Atma

One of the best beer bars in Brooklyn. They have a great staff excellent selection of beers that are always rotating, and a fun friendly atmosphere. When the weather is nice the front patio is definitely the place to be.

It was my first time visiting and I found it on eventbrite. What attracted me to pine shop is the comedy show is free (tip how much you want) and drinks are not required but we still bought. When I was looking at comedy shows in mahattan they were the opposite with a mandatory drunk minium which was a turn off. So I love pine shop for being different.After the comedy show which was 9pm to 11pm they had karoke. It was also free up until 3am I believe. So I was able to try two new things. My only complaint was the room for the karoke and comedy show was cold, the bathroom tiolet could be cleaner. Also a dog was in there for a few minutes. I would be returning and I told my friends about it. I even had friends who asked based on my video.

Update: I like coming here every once in a while, I like the variety of people that come to the bar. I feel a little like an outcast at times (lol) but that’s on me, I only come here when I’m really feeling a chill place for a drink. The beer selection is big and usually under $10 on tap, and they host cool events I have to check out sometime. They now offer a pizza, which I would assume is good because last time I went, the person next to me ordered it and was raving about it. The only cons I can think of is I wish happy hour had a better selection and more food/snack options. I would like to be around a friendlier crowd, but I guess it’s either me or I came on an off day. Beer on tap for less than $10 is cool for one drink, but it starts adding up if you’re not careful. The bartenders do earn their tip being attentive though.

What a great find. This unique bar has a great atmosphere, interesting drink choices and friendly bartenders. Fairly clean, plenty of space and relatively clean bathrooms. They have tables out front so you can sit outside. They have karaoke in the back room weekly and it's a lot of fun. The back room needs a good wipe down though, and the air conditioner back there is insufficient.

Went to this bar to kill time with a friend while waiting for my girlfriend. We are vegan so I thought this bar would be perfect to grab a bite and a drink. When we arrived, it was pretty dead with most people sitting outside and about 5 people at the bar. The bartender was pretty nice. When I realized there was no cellular service inside the establishment- they provided the WiFi no problem when I asked. But when I ordered food, they let me know that the only vegan option they had was a vegan cheese pizza. It took about 15 minutes to finish because they said the cheese was frozen and had to defrost. When it came out it was very lack luster.. it was like a frozen pie you bought from the supermarket. But the pickle back margarita I ordered was good. Here's why I probably won't return to this bar - I guess we came on "karaoke night". The guy hosting the karaoke came from the back of the bar and asked everyone at the bar ( which wasn’t many people - maybe about 5) BESIDES my friend and I if they wanted to participate. They all declined. So he left. Maybe 15 minutes later... he came out and AGAIN walks past my friend and I then asks everyone else. Which was very weird being that we were the only people of color at the bar. The energy I got at this bar was unwelcoming. But I feel like it has so much potential.
