Best pollo loco in all los angeles and orange county. Very fast service, very clean, friendly employees and in less than 3 minutes you have your plate ready . Great place

I placed a catering order to serve 20. The food was delicious and there was plenty of it. Everything in the order was correct and the service was good. There is room for improvement as I was unable to confirm my order by phone on the day it was to be picked up. They were understaffed and did not answer the phone - I resorted to stopping by in person a few hours before pickup to make sure the order would be ready. Very friendly staff working hard.
I always always always love El Pollo Loco this particular one there a green salsa is a little on the liquidy side but their service and employees have been here for years and they usually remember who you are and are so nice and friendly. I always have a good experience coming to this location and their food is always on point!❤
Our party of six had a delicious lunch today. I had the Double Chicken Avocado Salad, with Cilantro Dressing. It was delicious, filling, and only 380 calories. For those who avoid any hint of spiciness, ask for no Pico de Gallo on your salad. The clerk thought their Pico de Gallo contained just chopped tomatoes, onions, and cilantro, but there were tiny bits of jalapeno in there, too (which I picked out, once I detected the jalapeno taste).
Very clean, great costumer service, friendly employees, great food. I have left my local restaurant and come to the Brea location because is way cleaner. The eating area is very clean and so are the restrooms. This location is all the opposite to the one at Yorba Linda Blvd and Imperial.
Chicken so delicious. Portions generous, shared 4 piece meal with friend and both full after meal. Soda well drinks, cherry coke, root beer was the bomb. Brought back memories. Booths and table seating. Very clean. Staff friendly and cheerful. I would highly recommend this El Pollo Loco gladly. Make healthy choices. $$ 😁👍
Good drive-through, went through pretty fast. The service was good, had covid protocols in place. Had the taco al carbon and they were generous in their portions. This Pollo Loco is particularly good. Most of their food items are tasty. Good chicken/Mexican food place.

There was a line coming in, I decided to wait and I'm glad I did... I was welcomed by a huge smile from behind the register. There were a few employees who are special needs... I mean this with no disrespect... They were so polite, came to my table asking if I needed anything, seeing I had no napkins he asked if he could get them for me... These are people really happy doing what they were doing... If seeing them in action didn't warm your heart... You're not human... Thank You EPL for hiring these great adults who do what most of us would hate with a truly genuine smile and a grateful heart... I will come back at least once a week to support this establishment... The food was good, watching then was a true joy!!!
Love their food. Burria burrito is delicious. Beef is cooked just right. I also love their double chicken tostata bowl. Their 2/3 piece meals are good also. Sides with them are always good. Great food for a good value.
It’s chicken with style. I did the drive through that moved along pretty quickly. I order the 8piece keg and thigh dinner with rice and beans for three adults and we even had enough leftovers for lunch the next day at the beach. The chicken pieces were a good size and perfectly cooked. I love the crispy seasoned skin that make it so tasty. Definitely a good tasty affordable dinner, especially when you have a coupon.

Chipotle Chicken Avocado Burrito is pretty good, imo. Sometimes the craving hits & have to go get one! 😋 Atmosphere is typical fast food, but condiment bar is a nice touch many places lack.. tbh though, I'm usually a drive-thru customer.

Chicken is chicken, Dad always used to say, and this is...chicken. Still, citrus-marinated and flame-grilled is a pretty good way to enjoy it. Tortillas are okay, and the beans and rice are good. Use the salsa sparingly, as it was formulated by someone who mistook heat for flavor, so too much will overpower the more subtle flavors you might want to enjoy. All in all, not bad chicken, and even the salads are good.
We got the family meal (8 piece). The tortillas were awesome, as well as the chicken. I wish the salad came with dressing and the meal came with salsa or sour cream. We went through the drive through and maybe they have them inside?

I like there salads but the last time I was there they had coupons on their avocado salad & avocado protein bowls and were out of avocado. They didn't offer to substitute anything or take any money off.

Unfortunately, this location is not always the cleanest... they need to pay more attention to keeping their tables and beverage area cleaner. However, that being said their staff are very friendly.

Incomplete order. Went inside to speed up ordering, but had to wait 10 minutes before my order was taken. 1 person ahead of me but stopped taking all counter orders so they could fill drive thru and existing orders. Took 40 minutes total to finally get order and go.
Chips were so stale. Birria tacos greasy and way overpriced. Guest didn’t eat them. Avocado chicken salad chicken was extremely dry and tasted old. 2nd bad experience in a row.
i decided to come inside to this location because the drive thru was backed up with well over 6+ cars. i came inside and there was a line waiting for food as well. i got my order taken but it seemed like their cashier was having trouble with the computer system while taking my order. they took a little longer than i expected preparing my food to come out. this location is just a bit slower than others.
Ok, so the food is great! The service was good but a guy was screaming at the young kid at the register saying terrible things and you could tell he was trying to hold it together yet no one stepped in. He was frustrated and being screamed at, it wasn't until he cracked and started saying something back that someone stepped in. I feel it's bad service to watch an employee being bullied like that and also, I feel management should have taken over a lot quicker and told that gentleman to leave if he was going to speak to workers that way.
Good chicken, but they always forget something. Today it was the tortillas. Their inability to get an order right is why we usually go to Arbys. Seriously El Pollo Loco management, how about having your staff use a checklist? Because this happens every. Single. TIME!
The drive thru forgot my drink. Then the staff inside lost my receipt when I came in to get my drink. The tacos had a lot of burnt chicken in them. I asked for two avocado salsas and only got one. Details are important
I ordered a child's 2 piece chicken with rice as the side. The rice was dry and a little bit crunchy on the ends. The chicken was a little bit overcooked so that some of it was stuck to the skin so it went to waste. One of the packs of tortillas was missing a tortilla. 3 problems in one order is pretty bad!
Very nice staff but they are always out of bottled water or soda, even at lunch time. Staff said it's beyond their control . This happens about 2-3x a week . This is the only restaurant of any kind that I know of that doesn't have enough drinks on a daily basis.

This place never has chicken its alway an 1/2 hour wait even they drive thru. The salsa bar is dirty and empty I been there so many times and everytime it's the same thing. So I no longer go there..
I love El Pollo Loco but this is consistently the most poorly managed locations of all time. Somehow they always struggle with managing the demand and run out of chicken. Often.
Has anyone noticed how small the chicken is now? Still tasty but about half the size of a $4.99 Costco chicken. Tried to swap out the legs for thighs but they refused. Basically it's impossible to reheat the legs because they are tiny and get completely dried out.
Food seems to be getting less in quantity and quality. I am now searching for other places to get tacos and burrito. I'm disappointed because I love pollo loco but food quality has declined and prices went higher. Not happy with my last 4 experiences.
They were out of basic menu items, mixed up the individual orders, made substitutions without asking if it was Ok. Staff was fine, DoD was OK, the place was clean, but the management of this location is still just under-powered. At least they had chicken, this time.
Food was great, and the cashier was very patient and nice But the kitchen staff is not on top of it. I placed a mobile order. Showed up on time, but it wasn't ready yet. I was next on the order screen in the kitchen. But I kept seeing druve though order after drive through order go out. My order stayed put. I finally saw them put my order together and bag it up 30 minutes later, then they left it there and walked away. When theu finally gave it to me, I had already gotten home before j realized they didn't bag my sides. Feel bad for the cashier who said it was her first day. No one was helping her man front of house. She was alone, and through all the upset customers, remained nice, courteous, and attentive. Wasn't her fault.
I love pollo loco its good food and i was very surprised how the chicken i received in my salad was dry i mean very dry to wear you bit on it and its like cardboard. was on my lunch, was not going to go back and exchange this i only have 30min lunch break. I will give this another try again, and do a follow up rating but for now its a 2.
This used to be my favorite location to stop at, but they forget the dressing and usually the chips almost every time now..and always seem overwhelmed even with only a few customers. Not sure what changed 😕

The service staff was unhelpful when ordering and couldn’t answer questions on pricing to make it a combo. He referred me to use the kiosk to order and check pricing. The cilantro dressing isn’t enough for the tostada so I’ve asked for one more and was informed that it would cost an additional 60 cents. I’ve spent $15.50 on my meal already. With this amount there are many restaurants that serve better foods and provide better customer service. The horchata drink machine ran out so I couldn’t get the drink I came for. The restaurant was cleaned, well lit and played nice music. The customer service was lacking and the cost of foods were high. I would not come back to this El Pollo Loco in Brea until they train their employees to better serve their customers. David Young Restaurant Enthusiast

Over cooked chicken. Not so friendly staff. It would be priced right if the food had been cooked right. It's a shame as this is basically healthy food. Just disappointing.

I love El Pollo Loco.....but this particular franchise is the worst one I have ever been too. They screw my order up on a regular basis. I am thinking about driving 5 miles out of my way each time to go eat at another one even though this one is 30 seconds or less from my house.
A GIANT cockroach crawled across the floor! I was 😱 screaming and no one would come to help. Finally a young man came with napkins to snatch it up. I heard an employee tell my cousin that they have a problem and have called an exterminator. P.S. GIANT is not an exaggeration, it had to be over two inches long and at least three quarters of an inch wide!
Hate this place! They never have the option of just leg and thigh. Always tell me they are running out of leg and thigh, and will need to give me mix.. even when i ask for 8 piece or 4 piece...they still cant just give me the leg and thigh...annoying! If you know its in demand...have more of legs and thigh ready!
Took forever to take my order, after they did, took to long to get my food , place had like 3 to 4 people only, place was dirty, no salsa as seen on picture I asked to be refilled and they said a coworker forgot to make it last night so no more salsa for the rest of the day, after I was sitting down eating I saw Leilani came out to clean a table OMG!!!! Her pants are totally dirty I wish I could take a picture not very nice to see that that tells me manager don't care about c their employees to have clean uniforms bad for businnes not a good sign. Why this place has always issues I come often almost everyday since I work next door . Bad management.
DIne in visit. Long line at the counter. Only one lady working up front. Service was very rushed. No napkins, condiments available except when requested. Dining room A/C was not turned on on a HOT day. Very stuffy in there. Usual background music was turned off. Disappointing visit. Probably won't be back.
Ordered a 8pc family mean, we were not given forks and napkins. 3 out of 4 salsa were totally soured! Called the store to speak to the manager, the manager never picked up after 25 rings!
This location used to be good. It’s going downhill, they forget condiments and when you ask for the salad dressing you get attitude. Something changed or management changed recently. The workers don’t really care for the job anymore
Girl in the drive thru speaker sounded like she absolutely hated being there. Didn't seem to care too much. And would you know it, I had to go back inside to get something she missed. Expected bad and got bad 👎
Cannot take direction given them multiple try’s and they simple make the order the way the want. When I say no sour cream it should be simple but they never do it. Management should looks at this and take into account staff is not following order. I guess poor social sentiment is what your after.

I visted little after 5pm. Don't know chickens are how long in warmer, terribly dry. Rice is too salty, salsa stacked without container lid. First time disappointed ever since I visited pollo loco.
I've given this location several attempts but after tonight I'm done. Will drive the extra distance to go to the one in Yorba Linda. In the past the problem has been ordering curbside and having to sit around for 5 or 10 minutes before finally having to go in to get my order but the last few times I've gone there that's improved. This time I did curbside it brought my food out in a timely manner but had the back tied so tight I had to cut it open with scissors when I got home only to find out that they didn't include the dressing for my wife's salad so I had to drive all the way back to the store to get her the dressing and when I told the associate that they left it out of the bag she opened the refrigerator handed to me and turned around and said nothing. No I'm sorry or oh my gosh nothing just handed to me and went back to her business. Don't waste your time going to this location as their customer service is terrible!
My wife and I have been wanting to give this el polo Loco a try again since our last experience was not a good one ( dry overcooked chicken ) I guess somethings never change. Chicken was extremely dry and burnt on outer corner. I guess I will have to continue to drive down to the el polo Loco on Anaheim and ball road. They know how to cook chicken.
DO NOT EAT at THIS location. I visited the restaurant at 6:30 p.m. on a Sunday evening. Wanted to buy a 3 piece combo with breast and wing. Was told they are out of breast and it would be 1 hour to order a breast. This location is a terrible. This is the 4th time over the past two years I have gotten the same response. They intentionally run out of breast and do not prepare more as the evening draws on. When I asked for the managers phone number I was told NO. I could come in to speak to a person named Cha. AVOID THIS RESTAURANT they are not a good operation.
It's been a while since we bought Pollo Loco and my wife and I were hungry for their delicious chicken, rice and beans. I drove through the drive thru ordering an 8 piece chicken meal. I ordered rice and beans only to be told they didn't have any beans. I proceeded to substitute with macaroni and cheese. I received my order and when arriving home they gave me macaroni and cheese and corn, I guess it was going to be one of those days. As I served the chicken I found myself selecting from burned wings and tasteless chicken. I guess I won't be back soon.
Usually when I come to this location everything is good. Today when I came here it was another story, we went thru the drive thru and the order came with chips and a side salad. We didn't get the side salad and the chips were soggy and gross, almost like they had gotten wet on some spots and a few were so salty. It's pretty sad when some workers either don't know the menu or don't know how to read.
I love this location and staff is usually friendly. However, they close earlier than the hours posted and there is no way to know until you arrive and see everything dark. Management should amend the hours publicly, so people know not to visit. It’s frustrating to plan a trip here, only to see the place closed during the hours Google Maps and Yelp say it is open. I don’t know if the El Apollo App reflects the new times.
We arrived at El Pollo Loco, store # 5767, on Imperial and Kramer, expecting a great meal and service. What we received was dried chichen, no avocados on our Classic Tostada as requested. We decided to eat in. When we were called to collect our food, we found the bottom of our trays dirty, the tables dirty, and food on our chairs. We asked for napkins to clean our table and chairs. The cashier looked at us funny and told us we would get our napkins when our food arrived. Finally, we got our napkins and proceeded to clean our area up.. We have decided not to come to this place again, especially after we saw the staff gossiping and not working. We will not recommend this place to anyone.
Giving you guys a 1 star rating again. Again I ordered the chicken avacado burrito and they made it very small! It is usually a big burrito. I was told the first time that it happened that they are different sized all the time. Lies. You guys gave me the same tiny burrito you did last time. So obviously you're doing this on purpose. Stinky restaurant. As soon as you enter, the bathroom smells of feces. Horrible. I wanted to leave, but my boyfriend ordered. I didn't order anything because I thought the place was unsanitary. Worse, I had to use the bathroom. It wasn't just dirty from the day itself, but dirty to the point of having crusts on the sink, the faucet, and everything. Much worse than a street bathroom. And my goodness, what a stinky bathroom, I even lost my appetite.🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢
Once again they don't have white meat chicken. I placed my order on the app for pickup. Was called and told they were out of white meat chicken and they could put thigh meat on my double chicken tostada salad and my pollo bowl I paid extra for white meat. I declined and asked for a refund for my order which had other items. Was told they would cancel my order and issue a refund. Well I am still waiting for my refund. Now I have to reach out to my credit card company for a refund since it has been 5 days. They told me I should have it within 3 days. It was a very disappointing visit today. I ordered the chicken, it was dry and burnt. I went back to ask for it to be replaced and I saw the employees bickering about me refusing to eat black dry chicken. The restaurant needed cleaning and it wasn’t a pleasant atmosphere to eat in.
Second time here. Unpleasant, unprofessional staff. Get your act together. 3rd time occurrence. Unfortunately the same result. Skip this location.
I went to Drive Thru and my app wasn't open up for ordering and then at the window my app was opened so I realized I had a free churros staff says she can't give to me. Has to be at the order in first place. So rude, so lack of kindness. Always same attitude same atmosphere . Her name was Deisy B. She had a same attitude all the time. When I asked her some condiment she ignored.
If your job involves serving the public, you absolutely must do two things: 1. Let them know that you see them. 2. Tell them when they will be helped, even if you are very very busy. What you don't do is TOTALLY IGNORE THEM. I went to to this restaurant hoping for a peaceful, reasonably priced meal. Instead I got frustration with a side of sarcasm from the staff. I waited several minutes for anyone to even acknowledge me before I spoke up. That's when the real fun began. The employee argued with me instead of telling me when I could place my order. I walked out. I happily paid more at another restaurant for fast and friendly service. I know these times are challenging and it's hard to keep fully staffed, but do not open your dining room if you cannot provide a reasonable level of courtesy and service for your customers. Part 2 - Frustration and Annoyance I got an automated response from Pollo Loco: "We want to make this right." Let's just say...I'm not convinced. There was a link that led to a " Contract Us" page that didn't work. Also automated responses are not a terribly sincere form of communication. Guys, just give it up. I can read between the lines.

Stinky restaurant. As soon as you enter, the bathroom smells of feces. Horrible. I wanted to leave, but my boyfriend ordered. I didn't order anything because I thought the place was unsanitary. Worse, I had to use the bathroom. It wasn't just dirty from the day itself, but dirty to the point of having crusts on the sink, the faucet, and everything. Much worse than a street bathroom. And my goodness, what a stinky bathroom, I even lost my appetite.🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢
Once again they don't have white meat chicken. I placed my order on the app for pickup. Was called and told they were out of white meat chicken and they could put thigh meat on my double chicken tostada salad and my pollo bowl I paid extra for white meat. I declined and asked for a refund for my order which had other items. Was told they would cancel my order and issue a refund. Well I am still waiting for my refund. I've given this location several attempts but after tonight I'm done. Will drive the extra distance to go to the one in Yorba Linda. In the past the problem has been ordering curbside and having to sit around for 5 or 10 minutes before finally having to go in to get my order but the last few times I've gone there that's improved. This time I did curbside it brought my food out in a timely manner but had the back tied so tight I had to cut it open with scissors when I got home only to find out that they didn't include the dressing for my wife's salad so I had to drive all the way back to the store to get her the dressing and when I told the associate that they left it out of the bag she opened the refrigerator handed to me and turned around and said nothing. No I'm sorry or oh my gosh nothing just handed to me and went back to her business. Don't waste your time going to this location as their customer service is terrible!
