We first went to Texas Roadhouse but it was PACKED. We went here and were glad we did. We sat outside an it was so nice, the food was amazing and service was good. They were out of the moist brisket, so when I go back I want to try it out. If you like deviled eggs, try theirs. Wow! Probably the best I’ve ever had.
We had an amazing experience at Bricks Smoked Meats! The food was incredibly fresh, flavorful, and absolutely delicious — every bite was packed with smoky goodness. Our waiter, Anthony, was truly the best — super attentive, friendly, and made great recommendations. The manager also stopped by to check on us, which really showed how involved and committed they are to making sure guests have a great experience. We’ll definitely be coming back soon. Highly recommend! My husband and I both are ordered the Meat & Meat with ribs, pulled pork and the house sausage. Baked beans and collard greens, are a must! All our food was absolutely devine!!!
Had a mom and son day and he wanted to try some place new for lunch. I was hesitant to eat here given the 4.0 rating however it was a yes day for him so in we went. The restaurant is so nice, staff was kind and attentive. The placed smelled amazing with smoked goodness while walking up. Megan was our server and she was phenomenal, she was patient, kind and just a fun personality! We got the bacon burnt ends 7.8/10 and the stuffed jalapeño poppers 10/10 as appetizers! Both were delicious! Then we spilt the Bacon, jam, brisket, burger, and fries 8.3/10! The portion size was huge and it was full of flavor. We will definitely be returning soon!
Our first visit to bricks and it was definitely amazing. Great food, great atmosphere and very good service. Our server was Sarah and she made sure everything was a great experience Brisket was amazing and the nacho appetizer plate was a good portion and taste great Definitely recommend giving them a try I know we will be back soon for sure
Had Sunday brunch for a light meal. The portion was large enough for us to share. We split the deviled eggs and the Turkey BLT. Great flavors for an early lunch. Edit: Second visit. We had a pork sandwich, brisket grilled cheese, and chicken and waffles. Everything was really good. Only suggestions would be to add a sweet and maybe a vinegar bbq sauce.
My Husband and I love this place.. Literally in our top 5 for BBQ since it opened.. Can't believe you guys are leaving but at least we'll be visiting the first location on our next Sarasota trip!
🔥🔥🔥 5-Star Flavor Bomb 🔥🔥🔥 Just had one of the most mouth-watering meals of my life at Bricks Smoked Meats, and I’m still shook. Started with the deviled eggs topped with pork belly—straight-up flavor fireworks. That pork belly? Insane. Then came the solo pork belly bites, and let me tell you, they were like sweet, smoky candy from BBQ heaven. Then the smoked wings hit the table—dry rub, crispy skin, juicy inside—some of the best wings I’ve ever had, hands down. And just when I thought I peaked… enter the brisket grilled cheese. Bro. That thing should be illegal. Smoky, cheesy, melty perfection. If you’re in the area and not eating at Bricks, you’re doing life wrong! Big shoutout to our server for the genuine, top-tier hospitality—she made the whole experience even better. And to the chef and entire staff, thank you for the love you put into the food and the energy you bring to the table. You’ve got something special here!
Great place for a steak. My wife and I happened to come to the Brandon Mall for some cheesecake but instead we went to Brick’s because we could get right in. My first time here. Janelle was great. She helped guide my wife and I through the menu. We came close to closing time so some items were sold out but I wanted steak. The ribeye was amazing. The salad and sides were good too. My wife had the fillet and it was super tender. We ended the night with the banana pudding which is a brûlée. They aren’t cheap when you order the steaks but they are worth it.
Dined here for the first time with my family. The greeter was very friendly welcoming us as we were looking at the outside menu. We sat outside due to the wonderful weather. Our server was pleasant, and made us feel right at home. The food was so delicious by far one of the best pizzas I have had in Florida so far. We will be back it was such a great experience this place is classy but laidback it’s the perfect combination. They also have areas were you can play corn hole.
If I could leave more than 5 stars, I would! This was our first time at Brick’s Smoked Meats, and from the moment we accidentally walked in the wrong door, we were welcomed with warmth and hospitality. Mark, the bartender, greeted us with a big smile, got us seated, handed us menus, and made sure the staff knew we had arrived—what a great first impression! Our server, Dane, was simply fantastic. Super personable, attentive, and incredibly helpful in narrowing down my choices. We kicked things off with the Bacon Burnt Ends and WOW—our entire table devoured them in minutes. They’re a must-try. I went with the brisket paired with the Pimento Mac n Cheese and Sweet Potato Mash. Everything was spot-on, but let me just say—the Sweet Potato Mash could easily pass as dessert. So good! My wife ordered the Chicken Tenders and Roasted Brussels, and while I didn’t try the Brussels myself, everyone at the table who did swore they were the best they’ve ever had. We wrapped up the night with a great conversation with Dane and Matt about our trip to Tampa. Both offered awesome local recommendations that we’ll definitely check out. Brick’s is the real deal—delicious food, genuine people, and a relaxed, welcoming vibe. We’ll absolutely be back again before we head home. Don’t miss this place if you’re in Tampa!
We have a small circle of friends (2 other couples) that enjoy hanging out, eating, drinking, and the occasional corn-hole game. This evening was just a nice dining out experience and catching up on the past few weeks. Our friends recommended Clasico as they have been here a few times and always find that the food is good, the atmosphere is nice, and the prices are fair (for the messed up financial times we are experiencing). Greeted promptly upon arrival by very friendly staff. Seating was comfortable and spacious. We like the layout, choices between inside and out. Plus they share a space with their sister business Chapter 11 (more pub oriented with a beer wall). Our server, John, was spot on. Timing was perfect and good personality. Thank you. Menu is simple but with plenty of choices. *And can choose from either Clasico or Chapter 11's menu, nice to have options. They have a full bar and a decent wine list. I actually decided to enjoy of a glass of Da Vinci Chianti (rare for me to drink wine being a bourbon guy). My dinner for the evening started with the Beef Carpaccio, simply based on the recommendation of our bartender. He was very convincing that it was well worth the try. And he was right. Portion was perfect and came with olive oil, balsamic, pine nuts, etc. Made perfectly! I then had the Steak & Gorgonzola Gnocchi which was very good. If there was one critique form the evening it wold be that the Gorgonzola flavor was subtle, if barely any. Would like a wee bit more of that pungency. That being said, it was still a very good offering. Finished off with Tiramisu (how can you now when eating at an Italian place?). Nice variation, smooth, creamy, hint of that booziness we all like. Very good. We all shared in some of the other starts. Arancinis are made with a wild mushroom risotto and really packs a nice woodsy flavor twist. The Mussels are plentiful and seasoned perfectly. The Zucchini Frites are addicting! And my other half couldn't pass up the pork belly burnt ends from the Chapter 11 menu...ummm those things should be illegal! wow! Other entrees ordered included the Shrimp Fra Diavolo which was spicy and nice. The Creamy Parmesan Pasta dish was every bit of that...creamy and great parm flavor. 83 of us had the steak & Gorgonzola gnocchi, so yo know it was good all around. We also had an opportunity to meet (briefly as they checked in on us) the owner and upper management. Nice people. Overall, we have to say this was a very good dining experience and we will certainly be back to try more of the menu. We hear that breakfast is pretty good too! Thank you and nice job! Stopped for brunch today and was equally impressed. Good live music too. Those Deviled Eggs are outrageously good!!!
This place is SO GOOD! The Brussels sprouts are to die for 😋 we also got brisket, jalepeno and cheddar sausage, Mac and cheese, and jalepeno poppers which was great as well. Everything was awesome and our server Maggie was amazing!
Great experience. Excellent food and friendly attentive staff. This was our first visit so they answered any questions and gave recommendations. Service was quick. They also made sure that we were satisfied with our choices throughout the meal
Brick’s Smoke Meat Restaurant is an absolute gem! The espresso martini was delicious. Perfectly balanced and a great start to the meal. I ordered the Meat & Meat platter, which was an amazing choice. The portions were generous, the meats were tender and flavorful, and the two sides paired perfectly. The corn muffin was the perfect finishing touch. Everything was fresh, tasty, and served with great hospitality. I highly recommend Brick’s Smoke Meat Restaurant to anyone looking for a fantastic meal!

This was our first but not last time trying this place out. The service was a bit slow, but the food was worth it. The deviled eggs and the bacon burnt ends are a must! The food was good and pretty well priced. The mixed drinks weren’t anything special, just ok, but a couple nice local beer selections that were good. Overall a cool place and we will definitely be back. Thinking about getting a small group together and using one of their private spaces with some games.
Great service! Our waitress Christine was super nice! My husband loves BBQ and the food did not disappoint! He had the 1/4 two meats and ordered the sausage and brisket. The brisket was moist and nicely smoked. The atmosphere was inviting, they have foosball, cup pong, shuffle board and a pool table in their game area. The games are free to play. If we had this place back home, it would definitely be one of our go-to restaurants.
Super nice atmosphere and great service. Our server, Kyle, was very attentive and provided excellent service. The food was very delicious and filling for the price. The portion sizes were perfect and we enjoyed the mini desserts. The staff was amazing and friendly and we had an amazing meal here. We WILL be coming back.

My family has always loved going here for special occasions and this time was my son's 30th birthday. He has taken me here for Father's Day and my birthday and other things. And we've always enjoyed it. This location has added free games, such as, pool, foosball, cornhole, shuffleboard, as well as a few more. This location offers a fun environment and a great lineup on their menu. Try items such as their brisket, you can get it either moist or lean, their ribs are to die for, they have a good children's menu, they have smoked sausage, meatloaf, and my new favorite, the brisket grilled cheese! You owe it to yourself to try this at least once. It's not Texas De Brazil, but it's much more reasonably priced. You can expect to spend between $20 - $30 per person or as much as $40. Where you may walk away incredibly stuffed, it is not all you can eat.
This is a local chain restaurant located in the Brandon Mall. And I must say that I’m pleasantly surprised by this. The restaurant is larger on the inside and features a pool bar, two bars, and even a mini-golf machine. The service is good and can be entertaining and knowledgeable. The food itself is pretty good. There’s a lot of spices in the food, especially with the amount of spices. I noticed a hint of jalapeño in the cornbread and ribs. I also liked the pimento Mac and cheese, but it’s nothing extraordinary. Overall, would recommend but there’s better options nearby.
It's an Italian chophouse with a BBQ twist. There was a Chapter 11 Brew Pub that shared the same space when it first opened. I believe they kept the same menu, and rebranded it as the Taproom. Either way, I was happy to see that you can mix and match from both menus. We arrived for lunch on a weekday when it wasn't too busy. The service was great from beginning to end. It's a great atmosphere with beer taps and games along the taproom side. It looks like they have a karaoke room as well. The Chophouse side is tastefully decorated, yet unpretentious. There's comfortable booth seating and many tables set up for evening dining. It's an open kitchen layout. The menus have a lot to offer. We started with the Zucchini Frites that was served with a delicious aioli. It was a light & fresh appetizer that we enjoyed very much. The Skirt Steak was tender. The chimichurri was more an Italian version with capers. It was different and unusual. The broccolini was slightly overcooked, but it was seasoned well. Overall, everything was good. My husband really liked The USDA Prime Brisket, which comes with 2 sides and a jalapeño corn muffin. The mac & cheese was very cheesy. The brisket had a great smoke flavor, and it was very tender. I definitely want to try their Burnt Ends appetizer after trying that brisket. Their homemade BBQ sauce was also a big hit. The poblano slaw and muffin were both okay. I'd get this entrée for myself, but I'd get the street corn with the kickin collard greens for my sides in place of the slaw. We'll definitely return again. The prices are what you expect from a chophouse style restaurant. Just expect to pay a little more for the smokehouse meats. The brisket platter is their house specialty. Oh, and don't forget to ask for their BBQ sauce.

Structure quality, decor and vibe were great. This is what drew us in. But, this is a restaurant and we came here to eat which was a disappointment. The food was awkwardly plated and the pastas that were served in bowls were swimming in water and lacked flavor. Also, the artichoke and cheese dip offered a stingy portion and the toasted bread pieces were tooth crackin' hard. Bit much. Lastly, asked for salt try and make the pasta taste like something? Couldn't even get that out my table and not a manager in sight to check on our experience. Nearly a $100 bucks for 3 pasta dishes and one app? Meh. Sad because we really liked the look and feel of the restaurant and the staff seemed nice enough. Maybe we will come back and try a steak?
Walked past this place a handful of times and it always made my mouth water. After looking at the recent reviews my wife and I decided to give it a try. It was probably one of if not the worst dine-in experience we’ve ever had. For drinks I got a root beer and she asked for a Dr Pepper and water, the waiter forgot the water and we had to ask for it. We got the smoked wings with dry rub for an appetizer. They were good, nothing stellar. For entree we both got the Brisket Grilled Cheese, wife got Mac n cheese for a side, I requested no sides because I knew I was going to be full. I also got the buffalo chicken grilled cheese as well. My Brisket Grilled Cheese came with no bbq sauce, the cheese was already cold and hard. The wife’s came with BBQ sauce, but again the cheese was already cold and hard. Her Mac n cheese came on a skillet that was cold and the Mac was barely luke warm. Overall it was just wasn’t a pleasant experience. Nothing really stood out or was amazing, we definitely do not plan on coming back anytime in the near future.
So I was back in town for a week and I kept seeing this beautiful looking restaurant every time I walked passed and I thought I really need to try it. Well I did yesterday and what a let down. Upon walking in this place is beautiful. It has two separate spaces that connect. Two large bars and just a overall beautiful space. As I set down there are two menus that were already there and both were different so a nice selection for everyone. So it took about 5 minutes for the bartender to greet me and it was not busy. 5 to 7 at the bar. When she greeted me she comes up and was like hey Boy. I was like what? Come on now that is not what you do. So I had a glass of wine and then a order of the dry rub chicken wings. The wings were so dry and over cooked. The rub on them was good and I was looking forward to trying a few more items but the blonde bartender that I had never came and checked on me again and she was more worried about getting out and changing the bar over the. Taking care of her customers. So when the new bartender came up I just cashed out. What a disappointment. I guess it is worth a try if you are in the mall but we will not go back
