Love a Palestinian restaurant and this Ayat Restaurant had great hospitality, service and food!! The chicken shawarma plate was delicious. They serve fresh bread that comes out steaming which is perfect with the dips (hummus, baba ghanoush and muhammara) I would say that the taboule salad lacked some lemon/ salt but still great food overall!

10/10 all around!! Hospitality was amazing, our server was constantly checking in with us and going above and beyond to make sure our experience was great. I even mentioned that I loved the pomegranates on the grape leaves, and she brought me some on the side! Delicious Palestinian food :)

I’ve been here many times and the food and service have been consistently excellent. The portions are generous for the price you pay, and everything always tastes fresh and flavorful. Definitely one of my go-to spots—highly recommend!

We loved our first visit to Ayat. I have never been to Palestinian Restaurant before. The atmosphere was great and Decor was lively. Staff was warm and welcoming and the food was delicious. Took the server’s recommendations and so glad I did. We got Kefta Bi Tahina, zaatar Margarita, Mixed Grill and Limonana.

YUM - everything we got here was delish! We made reservations for a group of 6 for a Mother's Day lunch on a nice day, so they opened their space, which made it bright and comfortable. We started with their Fried Calamari, which was good, but a bit crispier than l'd like. The Mezze Filistini app was DELISH and plentiful. We had to get a few refills of pita, which were free! It was also perfect to pair the spreads with the rest of our meal, which made it worth it. For entrees, we split several dishes - Chicken Kebab and Kefta Mashawy dishes, which came with a perfect white sauce. Then, we also shared the Fattat Jaj and Lamb Ouzi Royale Traditional dishes. The Fattat Jaj was my FAVE!! It's topped with crispy pita and sliced almonds, which gave the dish a nice crunch. Staff were very attentive and kind. They helped pack our leftovers and gave us their lovely reusable takeaway bag to carry it all home. Would definitely come back with a large group again!

Great experience overall, lamb kebabs were juicy and loved the watermelon salad. A few things could be improved: the beef shawarma meat was a bit dry, they probably need one more waitress to help speed up the service, & the rice didn't have much flavor and needed salt. But other than that it was great.

Every time I come to Bayridge I will visit Ayat! I went to its old location first not knowing the old location was turned into a takeout/delivery store. I was told by the very nice lady running the register on that side that they opened a sit down restaurant across the street! When I entered I was blown away by the decor. I ordered the half chicken with rice and humus. The chicken was cooked to perfection and well seasoned, the humus was delicious. This restaurant is top 3 in the area for me not only because of its outstanding food but the kind staff as well! I'm proud of them for being brave during a time of uncertainty and embracing their heritage and culture which translates to delightful meals in the area. This is a must if you are in the area.

First review of 2025. Not only is Ayat's ambiance beautifully decored, the food is amazing. The single portions were huge and could've easily fed 2 people. Or maybe it was just us. We're glad we ordered small plates but we still had to take the rest to go which I didnt mind leftovers at all.Their chicken shawarma and roasted cauliflower appetizer were my favorite. Would like to also point out that their fresh made pitas and kefta were just as tasty. Lastly, you know this place good cos they have a separate location directly across the street just for take out only!

I really enjoyed my dinner at Ayat Bay Ridge — the Palestinian flavors here are bold and authentic, and it's cool to see a Michelin-mentioned spot right in the neighborhood. The hummus was silky smooth and probably the best I've had in NYC, especially with that generous drizzle of olive oil and warm pita. We also got the muhammara (loved the nutty, zesty kick from the pomegranate molasses) and crispy cauliflower which was perfectly spiced and addictive. For the main, the chicken shawarma platter was huge, juicy, well-seasoned with great char, and came with turmeric rice and fresh salad — super satisfying and great for sharing.

Drove 50 mins from queens to try Palestinian food for the first time. I sat myself decor is very pretty, staff was friendly but nothing of amazing hospitality. Now I got the Ramadan special which was $40 a steal on my opinion came with all the food in my picture attachments. Except the red mashes peppers omg that was just heaven. Meat was good but rice was 10/10. Will I drive another 50 mins for food here? Mabey, it's a solid place for good food and good vibe to go with friends.

Love the atmosphere in the restaurant and have ordered deliveries several times. Kebabs are great, spicy items are not overly spicy and the sides that come with the orders are also good. Not sure what happened during the holidays but placed a repeat order and it was not as good as previous orders, pita bread looked "old" and had grey patches on it, the usual included garlic dip was missing. This was disappointing as I had ordered extra pita as the dip is usually very generous - but didn't get to enjoy any of it.

This is the first time I’m tasting here. I heard great reviews. The pizza swarma Was delicious but the kunefe was not fresh. After waiting 20 minutes it was served cold and mushy. Fresh kunefe is crispy and warm. They did make up for it by giving us free baklava.

Honestly I feel so bad writing this because I’ve loved Ayat and their food before but the service was SO horrible tonight I was shocked sitting there. The restaurant should hire true professionals, not high school girls. I feel like the front brunette girl is ditzy and clueless, she didn’t take our order until 20 minutes of sitting, we had to literally flag her down to take our order. The red head girls kept being on their phone? The food took FOREVER to come where others who sat after us received it before however I assume it’s probably because we ordered makloubeh so it would take a while to make which is totally understandable so I appreciate the cook for taking the time. However the two young girls, one redhead and brunette who served us had us questioning why they were even hired? Literally kept forgetting us and we had to ask for the bill twice in the end because the brunette girl kept forgetting. My thing is it wasn’t even busy? I would’ve understood otherwise but these girls were genuinely careless. Service aside the food was actually good! I really liked the spicy kefta kabab. Super flavorful the meat and rice. The makloubeh was a bit disappointing, I’ve had it before from here and LOVED it but this time the chicken felt sooo dry. I’d probably get something else next time. I’m super upset about my visit to Ayat tonight because I genuinely wanted to love it as a local and patron that has visited before but the service left me so horrified I think I’d opt for the to go option instead across the street or just opt for better Arab establishments with better service in the area to be honest :(
