We had such a wonderful experience at this restaurant! The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, showing exceptional kindness from the moment we walked in. Our food was prepared incredibly quickly without sacrificing quality—it was fresh, delicious, and exactly what we needed. Lovely staff, especially the manager. What really stood out was how helpful the staff was. They went out of their way to assist us with [specific situation, e.g., a special request, dietary needs, or any personal assistance]. It’s rare to find a place where the team truly cares about their customers. If you’re looking for great food, friendly faces, and outstanding service, this is the spot. We’ll definitely be coming back soon!

Service is always fast and friendly, and the food is consistently good! Shout out to the employees for recognizing me as a regular, I do be up there a lot, lol. Appreciate y'all!

Stopped in to get some soup and their delicious bread. I got it to go and the cashier put my drink in a large Tupperware, so fantastic portion size! I also checked out the beautiful patio and I look forward to eating there next time.

I enjoy Tendergreens Berkeley! I always order delivery and haven’t been disappointed once. I’ve tried almost everything on the menu—salmon, steak, short ribs, chicken, mac & cheese, mashed potatoes, cookies, veggies, and their salad with goat cheese. Everything is consistently fresh and flavorful. Even when I request my steak or salmon well-done, it’s still tender and juicy. The mac & cheese really surprised me—in a good way! I expected a stovetop version, but it was baked with breadcrumbs and had a nice subtle herb flavor. So good! Their family meal is a lifesaver—it helps me prep dinner for the next 2–3 days and feeds my family of 3 comfortably. Today I wanted a little something extra: the short rib sauce with my mashed potatoes, even though I wasn’t ordering the short ribs. I called the store, and the representative who helped me was super polite and helpful. She even checked if they could include the sauce and made it happen—no fuss. I completed my order online , and when my food arrived—bam, the sauce was there! Shoutout to the Tendergreens team for always coming through with good food and service.

Delicious high quality, healthy food! We got the salmon longevity bowl, fingerling potatoes, soup and lava cake and they were all amazing! We got take out but they have a patio, so we’re planning to go back in person. How does this place only have 4.2 stars?! I am so excited to have found Tender Greens.

I've enjoyed dinner here a few times now and have yet to be disappointed. The food is tasty, they usually have a small, but decent selection of taps, and their baked goods are delicious as well.

I had a Cobb Salad with Chicken which tasted amazing, with a side of perfectly cooked roasted potatoes. The customer service people were very friendly and replaced the utensils I dropped on the ground with clean ones. Now that’s good service. I wouldn’t say the place was “dead”, but when I went there weren’t too many people. Overall though, this is a good place and has good people working there so make sure to support them. Highly recommend you stop by if you’re looking for a healthy, local treat.

I love the grilled salmon fish and free organic reward drink. However, I wished my baked potatoes were cooked longer until crispy.

We stumbled upon Tender Greens while on vacation and I’m so glad we did! Very friendly staff and amazing service, going above and beyond when our order was taking awhile because they ran out of cooked white rice. Everything we ordered was so good. My salmon pacific bowl was so delicious and it blew me away how fresh and flavorful everything was. I wish we lived closer to this place!

I got a salad delivered from DoorDash here yesterday and it was so good, I was a little shocked. He had the steak and I had the salmon again and both were DELICIOUS. The quality of both dishes were something we would've paid $30-40 in a nice Napa restaurant. We will definitely add Tender Greens to our restaurant rotation and I'm so glad it's so near us. We hope this Berkeley location thrives and stays open for a long time.

They have some seasonal items as well so might check those out next time. A lot of good + healthy choices, and the restaurant was very clean and well-maintained. I'd say it's a pretty nice spot for lunch with friends, even to sit and work for a bit!

The food is consistently fresh, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned—not too salty, not bland—and the prices are super reasonable for the quality. First time to visit, our daughter has been swimming oit of the Cal Legends pool with a local team. My wife noticed your establishment when we leave every night going back down University.... But, the parking is usually really bad. Tonight on our way out, I saw a parking spot that I could shoehorn our csuv into and we stopped. The offerings were very diverse and pricing was actually quite reasonable. My wife and daughter split the Sea Bass plate with 2 sides of vegetables and I had the Bolognase Pasta. Both were excellent and the plates were of a decent size compared to almost all of the food places we have eaten in Berkeley. I loved the pasta it was almost cooked perfectly, not too soft like most places cook it and it was very close to perfect firmness (hard to do usually), flavor was excellent, one of best that I have had in a long time with large portions of meat with the shreaded carrots and a side piece of garlic toast. Well done by all, we will return to eat there again soon!

Great food, attractively plated but organized like a high-end healthy fast food joint. Everyone is pleasant and helpful, but you want a restaurant table service this is not the place. Wanting to eat delicious healthy fare? You will be a happy camper.

The parking is such an issue, it is often a deterrent and we end up choosing other options. The location is incredibly inconvenient as I know most of the orders from the restaurant are take-out and delivery, and the drivers who pile up in front of the restaurant for their order block traffic. Looking past that, the food is amazing. If they closed down, it would be enough persuasion to pick up my life and move to a closer location to eat there weekly. The salmon is on point every time, and nothing should be changed about the recipe. I've only had some concerns with the portion sizes on some of the dozens of orders I've had there, and if it gets busy I receive some lesser portions on salad and veggies in my plate, but this has happened across all the locations I've been to, so it may be a supply/management issue. The staff is caring and kind, and quick to cater to customers.

The seared tuna plate was done just right with thick pieces of pretty fresh fish. I think the prices were very reasonable for the quality and atmosphere Order at the counter, and they'll bring out your food. They'll bus your table afterwards too. $50 for a family of 4, including tip. Not bad!

The food here is excellent, but the dine-in service can be extremely slow—even on a Saturday evening, wait times can exceed 30 minutes (to be honest this is random — sometimes just a 5-10min wait). It appears that the kitchen prioritizes mobile takeout orders over dine-in customers. On this visit, they informed me that the item I had ordered was unavailable 25 minutes after I placed the order.

We use to love this place and decided to brave the parking situation to come. However the portions are now so small we left and ate at home too. I don’t actually eat very much and have never left a restaurant hungry before, but it was a meager meal for $16. We also waited an hour for our food. My salmon ended up so undercooked it was gooey. But I didn’t want to complain, the employees were working so hard as it was and were busy.

The amont of food in the plates is so small. I don't know if the salads are larger, but the cost (almost 25$) for the amount of food I received felt very wrong. I know everything is expensive. But the pictures of how full the plates are compared to what I got was sad. The young man at the counter was very kind and what I did receive was delicious. The quantity is what was lacking.

I ordered shrimp from here and was disappointed to find out they require you to season it yourself lol. All jokes aside there is no excuse to be serving up flavorless shrimp to people when so many seasonings exist. If you need me to bring you some salt just say that. I also ordered tomato soup which surprisingly had flavor so I used that to help with the shrimp.

You'll have to wait a lot longer than you expect. I've used both pick up and delivery services at this restaurant. In the case of pick up, it was more than 20 minutes behind the maximum time I reserved, and for delivery, it took 2 hours. But the staff here don't seem to care at all about late orders, and they always seem relaxed. Being relaxed isn't a bad thing, but it's a pretty unpleasant experience to be overly relaxed even though they're wasting customers' time. The food in this restaurant is very good and delicious, but the service of the clerks seems to be very poor.

Food was cold I ordered a steak plate and it looked like either someone ate half or something fool me once won't be happening again.

I normally visit this place, but there was a guy with hella attitude at the register towards other people and it was real off-putting so I just left and went elsewhere. Will reconsider if I don’t see him here or if the behavior is discontinued.

Staff was abusive. He was aggressive and using violence words. He is tall and muscular wearing black cap. Had a short beard on his face. He was completely trying to beat me. I was just picking up my food. Customer service was not tolerance he shouldn’t be working if he don’t like it.
