Opinions de Las Guitarras Mexican Restaurant Boerne
Beautiful atmosphere, wonderful service, and the food was beyond amazing!! I loved the entire experience! Perfect for a date night. Such a lovely ambiance! They had a musician placing a keyboard and flute. It was beautiful. I had the raspberry Chipotle chicken, a must try!
I say this without exaggeration and with utmost sincerity; if I had to pick one last meal before I died, it would be Las Guitarras Sunday buffet. Hands down The Best Meal I've had all year, all decade, and honestly this may the full stomach talking but maybe even all my life. Truly amazing, 10/10 recommend, I Will be coming back. My full thanks to everyone there! P.S. The bookshelves on the back wall are drop dead gorgeous. 😍
Daniel was our server and when I tell you he went above and beyond, it’s no lie. Our drinks came out quick and he didn’t let our waters get low. The food was exceptional and there is plenty of variety. Daniel made recommendations and when I asks about the mole, he brought me a sample to try. I’m sure this is not the norm, but I did mention I was picky about mole. We also met the owner who stopped by to check in and make sure every thing was good: food, service and atmosphere. Definitely will be back !
I always thought that I made the best pancakes in the world. I have been on a quest to find the best pancakes in Boerne, and in my mind, they have to be as good as or better than my own. Las Guitarras Has definitely taken the lead in the town of Boerne and creating the best pancakes, even better than my own. Rachel waited on me and she was very efficient. She also took the opportunity to talk with me, as I was the only customer in the restaurant at the time. It was a cold day in Boerne, and I suspect no one wanted to go out early for breakfast. They serve breakfast from 9 to 11, and have an amazing looking lunch and dinner menu, as well The restaurant is House in an old house built in 1870, and the character of the house is wonderful! There is stone on the inside and outside, a beautiful fireplace, built in bookshelves, and a wooden floor. The parking lot is a bit strange, as it’s not actually defined and there are only five spaces total, and unfortunately, I don’t see a wheelchair getting from the parking lot through the front door into a table without some serious intervention. Overall, this place is great! I met one of the guys from the back of the house, and he chatted with me for a bit, and everyone was smiley and friendly the entire time.
Came for a lunch date during the week with hubby. Lots of open seating. Quick and friendly service, cool historic building / ambiance. Complimentary chips and salsa and small cup of Fideo were excellent. That soup cured something I didn’t know needed to be cured in me, lol. Will be ordering some to go next time I’m sick. The entrees were great, we both got different enchilada plates. Mine was super unique and flavorful, I can’t remember the name but it was filled with ground beef, fruits and nuts and topped with mole sauce & pomegranate seeds. Subbed the refried beans for charro and they were bomb. Rice was so good too. Probably the best Mexican food I’ve had, I just wish the entree portions were a tad bigger. I finished my plate and wished I had some leftovers. Can’t wait to come back and try their margs after dry January !!!
I truly enjoyed my visit here. Excellent food and really nice atmosphere. Very well designed in what appears to be an old building. I wish there was a history of the building on the menu but that's possibly just me. All of our dishes were plated very well fit presentation and they have a very good salsa served with chips that kept coming.
This was the best food we’ve had!! Everyone is so nice, I am gluten free and they worked along side the cooks to ensure I was able to eat everything and it was absolutely amazing. We had dinner and it was so good that we came back the next day to get breakfast. The owner would stop at our table and talk to us every time too :) The restaurant is so personable. Must stop spot! - your new amigos from Early, TX
Las Guitarras is one of the best restaurants I have eaten at in a long time. The service was outstanding as well as the food. The owner came by a couple of times to make sure everything was great, he also gave us complimentary appetizers. The server took the time to explain the menu throughly. If you haven’t tried this place, you definitely should, you will not be disappointed.
The atmosphere was awsome, there is a gentleman playing all kind of different music. The food was the best around; but is a not questions ask to comeback the service makes you feel welcome. Daniel gave us an exellent service 100% customer service oriented. To bad the evening was to short we would stayed all night long.
Food- my wife and each ordered something different and the shared to widen our palette as much as possible for our first visit. Turns out that was a great choice! A variety of enchiladas and tacos... all different, all very flavorful, all well prepared with visually enjoyable presentations. We topped it off with the butter cake for dessert! Oh my! Service - from our initial welcome to the thank yous at the end, the service was efficient, friendly, thoughtful, calm, and pleasant. Food came out quicker than we expected. Waiter, Daniel, was helpful, attentive, and came at appropriate intervals to check on us. The owner stopped by to say hello, check on our meal enjoyment, and did that with about every customer within my eye sight. Atmosphere - the guitar player really makes it special... very easy to listen to... a mix of Hispanic and popular tunes, nothing too loud, played at a nice pace... it just brought together the decor of the room, the wonderful service, and very flavorful food! Thank you for a nice evening!
As many times I’ve driven down Main St in Boerne, I have never once thought to eat here until today. I was shocked how good the food is but pricier than your average Mexican spot. Came on a Sunday around 2pm and they were empty. - fideo soup as an appetizer and came with our plates…I’ve never had a free appetizer with a Mexican plate. - mini street tacos $21 you can tell they used good quality meat and who ever was in the kitchen. the meat wasn’t overcooked and you can tell by the red tender and flavorful. - crispy taco enchilada puffy combo $20 the puffy taco was the star and so good.
We’ve visited here several times for great tasting food. The Seafood fajitas, Enchiladas and Fideo is excellent. Great food and great customer service. This is at least a 45 minute or more drive for us but it is worth it. Would highly recommend this establishment and will definitely return here again.
Very beautiful atmosphere. Feels authentic and cozy. Beautiful decor. Waiter Ricardo was very professional yet forgot my straw after my refill. No biggie tho. Food was excellent. Beautiful presentation. I had the seafood fajitas. Delicious. Only downfall was that probably more than half the main entrée was bell peppers and onions. The baked fish was good and scallops were small. Shrimp was delicious. I will definitely go back when back in town.
If I could give 10 stars, I would. From the moment we walked in it was welcoming, thorough service by all the staff. Shout out to Jazz our server. The food was absolutely fantastic. A unique and wide range of menu items will satisfy your Tex-mex, interior Mexican and seafood cravings! Of the three entrees we ordered we could not find anything that could be improved. Fernando the owner chatted with us to be sure we loved the food and he performed an amazing guitar performance for us. I’ll be back many times over!
We went to Las Guitarras restaurant for the first time and we had the Buffett. Every single item was delicious! Everything was made with such quality and care. The servicer was also very attentive to us. It is apparent there is high level quality, love, and care into everything they do. We will definitely be back to this hidden gem. Highly recommend it to everyone.
What a beautiful restaurant with delicious food, and such friendly staff! I am from south Texas surrounded by hundreds of Mexican food restaurants, and none of them have compared to the fresh quality of food we had here! And I mean it, the food was made with love & so fresh! Also, the margaritas are absolutely delicious, best we have ever had. The owner is a very kind man who made us feel right at home. We will be back every time we are in town!
The food was delicious. Service was really great. Parking good luck not much parking at this restaurant. If you can find a place to park, it's worth a trip inside to eat.

The man that seated us was not very welcoming or friendly. Our waiter and rest of staff were pleasant. The soup was very light and enjoyable! The queso fundido was a large blob of cheese in a bath of oil. I at least expected it to be a tad creamier. My husband had the chicken raspberry chipotle, not your traditional Mexican restaurant offering but he enjoyed it. I particularly enjoyed the massive rustic fireplace wall. It is beautiful!
I generally appreciate this establishment; however, it tends to be rather expensive, and the food often takes a considerable amount of time to be served. The service is adequate, and the atmosphere is pleasant. It would be beneficial if the restaurant could improve the promptness of food delivery to enhance the dining experience, ensuring that dishes are served hot rather than lukewarm. Additionally, I recommend increasing the portion sizes of the salsa, as patrons, especially those with larger groups such as families of four or five, frequently need to request additional servings.
