

I am very disappointed. I have ordered fried yuca with chicharron (fried pork) many times through DoorDash app, but this time it was a 2-time failure. The first one arrived without the meat. I ordered it again and took the initiative to call the restaurant to explain the entire situation and beg them to serve me the meat this time. A lady responded very kindly telling me not to worry cz they were going to do it, but my surprise was huge when I received the order again and now with a paper note that says "we don't sell chicharron" to which I asked myself first: why do they advertise it as such on DoorDash app and also you have to pay for it? second: if I call by reaching some support and asking for it, why didn't the lady inform me or let me know they don’t sell chicharron anymore? Well at the end I spent 3 hours ordering and waiting for my food that never arrived as I ordered.

As I pulled it out of my mouth, I noticed it was the steak that was very salty and crunchy (this was old food). After taking a second bite, the salt and crunchy became even worse. I threw the burrito to the bird's downtown Berkeley, and they didn't even want to eat it. I went back to the restaurant on my break and told the Mexican lady cashier who took my order, that they sold me old food. The cashier's face said she already knew, but she didn't give a damn. Will never eat in the place again.

Eagerly, I sought my papusas. This meal would feed my team for hours to come as they served the interests of our clients. Yet at the moment of anticipation, Las Delicias disappointed. Their doors closed, lights off; service denied. A lesson learned: Las Delicias? More like Lost Deliverables.

They charged us higher than the prices shown on menu. The gyros were just bread and burnt meat, no sauce or spice at all. It was also extremely cold. It took us near 25 minutes to complete the order because customer service was inefficient and had to call 2 other people. It took way less time to eat than to order because of how little they gave.

My organization has gotten catering here in the past and it was fine. However, the next time we ordered they marked our order as complete, would not give a refund when asked, despite never giving us our food because they were closed. They confirmed beforehand that they would be open and the food would be ready, absolutely horrible!!!!!!!!
