Arrivati all'apertura senza prenotazione, ci hanno sistemato subito dicendoci fino a che ora potevamo stare, per evitare malintesi. Si vede che è un posto molto ben organizzato. La cotoletta era sensazionale, i passatelli molto buoni ed anche i dolci facevano la loro figura. Tutto il personale molto gentile e disponibile

Sono stato in questo locale nel cuore di Bologna e ne sono rimasto davvero entusiasta. L’atmosfera è accogliente, curata nei dettagli, e si percepisce fin da subito una grande attenzione verso il cliente. Il cibo è eccellente, la qualità si nota in ogni piatto e il servizio è impeccabile. Un ringraziamento speciale va a Vincenzo, Simone e Roberto, che con la loro gentilezza, disponibilità e simpatia hanno reso la mia esperienza ancora più piacevole. Consiglio vivamente questo locale a chiunque voglia vivere un’esperienza completa: ottimo cibo, ambiente bellissimo e un personale veramente straordinario. Tornerò sicuramente!

We had a fantastic dinner at Da Nello. The food was incredible, the tortelloni, the gramigna, the cotoletta and the beef salad were all delightful. The young waiters were also very kind but we got the nastiest server in the beginning, this old man who gave us attitude when asking for suggestions and was extremely rude. Thank God the food made up for the bad service in the beginning.

Totally recommended! We tried 5-6 different restaurants in Bologna and this was the best by far. The staff was very helpful and they spend time helping with our order. The food was amazing. We were two people and we shared 4 main courses because we wanted to try as much as possible! Thank you guys! PS: don't forget to book a table, this place is always full. PS2: get the green lasagna with ragu and the tortellini ragu as well. Both amazing!

Absolutely recommended! I can only speak highly of the place. My fiancée and I voted da Nello as the best restaurant in the world. We first saw the restaurant in a video by a well-known Hungarian vlogger, and we made a detour to Bologna specifically for da Nello at the beginning of our Tuscan vacation. It was absolutely worth it! The tagliatelle al ragu was divine, the cheesecake was heavenly, as was all their other dishes. The staff is extremely kind and friendly. At the end, we even managed to get together with them for a picture and received a small ceramic bottle of limoncello as a gift. Thank you to the entire staff of da Nello! BEST LASAGNA I HAVE EVER HAD!!! This place is a real gem in the center of Bolo, and everybody should eat here at least once in a lifetime. The staff was super friendly and attentive, gave the best recommendations (they have different fresh products everyday, yesterday it was porcini: yummy!!). The food is just insane. Our train arrived late so we had to cancel our original reservations at another restaurant. One hotel recommended Rjagorante Da Nello and OMG! The food were amazing! I never had interest in mortadella until now! The tagliatelle bolognese was just perfect, I loved the texture of the meat and the perfect balance of sauce to pasta. The veal cutlet with truffle sauce was to die for!! This was the best first dinner in Bologna I could ask for!

When we were raving to the waiter about how amazing this place was, he immediately asked if we wanted to see how the food was prepared. He got us up and took us down to the kitchen, where everyone greeted us cheerfully. Later, we wanted to take a photo with the owner, who happily posed with us and, laughing, joked that we must be from Hungary. The price was a bit higher because we also had a bottle of wine and one of the dishes was for two people. If you're ever in Bologna, this place is an absolute must! The food is simply fantastic, and the staff is incredibly kind and helpful!

Amazing cotoletta alla bolognese. The sauce was perfectly umami and left you wanting more with each taste. Inside the cutlet was a layer of salty thin meat, some sort of ham, which gave each bite a lovely rush to your tastebuds. The creamy sauce was sublime, the cutlet was cooked perfectly, and the meat inside was delicate yet still presented you with that satisfying meaty taste and mouthfeel that you expect. An amazing dish! My partner had the lasagna, and we also had desserts, which she absolutely loved. Will come back again if I'm in Bologna!!!

Went to Ristorante da Nello al Montegrappa for our first lunch in Bologna, and really enjoyed the food. I was cautious at first, because I wasn’t sure if this would be a tourist trap given its close proximity to the city center. Fortunately, this wasn’t an issue! The meal itself was really good, especially their tortellini with ragu. There was also plenty of outdoor seating with shade covering, which was great considering it was very hot in Bologna. Usually I would recommend eating far away from the city center, but this restaurant is a great option for lunch if you’re visiting the city!

Definitely one of the best meals I have had in Italy! They serve quality food. The staff is warm and very polite. I do not feel discriminated against although I am a foreigner eating alone. They even offered me a free snack at the end. Moreover, I was able to order half portion of two different pasta without any problem. Usually this option is only available for at least two pax. I ordered tortellini in soup and gramigna. Both are excellent. There is a sweet lady, perhaps the owner of the restaurant, who greeted me both upon entry and when I was leaving. It is on the pricier end but not unaffordable. Money well spent :)

The best restaurant in Bologna! The food is amazing (HUGE portions!), the service is fantastic (very friendly and fun), and the restaurant itself is adorable (large and very clean). We’ve been to this restaurant several times during our week-long stay in Bologna and have never had the same thing twice. The menu is huge, filled with everything could possibly want, and it changes seasonally. The portions are large and the prices are very reasonable. A meal for two with appetizers, salad, pasta/meat, wine with each course, and a dessert is around 100€…but you don’t have to spend/eat that much! We’ve had: •Zucchini flowers/blossoms (amazingly light and perfectly crisp) •mixed salad •fried mushrooms (seasonal on the summer - they’re huge) •tortellini (tiny, meat filled pasta) with Parmesan cream sauce and ragu = rich and delicious •tortelloni (large ricotta-filled pasta) with creamy tomato sauce) = so good! •lasagna verdi alla bolognese = green noodle lasagna layered with bolognese and béchamel •fresh mushroom salad with shaved truffles • spaghetti vongole (fresh and delicious!) •fiordipanna dessert Everything is amazing! The service is super friendly and just fabulous. Marco is the best (so fun) and Ricky is wonderful (he’ll be running the place soon enough!). The owner, Ricardo, is delightfully friendly…just the perfect host. The food comes out quickly, plates are cleared quickly, courses are timed perfectly…it’s just a great experience from start to finish!

Cibo eccezionale, ragù eseguito come da ricetta tradizionale tagliato al coltello (per gusto personale leggermente troppo grossolano). Antipasto di formaggi misti divino, primi buonissimi, dolce spettacolare. Personale accogliente e disponibile, unica nota il rumore in quanto essendo un locale molto gettonato è sempre pieno e nella saletta di sotto si crea un po’ di confusione.

Siamo andati a pranzo il sabato. Abbiamo prenotato e il tempo di attesa è stato di cinque minuti. Personale squisito e molto educato. Se non hai prenotato, c’è una lunga fila di attesa. Visto il caldo il tavolo all’esterno era perfetto, peccato che è leggermente inclinato, vista la conformazione della strada. Le sedie non sono particolarmente comode. Il servizio è stato veloce e super efficiente. I piatti e l’apparecchiatura sono splendidi, peccato che in tre lo spazio è molto poco e ristretto. Il cibo è eccellente ma estremamente risicato, visti i prezzi, mi aspettavo una porzione decisamente più abbondante. Ottimo pranzo, ma il prezzo e la fame ci hanno fatto storcere il naso.

Siam venute stasera io e una mia amica senza prenotazione. La signora dell’ingresso e l’oste sono stati molto gentili e in breve tempo ci han fatto accomodare al piano di sotto. Cibo veramente buono: abbiamo ordinato la lasagna verde alla bolognese e il purè…mamma mia, da leccarsi i baffi. L’unica pecca a mio parere è stata il cameriere che ci ha preso le ordinazioni. Molto distaccato, occhi sbarrati, nemmeno un grazie dopo aver saldato il conto. Peccato

Il posto è caratteristico, il cibo buono, le porzioni giuste. Forse non proprio economico: eravamo in tre, abbiamo preso due antipasti, due primi, un secondo, tre dolci e una bottiglia di vino e abbiamo speso circa 50 euro a testa.

Locale storico . Signora gentilissima all ‘ entrata che ti consola che con pazienza un tavolo si libererà a breve. Cibo della tradizione.

Came here for my girlfriend’s birthday as was recommended by our hotel as a good authentic restaurant. firstly the service and atmosphere was brilliant, generally attentive staff and was bustling even on a thursday night. the food was tasty but, whilst eating the mushroom linguini there was a work in it, i raised it with the waiting staff who promptly changed it and took the dish away. Lost my appetite after this and tainted the whole experience. Real shame as the rest of the experience was very good but very concerning if there’s worms in the food
