I’ve been thinking of dinning here for a while and it was worth the wait!!!! Definitely one of my favorite places in LA. I loved the cosy and charming atmosphere, delicious food and amazing staff.
We celebrated my wife’s birthday here. The restaurant makes the best Moroccan dishes in LA County in my opinion. The food was excellent and service was fast. We’re definitely coming back for more. This is a must visit when you craving moroccan food.
We tried the signature tasting (5 courses $97) and it was amazing. The restaurant is very very small (8 tables total!!!) one server was working the entire restaurant. All the dishes were excellent and to perfection, i was very full at the end. I got the rose (glass) and it was a bit underwhelming, maybe next time I'll research the wines before I choose it. Great place for small groups, casual dinners or special occasion celebrations.
Experienced the best Moroccan food in LA at this cozy and welcoming spot! Chef Ben’s hospitality made it even better. Highly recommend! The pastilla was very tasty, as were the hummus and Moroccan salad! A great selection of fine French wines too 😊
Absolutely delicious, fantastic!! Every dish was spectacular. I would definitely return and recommend!! My husband had the tasting menu. I had the pescaterian tasting, amazing!!!
This place is by far the best restaurant in the area and I won't be exaggerating saying it's the best in LA. My family is Moroccan, so I know Moroccan food by heart. This place is authentic and keeps high standards for flavors and quality. The food is just so amazing it reminded me of my grandmother who passed away 20 years ago. I almost went to the kitchen to check if she is there. The vegetarian options are amazing and I'm craving them all the time! The house mezze platter is so good and rich. It's so called simple food but the flavors are so sophisticated and perfect. The baklava is great and the tea is nothing You've ever tasted. Just so amazing. The staff are so welcoming and warm, service is amazing, and we just come back over and over again as it is a gem, an absolute delight.
I am Moroccan and I loved everything we had! Lovely cosy restaurant with great service and amazing waiter Ossama who took extremely good care of us all! Had a mix of several starters and everyone was happy! We will be back
Wow! What an amazing experience I had a Tagine tonight. I really felt like I was in Morraco. The ambiance, decor and the lovely service from the Manager Mia. Mia was so warm and welcoming! The Lamb Chops are to die for, AMAZING! The roasted cauliflower, the split pea soup and desserts were all Amazing🙂😋🙂😋
What a great little spot for dinner. We tried this out for dine LA and it did not disappoint. Mia is the best ever and so is the other gentlemen who helped with serving. Dark atmosphere but cozy and comfortable. Food was delicious.
Excellent fusion Moroccan food in LA, the food was superb, the tagine was fantastic and the Bastia was exceptional. Ima our server was very nice but the other server was simply awful as she was banging plates on the table like you would do in a hole in a wall restaurant!!! Also the lights need to be turned up more so that you can see the menu and also the food 👍👍👍😊
Super delicious food. All the flavors were perfect. Very friendly service. Awesome ambiance. Great for friends, family, or a hot date. I got the vegetarian tagine and it was delicious. My friends got the lamb and loved it. Also really good playlist in the background. Will be back soon.
Highly recommend restaurant!!! The food is amazing, very tasty and also remind me my marocan grandma❤️ do your self a favor and visit here if u r in LA 💥
The place is small and comfortable. The food is AMAZING and the service as well. We got an assortment of appetizers for the table that were really good and then I ordered the couscous with braised beef. I wish I could have kept eating but the dish was big. I totally recommend eating here.
First time there, and I loved every dish we had. The staff is super nice, the place is cozy, and the food is exquisite!! Chapeau bas! I will be back.
The food was outstanding! The service was attentive and the atmosphere was an entire vibe! Will definitely see us again!
Loved our meal here, this place is a hidden gem! We celebraded our anniversary and the atmosphere, service and food were all excellent! Highly recomend!
What a wonderful experience! Mia is the best. The food was amazing, and absolutely the best hummus I have ever had. I will stop in again in my next trip to LA!
Amazing place. Looking for different tastes muat stop
Amazing Moroccan Restaurant, the best in Los Angeles. Chef Ben takes care of you like you are family.
I like the food there, especially the homemade ice cream:)
What can I say!!!! Dinner was amazing, a true culinary experience more than that Dino was spectacular from the moment I stepped in he greeted me with a smile and helped me chose the food. For some reason I trusted him with the wine selection and asked him to serve me whatever he thought would combine well with my food. The wine was delicious. Thank you Tagine team and a special big up to Dino the "jewel" of the restaurant I will be back
Excellent food. Very cozy setting with good lighting and ambience. Hummus, chicken bastilla, lamb tagine and (especially) lamb chops were delicious and memorable. Our waiter, Sean, was very friendly and we really enjoyed his friendly nature
I have dined at Tagine since it first opened in 2004. Was fortunate to visit again last Saturday. The food was simply phenomenal! Everything on the tasting menu was fresh and perfectly spiced. Delicious. Mia, our server, was exactly what an excellent server should be. Attentive without hovering. The ambiance is relaxed and inviting. Ideal for that romantic dinner or a get-together with family and friends. Chef Ben's unique take on the Moroccan food of his homeland is in a word AMAZING! ( Tagine is located on N. Robertson, Beverly Hills)
I came here for my birthday dinner and it was a great meal / atmosphere. The service was really good and the food delicious. We did the meat and fish tasting dinners. Can’t remember exactly what they were called, but it was multiple courses with appetizers and desserts and everything hit the spot. I highly recommend!
Delicious, authentic Moroccan food in an intimate setting. Everything we ate was delicious. Friendly and accommodating service. Can’t wait to go back.
Just ate here last night and it was amazing. The food was outstanding. Service was great, atmosphere was intimate and relaxing. It was a chilly evening in their garden patio, so I had the mint tea and it was the best mine tea I've ever had. Planning for when I can go back again. Thank you for an amazing evening!
Came for dinner by myself on a Thursday. I ordered the roasted cauliflower appetizer. It was very good. I let the waiter pick my entree as long as it was vegetarian. I was given the vegan Berber couscous. This entree was really delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant for excellent food and outstanding service.
if you want to travel and eat incredibly well this is the place to go. We know oriental cuisine very well and I felt like I was in Morocco for a moment. everything is fresh and made with taste and flavor. and the service is just amazing for one evening we were like kings. I want to add that I'm not from los angeles but in 3 weeks it's the first time we've eaten so well I recommend and we will be back!
Dinner was incredible! We had a wonderful experience and a delicious meal. I wanted to explore my Moroccan roots and we went for my birthday dinner. They had great seating outside and due to COVID they followed all protocols. The owner treated us so well, went over and beyond. He is an extremely interesting person with such a background. We had the Chef tastings and one dish was better than the other!!! The flavors were incredible and so colorful. We left wanting more!!! Highly recommend!
This is a charming little place, where the food was delicious and service was excellent. The decor was classy, and seats were very comfortable (loved the large cushions on the booth seats!). My son was reminded of "Ratatouille" when our server opened the lid of our tagine dish! Lol! We really appreciated Chef Ben stopping by at our table to give us our appetizers and explaining what was in them. All the food was delicious, but we really enjoyed the mezze platter, the mint tea and the desserts at the end! Special occasion restaurant for us, as it was on the pricey side. Would recommend making reservations, as it's a small restaurant.
One of the best dinner I ever had in LA! We came in for a business dinner, the ambiance is cozy and quiet, nice for more intimate discussions. The service was excellent, and everyone was amazed by the food. We had a selection of shared appetizers and tagines. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
This hide-away has become our go-to restaurant for stellar Moroccan cuisine (Thank you Chef Ben!) With an intimate, warm and romantic atmosphere, plus hosting at its best (Thank you Dino!), the attentive service and a family feeling of sincere welcome comes from the heart. Add to that the overall vibe of this little gem and you have our idea of a perfect dining experience! Looking forward to our next visit! 👍♥️
By far, the best Moroccan food I’ve ever had in LA/Beverly Hills! I cannot believe how good I feel after eating here. Everything is top notch: amazing food, drinks, great atmosphere, celebrity clients (FYI: Ryan Gosling owns this place!), amazing music & amazing service! - This location is perfect for bringing a date or for a birthday celebration. No wonder, this place is rated 5 stars! Def one of the best hidden gems in LA. I’ll def be coming back for more this month! Tagine - thanks again for an amazing night out in Beverly Hills! See you soon!
Amazingly great food and great service! The lamb meat was so tender and delicious...Literally the best that I ever had. It’s a quiet, peaceful comfortable atmosphere with nice calming music. I am Moroccan and know great Moroccan and Tagine is simply the best!
Such a wonderful dinner and amazing experience. Dino gave us exceptional service. We had the chefs fixed menu and vegan fixed menu and it was amazing. They are opening a beautiful outdoor dining as well in addition to inside and the the front outdoor.
We had such an Amazing experience! After finding Tagine on our scroll to find Mediterranean food, I’m glad our search brought us there! The food was absolutely scrumptious, the tea was great and the staff was simply the best!! Tagine is definitely on our go to list and we can’t wait to return. Highly recommend!! Thank you for a great experience chef, Sam and the entire team!
Each time I’ve been here I love the wine, special dishes and ambiance. I always seem to get to know the server, and we always leave feeling wonderful. Only good for a date or small group as it is tiny, and that is what makes it charming. Amazing chef.
We enjoyed a memorable evening at Tagine thanks to the hospitality of the staff and chef. The ambiance was beautiful, our servers were friendly and attentive, and the chef prepared a wonderful spread of excellent dishes. Each dish was flavorful and the variety of textures and tastes made it a rich eating experience. We were celebrating the birthday of a friend and I was so thankful to the staff and chef for making it a special evening.
First time to Tangine. So happy we tried this wonderful restaurant. We loved the food, service and the vibe. Can’t wait to come back and tell all my friends.
Some of the best food we have ever had and we have ridiculously annoyingly high standards. Like to the point where I judge myself for how I am never satisfied. Thank you so much for this incredible dinner.
Really intimate, cozy, and relaxed vibe serving up Moroccan dishes! The atmosphere is dimly lit and the service is pretty good. The food is on the sweeter side with warm spices such as cinnamon that make a prominent statement. I came here on a date to check out what they had for Dine LA (which has just ended). For appetizers, we got the Bastilla Chicken and Shrimp Mosaic Salad. The Bastilla Chicken was grounded up and wrapped in a thin phyllo-like dough with a dusting of warm spices. The Shrimp Mosaic Salad was bright and sweet with diced nuts and other small veggies to give it more texture. The shrimp was cooked perfectly and overall topped with a sweet dressing. Between the two, I liked the Shrimp Mosaic Salad better since it was more filling and had more dimensions of flavor. For the entrees, we got the Honey Lamb Tagine and the Fish of the Day Tagine, which happened to be seabass. The Honey Lamb was sweet as expected over a nice amount of couscous. A bit too sweet for my liking of an entree, especially after the sweet appetizers, but still good. The Fish of the Day Tagine was definitely the star. Well cooked and very tasty. It was smaller portion wise, but I preferred it more. I also had their Moroccan Sangria. It was on the dryer side and not as sweet with some mint elements. Since it was on the bitter side, it actually paired well with the Honey Lamb Tagine. However, as a standalone drink I probably wouldn't get it by itself. Lastly, for dessert we got the Chocolat Soup and Sorbet Mixed Berries. The Chocolat Soup had a nice thick ganache-mousse with a warm chocolate sauce. Very chocolately! The Sorbet was mint and fresh. I like the brightness of this dessert in contrast with the Chocolat Soup, but both were winners! Overall, I enjoyed the experience at Tagine. Definitely good if you like food on the sweeter side too.
It's a cozy small Morrocan restaurant, you have to book before going. The food was amazing.
My husband and I had the 9-course tasting menu to celebrate our 20th anniversary. The service was excellent and very friendly. Most of the food was delicious, especially the lamb. The scallops were the only disappointing dish. We will return to try individual entrees, but the tasting menu is not the best value for us. Thank you for a very pleasant time.
Wow! The host/waitress/comedian was amazing and served the entire restaurant when we went there. The tea and appetizers were great and flavorful. Loved my entree too Perfect date night out. Decor was cool too. Our wait for the food was just a tad long but sooooo worth the wait!
Tagine is a modern Moroccan LA cuisine/ restaurant. We are lamb chop snobs- their lamb chops are one of a kind and arguably the best we've had in LA/ potentially US. Their sides, desserts and drinks were also delightful. Although, there are some complaints about their portions I thought they were just right/ perfect so that you can try multiple items. Other meats were ok but the lamb brings it home. The staff were very nice and helpful as they gave us awesome recommendations. We also went during Ramadan and they offered us dates to break our fast, very thoughtful! Such a beautiful quaint/ great location!
I really wanted to like this place. I love Moroccan food and was excited to try this place since I read many positive reviews on Google and Yelp. Perhaps it was an off night. Servers were very nice and patio in the back had its charm; however, the food was not to my taste. I tried the chicken bastilla which was a bit dry and did not taste fresh. The lemon chicken tagine was ok but was not what think of when I think of tagine, the chicken tasted like it was cooked separately from the sauce and then sauce added right before serving. Lastly, the baklava was very dry and rather tasteless. I’m afraid I won’t be back.
The food was very good and service was sub par as we got our appetizers well before we got our bottle of wine (the place was empty). We sat outside in the "hidden garden" which was pretty gross. We arrived on a Friday at 7PM and had to walk through puddles because they had just hosed the place down. The seat cushions were dirty and in the middle of the "hidden garden" there is a fountain with standing water and things floating. Not what I would expect from a restaurant charging what they are.
Don’t be fooled by all the photos and good reviews! I came here with my partner for his birthday dinner thinking I’d be happy given the reviews, but apparently the reviews on Grubhub are more in line with my experience. To say I was extremely underwhelmed for the exorbitant price I paid is putting it lightly. This is the most unimaginative, uninspired, bland, and barely cooked right ‘version’ of Moroccan cuisine I’ve ever had. I just got back from a trip to England and the Moroccan food I had there was leaps and bounds beyond this. They obviously needed some help with marketing to stick Ryan Gosling’s name in there as a co-owner. We ordered the $55 three course meal, and the portions were extremely stingy and completely lacked any flavour. The tagine fish I had was slightly over cooked and the Johora dessert was all whipped cream. Again, no flavour, lacked creativity, and was definitely a forgettable experience. I walked out paying $150 and it was the worst value I’ve ever had! There were barely any occupied tables in sight, and now I know why!
I will say the service was excellent. But if you’re looking for Moroccan food, don’t come here. You cannot have a “Moroccan” restaurant and serve mashed potatoes and chicken breast and call it chicken tagine because you serve it on tagine pot. The rest of the food is fine and perfectly edible but I’m sorry that’s just unforgivable.
Unfortunately, my visit to this restaurant was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had. First, the service was awful—the staff was unfriendly, unhelpful, and seemed annoyed by the presence of customers. I had to wait a long time for a waiter to take my order, and when they finally did, their attitude was rude and unprofessional. As for the food, it was a complete disaster! The dishes were served cold as if they had been sitting out for hours, and the taste was far from fresh. The meat was dry and tough, the vegetables didn’t seem properly washed, and even the drinks weren’t cold. To make matters worse, I ended up with a stomachache after eating, which makes me question the hygiene and quality of their food. Honestly, I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. A truly disappointing experience, and I will never be coming back!
