Absolutely fantastic! Our group of four visited on what seemed to be a bustling Saturday night. With homecoming and birthday celebrations happening all around, the staff at 5th was exceptionally impressive in handling it all! Perhaps our food order was placed before the arrival of those larger groups, but we enjoyed remarkable dishes, including some of the best salmon we've ever had (no unpleasant fishy taste or dry salmon here). A big shout-out to 5th Tavern for delivering outstanding food and seamless service. We will definitely return. The dishes pictured include the Thai chicken salad, chipotle BBQ burger, and cedar plank Scottish salmon.
We celebrated my cousin’s birthday at 5th Tavern and had an amazing time! The atmosphere was on point, the food was delicious, and the service was top-tier. Our server was attentive and made sure everything came out hot and fresh. Thank you, 5th Tavern, for helping make my cousin’s birthday celebration truly special! 🎉🍽️✨
Our server, Alexis, was great! Very knowledgeable about the menu. Great smile and service. The food was excellent. Very fresh and delicious!
On December the 12th I went to 5th tavern for my birthday celebration food was amazing service was great atmosphere was pleasant will definitely go back for dinner
This is a great spot with some really clean and tasty menu choices. Went for a small dinner with my wife and a company executive and was impressed by the ease of ordering, bourbon options, and the oh, so flavourful, french onion soup! Thank you all for a wonderful night.
We visited 5th Tavern Bloomfield at the recommendation of our business partner, and it did not disappoint! From the moment we walked in, the ambience was welcoming and had a great vibe—perfect for a night out. We started with the coconut shrimp and steak quesadillas, and both were absolutely delicious. The coconut shrimp had the perfect crispy coating with just the right amount of sweetness, and the steak quesadillas were loaded with flavor. For our entrées: 🔥 Steak Al Forno – This was a standout! The Asiago cheese and butter crust took the steak to another level. Every bite was rich, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. 🍗 Chicken Alfredo – My wife ordered this, and it was just as amazing. Creamy, well-seasoned, and packed with flavor. Overall, the food was top-notch, the service was great, and the atmosphere made for a fantastic experience. We’ll definitely be back! Highly recommend if you’re in the area. 📍 If you haven’t been to 5th Tavern yet, put it on your list!
The food was absolutely FABULOUS! Very flavorful and the service was fast and courteous. I HIGHLY recommend this restaurant as they have something for all tastebuds. The drink selection is awesome too 🍸🍷
My spouse and I came here for a quick snack and a brew last week. We were pleasantly surprised that they have a $10 lunch menu (when you buy 2 drinks). We ordered the BBQ pulled pork nachos and shared it: it was definitely more than enough for two and it was delicious. We sat on the very pleasant patio but next time will do indoor seating. Very nice vibe and upscale yet casual feel. Recommend!
delicious food! The menu is extremely extensive, something for everyone. I highly recommend the cherry salmon, best salmon I've ever had! The parking lot is huge as well as the place. The service wasn't the best, he didn't pick up our appetizer plates or main dish plates even though like an hour passed.
Walking in, you see dark wood and brass. It reminds you that you're in a tavern. Came here for brunch on a Sunday. MAKE RESERVATIONS. You won't be sorry. Brunch started to pick up around 11:30AM. It got busier and more packed. All staff I encountered were super nice and friendly. The buffet was good, and you can order off their menu if you don't want the buffet. From salad, fruit, pasta, ribs, omelet station, crepe station, waffle station, prime rib, dessert, and so much more. Go see Louise. He was our server.
Dining at 5th Tavern Bloomfield was an unforgettable experience! The star of the evening was my salmon dish, and it was nothing short of perfection. The salmon was cooked to absolute perfection—so smooth and tender it felt like it was melting in my mouth with every bite. The rich BBQ glaze added a smoky sweetness that paired beautifully with the natural flavor of the fish, making it a dish I won’t stop dreaming about anytime soon. The mashed potatoes were creamy, buttery, and seasoned just right, offering a comforting contrast to the bold flavors of the salmon. The asparagus was another standout—perfectly cooked with a slight crunch, adding a fresh, vibrant touch to the plate. From presentation to taste, every element of this dish was spot on. It's clear that the chefs take pride in their craft, and it showed in every bite. If you’re looking for a place to enjoy top-notch food in a warm and welcoming setting, 5th Tavern Bloomfield is a must-visit. This meal was a perfect balance of flavors and textures, and I can’t wait to return for more! Highly recommended!
First time here. Loved the ambience and was very clean. Had chicken stir fry as I always ask for the rice in side so doesn't get drenched. Got extra side of rice since took some leftovers home because they give you a lot of the stir fry. It was an additional 4.00 which was fine since you having another meal. The chicken fingers tasty. Chicken Avocado panini was really good. Turkey club a big portion was perfect too. Clam chowder was really flavorful. Chicken fettuccine Alfredo was good but next time would ask for less sauce. It was bit drenched. Hamburger was really good. Fries crispy as we requested however okay felt oil in fryer needed to be changed. Had a little of a great aftertaste. Salad was fresh balsamic dressing really good. Would definitely go again. If you go ask for Antonio he was a sweet, friendly, and an attentive server. Got our refills and anything else we needed. He made our visit even better.
This place is pretty good. I didn't deduct stars because of certain things. We met because I was in town so my family got together. I've been to this restaurant several times and we also have ordered to go. I had the rattlesnake pasta. Someone had the fajitas and the burrito because on Tuesdays they offer drink specials if you order from the taco menu. You also get your own chips & salsa. The waitress was really nice. The food is affordable. On Tuesday the margaritas were $4 and modelo beer is on special. We sat outside and the weather was beautiful. If you get the pasta make sure you ask for the bread because they said they only do it to order now 🤔 and Make sure you get extra sauce. We got to the restaurant about 5pm and it was plenty of seats on but around 6pm it was extremely busy. I don't think they have reservations so if you plan on going go a little earlier to get a table.
A great spot for dinner. Incredible menu selection. Delicious and excellent service.
This place does great food at a reasonable rate. I don't get the impression that they specialize in something specific, however it does seem that they make quality food out of the best ingredients that they can get. Each time we have visited, it it's been very busy but service has been excellent. Their quality in food and service wouldn't happen without a well-trained staff. It's my opinion that they may have the edge over places like Kruse And Muer, to be fair Kruse And Muer maybe targeting a more upscale clientele with a more specialized menu. 5th Tavern is currently our favorite place to visit with their diverse menu and great service.
Great service and delicious food. Nice drink specials.
We were here for a work trip and we took the whole team here not only did we get seated promptly. We had our drinks and we were able to order very quickly because we were all hungry after a long day of being at the expo. The steak was amazing which most people got. I also got the bowl of chili which I can tell you to 100% get. I will definitely go here again and take people here great atmosphere great people great service.
Hosted my daughter's baby shower for 50 and opted for the buffet brunch. The food and service were amazing. The team was so accommodating and friendly. Wonderful experience will book again. Thank you Anthony and team.
The quesadillia was greasy but every other meal our party ordered was delicious and perfect and the service was amazing. We had two difficult people in our party and the waitress handled them perfectly and kindly.
We just had an event here this weekend. It was absolutely fantastic. Great food, great staff, and great atmosphere. Management was wonderful to work with in the planning process and went above and beyond. We will definitely be back.
Waiter worked really hard to make our dinner amazing. Great food, the restaurant was gracious enough to let us enjoy homemade birthday cake after our dinner.
Had my mother's birthday dinner there and it was nice. The service was awesome... the stuff salmon was the bomb. Too spicy for my niece so we switched dinners... the seafood pasta was a little bland for my taste.
My friends and I had lunch here on a typical, busy Sunday. The brunch selection was out of this world in scope, freshness, selection of fresh vegetable dishes, seafood, and meat with an omelette station. As much as I wanted that, I had an excellent salad and my husband a sandwich from the menu. Both were fantastic but I really had my eye on my friend's wings from the buffet. Next time. Get there early if you mind waiting.
Was a fantastic experience. Marlene took great care of us. Ordered the prime rib and bone in rib eye. Both were cooked brilliantly and delicious. Live music set the tone for a relaxing and enjoyable experience The ruby melon was not great. Not our taste
We enjoyed the comfortable atmosphere & seating. The service is amazing here, never rushed, and extremely attentive , our server was busy with another large party, and another server came over boxed up our food and attended to our needs. Always exceptional ..it's our third visit . The food was just as amazing, the Calamari appetizer is delish! The. We had chicken pesto flat bread & Chicken BBQ flatbread both equally tasty! The lobster grilled cheese served with tomato soup was best ever! I had the Cuban and although great tasting , it was lacking the ham, of it did have any it wasn't enough to be tasted. I wish I would have went with the Salmon patty burger. That's what I'll get next time, and yes we will definitely be returning! Thank you for a nice visit on this black Friday
Where should I start????? The service ? The food? The experience????? ALLL OF IT WAS INCREDIBLE THE BREAD WAS LITERAL HEAVEN 😮💨😮💨😮💨😮💨😮💨😮💨the only thing im mad about is that i dont find this place sooner lord!!!! I love everything about this place we ordered so much food for three people and it was literally under $80. This is the best place to eat at specially with the way the economy is with prices. This is the best place to eat. Get a lot of food and pay very fair prices.
5th Tavern Bloomfield Came here for an event. Nice lighting. Nice staff. Busy parking space. Bar. A welcome atmosphere. Maybe work on some bright cocktails. Not much on their drink menu. Could be improved for improved sales. I had the Porterhouse with mushrooms and potato. My wife had the full Baby Back Ribs and chili. All items were good. No issues except for my Porterhouse which was a little salty when dunked in the zip sauce. Maybe next time, I will not use the zip sauce. Missing the "au jus". Ribs were excellent and soft, almost fall off the bone. No wait. Fast service. Semi-casual. Highly recommended
Steak was a bit flabby, maybe because of the cut of steak it was. Other than that, the food was okay. We ordered a few things and pretty much ate everything except for all of the steak plate. Would return to try their other menu items ✨️
Food was good but the service was better. Had the tomato basil soup and the Cubano with house made chips. No pickle on the sandwich which threw me off and the tiny ones left on the plate were definitely not enough, but the chips were spot on. The soup was a little grainy but very flavorful. All in all it's a pretty good place for lunch and a beer.
We visited on an early Saturday afternoon around 3:00. The bar area was crowded and noisy so therefore. We chose the dining area. I understand why most people were in the bar area, the drinks were on point. The premium margarita and the something gods I’ll give 5 thumbs up + 10👍🏽. My guest and I sat for 15 Minutes or longer and was contemplating if we were going to stay before someone happened to walk over and asked if we’ve been waited on.(the reason for 4 stars) The server was very nice and the portion size of my quesadillas were enough for two or three people and the bread was hot and delicious 😋. Yes, I’ll be going back; their prices are very reasonable.
My 5th Tavern experience started rocky. We had a reservation for five and the hostess sat us at the least ideal spot in the house. It was right in the walkway of servers and patrons, coming and going. After ten minutes of waiting, a gentleman comes by and offers water until our main server acknowledged us. When our waitress arrives, she brings back lemonades, sits them on the table, and walks away without even a simple greeting. At that point, we requested another server who quickly accommodated a new table for us. As the evening progressed, our new waiter turned things around for us with his politeness and hospitality. Overall, I liked the décor and vibe of the restaurant. However, the food was decent. I ordered a chicken Alfredo dish. I'll give it four stars just because the manager was understanding and our second waiter had a positive attitude. But, honestly speaking, this place wasn't anything special. I'm glad I tried it, but I won't be returning.
The wait time was good and the waiters all worked together to bring out the food in a timely manner they made it a great experience
My husband and I went here with my grandma and her friend for dinner.🍴☺️ It was mine and my husbands first time there and we WILL be back!!!👍🏻😁👍🏻 The food was awesome.. I give only 4 starts though because it was really loud so it was difficult to have a conversation and the lack of service our waitress never came to check on us after giving us our food then we ended up sitting there just waiting for her to bring our check. But otherwise it was grate and I'd recommend it, just maybe on a weekday!!
I go for the tomato 🍅 bisque 😋asparagus pesto soup 🍲 and bread 🍞 with my dinner 🍽 😋 you know you have the right service 😉 when you're soup 🍲 pesto is in the number 5 I even get a soup carryout get the pesto on the sid they sometimes forget... bummer when that happens enjoy 😘 My grandson(15) LOVES soup & and tricolor pasta/ barbecued salmon Blessings 😇 🙌🏾 🙏🏽
Decent. Busy pub style restaurant with a full bar and good service. Very busy when we went in but still got good service. The food I ordered was tasty and prepared well so this place gets high marks for service, quality and choices. I thought the atmosphere was a little too noisy and the decor was more corporate than personal but overall impression was good. I think that my favorite thing was my meal - a delicious salad!
I ordered the Plank Scottish Salmon I don't rate this... no flavor, the side of green beans, mash and zucchini very good. Manager very kind Waitress nice, but never removed dirty dishes. The manager came to remove them. Overall good experience, if l return l will get lamb or steak.
Overall the experience was really nice. We were seated quickly for them being very busy on a Saturday afternoon. Our waitress was attentive and did a wonderful job. As for the food. Nothing is amazing there. It’s good though and exactly what you expect from the menu. My friend and I shared boneless wings. They were fried well. And we both ordered the Signature Zip Burger. It was cooked well, loved the homemade chips, and the zip sauce was nice.
This is a buffet style restaurant that offers brunch, lunch, and dinner. The prices are reasonable, and they have a cash bar. You can have a birthday party or meeting with your group here. It's kid friendly, and they have bottom less mimosas. The salmon was delish, and the grilled chicken was ok.
Ahi tuna salad. Tuna was sesame encrusted cooked perfectly but lacking flavor. Kale needed to be messaged to soften. Vinegarette dressing was bland. Service was friendly but over extended. Two or three large parties on a Friday night. Currently under renovations in the room where we were seated.
It doesn’t feel like they want you here, we order the coconut shrimp with terrible sauce , Artichoke dip that had not crab in it, Calamari with no calamari and felt like we where eating fried skin instead of the squid. French onion soup was good and so was the Tortalini. The waitress was very welcoming.
Food was fine but every draft beer i got had something floating in it. I was assured it was normal when two of us at the table were brought beers with floaters right on top of the beer. They might rotate the beer often, just not sure how clean the lines are. If i come back… bottles only.
I had brunch here with two male friends, upon seating we were only given one menu for the three of us. When we asked the server for more brunch menus, she gave us attitude. Throughout our meal she never once acknowledged me just the two gentlemen I was with. She didn’t say anything to me until one of the guys directed her attention to me. The food was decent but I didn’t appreciate how I was treated
Not a decent place for Bloomfield standard. More like a dinner a Coney Island style food and service. Fish nah Dessert not made in the restaurant Not returning for sure and won’t recommend May be a good place for group of friends who wants to drink and eat but not for date or family dinner.
About a month ago I ordered a Ribeye "mr" for carry out. I got home to I think was a skirt steak. They tried to make it right by giving me a credit. Tonight I ordered rattlesnake shrimp with extra shrimp. I got home to rattlesnake chicken with maybe half of half of chicken breast. The flavor has no heat that the rattlesnake pasta is called for.
I'm stopping ordering from here due to their partnership with door dash. They stopped using Uber eats and force us to use door dash and don't set it up well enough. The manager setup doordash to force you to modify the parmesian encrusted walleye with pecans as blackened or broiled... No parmesian no pecans... Use your own website before shutting down Uber eats.
Advertising New York steak and it’s nowhere near New York State Falls advertising Manager in the redhead didn’t even bother making up for it or even offering a discount. Horrible service from the manager, but the waitress was wonderful. Thank God to that. Gonna feed my dog I wanna be New York steak
I got the Zip Burger and it was undercooked and cold and then I found that there was a piece of parchment paper between the cheese and the burger. I will not be eating at or ordering from this restaurant again.
Management was mismanaged because the server sections were too large, so he was running around the whole restaurant he took our order I guess he forgot so came to take the order again so we remember him that got it alright by this time it had been 50 minutes but got workers seating wrapping up silverware and restaurant is in total chaos. The food and drink 👎👎 it's a no go for me!!
We had reservations at five pm Sunday for six people and were seated promptly at that time. Shortly after ordering and receiving drinks, the lights in the restaurant were turned down to the point where three of the people at our table could not read their menus. We brought the lighting issue up to our waitress, and asked if the restaurant had any candles or little lights for the table, or if the lights could be turned back up. She said they didn’t have any other lights, and she would talk to her manager about turning up the lights. When our waitress came back to serve us and we asked again if anything was going to be done about the lighting situation, she sent her manager over. The manager came by and said what is the problem here, and he seemed quite aggravated and argumentative. He said they turn the lights down at dinner time, and he claimed he had turned them up even though that wasn’t apparent at all. He rudely walked away impatiently, not wanting to address us or the issue. Our waitress, was excellent throughout this whole incident. She tried to accommodate us and move us to another table with better lighting to allay our concerns. She had a bus boy pull two tables together in a nearby better lit area of the restaurant and we were going to sit there, But, while this was happening, the manager came over and said that he didn’t want to give up two tables for four with only six customers, and basically pulled the rug out from under his wait staff – who was doing her best to fix a problem. He was quite abrupt, rude, and argumentative when asked why we couldn’t sit where our waitress had suggested, and walked away from us again. Given the choice of sitting in the dark while eating, or leaving, we promptly paid the bill for the drinks ( leaving a nice tip for the waitress because she had done everything she could to accommodate us) and we left. We went down the road to Andiamo’s and had a wonderful meal, and were able to read our menus, see our food, and the service was excellent.
I went on January 1st and to my displeasure I ordered filet mignon and unfortunately the cut of steak they served me was not filet mignon. The steak was incredibly dry and stringy and I ordered it medium well I’m very familiar with the texture and taste of filet mignon and this wasn’t that. The service is great. I tipped my waitress well…The mashed potatoes were mediocre and definitely the crab and spinach dip was watery and overall flavorless. I was incredibly disappointed with the steak and nothing feels good about going to a restaurant paying for a particular cut of meat and receive something that is other than I will not be returning……
