Plenty of parking, lots of stuff on the menu. Everything looks good. The tacos are good and tasty the carne asada fries is pretty good. The portions are good. Taste and flavor is really good. If your in the area and want mexican food check them out. Fast service was good. Nice staff. Pay with cash if you can.prices are higher if using a card.
Absolutely amazing tacos! Tacos Don Goyo is hands down one of the best places to grab a bite in town. From the first bite, I knew I was in for a treat - the meat was perfectly cooked, the tortillas were soft and warm, and the toppings were fresh and flavorful. But what really set this place apart was the exceptional service. The staff was friendly and welcoming, making my dining experience even better. I can't recommend this place enough - whether you're in the mood for a quick bite or a full meal, Tacos Don Goyo is definitely the place to go!
I highly recommend the best tacos in town, specifically the al pastor tacos, which are exceptional. The meat is remarkably juicy and tender, and the tortillas are handmade. I appreciate that they offer guacamole. I advise against ordering asada, as the meat tends to be tough and overcooked. However, if you're not a fan of Pastor, I recommend opting for chicken instead. We've visited both the Downey and Brea locations, and while the Brea location offers more parking, the Downey location is still a great option.
Amazing Tacos!!!!! Carne Asada was amazing and Al pastor was great. Salsas are really good and the red onions had an amazing flavor and super spicy!! It’s a completely different vibe inside from what it looks like
This place is a little more upscale than a hole in the wall taqueria. First thing that caught our eye was you can order top sirloin on your meats. I ordered a top sirloin asada taco and a carnitas taco. The asada taco was great, but the carnitas taco was just average. Both had guac included and the guac was good. I also ordered a side of beans since I enjoy a bean and cheese burrito from time to time and wanted to taste them in case I came back. They were very good and came with cheese on top. My husband had the asada nachos too sirloin. They were huge and for him were a 5. There were three salsas the orange one was super hot even for my husband who can take spice. This place is about 20mins out of the way for us, but we definitely will be coming back.
I was vacationing here, and I tried several different taco places. Tacos Don Goyo has THE BEST TACOS!! Their corn tortillas are warm, the carne meat is flavorful and tender, and their guacamole is perfect! Their salsa bar has a spicy radish and onion mix that is killer! Best place I ate at the entire week I was here. Stopped by again before heading to LAX.
Tacos Don Goyo is my all time favorite. I always get the mulita and queso taco. I’ve reviewed hundreds of Mexican restaurants and this one single handedly beats each and every one. Everything from the hand made tortilla, avocado salsa to the quality tasty meat is unbelievable. I’ve been going to the location in Downey since 2018. I can’t live without these tacos!!! Big shout out to the staff they’re are always so nice and hard working :)
This place is a gem. Tacos are so good. The guacamole is tasty and so fresh. We tried the Carne Asada and Al Pastor tacos. 10 out of 10.
A good variety of tacos. Some side orders. Tacos were delicious. Service was good. Good size, clean dining room.

Absolutely amazing food. I drive all the way from Orange for the tacos de lengua and carnitas. This is my go-to spot when friends and family visit from out-of-town. It has not disappointed. Also, the chile relleno burrito ( yes, that is not a typo) is damn good! Oh, and the Hibiscus (jamaica) drink is legit. Treat yourself and check out Tacos Don Goyo!
They have the best tacos in OC! I’m talking about real authentic Tijuana style tacos. Haven’t had taco like this ever since I left San Diego and I drive 20 + miles because it’s that good + worth it.
The papa loca was exceptional! No fat on the meat, super flavorful, & comes with 3 yummy corn tortillas! So good, its our favorite little taco spot!
This place is really good! Salsas are perfect spice, facilita was clean and restrooms were ok. Food a bit pricey but delicious
Small place tucked into a small medical building strip mall. I drive by here all the time. My husband showed me a video and we decided to try it out for the first time today. The inside is pretty small probably about 10 tables it's a walk-up counter but they do serve you quickly they have a variety of aguas frescas, Horchata, Mexican Coke, jarritos drinks and the usual other beverages. The menu has standard Mexican dishes their tacos with a variety of meats they have sopes, quesadillas, asada fries amongst other dishes. My husband and I each ordered tacos de cabeza , the tortillas are handmade, soft full of flavor. The meat is fresh not greasy like other places. The tacos come with onions, cilantro and a hefty scoop of fresh guacamole. They have a little salsa bar next to the counter with about three different types of salsas, pickled red onions, fresh lime and some cucumber and radishes. It reminded me of the tacos we had in Tijuana or the tacos I have when I go to Guadalajara in Mexico. We waited less than 10 minutes to get our food, it was very busy we got there at the right time and got the last table for two. I also got an agua de Pina but they also have the pepino which they were out of which is a good sign it must be very good. We plan on coming back and trying different meats like Al pastor lengua, chorizo, tripas and asada. The meal was very reasonable for our five tacos my agua fresca and tip it was about $25. Great little hidden gem in Brea of all places. We live down the street will be here many more times I think we found our favorite taco spot. Highly recommend if you haven't tried it
This place in an easy to miss strip mall in Brea. Often busy with people taking take out, it is worth a stop. I ordered a carnitas taco (5*), a carne asada taco (4*), and an al pastor taco (4*). My partner ordered the tripas burrito. It was giant. Well filled with meat, beans, and some rice. But a good balance. He said it was great. The tripas were well cooked and tasty. The salsa bar is great, offering three salsas, of various spiciness. The pickled onions are spicy and delicious. The radishes as always a welcome crunch of freshness. I will return.
Tortillas seemed like they were handmade and the meat was good
It’s a small place but looks clean, service to paid was fast, ladies are super nice and if you don’t drink soda or sweet drinks as I do they offer fresh water Iove this … the kitchen team works super fast with the orders.. they do have a salsa bar for your tacos and burritos or whatever you order but why lemons looks so OLD? 😆 I will come back soon because that day I was hungry but sick and I can’t really taste the food, but on what I saw that day with the service and ambiance looks a good place to eat tacos 🌮 I will be back and adjust this review … I pay less than 11 dlls for my 3 tacos, hand made tortilla and good size … Update: the meets are ok .. MUCH better than close places but not my favorite taste & thanks again for the salsa bar

The food was really good, and the customer service was great. During busy times the line moves slowly, so the wait can be long. Overall a decent experience, but I will probably order ahead next time.

I'm giving this a three star because of their recent price increase. There is absolutely no reason that you have to raise a taco from 3.25 to 3.50 and NOW 4 bucks! 4 bucks for a taco?! I'll make them at home. Literally, 4 tacos out the door with a drink is almost 25 bucks. Their robbing you when you can make this for cheaper at home. It's good, don't get me wrong, but with this recent price increase, I'm going to have to pass now.
Customer Service was good. Best thing to eat here is the Carne Asada Tacos and Quesadilla the chicken was too salty and the pork meat didn't taste good.

Price 2/5 increased in price recently other have complained about it (see receipt) Value 4/5 good portion size Taste 2/5 taco is overly wet and too salty . The beef head and beef tongue doesn’t have much flavor Probably not a taco place that I would consider going back

Check your bill! I would have been charged +$1 than what is listed on the electronic board! Prices on the screen do not match what you get charged, even if paying cash. There’s another recent review with the same experience. I love this place and frequent both La Puente and Brea locations. Burrito is listed at $12.50 but they charged me $13, which you'll see in the receipt is - $.50 bc I was going to pay in cash, so if I paid with my card it would be been $13.50! When I asked the worker who was described as the lead on duty, she said “It’s not my problem. I don’t have any say in this. I just do what I’m told,” and wouldn’t acknowledge this was a problem. I definitely will not be returning until address this. I'm guessing a majority of customers don't realize they're paying more than they think.

Called in placed 2 order orders and paid for them because staff said they won’t start working on them until it paid for and that there was a line. Upon my arrival one order was ready the other they hadn’t started because they didn’t know it had been paid for i here the front counter lady arguing with the cooks about it .Both order where decent sized so after waiting for the 2nd order to finally be ready . I asked them if i could please have an extra tostadas as i was sure they would be soggy by the time i arrived home they said no that i would have to pay for them. Long behold i get home and the 4 tostadas are completely soggy had to pick off the meat and guac to make my own tacos at home. Ridiculous that they would give me replacement tostada that probably cost them 10 cents to make for an issue that they caused
