Lo único que tengo para decir es FELICITACIONES!! por una carbonara tan bien lograda!!! El servicio fue excelente y no te puedes ir de aquí sin probar el tiramisu que es un 10/10 como todo en este lugar!! Ahora se convertirá en mi preferido en Puerto Vallarta!! Gracias por una experiencia gastronómica increíble!! 🫶🏼

I had a glance of wine, the bruschetta, and the lasagna. The bruschetta was delicious, and had a great basalmic dressing on it. The lasagna was very good, the pasta seemed a bit on the thicker side, and tasted homemade, it paired very good with the sauce, meat, and cheese. The staff was very friendly and attentive. There is a front area and a back courtyard, the back courtyard was very relaxing with a lot of plants.

Love this place. The food and service are excellent. The ambience is sweet, especially when they have live entertainment, which is always kind of subdued (e.g. a guy with a guitar and a woman singing, or simillar) - never raucous. It's one of my favorites for Italian in town. There was going to be a Posada event later so the kitchen closed at 9, but they were very accommodating and didn't rush us out.

It pays to walk a little further! This place was recommended by an Italian foodie and it didn’t disappoint. Lovely decor in the back courtyard or up front. Simple, tasty homemade pasta dishes. Portions are just right. Service is friendly and helpful and attentive. Prices are reasonable.

On our last day in Puerto Vallarta, we were looking for a restaurant that accepted credit cards, as we had just run out of pesos. After browsing several options nearby, we came across Trattoria Di Nuovo, which had great reviews and was only a short five-minute walk from our hotel. While we were initially disappointed that there was no air-conditioning—a challenge in Puerto Vallarta’s warm and humid weather—we were seated in the back courtyard, where several fans kept the area surprisingly comfortable. Our server, Ariana, was absolutely delightful. She made excellent recommendations, took our order with a friendly smile, and checked in regularly to ensure everything was perfect. The food was exceptional—without question, the best Italian cuisine I’ve ever had in Puerto Vallarta. Every dish was beautifully prepared and full of flavor. All in all, Trattoria Di Nuovo was a home run. Between the warm service, cozy courtyard ambiance, and outstanding food, I would not hesitate to return the next time I’m in town.

Although this restaurant has been in business for many years my wife and I went there for the first time last night and had a very good experience. The restaurant offers indoor seating and outdoor seating in a charming courtyard which does have a roof so it remains dry. I do not believe it is air conditioned however the summer heat has started to dissipate so we were comfortable. We shared the bruschetta which was excellent and each chose a pasta dish. The pasta was prepared al dente as we like it and was very tasty. We also shared vanilla ice cream for dessert. The wine by the glass was good. The service was attentive and very good but not obsequious. The prices are reasonable. We will definitely be returning.

My wife and I recently stumbled upon this newer Italian restaurant in Puerto Vallarta, and it absolutely blew us away. The portions were generous (understatement of the year!)—my chicken parmigiana was massive, perfectly breaded, and smothered in a rich, flavorful sauce that tasted like it came straight out of Nonna’s kitchen. My wife ordered the lasagna, and it was everything you want in comfort food: dense, hearty, and layered with love. The sauces here are truly something special—clearly homemade and packed with bold, balanced flavor. We couldn’t leave without trying dessert, and we’re glad we didn’t. Every bite was decadent and beautifully presented. The service was attentive and friendly, making us feel genuinely welcome, and the atmosphere had a warm, lively charm that added to the whole experience. We’re already talking about coming back. A gem in the Romantic Zone. Well back from the Malecon, not a busy street. An authentic ambience, you could be dining on a back street in Rome. We shared a bottle of Primitivo ( excellent wine ), an appetizer of portobello mushrooms and one of calamari. For a main, I had the lasagne which was excellent, not drowning in Bechamel sauce, and my wife had the chicken parmigiana. Limoncellos after the meal were complimentary. The owner/manager was in charge at all times and ensured that serving flowed seamlessly. The kitchen staff were hopping. We will definitely visit again!

The food is really good, highly recommend the pasta dishes, they have a decent wine list and a full bar... they can get busy so a reservation is probably recommended - but we waited less than 30 minutes... on Mondays they have live music so the outside patio gets packed... credit cards accepted

Good Italian restaurant. Friendly staff. Classy music. Impressive selection of dishes. We spilled Sangria. They quickly relocated us and replaced everything. Limoncello was included and served at the end of the dinner.

Delicious Italian food in PV! We were able to get a semi last minute spot for dinner, and although it wasn't a patio spot we were happy to get in. Everything was delicious and freshly made. The kitchen is totally open to the restaurant so you can actually watch them prep your food. Service was very friendly too. Most of us had the seafood gnocchi, but the ravioli with salmon was also delicious. Great calamari too!! Definitely recommend.

Wow, excellent service, excellent food and a nice patio garden in the back. What more could you ask for. We both had the carbonara and the bruschetta. OMG, the bruschetta was perfect!! Diced just right with a hint of sweet balsamic and even the toasted bread was the perfect thickness. We were walk-ins at about 8 pm, but they do take reservations.

I planned a surprised birthday dinner for my partner and they did such a great job with everything. They coordinated the reservation with me perfectly. My partner was really surprised and enjoyed every moment — so did I. The food was fantastic, the staff were so nice and attentive, and the ambiance was heartwarming. We appreciated the handmade pasta in the restaurant too, which made it very fresh. I highly recommend this restaurant!!

Es un lugar encantador y el servicio genial , doy dos estrellas a la comida por que me encanta la comida italiana y este sitio es especial para ello pero pedi unas pastas carbonara y la verdad no es lo que esperaba y mira que si he comida estas pastas en muchos lugares pero en este si no fue el lugar indicado para estas pastas , en cuanto a bebidas , entradas y postres le doy un 10 .

El servicio es muy bueno. El sazón, yo le pondría un 8. No es espectacular, pero cumplidor. Lo que si representa un plus es que al final te obsequian una copita de limoncello.

El lugar es lindo y pintoresco. Excelente servicio, los platillos me quedaron a deber, siento que les faltó sazón. Fuimos porque las reseñas eran buenas. Tal vez no pedimos el platillo adecuado.

Our two-day mission to prove we are still capable of fun (and excessive carb consumption) was a rousing success! ​Last night's dinner with our Chicago friends at Trattorio du Nuovo was an absolute dream. Everything made from scratch, which I appreciated before they served the limoncello. After? I was just grateful for the existence of limoncello. 😉

I came in a bit skeptical after reading other reviews, especially the ones mentioning unclean ice and water and people getting sick. Because of that, my boyfriend and I ordered a few drinks with no ice. Thankfully, we didn’t get sick at all, which was a relief. The inside of the restaurant was actually very pretty and clean, which made a good first impression. Overall, the food was pretty mediocre for the price and didn’t really stand out. That said, the bruschetta was amazing and easily the highlight of the meal—fresh, flavourful, and absolutely worth ordering.

This is a lovely, intimate and passionate restaurant with good, good food. The kitchen clan are clearly trained and committed to putting out quality food. The atmosphere is quaint, comfy and a great blend of Italian in a Mexican setting. Service was a notable challenge and we waited a very long time to order our first drink and then our appetizer and meals. We did have a reservation so we didn’t ‘happen’ upon them. We had zero check in’s and any subsequent beverage orders were initiated by us having to flag down someone. No one checked in on our first course salad (fabulous) and when our main course pastas arrived it was clear they had sat for an extended period of time and weren’t hot. Our server found our acknowledgment of our cool pasta’s as not believable (touching our plates to confirm) but once returned to kitchen the chef professionally addressed the problem and we were served our hot and delicious pastas as described in the menu! Service deficiencies seemed more related to our server and not the team as a whole; a gentleman server is clearly a professional and picks up immediately when needed (both when he sees a need and when called upon). Go and enjoy yourselves but please call out the good or bad service. It’s what separates them from being a really great restaurant!

El ambiente es muy romántico y acojedor. Llegamos una hora antes de cerrar, el vino de excelente calidad al igual la entrada pero al llegar los platos principales mi pasta está dura no le dieron el término al dente que merece con respeto la comida italiana, el tomate Cherri está ácido, a pesar de lo bien logrado de la salsa no lo pude disfrutar por el mal termino del ingrediente principal, el servicio a la mesa no lo considere tan malo hasta que la trabajadora Alexa nos quiso devolver la propina porque según ella la necesitábamos ya que fue baja porque la juzgué según el servicio recibido y solo la di por mínima atención de ella arrimada por su mal comportamiento.No soy crítica experta ni nada parecido pero experiencia como comensal en ese lugar con todo el respeto hará que no regrese nunca más.🙏🏽

El problema de mezclar alimentos precocinados es que no se impregna el sabor y la temperatura no es uniforme en la pasta. Por el precio esperaba algo muchísimo mejor

Muy caluroso y se tardaron mucho tiempo en traer la comida, la cual no es buena, la zona es fea, mejor cenar en los clásicos de la Zona Romántica; gran decepción me llevé al querer conocer nuevas opciones.

La comida está normal,el servicio muy bueno con el compañero mesero pero la verdad recomiendo más limpieza al lugar no sé si tengan plaga o la limpieza no se realiza adecuadamente pero mi colega la última vez que fuimos se percató de que había cucarachas rondando por todo el lugar,no dijimos nada para no amargar a los clientes,solo nos retiramos pero sí miramos varias muchas 🪳

We went here in March and came again last night with two families together. Our kids four of them all ordered Shirley Temple. But it made them all very sick after the dinner. Four kids all threw up in midnight and had diarrhea!! The youngest kid threw up 7 times from 12-3am! And today they all had to lay down in the bed for the whole day and having fever and headaches! This is definitely from the drink or the unclean ice cubes! Be aware of the food safety in this restaurant! This is the picture of the drink. We are soooo disappointed and frustrated. It ruined our vacation!
