Met up with friends for dinner at this spot & it was an excellent dining experience overall. A nice little bar & a great outdoor seating option. We ordered family style and got the Peking duck wraps(solid flavor, crispy and the sauce was delicious), Mongolian beef(cooked perfectly and solid flavor), Salt pepper Pork chop(great taste but not as seasoned as I’d like it to be but still good), Salt pepper shrimp(excellent dish overall), Kung Pao chicken(solid offering) & the Poach cod(cooked perfectly and somewhat healthy compared to the other dishes). For dessert and my friends birthday they gave us tiramisu along with a chocolate cake. The chocolate cake was delicious but too rich and heavy for me. The tiramisu was on point and my favorite. Definitely the best tiramisu I’ve tasted. We sat outside and enjoyed our meal with excellent “people watching” opportunities. Great customer service and I definitely will come back. I recommend this spot.
Food is great and reasonably priced for Beverly Hills. Be aware the portion size of main courses is massive.

Absolutely and positively delicious ! Thank you to the amazing team - great service !
One of my all-time favorite Chinese restaurants — hands down. Tao has been consistently excellent in service, and everything I’ve tried has been amazing. Some of my go-to favorites: the Singapore vermicelli with pork (add a side of hoisin sauce — trust me), egg drop soup, spring rolls, orange chicken, and of course, the Peking duck 🤤. Honestly, you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. The flavors are always spot on, portions are generous, and the quality is top-notch. Highly recommend!
Yesterday for lunch Excellent food. Sizzling Cod & Soft shell crab . Beyond delicious. Tony, our server was very professional and friendly. Potstickers and Spring rolls to start. We were there when they first opened 27 years ago so it was good to be back after moving out of the area in 2001. Loved it!
Had a private birthday party for my son's 60th last night at Xian and it was fabulous. The food was delicious, the service staff could not have been more accommodating and professional, and every one of the 14 guests there had a wonderful time, The planning was made very easy, thanks to Vicki and Cece, and the staff adjusted serving the various dishes accordingly. The hands down favorites were garlic green beans, crackerjack shrimp and the lemon chicken (my favorite). Didn't have it last night because we had a yummy birthday cake, but If you're a chocolate lover, their chocolate flourless dessert is the best.
The food is delicious, and the staff is incredibly friendly. We absolutely love it!

The owner is an absolutely delightful human being. She reminds me of what restaurants ‘used to be’. Incredibly friendly and personable, her staff were great and the food just as good as the dining experience. Wait time for a table and food were very reasonable. Food tasted delicious, everyone (including kids) enjoyed. We ordered more as we were eating! Just wish we lived closer so we’d be able to dine here more regularly.
We went there with a large group and the food was very good. This is American-Chinese food. Not authentic, but good. Drinks are also relatively good and the few we tasted were yummy. Service was a bit slow, utensils were not as clean as we would have liked l. We had to keep asking for knives, chopsticks,….. There is no valet parking and the street parking can be difficult. Fortunately there is a city parking structure on cannon that is a very short walk to the restaurant. We found the prices to be a bit high. Will go there for a special occasions only.
Attention Delivery drivers only. I've never abused the use of this restaurant. Apparently a lot of others have. Who knew? Not me. I wish they explained why drivers are not allowed to use the bathroom, so they dont have to guess, maybe even a sign. I dont know, some signs out back that say no loitering. Might be hard to enforce though. It's an unfortunate situation, especially when you really need to use the bathroom. As a person who gives financial or other support to a person, organization, cause, or activity, I definitely count as a "patron" of Xi'an so this situation sucks. Massive thumbs down to the drivers who ruin it for everyone else. Boooooooo. Thank you Xi'an for explaining.

If you are looking for authentic Chinese and especially Xi’An food, avoid this place since they are just a high end Panda Express or PF Chang tailored to Americans. The fact that I was the only Chinese in the restaurant and also they do not have chopsticks on the table tell a lot. We ordered typical Americanized “Chinese” food like the walnut shrimp, beef broccoli, Mongolian beef, hot and sour soup, Singaporean curry rice noodle and surf and turf fried rice. Everything is ok but nothing stands out. The service is ambiance on the other hand is amazing largely due to the Beverly Hills location.
I am Chinese, and this xi'an restaurant does not offer authentic Xi'an food. Instead, it offers Huaiyang cuisine and a little Sichuan cuisine. I asked the waiter, why don't you offer Xi'an specialty dishes? The waiter's answer was: It's just that this restaurant is called Xi'an Restaurant. So, if you want to eat Chinese food, you can go there. If you want to eat authentic Xi'an specialty dishes, they are not here.
Ok to eat if you need to have Chinese food when in Beverly Hills. Not excellent but not bad. I think staffs are quite lovely and helpful unlike the usual Chinese kind of restaurants.
If you have no knowledge of Chinese food beyond orange chicken or Mongolian beef, this is a perfectly enjoyable restaurant. But if you realize that you're only getting uninspired and inauthentic "Chinese cuisine" at half portion and double price (which, you probably should have realized the moment you wandered into Beverly Hills), Xi'an could really wreck your wallet and your dining experience.
Once I tried Mongolian beef in this restaurants , it was pretty good , but today I ordered delivery by Uber , and I disappointed a lot ..with this food . Beef was too wet and sweet , like there a strawberry jam instead a soy sauce.. they even not serve a napkin ,chopsticks .. so I must eat for 37$ rice with my fingers 🍿 Lucky I found chopstick at home … So 3 star .. bad
Okay Chinese food, not the best around. Good for a quick bite, a bit pricey compare to other Chinese food.

Ordered delivery and they said one hour, one hour and a half later we got the food. The food was ok but it definitely was not better than even average. We ordered the cashew chicken and the crispy noodles. Save yourself some time and lots of money and go somewhere else.
Unfortunately one of the worst (and most expensive) Chinese food experiences I've ever had. All the food was really under spiced, plain and not what one expects from Chinese cuisine. I might be able to overlook if it wasn't so expensive. You're better off finding a Panda Express.
I have ordered from here before, the food is usually alright. I have returned due to location/convenience, not quality or value. This time I tried the pad Thai and got a lump of flavorless noodles and undercooked veggies. Why is this even on your menu? $20 for oily rice noodles and a few nearly raw carrots, it was just horrible! I don't understand how restaurants can survive offering such terrible food.

I normally go with clients from Beverly Hills to Xian. I like the food, it's OK. The reason for my 1 star review is because I realized I had dropped my ear buds. I called and the person who answered said he would ask, a minute later came back saying they were not there. I told him my app was telling me they were there and his reply was "and they might be but we are too busy, you can come and look for them". Mind you, the restaurant is tiny, I knew where I had sat so it was a matter of giving a quick look. I live two hours away and don't go often. I missed the window where they would still ping,
We visited and ordered the cashew chicken. Did not taste very good. Service was a bit slow also. While the atmosphere was good, would not recommend.
It was our first time dine at this place and that was the worse customer service Ive encountered. The waiter took our order, but then he was on hurry to finish taking our orders, he grabbed the menus, did not even repeat the orders and ofcourse he missed some of our orders. When we asked if where is the rest of the order he ask me back, did you order that? Just terrible! Did not even ask if we need any drinks. Instead he said okay thats it, and start grabbing the menu like we dont belong to that place and we cant afford to pay!
