Conveniently located in Back Bay, this bright restaurant with walls of glass is very inviting. We had reservations for brunch and were promptly greeted upon entering and seated immediately near the first floor gas fireplace. The servers were pleasant and knowledgeable, answering all our questions & making helpful suggestions. The Bloody Marys were tasty but did not have celery. The apps came out quickly, the spoons were just a tease, but you can order as many as you want. The tower was fresh and cold. The Benedict had a good share of sweet lobster knuckles & claw meat, while the eggs were perfectly poached. Served with deep fried homefries & a tiny side of mixed greens. Excellent. The avocado toast was served on sourdough with avocado, smoked salmon, thin radish slices and topped with tobiko. It was outstanding. Definitely a great place for fresh seafood.

The space felt a bit crowded but the decor looked nice for a date night. We made a reservation and were seated immediately upon arrival despite coming 20 minutes early. The food was good. Everything was cooked well and the ingredients seemed to be of good quality. We got the kanpachi crudo and the beef tartare. The crudo’s main flavors were pear and truffle. The combination was unusual for me so the first bite was strange but I enjoyed it more on the second bite. By no means was it bad, just unfamiliar. It was fun and the fish was nice and fresh. The beef tartare was by far my favorite dish of the night. It was quite pretty and tasted kind of like if a classic beef tartare and a beef wellington had a baby. It had some mushroom mixed in with the beef sandwiched between 2 layers of puff pastry. The bottom layer had a bit of cheese and the flavor balance was quite nice. The meats were all tender and soft; I didn’t find any bits that were sinewy or tough at all. The bread served was a pretty nice brioche-like bun. To me, it was buttery and flavored enough that it didn’t need the extra butter on the side. The only downside was that it got a little bit tougher after it cooled but it was still fine. For entrees we got the scallops and hot lobster roll. The lobster roll was a bit heavy on the butter for me but that is more of a personal preference. I likely would have liked the cold version with mayo more. Both were solid though even if they didn’t wow us as much as the appetizers did. The entrees felt pretty standard while the apps just felt more creative. We might get only appetizers next time we come haha Overall everything was tasty and we’d come back to try the octopus and other apps.

This place is a 4.3ish more so than 5 but I'll give it a 5 based on my experience. Went here with my wife for a date. The waiters (bussers?) are very nice and attentive. The only thing I'd say they were slow on was water refills :(. We got fillet mignon, prime steak. A bit sad that not even one side is included in the price but oh well. We also got mashed potatoes and brussel sprouts. Steak was amazing and mashed potatoes were decent. Neither my wife nor I were a fan of the brussel sprouts. We also got calamari and Caesar for our starters. No complaints on those and generous portions :D They accidentally delivered us another tables steak such we didn't realize until later. So, we got to keep that + our orders 😅 For dessert we got the hazelnut tart (dark chocolate). It was great though a bit heavy if you eat a lot. Still delicious. My main issue with this place was seating. I wish we got a booth seat or something cuz we were in the open and surrounded by groups who were very loud 📢. The restaurant overall was very loud.

As a passionate diner who truly values the hospitality and culinary delights of restaurants, I must say that this experience was truly exceptional. We had made a reservation for an early dinner, but as the rain began to fall, we arrived early, before our reservation was confirmed. In our haste, we hadn’t checked the start time of dinner. When we approached the manager, who I believe was named Tim, we asked if we could still have the dinner menu. To our delight, he went to speak with the chef and went above and beyond to accommodate us. It was an incredible and wonderful gesture that made our experience even more memorable. The service was impeccable. Our server was incredibly polite, professional, and helpful. Despite being a bartender, he managed to check on us throughout the evening. As we were leaving, he stopped by to inquire about our satisfaction. This attention to detail and genuine care for our experience were truly commendable. The food was simply divine. The bread was great, but I still can’t get over those Brussels sprouts. The sauce was rich and flavorful, the crunchiness was perfect, and the seasoning was spot on. For our second course, we had clam chowder and octopus. The chowder was creamy and thick, while the octopus was delicious. However, I would suggest grilling the octopus and serving it on top of the accompanying vegetables to enhance the flavors. Nevertheless, it was still a great dish. For our entrees, we had pasta and tuna. The tuna was cooked to perfection, and the only suggestion I would make is to serve the sauce on the side so that guests can add it to their liking. The cocktails were equally impressive. We had amaretto sour and gimlet, both of which were tasty and refreshing, especially on a rainy day in Boston. Overall, this restaurant was a great choice. The excellent customer service and the even better food made it an unforgettable dining experience. Thank you for making our visit so special. Best regards, Srdan Dokovic

The salmon Crudo here was absolutely stunning The calamari was delicious. The server was able to get us in and out quickly because we had an event to go to, but we were very pleased with everything. Very highly recommend.

I came here for brunch and was really impressed. I ordered the fish & chips, Caesar salad, and tuna tartare. Everything was tasty and well-prepared. The service was friendly, attentive, and efficient. I visited during a weekday lunch hour, and the place was packed with downtown Boston business crowds, but it never felt too noisy. We were seated on the second floor, which was comfortable and had a nice view. For families with kids, the first floor might be a better option with easier access and a livelier atmosphere. Overall, a great spot for brunch or lunch in the area. I’d definitely come back!

Amazingly impressed—delighted with the food, service, and ambience. It was the perfect wedding anniversary brunch, made even more special by the heartfelt live jazz. Our server, Angela, was truly wonderful and helped make the celebration unforgettable. We’ll definitely be back again very soon.

We had a wonderful date night at The Banks. Shout out to our server, Camila, who was exceptional. We had a show to get to, and she made sure we were able to enjoy the full prix fixe menu and still leave on time. All the staff were kind and courteous. I definitely recommend the prix fixe as a fun way to try a bit of everything. The wine pairing was the best we've had for a prix fixe menu. Every wine was delicious, unique, and paired well with the food. I'm not usually a Chardonnay, but the one they paired with the lobster gnocchi was outstanding. I didn't know Chardonnay could be so good. Wonderful dessert wine too. Thank you to everyone at The Banks for making our night so special!

We really enjoyed brunch. The service was top notch and the food was fantastic. We will come back. Bonus for a nice fire place in the middle of the restaurant.

During a recent trip to Boston, my brothers and I decided to go to the banks. It was restaurant we in Boston so we got to try their “dine out Boston” menu. I was the only person who choose from their main menu, which I has great options as well. I started with the Caesar salad and calamari. Both very good dishes. Caesar salad was exceptional and had the best place anchovies I’ve ever had (very fresh). The calamari really surprised me, it was a mixed between fried calamari, jalapeños, and zucchini, which was a combination I never knew I needed. For my main meal I tried the Bolognese. Everything was great our server Camilla did a great job hosting us as well.

This is a must try if you are in town. Due to a concert in town traffic was insane getting to the restaurant. I messaged them to let them know I would be late and they accommodated us with no issues. They have a wonderful wine list. And a menu that has a little something for everyone. The tuna tartare is a must try.

Dined here for Eat Out Boston and it was the best decision we ever made! From beginning to end the food was incredible, each bite better than the last! Their bread was on a whole other level.

We spent the weekend in Boston and came here for lunch on a Saturday. They were moderately busy and still serving their brunch menu at noon. Check in was great, the hostess and manager were both very engaging and provided a warm welcome. The fire place we sat next to provided nice warmth to help take the chill off from walking there. The menu was filled with great items that looked very appetizing, as did their wine list. They even have some very nice half bottles, which is what we opted for. Ultimately, at the manager’s suggestion, I opted for their warm lobster roll, but first up was their clam chowder. My wife absolutely loved the clam chowder, so did I! But we disagree about which was best between here and Abe & Louie’s, as I felt this one was amazing, but I felt that Abe & Louie’s edged this one out – She disagreed! Either way, you can’t go wrong with the clam chowder here, so get it!! The next course was their incredibly large and fresh shrimp cocktail, which came with their zesty cocktail sauce and tasty homemade hot sauce – This was truly a great experience! The lobster roll was made we meaty, fresh, sweet lobster and the brioche bun was made in-house and was outstanding! In fact, the whole sandwich was amazing! Save room for dessert! We opted for ice cream with their home made hot fudge and that fudge was incredible! We definitely enjoyed this visit and would highly recommend stopping in… we’ll definitely be back!

Dining at Banks Seafood and Steak was a total revelation—an unforgettable culinary experience that hit every note perfectly! Having worked alongside Executive Chef Edson back in our Farmstead Table days, I already knew he had serious skills. But seeing how his cooking has evolved? Just wow. His creativity and refinement have skyrocketed—each dish feels like a love letter to flavor and craftsmanship. Let’s talk about that fish taco. Crunchy, vibrant, packed with flavor—it’s hands down the best I’ve ever had. A total texture and taste symphony. And then came the banana sundae... rich, nostalgic, and sinfully good. The kind of dessert that makes you pause mid-bite and whisper “Oh my god.” The vibe? On point. The team is incredible, and I have to give a special shout-out to Daniel, our server—warm, knowledgeable, and attentive in the most genuine way. Edson, you’ve created something truly special at Banks. I can't wait to come back—and bring everyone I know.

The Bank’s Seafood & Steak – what a gem! From the moment you walk in, it’s pure class and beauty. The fireplace on the first floor sets such a cozy tone, and the upstairs views and private dining rooms are stunning — one comfortably seats 12 and the other up to 40. And that’s just the setting! The food? Absolutely delicious. Every dish was a hit — rich flavors, beautifully presented, and cooked to perfection. The staff was polished and professional, making the entire experience seamless. This place is a full experience from start to finish. Can’t wait to go back!

From the moment I walked in, the Banks Fish House delivered a dining experience that was polished, peaceful, and deeply satisfying. I came on a quiet Monday evening, and everything—from the timing to the textures—was beautifully executed. Getting there was easy via rideshare, and once inside, I was warmly welcomed. My server Courtney was attentive, helpful, and kind, never rushing me even though I dined solo. 🥗 What I Ordered: • Arcadian Greens ($16.00) A refreshing, flavorful salad featuring crisp greens, sliced apple, grape tomatoes, feta, roasted red pepper, and sunflower seeds. Light yet complex—a perfect start. • Hiramasa Crudo ($24.00) Absolutely exquisite. Silky slices of yellowtail amberjack served with subtle citrus notes, a sesame cracker, and microgreens. One of the highlights of the meal. • Cast Iron Cornbread ($8.00) Served warm and golden, with a slight crunch on the edges and soft inside. The whipped honey butter melted into every bite. • Grapefruit Almond Tonic ($12.00) This was a mocktail, not an alcoholic drink—which I appreciated. It was perfectly balanced: not too sweet, slightly tart, with a hint of toasted almond. • Parker House Roll (complimentary) Soft, buttery, and warm from the oven. An unexpected treat to begin the meal. ⸻ Overall, The Banks strikes that rare balance between sophistication and comfort. Prices are on the higher side, but the quality, service, and ambiance make it worth it—especially for a calm, elegant solo dinner. I’ll absolutely be back.

Dine Out Boston is here! ✨ I couldn’t resist choosing The Banks for this foodie adventure — and guess what? They’re serving my absolute fave: Key Lime Pie for dessert! 🍰🥰 All this for just $36 per person, including an appetizer, entrée, AND dessert! Talk about a steal! 💸 Here’s what we indulged in: 🦪 Scallop Ceviche 🥄 Vichyssoise 🥩 Hanger Steak 🍤 Shrimp Scampi 🍋 Key Lime Pie 🍑 Peach Cobbler Brulee

Our first time and we had an outstanding experience. We went there for Dine out Boston and definitely will come back. The options were great and the food was delicious. Dine out Boston Menu was $55 per person, with plenty of nice options. I had the Lobster Arancini for first course, the scallops for main and the creme brûlée for dessert, all amazing. Our party shared a bottle of wine 2022 Evolution, delicious light body red. We sat upstairs all the way in the corner with 90 degree view of the city throughout full glass - the view was spectacular. Our party had a great time and we didn’t want to leave, we actually stayed extra time and no one asked us to leave, which was so nice of the staff ( we didn’t realize the time as we really enjoyed ourselves). Thank you for amazing hospitality and great overall experience.

My family hosted my bridal shower at The Banks Fish House and it was nothing short of amazing! Erica couldn't have been more helpful during the planning process. She is very responsive and flexible --- we really enjoyed working with her. The shower was perfect in every way and a lot of that had to do with Banks! We rented the 'The City View' (one of their many event spaces) which is a beautiful room with floor-to-ceiling windows and views of Back Bay. We opted for the 2-course brunch and offered french toast, fried chicken sandwiches and lobster rolls as our entree selections. Almost everyone, including myself, ordered a lobster roll! The lobster rolls were delicious and FULL of lobster. Banks allowed us to bring a cake in as well as another dessert from our favorite bakery. We really appreciated that! The staff waiting on us during the shower were fabulous. Drink service was attentive and quick and they were great about checking in on me, which was so nice! We highly recommend hosting your event at Banks. The restaurant is beautiful, the food is delicious and the staff are fantastic! We couldn't have had a better experience and can’t wait to come back in the future!

We had a wonderful dining experience. From the moment we walked in, the cozy and relaxing interior with a beautiful fire pit in the center instantly set the tone for a pleasant evening. The atmosphere was quiet, welcoming, and perfect for unwinding. We were also thrilled to discover their happy hour option from 3 PM to 5 PM, which included oysters for $2 :) As for the food, it was nothing short of spectacular. We ordered grilled tuna, branzini, and halibut, and each dish was as beautiful to look at as it was delicious to taste. The flavors were perfectly balanced, and the presentation was top-notch. The staff truly elevated the experience. From the management to the waiters, everyone was attentive, on time with our orders, and made us feel incredibly welcome throughout the evening. Whether you’re looking for a romantic date spot, a place to host a business dinner, or somewhere to celebrate a special occasion, I highly recommend this restaurant. You’ll leave feeling satisfied in every way!

The Banks offers an upscale dining experience with plenty of seafood options. The place was vibing with activity in the evening. The food was great but lacked the wow factor. Nonetheless, would recommend and worth exploring more dishes on the menu!

Whenever I come to New England I have to get a clam chowder and this place didn't disappoint. Not too potato forward nice balance of flavor. Got it with a half Caesar and it was a perfect lunch portion. Could've used a touch more dressing. However, anytime a place actually makes their Caesar with anchovies it's a must get! The crispy fish tacos were just that and stuffed. Ordered the Red balloon and Sangria. Both were nice and light.

This was a lovely restaurant. The vibe was chic and warm. My mom and I tried the lobster roll (so yummy), the caviar spoons, oysters, and New England clam chowder! Everything was delicious. Had an incredible meal here. The prix fixe menu offers more than anyone could ever ask for — generous, thoughtfully curated, and absolutely delicious. Kristen, our server, was hands down the best we’ve had in the entire city of Boston in a long time. Truly exceptional, real-time customer service: kind, helpful, and genuinely attentive. She made the experience unforgettable.

We had an outstanding dinner last night at The Banks Seafood & Steak in Back Bay, and it was the perfect way to cap off our time in Boston. From the moment we sat down, our server Damarys made the experience truly special. She was incredibly attentive, knowledgeable about the menu, and genuinely warm without ever being overbearing—exactly what you want on a romantic evening. She guided us through the options with enthusiasm and made sure everything flowed smoothly. The food was excellent across the board. We started with the New England Clam Chowder (rich, creamy, and elevated with Berkshire pork belly and fresh herbs—easily one of the best we’ve had in the city), followed by a beautiful seafood tower loaded with pristine oysters, clams, shrimp, and lobster tail. Everything tasted incredibly fresh, with that perfect briny ocean flavor, and the presentation was impressive. We paired it with a fantastic half-bottle of Billecart-Salmon Brut Réserve—crisp, mineral-driven bubbles that cut through the richness beautifully and elevated every bite. The ambiance was cozy and elegant (white tablecloths, soft lighting, fireplace vibes), making it feel special without being stuffy. Service was top-notch overall, and the drinks were spot-on. 100% recommended—if you’re in Boston and love high-quality seafood in a welcoming setting, put The Banks on your list. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in town! 5 stars. Thank you, Damarys, for making our night unforgettable!

We had the pleasure of celebrating New Year’s Eve at The Banks Seafood and Steak and it was an unforgettable experience! From the moment we arrived, the manager Gary made us feel incredibly welcome and went above and beyond to ensure our night was special. His hospitality truly set the tone for the evening. The food and drinks were absolutely delicious, everything was prepared perfectly and exceeded our expectations. The live music created such a fun and lively atmosphere, making it the perfect place to ring in the New Year with my fiancée. Overall, it was a fantastic evening filled with great service, amazing food, and wonderful vibes. We will definitely be back! Highly recommend.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The Banks absolutely nailed our company holiday outing for December 2025!!! We hosted our Christmas dinner here and couldn’t have picked a better spot. The fixed menu was not only printed out with my Company’s logo to add a morsel of personalization but was absolutely outstanding — every course felt thoughtfully curated, beautifully presented, and genuinely delicious. It struck that perfect balance of elevated without being stuffy, which is exactly what you want for a group event. The vibe is what really sets The Banks apart. Warm, stylish, and energetic without being overwhelming — it felt festive and special, but still comfortable enough for conversation and connection. From the atmosphere to the service, everything ran smoothly and made the night feel effortless. If you’re looking for a place in Boston that delivers great food, great energy, and an experience that actually feels memorable — especially for a holiday dinner or group event — The Banks is a home run. We’ll absolutely be back.

Shout to to Nicole at the hostess stand she changed our time and was pleasant and great. Outr table was in front of the biggest fireplace I've seen in a while. Andrea perfect server she made great suggestions and our food came out hot and delicious. The bread reminded me of a pretzel I loved it. The tuna tar tar is big enough for 4 and yummy. I had the roasted chicken and it was huge and juicy and the skin crispy .... it had a maple glaze kinda near it and on the bottom not my fav. But it was not all over it and the meal was great. My buddy got scallops and so many and so juicy and grilled great. The roasted brussel sprouts were good but again some sweet sauce on the bottom not so good and the broccoli be was so crispy and great ... desert banana pie just sooo fresh and perfect

Enjoyed lunch with some friends and our baby a week ago. We enjoyed our time! It was lunch so a more casual vibe than evenings. Still, we had a very attentive waiter. Oysters were the best I’ve ever had! The filet mignon was amazing incredible, though I’d order it medium next time instead of medium rare, as it is so thick!

A Culinary Gem That Delights Every Sense From the moment you step into this stunning restaurant, it’s clear you’re in for an extraordinary experience. Nestled in a prime location with breathtaking views, this spot perfectly balances ambiance with accessibility—whether you’re planning a casual lunch or a special night out. The food? Absolutely impeccable. Each dish is a masterpiece, showcasing fresh, high-quality ingredients combined with creative flair. From the first bite of one their signature appetizer to the decadent desserts, every flavor is thoughtfully crafted and beautifully presented by their Chef Edson Rojas. The menu offers a diverse range of options that cater to all palates, making it a haven for food lovers. What truly elevates the experience, however, is the service. The staff are attentive without being intrusive, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about ensuring your visit is flawless. Jessica was our server and her recommendations were spot-on. The whole staff creates an inviting, warm atmosphere that makes you feel like a valued guest rather than just a diner. The Director of Operations for the Himmel Group Gary Tummings has put his touch of exquisite service on the experience here and it shows. In short, this restaurant isn’t just a place to eat—it’s a destination to savor. Highly recommended for anyone seeking exceptional cuisine, a prime location, and outstanding service all wrapped into one unforgettable dining experience.

Great first-time meal at The Banks! We had the pre-fixe dinner and everything was delicious! The poached lobster dish was extraordinary, the uni carbonara was creamy yumminess and also the dessert was delightful with a fig tart. All were presented beautifully—which is nice, but it has to then be good- all of the dishes were excellent! Sara was a wonderful server as well. Fun ambiance. We will def return.

Great restaurant, excellent service and vibe. Started off with the spectacular tuna tartare. Also, had the Caesar salad which was ok and tasted a lot like anchovies. I had the bolognese and my partner had the branzino. Both were delicious. Our server Camila made the experience exceptional. We came to the restaurant right before closing and she made us feel welcomed and not rushed.

We went for lunch and we got few dishes. Lobster roll was amazing. Fish tacos are alright. Fish and chips were also ok. The worst was the octopus, super dry and over cooked.

We enjoyed all the dishes we had from the dine out Boston menu. Everything was seasoned just right! Not too salty :)) and the ingredients were fresh :)) yummy😋😋 The only negative would be the lack of attentiveness from the waiters as they billed us for the wrong items, but they were quick to apologize and fix the mistake, thank you :))

Me and a few girlfriends went for restaurant week. We met at the bar first, had the octopus and fries, which were amazing. Octopus cooked perfectly. Tender, not rubbery. The fries were crispy outside, fluffy inside and came with two dips. I know one was ketchup, but it was better tasting than regular! Had a couple drinks. The bartender is excellent. Very friendly and checked in on us a few times. My friend's husband sat at the bar for his dinner and said the bartender was incredible too! Tall guy with dark hair and deep voice, for the record. Any way, we went upstairs for dinner. The shrimp ceviche was excellent, very fresh and bright. The steak was fantastic. The onion rings on the plate, I didn't quite understand them, but it's onion rings. Who hates onion rings? The bread pudding was great. Everyone else at the table got something different and they all seemed to not like it. The cook on everything was great but the complements didn't work. The scallops came with a chestnut mash and pomegranate seeds. All cooked well, but not quite right. At least, that's the feedback I was told. The staff was a bit slow, so the refills of wine never happened. I would recommend this place to a friend, but maybe sit at the bar. Tip the bartender well.

The best thing we ate was the seafood tower - all fresh and accompanied by excellent condiments. The famed clam chowder is good, but no more than that. The rest of the food was also good, but nothing all that interesting, and the plating reminds me of hotel banquet service in the 1970s. Service was friendly, but really slow (not talking about the kitchen timing, but things like drinks, wine, water, or even just getting to the table, on a very non-busy night). It's a lovely space.

Decent food. Very good cocktails. Not the friendliest or most accommodating wait staff. They messed up my order but quickly brought another out. Before that, the wait was very long for each dish

Great atmosphere, came on a Sunday lunch and there was live jazz music playing. We came here for dine out Boston and had their lunch 3 course meal with shrimp ceviche, cajun fish & chips / beef fettuccine and desserts: creme brulee and sticky toffee pudding. I must say the best isbthe shrimp ceviche. The rest were mediocre. Cajun fish & chips was almost good but the fish was too wet? So abit soggy inside

We went to the Banks to celebrate my birthday, a surprise dining experience from my husband. The food was fantastic, I highly recommend the truffle fries. We sat at the bar upstairs. Service was a bit below par, as we waited for drinks to be filled again while the bartender chatted with coworkers. Other than that it was a great dining experience and we’d be willing to give it another shot.

We started with the tuna tartar, for main we had the 100 day ages Ribeye with lobster tail and for sides we got the onion rings, Jalapeño Cornbread, and mashed potatoes. To finish it off we had creme brulee. We also ordered red balloon, little lies, and Rye Manhattan The tuna tartar was okay, it has a bit too much crispy rice to tuna ratio for my opinion, it was more crispy rice with some tuna on top. The ribeye was cooked perfectly (medium rare) and was very good and the lobster tail was very good as well. The mashed potato and Cornbread were pretty good as well. The onion rings weren't that good, I didn't like the batter much, it was also too crispy, slightly overcooked. The red balloon and little lies were really good, and the first Rye Manhattan was pretty good as well. The second Rye Manhattan was really bad. They replaced it but the replacement wasn't any better. I think different bartender made the first one that was good. Service was really good and our server was very nice and helpful.

The ambience is very nice and we had a great window seat. The service was subpar for place like this. The server didn’t repeat my order so she forgot to put an my order of truffle fries to go with my meal. So I pretty much finished my food, when the order of truffle fries arrived. She never asked if we wanted to refills on our drinks. Also word of warning, they will charge you for each soda you refill at a price of $4 each! I ordered the “mini lobster roll” which really turned out to be miniature lobster roll, that you can finish in 2 bites. Why does such an appetizer exist LOL but I would have ordered the full size if the server had explained this! Clam chowder and lobster roll was delicious though! Chocolate cake and strawberry cake were good but nothing to rave about.

Arrived a few min early for our dining room res on a busy night, stood awkwardly with other parties for several minutes after our booked time and were finally offered a consolation high top (in pic) directly in front of the revolving doors. Water came quickly but it was another 15 minutes before our drink order was taken and 15 more for them to arrive. The host was working very hard to manage the FOH situation and our server was doing her best. Loud, crowded sports bar vibe downstairs doesn't align with the higher end prices. Most plates were decent though the warm lobster roll was oddly fishy and tough. Downstairs bathroom ran out of TP and paper towels simultaneously and the same host keeping the whole front end running rectified that situation as well. Not the best experience, but maybe it was a bad night all around.

J

Sadly disappointed with everything tonight. 1. Waited 25 minutes for our table, not even an 'I'm sorry', no updates until seated 2. 10 more minutes before we have about service (water) 3. Both drinks were incorrect 4. Ceaser salad not crispy, like warm, croutons almost mushy 5. Bavette okay, almost overcooked 6. Tuna - only dish that met expectations 7. Service was very good, when we could someones attention This used to be a excellent restaurant, can't recommend it at this time

Came here with a large group for a work conference. The seafood was good, steak was just okay — but the experience was ruined when we found two roaches in the dining room. Totally unacceptable. The bread was amazing, but it’s hard to enjoy a meal when you’re grossed out. Wouldn’t return.

We went to dinner at The Banks Seafood & Steak, which advertises valet parking starting at 4:00 PM. We arrived at 4:15 PM, but there was no valet available to take our car. We parked on the street and paid the meter. When we left, a man still approached us asking for money for parking, even though we had already paid. The service throughout the evening was extremely slow. Water took about 30 minutes to arrive at our table. After another 30 minutes, the server returned to ask whether we had ordered sparkling water, which we confirmed we had already requested. The first course arrived after approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes, nearly two hours after we were seated. During service, our wine bottle was taken from the table while there was still wine left in it, and all of our glasses were removed. The glasses were later brought back, which added to the overall confusion. The menu was changed at the last minute. Instead of scallops, we received one oyster. The prix fixe dinner menu cost $130 per person, which included that single oyster. For the second course, I chose the beef tartare, which was good. For the entrée, I ordered the 10 oz steak, but it was noticeably smaller than expected and did not include any side dishes. We had to order sides separately: mashed potatoes for $15 and French fries for $16. Dessert was the highlight of the meal. We chose the cheesecake and the chocolate cake, and both were excellent. There was no clear gluten-free menu available, and the server seemed unsure about which items were safe. As someone with a gluten allergy, this made me feel uncomfortable and unsafe eating there—especially since we asked before making the reservation whether gluten-free options would be clearly identified on the dinner menu. The total bill for our table was around $900, and the server was largely absent during our nearly four-hour stay. Overall, while the food itself tasted good, the overall experience fell short. We would give this restaurant a strong 3-star rating, mainly for the taste of the food.

The service was very good and our server was attentive, friendly, and professional. The porterhouse was excellent and definitely the highlight of the meal. Unfortunately, the rest of the food was disappointing. The lobster bisque was oily with a strange aftertaste, and the grilled shrimp had that same flavor. The mashed potatoes tasted boxed rather than fresh. We also ordered a hot fudge sundae, but there was no hot fudge, just chocolate crumbles, and the ice cream tasted sugar free. To make matters worse, both my husband and I had terrible heartburn afterward, which really affected the rest of our evening. While the service team is doing a great job, the food quality was inconsistent and left us disappointed.

Second time going to this restaurant- I enjoyed the pre fixe menu so much on my first visit with my friends that I wanted to take my girlfriend here to celebrate my birthday with me. We initially sat at a table by the fire which was uncomfortably hot, but we eventually were able to move- that was good. The caesar salad was dry due to an overwhelming amount of cheese and a bad salad to dressing ratio. The bread was very good- slightly sweet and salty with a delightful texture. My scallops were not bad- but not particularly inspired and the plating left something to be desired. My girlfriend enjoyed the lobster orzotto. She had mentioned that it was my birthday to the wait staff- who had been slow throughout the evening- and they didn’t even acknowledge it. When I go to TGI Fridays, they sing happy birthday to me. For the prices here, I had at least hoped that they would say happy birthday or do something to make my birthday meal feel special. This experience was a decided downgrade from my first visit. Just too expensive for being so mid.

I really enjoyed our food last night and our server was great but the hostess was better I would say. We saw other people get bread and we didn’t we thought it was because ordered appetizers instead of mains. Then on the bill the bread was on there. So I asked our server why add it if we never got it offered and she told us someone said we didn’t want it which was a lie since I love bread especially rolls before a meal. It was a little bit disappointing but what was worse someone lied about. The hostess was nice and offered us a take out of it but our mood was spoiled so we said no but we still appreciated the gesture.
