Opinions de Brighton Coffee Shop Beverly Hills
The food is not great. I don't normally have spinach on my eggs benedict and probably should have asked for it to be removed. The hash browns come in a bag, but despite all this, the service is wonderful, the pricing is very low for Beverly Hills and there is a sense of commune within the staff. I enjoyed my visit and would go back. I am pretty sure I saw a breakfast on the menu for under $7 complete. So it's a deal.
Loved my espresso hot chocolate at Brighton Coffee Shop! Classic coffee done right, with friendly service and fair prices. A Beverly Hills classic gem!
Had a great Midday meal at Brighton Coffee Shop. The Caesar salad with the grilled chicken was so fresh and dressed perfectly. My daughter got the ramen and was NOT disappointed! What a fantastic experience! <3
Good food and service. Prices are actually too low! Come and try, you'll enjoy a cup of $3.00 coffee, free refills.
We stopped here for a quick lunch and we weren't disappointed! The staff was quick to seat us and the food arrived quickly. Delicious!
Best coffee I had in Beverly Hills during a recent trip. Lovely and kind staff, too. The hot sauce they gave me in a squirt bottle with my huevos rancheros nearly made me combust, but was delicious.
I dined in with my husband. I ordered eggs with bacon and hash brown with toast. And my husband ordered a hamburger with fries. Both were delicious, this is a cute brunch spot. Thank you for the meal.
Original proposed historical plaque text: A café run by Mrs. Lily Cooper operated out of the drive-in market that once occupied this site from 1928 to 1936. In 1937, the café relocated to the corner tenant space on the same site, at 9600 Brighton Way. The coffee shop, named Brighton Coffee Shop in 1968, had been visited by generations of Beverly Hills residents and Hollywood stars.
Breakfast in Beverly Hills is always amazing. My favorite item on the menu is the lemon ricotta pancakes. Oh my goodness, what a delicious treat. These pancakes are made from scratch, and served with warm butter, fruit, with warm maple syrup. Talia is the best, and she gave me hot water with lemon. Everything was so yummy, I eat the food before I could get the pictures.
I had a great experience at this cafe! The service was top-notch, and their menu offers a satisfying variety, from delicious kimchi rice to tasty burritos. Plus, they have lots of outdoor seating for those who prefer to dine al fresco. However, if you're in the mood for pastries or something sweet, options are a bit limited.
Amazing coffee and great price for the area. Very refreshing that you can order one coffee or 20 coffees and they’re gonna be nice to you no matter what. There’s a table with plenty of extra stuff for your drinks. We had caramel iced coffees and my husband that is a caramel expert said it was his favorite caramel iced coffee ever. Gorgeous location. Will visit again.
Great location; just behind Rodeo Drive. Good service. Good food 🥘. Reasonable prices. Good portions. The Korean beef 🥩 was my choice. My wife ordered the chicken sandwich 🥪. It’s delicious as well. Please see menu below for choices and prices.
It doesn’t look like a coffee shop that would serve Korean entrees, but to our pleasant surprise they had a variety of options! I went with the Beef Bulgogi ($14.99) but they also had an option for spicy pork. Thin iced of beef marinated in soy-ginger sauce, Korean style, grilled with mushroom and onion, served with teriyaki sauce, cabbage salad, sesame seed, and white rice. I loved the white rice & savory beef, and it hit the spot perfectly. For Rodeo Drive, this was an extremely delicious & reasonable offering. They have both indoor & outdoor seating, and the indoor area is really cute, with soft blues, white marble, large windows, & gold accents. The staff was very friendly, helpful, efficient, and attentive. Strong recommend if you’re in the area and need a bite to eat!
Fabulous. Tiny little tucked-away diner slash coffee shop in the heart of Beverly Hills. Best kept secret for the Beverly Hills locals since 1930. Plenty of updated healthy items and even vegetarian options. Super great value for dollar. The food is delicious fresh and fast. The best deal you can get within a block of Rodeo Drive, without spending a fortune. The Belgian chocolate shop across the street has chocolates more expensive than an entire entree here. LOL. Lisa Vanderpump restaurant is 15 feet away across the street on the other corner. Come here two people watch you won't be disappointed Don't miss it
Looking for a Good, Nice and CHEAP spot on Beverly hills? Don't look any further At the Brighton Coffee Shop you will find all of that!! It doesn't matter if you like American, Asian or Mexican food. There's something different for everyone. Try the pancakes, or the omelettes they're all amazing!!! Not feeling like having breakfast Ok, then try the hamburgers, sandwiches or even better, get any of the Korean dishes!!! Get a cappuccino or a macchiato Order a organic tea and get a chocolate muffin. The options are overwhelming!!!
It’s an easy, comfortable place near Rodeo drive! Their Dalgona coffee is a must try. We had the chicken teriyaki lunch and was pretty good!
Great little corner coffee and lunch shop. We ordered several drinks and they were delicious. I will definitely come back here when I m in Beverly Hills!
Came here for breakfast while in Beverly hills. Ordered the breakfast scramble for $13, it was pretty good.

Even though this spot is small it is very busy. Their customer service is very good and they are quick to get your order out. I did not have any of the food on the menu but I did have their frappuccino. Their frappuccino is just as good as Starbucks and I would recommend their frappuccino if anybody ask.
I have been eating here off and on sense I first worked in the area around 2007. Though I haven’t work in the area since 2010, I try to make it a habit to come by whenever I can, breakfast or lunch… In fact I don’t even think they are open for dinner. These guys really know how to cook their bacon... thick and crispy!!! There is usually two-hour-free parking lots in the area, so parking is fairly easy and walking distance. The only reason I didn’t give it five stars is due to their high prices, but hey... it’s Beverly Hills.
Great place for breakfast or lunch (no dinner served) in central Beverly Hills. Very reasonably priced for that area and that quality. My favorites for breakfast are the breakfast burrito and the huevos rancheros. For lunch I had a really good meatloaf sandwich. Simple understated coffee shop decor. Friendly and efficient staff.
We came across this cafe by chance and what a lovely little place it was, with outdoor seating. Great food, great service and great atmosphere.
The food was well worth the price, considering the location of the store. The service was fast and the coffee was tastefully brewed. Would definitely come back here for brunch.
Very authentic Korean dishes. Spicy pork bulgogi is mild spice and not too sweet, the side salad, and the option for Brown or White rice was a pleasant surprise.
Beautiful cafe in a beautiful neighborhood Tried the iced decaf latte and a Danish. Very tasty!

Staff was a little rude, we were five minutes early but they made us stand outside saying they were not ready yet to open even though the door was unlocked. Then upon ordering, Waitress said we could order anything on the menu but then told us the fries were not ready. Food ok. Typical. Nothing impressive even though prices over inflated for Beverly Hills
As mid as mid could be but gets the job done in a mid neighborhood like Bev hills.
As much as we wanted to like the place the food tasted far too generic for the Beverly Hills location. The coffee was great but I'd probably skip the food as it was overpriced for what it was. The servers were very kind and accommodating. Just wish it tasted a little better!
Serviceable with very good service. Chose breakfast as it is hard to fail. But will say that the meal was only fine. The potatoes lack seasoning, the poached eggs were quite hard, and the fried eggs were good. Turkey sausage links were tasty but quite cold. The tea service needs a lesson in how tea works. The decaf was pronounced “fine” by my partner. The blueberry scone is t particularly interesting…. The site itself is truly good though and the view of the lovely building across the street is a bit of BH history in a delicious way.
This was the second time we visited the Brighton Coffee Shop in Beverly Hills. The first time we mainly stopped by for coffee and pastries. It was a busy Saturday morning and we were pretty lucky to come by a seat outside to enjoy the sunshine. The pastries were great and seemed very fresh but the coffee almost tasted burnt if I had to describe it. The place smelled great with coffee aroma so we were a bit surprised that the coffee didn't taste as good as it smelled. We mentioned the coffee tasted burnt and the server dropped off more creamers. We didn't need anymore creamers and had barely taken a sip of the coffee. We ate the pastries that were good and left. The second time we thought we'd give the place another chance as we wanted to try some of the food. We ordered an omelette and a burger. The knives and forks looked a bit on the dirty side so we requested new sets from the server who quickly replaced them. Both our meals tasted delicious and overall if we didn't have to wait so long for our food I would have rated this place a bit higher a score. The good part is the nice atmosphere and even sitting inside was fine with us as the outside seats fill up fast even in cooler weather. After we finished lunch we felt like a coffee so we ordered two lattes and they tasted great but were not piping hot. The temperature I'd say was warm. They were extremely busy so possibly they sat on the counter a bit too long before being delivered to our table. We were in a hurry to get home and gulped our warm coffee's and left. We probably would come back at a later date based on the omelettes alone. For some reason our coffee experience was not quite there. Also, the pastries are very fresh!

I was looking forward to visiting this place but left so disappointed. The male blonde taking my order was so stand-offish and unfriendly. The coffee was basic. I overheard several orders that had mistakes. I don’t think I’ll be coming back again.
We came for breakfast. Our server came with menus and took our drink order. I ordered the scramble with ham and asked for coleslaw instead of toast and potatoes. They allowed it. Wife had bacon and eggs. The portions were very generous and the flavor is good. Prices are reasonable for the neighborhood. There are new owners and they are Korean. There are a number of Korean dishes on the menu.
I had to run a medical errand in BH today and saw my favorite sandwich shop was open. I used to have lunch here at least once a month. I haven't been here in probably 2 years and I think there are new owners, maybe not, I didn't ask. I always have the egg salad salad sandwich which I thought was the best in LA. I took my first bite and it tasted of garlic. It's 3 hours since I ate it and I can't get that taste out of my mouth and I do feel a bit sick to my stomach.
Rude employees actually. Noticed they only were nice to those they thought would tip. Walked in after work get food to go. Man behind counter kept helping other customers letting them cut ahead saying he would get to me soon. I had been standing waiting for 10 minutes before anyone else came in so i walked out. Came back another day to get food. Again felt neglected. No one approached me or even asked if i needed anything when i asked about the menu what they recomend the girl in the cafe said to eat somewhere else. Lol dont eat here unless u want midiocre food and service. Well unless u look like a good tipper... the manager is rude.
Strait out health hazard!!!! I when to Brighton caffe shop Monday afternoon and bought the lunch special which consisted of half sandwich and half soup and it also came with a side of fruit. I order it to go because I had to be back to work right away. I hate the sandwich and the soup but when I open the container to eat the fruit i realize that the fruit looked weird and slimy and it smelled old and moldy, one of the piece of orange had green fungus growing already. I felt so angry and discussed and wanted to take the fruit back and complain and asked for my money back but because I was working I couldn’t leave work to go back again. This restaurant and is in Beverly Hills for God’s sake, in front of Bella Blanca I would imagine them been so much more careful in handling their food and taking the adequate precautions to serve clean and safe food but I guess I was very wrong! Buttons line is that this cafe should be inspected by the food health department because what happened to me is a health hazard and should not be repeated again!
This place used to be nice 7 years ago. The breakfast was a joke . And they don’t have wifi … are we in Beverly Hills ? Seriously? Even underdeveloped countries have internet in their restaurants now. I understand why the place was empty
Do not order from this restaurant. They are not interested in your business and having Ozzy; the most unprofessional manager in all of existence helming the ship is your first clue. I never eat here but my client and his office does and they all will not be after today. Their food is bland and lackluster to begin with but they're usually quick so my client ordered something today from here. After almost an hour I called to see where the order was and was informed by Ozzy it would be there in 2 minutes. 15 minutes later I called back and asked again where the order was and at this point Ozzy became very defensive, loud and starts blaming me that the order never got placed. At this point my boss was hungry so I asked if we can place a separate order and I'll come pick it up. He cuts me off starts informing me in a nasty tone of voice how they don't have the order but he's checking to see if it's there. I again say "excuse me, I'm the customer and I'm trying to place an order again." At this point he's yelling at me something about caller ID although I'm calling from a different line than the order was placed on and I'm not in the mood to argue for the sake of it. I walk over to the restaurant to report his behavior to the manager only to find out he is the manager. I then explain in person yet again all he needed to do to correct it if they didn't place the order is to take a new one, it's quite simple but he's chosen to be impolite and unprofessional. I informed him I would be reviewing the restaurant. He then smirked at me and told me to go ahead and not to bother coming back as they do not need to serve "people like me" (I'm not going to even get into what that meant) and there are plenty of other restaurants in the area to eat at. The only thing we can agree on since they're all better, in my opinion. I would strongly suggest management take a look into who they have representing their restaurant. This was truly unprofessional, unnecessary and resulted in the loss of multiple customers. Other places I'd suggest you frequent instead: Panini on Little Santa Monica Judy's on Bedford Cafe dele Art on Bedford Mickey Fine's Grill on Roxbury No restaurant is perfect all the time but the complete and utter lack of manners and customer service makes me wonder what else is going on in this establishment. Shame on you, Ozzy. Update: Following this conversation where Ozzy encouraged me to write a review and eat elsewhere he sent an email to my client that states the following. "09/06/2017 today one your employees called to complain about an order she never placed. the order does not exist because she called somewhere else. she comes in and threats me about writing a review on yelp about how terrible my is business. she has the time to write reviews and to threat people, but she has no time to complete a task efficiently. brighton coffee shop management" #1) I am my own boss and I am self-employed. Nice try. #2) Covering up your mistake for not placing an order and then lying about when it will be arriving is unacceptable. #3) "Threatening" to write a review due to intolerable behavior on behalf of an establishment is my right as a consumer when I cannot get a resolution by phone or in person. #4) If I continue to get harassing behavior from this employee I will be taking legal action.
Blatantly racist treatment here. My family (we're Chinese) went up to the counter and the staff ignored us completely while the other guests were served cordially upon seating. When we tried to order drinks we received rude and curtly replies. It really soiled or experience as tourists in Los Angeles.
The young male person should not be in hospitality. He was attending to other customers for 10 minutes before serving me & at no time even acknowledged I was waiting. I asked for a latte with 1 sugar & took a seat. He brought the coffee ($5.20) in a takeaway cup & when I asked if he added the sugar he pointed & said “its over there” Shortly after he sat at a table near me & put his feet up on the chair opposite
Came here to get a coffee and take a picture in their outside seating area. My friend had my camera out ready to take the pictures when one of the employees came out and said no cameras. I went in to talk to the manager and explained “I just bought a coffee here. I can’t take photos outside?” and she just shook her head no without actually verbally responding. I took the coffee to go after that - and the coffee was not good lol.
Absolutely no customer service skills. I only got a quick bite because I haven't eaten all day and I had to take my vitamins. Not once did they ask if I needed help. How are they staying in business with these horrible reviews. Smh.. Lastly they are selling Costco muffins and pastries for triple the price.
el peor servicio al cliente que he recibido. The worst customer service I have ever received. it's a shame the service is this bad as the food is really tasty. I ordered a salad, quite good. I was served by 3 different waiters. The first waiter barely speaks English and he was the one who took the best care of us. When they brought everything to the table, we noticed that the orange juice was not natural, despite the fact that when we asked we were told that it was natural. for my salad I asked for balsamic vinegar and they brought me an empty bottle... Then a very pretty young waitress came and I asked her to bring me more balsamic vinegar.. she never brought it, I asked the other waiter and he only replied "I'll ask" I literally saw him through the window, he came in and didn't even ask, he started cleaning a table.
I went into order breakfast, I sat down and asked for an Americano and a danish. The waiter came back and threw the danish on the table in a paper bag and never came back to take my breakfast order, he walked by several times and ignored me. . He never brought the bill, I had to go inside to pay. Service was not only bad but rude.
I am a regular customer, all the time. BUT the owner have the worst attitude, all time no good attitude with customers, her servers workers are great, but she does not have a customer attitude, I will never go there again neither my freind which I referred them to her. I believe she should never manage a restaurant, restaurant is all about customer service, I feel sorry for thr emoyees they work for her
Well, you can disregard all previous four star reviews. Apparently, this coffee shop is under new ownership. Not only did they kill the look, ambiance, and history of this place, they're incredibly rude. It now looks like a sterile, cookie cutter uninteresting diner. With bland colors, the awning gone and an almost unreadable sign, what was once a BH staple and hang out, is now an obvious uninspired "coffee shop" that is soon to meet its demise. Not historic or attractive enough for a Beverly Hills crowd, and definitely not cool enough for even a young crowd to give a try. It's funny how new business owners never take into consideration the history or a building or the people that frequent it. READ THE ROOM!!!!
DO NOT trust the online prices, they are about $6 lower than the real price just to get you in the restaurant. I asked them about the online prices, and they said they don’t update them, so that sounds like this is purposeful malpractice.
We saw the 3.7 star review but decided to give it a try anyway because we just want to take a break from walking around. There are indoor and outdoor seating options, which are great. The 1 star is solely for the coffee. The iced latte is way too sweet that you can’t even taste the flavor of the coffee. And the mocha is so bad that I don’t even know how you can make it taste that horrible. This place is a good spot to take a breather from walking around, but I don’t recommend ordering coffee.
