La ragazza che ci ha servito e i suoi colleghi sono stati di una gentilezza e simpatia che non vedevo da tanto tempo. Il cibo che ho ordinato e diviso con la mia amica ci è piaciuto molto e ci siamo alzate da tavola più che sazie. Quindi mi sento di consigliare: crescentine con salumi e formaggio, ravioli ripieni con mortadella e ricotta, cappelletti in brodo, tenerina con mascarpone. Il locale è piacevolmente alla mano. Spero di tornarci presto :)

If you plan to go to this restaurant, you MUST try the lasagne! It might not look appealing at first because the pasta is green, but it tastes like heaven!!! You can't even taste the spinach, all you taste is joy. So please try the lasagne! Next, tortellini. Heaven Heaven and even more Heaven! It is filled with rich but simple flavours, with a light and flavourful broth. This dish is a must try! Our party of four enjoyed a meal consisting of three pasta dishes, one hunter's rabbit (though, regrettably, I did not capture images of every dish), desserts, and coffee. The pasta was freshly made in person, and the waitstaff were proficient in English. The Carbonara was exceptionally creamy and cheesy, with the guanciale expertly fried to a delightful crispness on the exterior and a tender chewiness within. I found the abundance of cream to beģ pleasing, and the panna cotta was both creamy and light; the jam was not too sweet and not sour—it was perfect.

Best pasta!! Super nice and traditional as recommended by our local tour guide. Also the parmigiano antipasti was super with red wine! However, make sure you sit at the right restaurant, the one next door has almost the same outside table decoration but waiters much less friendly and feels more like a tourist trap

Hands down, the BEST ragu we tried in Balogna. Filet for $24, bargain and incredible as well. Complaints would be that the house Cabernet is quite tight and the Cottoletta alla Bolognese was extremely salty. I’d avoid. Otherwise, perfecto!.

Great restaurant conveniently located in the Old Square. Their tagliatelle ragu/bolognese dish was great, but we enjoyed the gramigna pasta in cream sauce even more. The veal and mashed potatoes were hearty, and the pasta portions were great for each person. Would highly recommend the vasetto di mascarpone con scaglie for dessert - extremely good and one of our new favourites. Great service, nice ambience in the restaurant, and had no issues using the 20% off discount through The Fork.

Absolutely loved our lunch here! Our stay in Bologna was brief, but was enough to give an understanding of their passion in preparation of pasta - particularly tortillini, almost like they treat this like fine jewelry. Salsamenteria was no exception. We had the fried meatballs for appetizers. We followed with a tagliatelle with Bolognese Ragu, tagliatelle with parma ham, and a tortillini in fat double capon broth from the main courses. Every one of these were lip smacking delicious, with a visual appeal to match. Would love to return for a second visit if that chance comes!

I really enjoyed our dinner here. I had the friggone pasta and it really exceeded my expectations. I'm sure I'll be at home trying to recreate this dish for a while. The server was very nice and offered great recommendations for both food, wine, and digestifs. I also liked the design element of having a skylight window into the wine cellar.

We visited this restaurant three times during our holiday. Fantastic on all three occasions. They always have gluten free pasta options and they taste great. The staff were super friendly and could speak English. Nice wine selection. One not to miss. Gets busy so worth booking (can do this online if your Italian is not up to it)

just one of the best culinary experience we had during our 4 days trip. Bolognese cooking style we discovered is very mild taste, wasn't expecting that. No real contrast. At least at this place we tasted some dishes with real flavour, correctly seasoned and with some punch! Don't miss the balanzoni which are the Bolognese local somptuous delicacy. It is an incredible place to eat! The ambience was lovely and relaxing with pink floyd playing in the background. The waitresses were really kind and helpful. The wine that was suggested was really smooth and wonderful and lastly the pastas, were the best i have eaten. Freshly made tortellinis in beautiful sauce. I absolutely loved the dining experience here. 100% recommended a visit for people traveling to Bologna!

1000/1000 hand made pasta to die for. Lasagna and tortilla were absolutely delicious. So disappointed we didn’t stay in Bologna for longer as the food was amazing.

Ambiente casereccio e rustico, con poster vintage e dettagli simpatici riconducibili alla squadra del bologna. Il personale è stato molto gentile e cordiale. Abbiamo mangiato in 4 e abbiamo preso 3 primi e un secondo: - le tagliatelle erano un po' troppo al dente per i miei gusti, però il ragù era ottimo; - le lasagne al ragù erano abbondanti, davvero buone; - tortellini con crema di parmigiano erano fatti davvero bene, cotti bene e la crema di parmigiano delicata; - cotoletta alla bolognese (divisa in 4), era la prima volta che la assaggiavo e l'ho trovata pesante. Non so se sarei riuscito a finirla una intera. Del resto è stata una piacevole esperienza, consigliato.

Cena sabato sera: abbiamo provato il friggione, per noi buonissimo, uno dei migliori provati. Le lasagne sono state anche molto apprezzate, porzione grande e ben fatte. Io da vegetariana ho potuto prendere solo i tortelli di zucca, che purtroppo erano un po’ secchi o indietro di cottura e molto dolci, il ripieno sembrava fatto di sola zucca senza sapori che la bilanciassero. Mi è piaciuta tantissimo la torta tenerina, davvero ottima. Aumenterei la scelta per vegetariani e vegani e la cottura della pasta ripiena, per il resto abbiamo apprezzato molto il locale. Il personale inoltre è stato molto gentile e simpatico.

Il ristorante è ubicato nel pieno centro di Bologna, offre pochi coperti (quindi è altamente consigliata la prenotazione) sia all’interno con il locale climatizzato, che all’esterno con qualche tavolino sulla strada. Il personale è tutto giovane, celere e decisamente molto gentile. La Salsamenteria offre tipici prodotti bolognesi espressi con una ottima qualità di materie prime: crescentine, tortellini e tortelloni, l’originale cotoletta alla bolognese con l’osso e devo dire che era tutto decisamente squisito. Buona anche la carta dei vini, con una selezione ampia e del territorio. I prezzi sono in linea con altri ristoranti del centro, forse un filo più economico.

Buon antipasto, buona lasagna, ma pasta troppo saporita/salata… ok, noi non saliamo più l’acqua di cottura da tanti anni, ma forse basta mettere meno sale per una pasta con un ragù così saporito!

I took a punt n came here for dinner after reading some positive reviews. Saw Veal Scallopini on the menu as well as grilled veges, exactly what I was looking for after having had pasta for lunch. The scallopini was cooked perfectly n came with baked potatoes. My mixed grilled veges were equally good making this a very satisfying dinner. The House Red by the glass unfortunately was sub par but then again I might have been better off going for a white. I strongly recommend this restaurant. It exceeded expectations.

The tiramisu was not good. The creme anglaise/ custard was runny and too sweet. The chocolate torte with custard was disappointing too. Abbiamo trovato questo posto su the fork con delle ottime recensioni e abbiamo deciso di provarlo. Il rapporto qualità-prezzo credo sia un pochino sbilanciato perché rispetto ad altri posti i prezzi sono in linea (altini, come è normale che sia al centro di una città) ma la qualità del cibo forse non è alta come altrove. Abbiamo preso un tortino di zucchine su fonduta di parmigiano che era veramente la fine del mondo. Ottimo il tagliere con le crescentine. Come primi abbiamo preso la famosa lasagna verde che era buona, si, ma non eccezionale. Abbiamo preso anche una pasta con burro e prosciutto che non era un granché. Come dolci abbiamo preso la torta tenerina con crema al mascarpone (ottima!) e un tiramisù troppo “uovoso”. Abbiamo pagato oltre 60€. Il locale è centralissimo e veramente carino nella sua ambientazione. Il personale cordiale e premuroso. Non abbiamo mangiato male, ma non so se ci tornerei.

Ambiente carino, anche se molti tavoli sono a volte un po' "costretti" per le dimensioni del locale che si estende su due piani. Ci sono piaciuti molto i balanzoni (se non erro ripieni di mortadella) e la tenerina, mentre la cotoletta era ok ma nulla di particolare. Nel complesso abbiamo mangiato abbastanza bene, ma il prezzo è decisamente più alto rispetto a locali di simile qualità: per 2 primi, 1 secondo, 1 dolce, 2 calici di vino della casa (5 € l'uno), e 2 caffè (2 € l'uno) abbiamo speso 75 €. È il classico caso di un ristorante buono ma non eccellente, che però all'uscita ti dà quella sensazione di aver pagato più della qualità che hai mangiato. Nel complesso però non male!

Ristorante carino, cibo non male, ottimi i formaggi ed il tortino. Primi nella norma, niente da primato. Unico problema (che è diffusissimo a Bologna) sono i prezzi da turisti: Due antipasti+Due primi+1 Dolce+1L rosso della casa+1acqua+1Caffè e sforiamo gli 85€! 🤯con questi prezzi, si trova moooooolto di meglio.

This place was recommended to us by a local. Unfortunately we were rather underwhelmed with the food. We ordered the meatballs and they tasted really strange- like some mixture of processed food. The zucchini appetizer with Parmesan sauce also didn’t taste good. And they wasted the balsamic vinegar by putting it on the edge of the plate. The main course- tagliatelle ragu and the tortelloni were ok, but really nothing special. The staff were nice, but rather lost and overwhelmed. All in all not our best experience, as sorry as I am to write it.

Probably one of the worst lasagna's I've ever eaten. It was luke warm and so gelatinous that I could barely eat it. The only saving grace of this meal was the wine which was half decent. My partner had the tortellini which was equally bad as the ricotta was greasy and the filling was bland with no flavour. Save your money and go elsewhere - you'd probably have a better meal at McDonald's!

The worst lasagna I’ve ever had in my life. I knew the minute I had to add salt and pepper. Tourist trap I would say. If you see this, don’t eat here. The waiting time was also very long. My friend ordered the tagliatelle al ragu…..(not pictured)very bland……and tasteless. Avoid or don’t order any of these meals. Read other low reviews as well.
