We visited Ostello Alpino on several occasions, both in winter and during the summer months. We never stayed as guests in the hostel so my review is only based on the experience we had at the bar having coffee and drinks. The place is very original, colorful and refreshing. The staff is very kind, professional and friendly. I especially liked the colorful posters hanging on their walls and I plan on buying one of them for my apartment. The coffee and drinks were very good both enjoyed near the fireplace or in their spacious and relaxing summer garden. It’s a place I always look forward to returning whenever I come to Bormio.
At first on arrival I was thinking “hmmm a hostel, what have I booked now”. But as soon as I opened the door we were welcomed by the staff after a long day riding our motorcycles. We were checked in quickly and the room was really clean and comfortable. Our bikes stored in the underground garage and We quickly grabbed a few (nice) beers and relaxed in the garden. Although the bar was “closed” we had nothing to complain about, service was great. Come evening, we had a bite to eat in the restaurant. Even though there was a big party being served, we got the attention and care from the staff that was super. The food was incredible good, fresh, tasteful and real value for money. A huge compliment for this location that has a vibe of relaxing, but don’t be mistaken, the crew works hard and do everything to make your stay a pleasant one.

We are incredibly grateful to the kindest people working here! When we had car trouble and, as foreigners, were turned away elsewhere, they went out of their way to help us find a mechanic. We truly appreciate their support and generosity. The rooms, breakfast, and common areas were also beautiful and welcoming. We can only highly recommend this place to everyone! 🙏🏻
This place looks very cool, loved the design. Staff was very friendly. Breakfast was good, not very many options but fine. Garden is lovely! Dogs are allowed. River is practically at the backyard. Clean and calm. There is a big bike garage, very good option to stay for a bike or hike holiday!
This is really the base camp for bikers and road cyclist. They got a garage with hooks and place when you can clean your bike. Rooms are modern, nice, clean and easy equipped. I mean if you come here for cycling you do not need any high luxury room.
The location of this place was very good to reach the old baths of Bormio and also to visit Livigno. Good breakfast and very good parking for the car. Clean and comfortable beds with private bathroom. Very helpful receptionist. We also had a fantastic view from our balcony and watched sunrise every morning.
Charming at first sight with its contemporary design, extra cozy common areas around the fireplace, fantastic mattresses (I’ve been here shortly after breaking my collarbone, and still sleplt like a log!), exquisite local food. Still, the best part is the people working here, who can always make you feel welcome with a smile and ready to go the extra mile to put you at ease. We’ll be definitely back soon!!!
Wonderful experience! Delightful location in the splendid setting of Bormio. The rooms are new and extremely cozy...especially the beds! The mattresses are sensationally comfortable. The staff if extremely friendly and professional, they took care of us wonderfully and made us feel truly at home. Great place also for kids: the garden, the big common room with a fireplace, everything was simply perfect. We will definitely come back again!

Stylish hotel. They also have private rooms with private bathrooms. Rooms are very clean. Staff is very friendly. Breakfast is very basic. Only sweet stuff, not my kind of thing but for the price it's OK.
After a long drive from Belgium this hostel was more then a lifesaver! They had everything we needed: a nice meal in the evening, good room with the best smelling soap ;) and a bar outside with nice beers and other drinks. After a nice breakfast they gave us some travelling tips as well. Friendliest staff ever!
Very nice hotel, very friendly staff. Garage for bicycles and motorcycles free of charge. Very nice breakfast and cool corona hygiene concepts (everything from the buffet is filled into glasses). Outdoor area and bar is very good. Delicious cocktails in the evening with fair prices. Rooms are new, clean and have a lot of wood. Sleep quality is good, although you can here the main road during night hours depending on which room you get. Internet is pretty bad 😂 3mbit download maximum. I would recommend this hotel for anyone but especially for motorcyclists and bicyclists. I am for sure visiting the hotel again when I am staying in bormio.
We spent a great evening with the owner Daniele in here. He was working on a new bar, which he built of an old bus and i think it's going to be super awesome! He served us cold beer in the backyard and we really enjoyed the beautiful atmosphere. Bathrooms and everything was super clean. Thanks Daniele and see you next time we are in Bormio! :)
An excellent accommodation. Very friendly and courteous staff. Excellent breakfast. Everything is new, very clean and tidy. Especially suitable for cyclists as there is a locked storage room for the bikes. I can fully recommend to stay there. Wifi could be better
Very cozy ambience. The staff is very kind and helpful, recommended some nice walks in the mountains close by. Definitely recommended (they also serve an excellent breakfast, available also if you do not stay for the night).
Clean, stylish, friendly and modern in a traditional setting. This place is great, and the attention to detail in all areas, including the choices of craft beer, really adds to a stay here.
Really really recommended. Friendly staff, excellent cleaning, beautiful rooms, unique atmosphere and stunning location. We do suggest to have lunch & dinner in there because the quality of the food is really high. We'll return there for sure.

This is a modern, tidy and clean hostel. The breakfast is fresh and comprehensive. However, the hostel is situated next to the main road in Bormio, hence our room towards that side of the house was extremely noisy! Also, the room was surprisingly small, there wasn't any space besides the two beds. It was by far the most expensive stay within our journey. Overall, value for money was below average.
They hardly get hot in the rooms. When we came back from skiing, the room was cold and the heating did not warm us. It was impossible to properly dry wet things after skiing. This was very annoying…
