They hook it up! Japanese food is one of my favorites, I ordered take out Lunch special chicken teriyaki. Came in a huge plate with fresh salad on the side , I like the fact that they don’t just use cheap ice burg salad like other places do. Miso soup on the side. First time trying this and I’ll be back! God bless!
Irasshai! Front staff shouts this warm "welcome" in Japanese as they lead you to your seat and the rest of the crew joins in. I enjoy the food, fresh ingredients, friendly and efficient service and atmosphere (except for the deteriorated restroom...it was nicer before). I like the giant gold accented wall mural. Personal menu favorites are the expertly crafted chirashi bowl and salmon poke bowl, and combo dishes with chicken and grilled salmon. Flavored iced teas and hot green tea hit the spot. Green tea ice cream seems extra creamy and good. Itadakimasu! Let's eat!
This was my first time trying this place and honestly it was very worth it. Me and my boyfriend were on a double date with his sister and dine outside, the tables and area in general were very clean. The staff attentive and friendly, the sushi rolls delicious and good looking. We tried the Lava Roll, Alaskan Roll and Kabuki Roll. Definitely marking this place as a must go whenever we are in Brea.
5 star food, quality, price, service. The sushi is fresh and it is a place like the places in San Diego just Fresh and Bomb and the price matches the quality and you get a lot of food. Best Ever!!!! Happy Hour every day!!
Plenty of superb options, fresh ingredients, and quality service. Highly recommend coming during happy hour!

I always have excellent food and excellent service when I dine here, the location in Brea has a nice outdoor patio
Seriously delicious eats at supremely great prices. Wish we had Kabuki up in the Bay Area! If you love a good cocktail with your Asian fusion, this is the place. 🍹🍱! So good, we got some sushi for the road!
This is one of the better Kabuki locations I’ve visited. I love that the patio is covered and heated it made for a very comfortable dining experience. Their happy hours are amazing, especially on the weekends. We were able to order multiple rolls, entrées, and drinks for the whole family at a price that truly couldn’t be beat. The service was impeccable, a real team effort from start to finish. This spot has definitely become our new go-to for Japanese food. Honestly, I hate to recommend it because I’d love to keep it to ourselves, but it’s too good not to share. Highly recommend!
The food are fresh and delicious, nice place to hang out with friends and family
This was a early dinner stop on the way to a show for 4 of us. Service was quick. Sushi options were flavorful and delicious, not just the standard rolls. They had seasonal ginger specials that were also amazing. The Kabuki Old Fashion was exceptional. We paid less than $200 for 4 sushi rolls and sashimi, 2 entree plates, appetizers and drinks.
Searching for a place near Brea mall with a good experience and happened upon this place! The experience was really great overall with a nice interior and great staff! The food was absolutely delicious! It was the best vegetable fried rice that I had ever had, and for a great price and good portions! We also tried the sake, which I understand the desire but was not for me! Also ordered a mixed drink that was delicious! Great place definitely worth the time and money.
Obviously, this is one of my kid’s favorite Sushi places. When ever we’re around this area, this place is the only restaurant my kid prefers. The Sushi is fresh with great quality, especially, we love the Sashimi so so so much, Simon Salmon is so fresh, the sweet shrimp is so juicy with the fried shrimp head. And the Sashimi bowl also very yummy. What is really surprising me is the seafood spicy noodles, my kid even finished the whole noodles. Lol. Highly recommend!
Kabuki Sushi is perfect for a convenient lunch. The quality of the sashimi is excellent for the price, and the atmosphere is great. The restaurant is clean overall, and the servers are very friendly.
Food is fresh and tasted amazing. I especially loved the salad and tempura vegetables. Pictured is the ninja and samurai deluxe lunch special. Normally it come with miso soup but they were out that day so we had double rice. A bit pricey 4 plates came out to $72 but it was worth it.
Kabuki is out of this world!! It’s my new favorite sushi restaurant on mainland. Everytime I go the cut of fish is perfect and the quality of sushi and the rolls are amazing. Wonderful flavors put together in creative styled rolls by chef, and their appetizers are just as good! Highly recommend 👍🏻
I will say, they have an amazing playlist lol. Food was very delicious! Drinks were strong and refreshing. We ordered rolls and their kimchi fried rice. We really enjoyed it, customer service was excellent! I believe her name was Carolyn, such a sweet gal. The Kabuki Roll was our absolute favorite 🤩
Decent sushi restaurant. It is a bit pricey compared to other local sushi/roll restaurants, but the lunch price is reasonable. I ordered Kaisen don for lunch and it was surprisingly delicious.

The food was delicious, the service was attentive and the atmosphere couldnt have been any better. There was this young beautiful woman sitting across the table from me that spoke with confidence and radiated the most beautiful glow of genuine kindness and sincerity. Thank you for a lovely dinner.

Applause to the staff here. They were super attentive and thoughtful. This is the first time I've been to Kabuki. Food was good, prices were reasonable, and the service was great. The fried ice cream was a highlight.
Their lunch menu offers a variety selections and it offers daily. The quality of sashimi is not the best but value for the money. Nothing impressive overall.
Yes it's a bit overpriced, it's a chain, it's loud in there, but the food's actually pretty good! Kabuki is a great restaurant for those birthday occasions because there's something for everybody, including people who are leery of sushi. Everybody has at least one in the family. For them, there are plenty of cooked options; teriyaki, tempura, noodle dishes, etc. I would never say it's the best of its kind, but pretty much anything Kabuki has on the menu is a good bet, a solid four out of five stars -- even the sushi. In fact, the sushi is pretty close to five stars because they have some outstanding rolls (see the photo of the Hamachi Sake roll). Kabuki also does boast some nice customer service points. They really are trying hard, not perfect, but then, nobody is. I thought it was a nice touch that they gave a free scoop of ice cream to my companion when they brought him the wrong flavor. He was okay with just eating it anyway but they also brought out that extra free scoop in the correct flavor. Every Kabuki restaurant I've ever visited is nicely decorated and attractive, the ideal spot for casual, celebratory gatherings. A good time will probably be had by all.

Haven't been back to this place for a long time. Got some wings and rolls. All taste delicious.
Food was average quality. Presented nicely but the freshness and quality of the fish was not better than average. Understaffed or felt so since our waiter also had to work the bar. When our waiter could come by we always had plenty to ask for (more water, napkins, ordering more). We were a larger group and celebrating a birthday and may have needed more help to get all orders down and to check in on the group to be sure everything was good. We did appreciate our waiters effort but they need more wait staff for sure. The atmosphere was alright since it was quite simple inside and the table wasa little sticky when we sat down. Parking was not too hard to find. Overall I think our experience was what we had expected of an average sushi chain restaurant. They do have plenty of cooked options and options for those who don't eat fish but if you're looking for quality raw fish, I would skip going to Kabuki.
As we ordered we asked for an extra glass of ice. We were already paying when they gave it, also because we requested it for the 10th time.
We go to kabuki a lot, usually Burbank , Pasadena or Cerritos and we love! But this location seems a bit off from service to food. The food isn’t made as well, I have to ask for all the sides and small plates for soy sauce, the seaweed in the rolls was super hard and chewy, the servers are in their own little world. It’s our second time here ant brea kabuki and I think it’s the last time.
1 Black cod is terrible, tail section.. thin dry strong tasting 2 rainbow roll pieces cut way too thick and again not fresh, strong taste 3 tempura shrimp cold, sponge texture not crisp 4 spicy tuna roll cut way too big and fishy The quality I've come to expect over the years of this place has really gone downhill my last order has been terrible

I went here today with my wife at 12pm. We ordered 2 meals. Food is ok, BUT the waiter never check on us. I raised my hand SO MANY TIMES to order dessert, there’s 1 guy who saw us but didnt approach. Other waiters were walking pass us but never come to check. So i just went in front and pay since we were also in a rush. They only have 5 tables and act so busy like they dont have time for my table. There’s no teamwork here, they only care about their own table. I also worked at restaurant and if other table need something i will still check on them and ill tell their waiter.
This is hands down the worst Japanese restaurant i ever had food from. $80 wasted the edamame the smallest I ever seen and cold, no salt on it at all. The sushi fish didn’t feel fresh, the tonkatsu pork horrible I had to throw the entire dish in the trash. Shrimp tempura $4 for one shrimp and the batter was yuck. The entire food lack seasoning.

I visited Kabuki today and left genuinely upset with how the staff handled a situation that should have been taken seriously. I waited a few minutes to be seated, which wasn’t an issue since they seemed short staffed. After sitting down, I ordered a water and a miso soup. When the server brought my order, he spilled the entire miso soup across the table and all over my jeans and shirt. Accidents happen, but what happened after is what really bothered me. There was no real apology, no acknowledgment of the soup on my clothes, and no manager ever checked in. I was simply handed a towel while they cleaned the table. That was the extent of the “response.” This wasn’t a small inconvenience. I was on my lunch break from work, and because my clothes were soaked with soup, I had to cross the street and buy a new outfit just to return to my job. That’s time and money out of my day because the situation wasn’t handled properly. Restaurants make mistakes, but most places step up immediately, apologize, involve a manager, and make sure the guest feels taken care of. None of that happened here. They comped one sushi roll but still charged me for the miso that ended up all over me and the other roll I ordered. The issue isn’t the bill. It’s the lack of basic hospitality, awareness, and responsibility from the staff. I’m sharing this because I hope the store and corporate take this seriously. This wasn’t handled professionally at all, and it shows a real gap in training. A sincere apology, a manager’s involvement, and some acknowledgment of the impact on my day would have gone a long way. Instead, I left feeling dismissed and frustrated.
