Came here for the first time during the week for brunch and I was pleasantly surprised. The restaurant is so spacious, warm and inviting! Our server was super sweet and our drinks and food came out super quick. I highly recommend their simple breakfast and iced rose latte. Would definitely come back and try them out for lunch!
This was my first visit to fable for dinner I've eaten at toast which has been very good and now I tried the dinner and it to was very good service was very attentive and drinks were very tasty. I got the sun dried chicken sandwich and my wife got steak sandwich they were both outstanding. The happy hour price are reasonable and the portion are very good size.
Checked out Toast Kitchen & Bar in Brea—great food, disappointing service. The good: the food was really solid and priced well. Definitely the kind of place I’d come back to for the flavors alone. The not-so-good: service was seriously lacking. My espresso came in a regular coffee cup (minor, but odd). They completely messed up my order—salad was supposed to come with my entrée, plus an extra side. Instead, the side showed up with the entrée, and the salad came way later, totally out of sync. Not once did anyone refill our water or ask if we wanted more drinks. After we finished eating, we sat there for 30 minutes with zero follow-up. Eventually someone came by—not to check in, but to ask if we wanted the check. It’s frustrating when the kitchen delivers but the service doesn’t. There’s a lot to like here, but if they don’t tighten up the front-of-house experience, it’s hard to fully enjoy the visit.
What a great place for a networking group. Delicious food, big bar area, and plenty of seating. Located on a the corner so if you miss the entrance drive up,just go to 2nd driveway and go around.
My girls surprised me with a lovely birthday brunch at Toast, and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. We were seated immediately upon arrival, and our server was incredibly attentive. I ordered The Perfect Avocado, which lived up to its name, it was absolutely delicious with just the right amount of bacon. I paired it with a Strawberry Cucumber Basil Gimlet, and it was simply perfect. The girls enjoyed the Brunch Burger with a side of arugula salad and a Classic Chocolate Pancake. One of them tried the Flying Unicorn Tea Lemonade, and the presentation was adorable! Great food, reasonable pricing, and a wonderful atmosphere, I couldn’t have asked for a better birthday brunch. I’d definitely come back!
The food here is excellent, and the prices are very fair. The atmosphere is inviting and makes for a really enjoyable dining experience.
We decided to try this place and we are glad we came here. The hostess was very kind and the server immediately brought us nice cold water and asked if we wanted any drinks we both got their coffee ☕ which is lavazza dark roast. I really enjoyed the coffee. The food was absolutely delicious and we really enjoyed it and we will absolutely come back if in the area again.
I recently visited Toast Kitchen & Bar in Brea, and it was a great experience! I ordered the Classic Hamburger with added cheese and bacon, and it did not disappoint. The patty was juicy, the toppings were fresh, and the bacon added the perfect crunch. The flavors all came together beautifully, making it a solid choice for a satisfying meal. My friends tried the Eggs Benedict and the Denver Omelet, and they both really enjoyed their dishes. The Eggs Benedict had perfectly poached eggs with a rich hollandaise sauce, and the Denver Omelet was packed with ham, bell peppers, and cheese, making it a flavorful and hearty option. The service was friendly, and the overall atmosphere was warm and inviting. If you’re looking for a good brunch spot in Brea, Toast Kitchen & Bar is definitely worth checking out!
Stopped in for my post workout meal. Ordered The Perfect Avocado and a Bloody Mary. Atmosphere was clean & organized. Service was excellent. Multiple servers checked on me at the bar area. Most importantly, the food was amazing with my adult vitamin drink. Toast restaurant never fails me
Celebrated Father's Day here and everything was incredible! We didn't make a reservation (recommended) so we had to wait a half hour. Totally worth the wait tho. Service was excellent, food tasted amazing, and the atmosphere was perfect!!! Breakfast Burrito was a little pricey at $20 but it was the best bfast burrito I've had in a long long time. Crunch fries were delicious as were the hash browned potatoes. Omelette was very very yummy as was the strawberry and cream side. The french toast absolutely melted in my mouth. I would highly recommend this place and would definitely come back here again WITH a reservation next time!!!
Grabbed brunch with a girlfriend on a weekday at this location. Very spacious interior with plenty of seating, a nice modern and coastal vibe. There were a decent amount of people milling around but service was friendly and fast. Got the breakfast burger while my friend had the Turkey club. The sides were great—Caesar salad was fresh and flavorful, and the hash browns were more like crispy potato fry chips. We split the strawberry cheesecake French toast. The toast was kind of dry and overcooked and the cream filling was too sweet for my taste (more like icing). But still an indulgent treat. I think I’d try something else on the menu. Brunch was a little pricey but it was a ton of delicious food and a great dining experience overall. There’s a nearby park you can walk all the extra calories off lol. So splurge a bit!
Toast in Brea is a great spot for breakfast or brunch, and I’m so glad I finally got to try it. I met a girlfriend here for breakfast, and we had a really enjoyable time. The atmosphere is clean, inviting, and spacious—there’s plenty of room to sit and relax without feeling crowded. The menu has a little bit of everything, from classic breakfast dishes to Mexican-inspired plates, so it’s tough to choose. After some debate, I went with the country fried filet mignon, and it was absolutely delicious. The portion was huge, the filet mignon was cooked perfectly, and the breading was crispy without being too heavy. Definitely a dish to share if you’re not super hungry, but I’d happily order it again. I also tried the eggs Benedict, which were excellent—simple, fresh, and satisfying. Toast also has a nice selection of mimosas and breakfast cocktails, which is always a fun bonus. It’s a great spot to meet friends for a relaxed brunch. The staff were friendly and attentive, and everything came out hot and fresh. Overall, I really enjoyed my visit and would definitely come back the next time I’m in the area. If you’re in Brea and looking for a reliable breakfast or brunch option with a lot of variety, Toast is worth checking out.
I went on a Friday at noon, I reserved through Open Table just in case. I have never been here and to get in was somewhat of a challenge as there is construction on the other side of parking lot so you can only get in 1 entrance. There is plenty of parking. They have indoor as well as patio dining available. The restaurant is large and very clean and inviting. They let us know that many associates are newer and they are understaffed, which I appreciated. We were sat within 5 everything on the menu sounded delicious. I decided on the Mexican Mocha latte to drink, hot. It was delicious. My friend ordered the coconut orange jealous, it was very refreshing. For food we decided on the House French toast with hashbrown chips. The French toast was great, I didn't need to use any syrup as it was sweet enough. I would suggest the 1/2 serving unless you are sharing. The hashbrown chips were a little to small I thought, I felt like I needed to eat with a spoon. They were also too salty in my opinion. My friend ordered the Perfect avocado toast on sourdough with poached eggs and a side of country potatoes. She enjoyed hers as well. I noticed on Taco Tuesdays they tortillas are made fresh in house. We definitely will be back to enjoy more good eats. Our server was Dena, she was very nice and professional. The business was running smoothly, even though they mentioned being shirt staffed. I did not notice a delay in service or food.

Visited on Monday for brunch, so it was very slow. Server, Andrew, was very nice and attentive. Espresso martinis were good. The green juice cocktail was well made and delicious. Rib eye chilaquiles were really good--i liked the green more than the red and would split the plate next time. Wife's Denver omlette was good, hash brown chips addictive. 2 entrees, 3 cocktails, $105 plus tip........ on the pricey side, but we enjoyed it. Looking forward to going back with the kids to try the kids' menu. Cheers!

I got the filet mignon bearnaise Benedict and the Cali avocado toast. Food was great. The rose latte paired really well with oat milk. Enjoyed my brunch before a long road trip back home. Definitely food was very filling.

Great breakfast joint! Use the yelp check-in if you can. Thinking ahead really pays off as this place gets very busy on the weekends. I am really amazed at how this place changed and got so creative to stay afloat during the pandemic. From offering grocery essentials at price for the community during the crazy toilet paper-hoarding days (remember those) to offering free weekly COVID tests to their employees and community. My favorite was when they started offering free breakfast to school-age kids who depended on their school's meals to eat, when classes went virtual. This last one really touched my heart and brought awareness to an issue I didn't think about. From when it was called the Dylan to know Toast, I have seen this place gone through a lot. Owner shared the painful decision of having to let staff go due to restaurant closures, earlier in the pandemic, plumbing issues more than once, and just the hardships of being a business owner when you're told your business cannot allow costumers in. I am very happy to see that this place made it through it all. When I come for brunch on the weekends, I do not dread seeing all the people waiting outside. This place deserves all the success it has and more! Now for the food. I've really tried everything here, but my go-to is the chorizo omelette with a side of arugula salad. Their hash brown chips and shoulder beacon really sets this place apart from others. I've also indulged in their nonalcoholic drinks like orangejealous, basically coconut heaven! A must try. Wish they had this in an alcohol version. I've also tried their various teas and the lattes are really good. Chilaquiles with steak are big enough to share. The steak in steak and eggs is cooked to perfection. Chef really knows what he/she/they are doing. Son loves his usual maple bacon pancake because he always has enough to go. All egg Benedict's are delicious, and their burrito is the best around. Owner, if your reading this, please make the burrito available on the weekends, too. Some of us don't get weekdays off. If you're meeting with friends, I highly recommend getting the whole champagne bottle. They have many different juice flavors for your mimosas. Again, if you want a better experience and don't want to wait as long, consider making reservations or joining wait-list on Yelp. It will save you time!

Since they sub Just egg, vegan cheese, and vegan hollandaise sauce in any of their menu items, there are so many plants based options. The eggs Benedict was good but the Denver omelette was excellent. They have various sides and avocado toast to make a lovely brunch. Will go back!
Nice environment with good service. Kids got French Fried toast half size which is two pieces. the omelette is my favorite ( three eggs with veggies). Good brunch place to go.

The orange jealous juice was so delicious, coffee was regular but hot the steak eggs Benedict was made good but lacked a bit of seasoning on the steak itself. The crunchy hash brown chips were amazing. The bacon waffle was Devine. Pricing is high and portions a mediocre for what you pay but overall it was good. Service was alright.
I’ll start with an overall score: 8/10 Here’s why: 1. Service was fast and staff was friendly and accommodating 2. Most of the food was good, we went for brunch so it’s as good as breakfast/brunch goes 3. Knocking off some points because the steak was a bit too rare and unseasoned, but then again I started straying away from meat at the time so that’s my bias. 4. Food and drinks were honestly good, and the price for 5 adults and 2 kids was $180-$200 THAT is not bad. Prices are fair, food is pretty good, service was great.
Hate to say but this is a great atmosphere location but the food is lacking. Came for brunch. Ordered a good amount of food with 2 minor asks. The orders got messed up and those 2 asks went to the wrong food. The waiter fixed it but I dislike the food coming out at drastically different times. Maple Bacon waffle didn't taste very maple-ly. Regular waffle had no real flavor. Both 4.6/10. The potatoes had no flavor 2.8/10. The eggs were scrambled hard by default but also no flavor 4.9/10. The upside was the amount given. Bacon was dry but the best tasting at 5.4/10. The unicorn drink was not worth the hype or price. It's color changing non sweetened powder. It was mildly flavored water but not sweetened 1.3/10. Overall food 4.2/10. Location and atmosphere 7.4/10 (it does get loud with more ppl) and staff was 8.2/10.
My partner and I came here for Sunday brunch. We made reservations so we were seated quickly. After being seated it was very difficult to get the attention of our server. Once we were able to order, our food did not take long. It took around 30 minutes to get our check to leave. We did order a watermelon margarita that was one of the best drinks I have had. The flavors were perfectly balanced. We were recommended the Eggs Benedict by a friend. I am a big fan of the dish but both mine and my partners plates were very under seasoned. I found myself drowning the dish in salt and hot sauce. I was disappointed as this was something I was looking forward to. The prices are far for a brunch location but I would expect much better food for the prices and hype around this location. Overall I would not return.

The restaurant looked nice, and we only waited a few minutes to be seated—not a big deal. The problems started when the food arrived. The staff shouted out dish names and slammed the plates down while asking who ordered what. Not exactly a warm experience. As for the food? It was just okay. Everything lacked flavor, the ingredients tasted cheap, and the presentation was sloppy. It felt like no one cared about the quality, the appearance, or the overall dining experience. This was my first time here, and unfortunately, nothing stood out—in a good way. Not the food, not the service, not the vibe. Wouldn’t recommend.

A little disappointed in our experience with the restaurant. Heard it was a great place with a great atmosphere and unfortunately the rest of our experience that make up the rest of the dining experience fell short. Food was late, servers were snappy (especially the break server), and a side of eggs were so well cooked that it was hard to chew. I get that sometimes everyone has their bad days, but maybe there were too many people having bad days here all at the same time. I will give huge props to Alex the foodrunner (apparently there are multiple Alex's working here) who went above and beyond to make up for what was going on here. Aside from all that, I hope the restaurant can fix that for situations like this because this place has a ton of potential to be one of the best restaurants in the area. I would like to come back and have a better time.
Server was extremely friendly and had amazing service. Food tasted like buns. It had just opened and every. single. item. was cold. Even the country fried steak. Did you make it the night before? Atmosphere was very clean and enjoyable. Not worth 60 dollars.
