We were unsure what to expect so we decided to sit at the bar and order the happy hour cuisine. It was outstanding. The food was amazing, drinks as well, and the bartender knew everything about these dishes, the Breck back bowl slopes, and was excellent company. We will be back.

What an incredible experience. A small house with limited seating but an incredible atmosphere. Sammie, who was the bartender and helped serve, was so warm and welcoming, it just set the stage for a great night. Drinks were excellent, from Sam's Old Fashioned to the Pear-tini to the Smokey Paloma were great. For apps we tried the Duck Breast, the Tuna, and the Elk Filet. They were all incredible! For the mains we had the Boar Tomahawk, the Halibut, the chicken, and the Prime Beef Flatiron. Wow. The plates were cleaned! Nothing left to take home. Add on Choco Rootbeer Sticky Pudding and you are as full as you can get! Fantastic service, atmosphere and quality of food. We will be going back!

One of my favorite places to have dinner in Summit County. The flavors there are contemporary and a delight to have. Presentation is wonderful, like a work of art and the food is amazing. We had the 3 course dinner and it was well worth my money. I will go back anytime.

We enjoyed our anniversary dinner. The service was amazing, the food was delicious but the fact that they brought us a glass of Champagne and decorated the dessert plate just because it was our anniversary made it even more special to us! Thank you for going above and beyond!

We sat at the bar and ordered drinks/apps. Yhe bartender/GM was terrific and very friendly. We had some old fashioneds that were amazing. For food we tried the elk and duck appetizers. They were both more delicate portions but delicious.

Ember was so AMAZING I had to come back another night. This restaurant is a true dining experience, the service provided by Chase was phenomenal. He was so knowledgeable on all the menu items and able to help with my questions. The food is extremely flavorful and each dish is a true work of art. My favorite appetizer was the scallops, perfectly prepared. Although the soup is magnificent also. Moving on to the main course, I enjoyed 3 different entrees and if I had to choose a favorite I would go with the boar chop. The cod and beef dishes were also creative and delicious. We finished with the chocolate pudding dessert and key lime dessert, both super, but would probably get the chocolate pudding again if I went. We dined outside and at the bar. It has such a fun atmosphere. I absolutely love the dinning area, it is fancy, unique and eclectic. I can't wait to visit again. I promise you will enjoy your dinning experience here!

This was our first time at Ember, and we’re so happy to have tried it! The service was great, the food presentation is spectacular, and the taste definitely matches the presentation! Can’t wait to come back to Breckenridge and try Ember again!

We loved it! The food was phenomenal. The flavor combinations were inspired and interesting. We loved the way the chef was so creative to pull so many different flavors on a dish and have them compliment each other so well. Our waiter was attentive, knowledgeable, and very kind. He anticipated our wants and needs and also gave us something a little extra. My boyfriend and I made a last min decision to go to Ember after the Wine Festival last week and we had a wonderful time at Ember. Worth a wonderful evening out!

From the moment we walked in, it was clear this chef-owned restaurant is something special. Every detail—from the warm welcome to the perfectly paced courses—reflected a deep passion for hospitality and culinary mastery. Each dish was a work of art, beautifully plated and bursting with balanced, memorable flavors. You can taste the thought, creativity, and technique in every bite. The chef’s commitment to quality ingredients and innovative combinations shines through, elevating the meal far beyond standard fine dining. The service was flawless: attentive without being intrusive, knowledgeable, and genuinely enthusiastic about the menu. The ambiance was elegant yet comfortable, creating the perfect backdrop for an unforgettable evening. This is the kind of restaurant that reminds you how transformative a dining experience can be when the chef is personally invested in every detail. A true gem—worth every penny and deserving of every accolade. Highly recommended for anyone who appreciates exceptional food crafted with passion and precision. We cannot wait to return

Needless to say we enjoyed our meal and the bar seating was amazing. Casual dress code and amazing selections. I’m extremely picky about finding a properly cooked scallop and this place does it very well. I was pleasantly surprised and impressed by the texture of the scallops. Highly recommend that and the lamb. Yum yum yummy!

My husband and I choose to go Ember every year for our anniversary. We each go for the three course options and every single year every dish is incredible. Ember provides much more than the average restaurant experience- it is culinary art. The chef is outstanding and creates unique and delicious options each time we go. I've attached some pictures from our last two visits. Every server works their hardest to create a classy and immersive dining out experience. If you want to bring a new date on a unique dining experience or are just a foodie in general, this place will always be for you!

Went to Ember in Breckenridge for our anniversary. Great atmosphere for our anniversary- had the window seat. Our server was great. Good recommendations on wine, food and desserts. We did the three course dinner for a fixed price. The appetizers were delicious and very visually appealing. We both had the Wygu steaks that were amazing! Perfectly cooked for us. Best deal on steak in Breck for sure. We paid much more for steak at the Breckenridge Distillery. The steak was excellent at Breck distillery but not as good as these and Breck distillery cost us much more. We were full before dessert arrived so we shared the ice cream and took home the dessert tacos. Both were excellent! Highly recommend Ember restaurant

This chef owned restaurant is a true dining experience. The entire staff, from the young man deftly filling drinks and removing plates, to the professional wait staff able to answer any questions about the unique menu are truly amazing. The food itself is wonderfully fresh and are original creations. The wine list is extensive and has something for everyone. There are many original cocktail options and of course top shelf liquor. The restaurant itself is nestled into downtown with your choice of inside and outside dining. The desserts are delicious as well. Prices are appropriate and reasonable for this type of experience.

We went out for a fancy dinner for our wedding anniversary and this place was just what we were looking for. A casual vibe with incredible food and great service! The woman behind the bar was amazing. She was helpful and knowledgeable and super friendly. We will absolutely go back again!!

The team that took care of us was phenomenal! Max had the best drink suggestions, Ian and Jacob were fantastic servers, and the star of the show was the food! Chef Scott weaves a perfect blend of unexpected flavors that are more than capable of standing alone, but when combined create truly exquisite experience. You can taste the time and thought put into each dish. By far the top dinning location in Breckenridge.

Great service, unique food and it's great that it's chef owned. We sat outside and it had a nice view. The staff was informative and knowledgeable. The food was diverse in choice and the spicing /sauces was spot on. Great wine and cocktail choices as well :)

The food is beyond fantastic. Very small portions but an incredible alchemy of tastes and culinary presentation. Chuck, our waiter, was fantastic. An absolute expert in all the ingredients and styles of preparation. He also kept us in stitches. Chase was also helping to make the entire evening fantastic

Ha! Wow! Just when we thought all the delicious places were booked! We wandered into here with 8 starving men and women—and although they were mostly booked they didn’t hesitate to creatively suggest the bar. Now—this is a several course meal mind you, so what was my worry? Is the bar tender even up to this rather knowledge-intensive task? HECK YES! Will didn’t skip a beat—suggestions on pairings and explanations of dishes—WILL knew what was up. I even had him decide on all my courses—and it was excellent. To which he paused—thought—-and then goes…”yup”. Decadent, gourmet, and great—it was a stellar 3 course meal at a bar. No reservations. #fire

Awesome little find! What you see on the outside is definitely what is in the inside! Great ambiance with a classy feel. The food is unique and all chef made— which you may have to ask a lot of questions because there is some interesting terminology that I was not familiar with. One member of our party is celiac and they have a separate gluten free menu which was helpful. Portions are small but presentation and taste was right on point! Our server was great too, very knowledgeable with great recommendations, also was very attentive. Definitely a good spot!

The four of us had dinner at Ember in August to celebrate a birthday and it was phenomenal. Ember is my favorite type of restaurant: Chef owned and operated. And Chef Scott impressed us all with his unique and wonderful flavor combinations on every course. To complement the food, the service was excellent. I'll highly recommend Ember for any special occasion, or even for just when you're craving something unique and exceptional.

Had a wonderful meal with Ember. They accommodated a very large group and provided excellent service! The food was exceptional with many flavor profiles and plated like art. Had the scallops, lobster rellanos and gluten free chocolate cake.

We dined at Ember for our anniversary. The chef (owner) sent complimentary champagne to help us celebrate. Both the maitre d and our server were delightful and very helpful - we were well taken care of throughout the meal. The chef's current 3 course pre-fix is innovative in flavor layering and global in its inspiration. We adored every bite! The ambiance adds to the experience of the meal, and we are new, enthusiastic fans. Can't wait to return!

I’ve been eating around Breckenridge for the better part of 2 decades and this place is one of the best. The 3 course menu is an absolute must of an experience. Excellent wait staff, great wine, creative menu, 10/10.

Stumbled across this hidden gem on our way to another restaurant originally. Good thing the other one was packed because we would have missed out on the best place in Breck to celebrate our engagement! Staff was beyond attentive, and the food was incredibly delicious and beautifully presented. Great drinks and a beautiful outdoor seating area capped a perfect night.

Amazing food and amazing staff. Could not have asked for better service and accomodations. The Elk was absolutely perfectly cooked and the so was the dry aged steak. Drinks were on point as well. Highly recommend for a classy dinner date spot. I will absolutely be going back when im in Breckenridge. This place seriously deserves to be tried out if you are in the area.

The food and ambiance were unmatched! Connor and Bob were more than accommodating and explained each dish with enthusiasm and excitement! Best tasting food and experience so far in breck and can’t wait to come back!!!!

Very nice place with fancy dishes and great presentation. A must visit in town. Dont trust googlemaps when it says it has no tables available and just walk in. During two says i avoid going due to google saying no tables available while they had plenty. My dishes came on the rare side of it so if you dont like duck or elk on the rare side ask to be extra cooked.

The food was incredible and even though it sounds unique I highly recommend branching out and trying something fun. We got the shrimp flatbread and the flavors together were fantastic. Sammy is incredible sweet and welcomed us right in. We felt right at home. All the locals were giving us places to go and things to do. It was honestly sad when we had to leave. Great experience and I highly recommend.

Excellent evening. Every aspect was outstanding - food, service, ambiance. Every course was both incredibly creative and delicious, and the staff did a great job of explaining each item. Very unique experience. Highly recommend for special occasions.

One of the best tasting fine dining experiences you can get in Breck. We did their $80 (per person) prix fix menu which our group of 3 thought was well worth the price. We each got something different and everything we chose was great from drinks, food, and desert. The menu changes but you will always find something that will taste excellent. Service was great and the atmosphere was very chill. Make sure to set a reservation!

Best food I've had in 30+ years of skiing! The fixed price 3 course meal was creative, blending flavors into a unique presentation which left all six hungry skiers satiated. I would drive from Denver just to have another meal here.

Ok. I thought really hard and long about this rating and I decided on a 4 BUT only because it’s a truly unique experience and the food it fabulous but I left hungry. 😬 Let’s dig deep: The snapper was cooked perfectly. The scallops were cooked perfectly. The salad I had was lovely but the “sides”felt more as an art piece. My cocktail Sexy lady was out of this world. Decided not to have dessert.

This restaurant offered only a set menu 2 items for $65 and 3 for $75 per person. Its a high priced meal with several game meat options. Excellent service and good food though I wasn’t wowed with all of the food, especially with the price. My favorite part was the dessert: blueberry pie actually Dessert: the blueberry pie has a crispy filo dough shell filled with blueberries. The pie alone was delicious but when paired with the sauce and possibly lemon curd… was amazing. Appetizer: the duck had some interesting sauces and sides. Good, not incredible. Entree: 1) quail 2) venison loin. Creative presentation. The meats were good, sides not incredible.

Listen. Five stars means I’m weeping and crying over how good the meal was. 4 stars means it’s a solid experience and I would continue to go back and be a regular. Go to the bar. Hang out when Sam is bartending- she is the BEST. She has built a loyal customer following and she knows her stuff. The new dessert Strawberry French Toast is a fun take on dessert. It’s got a great vibe and good menu. I highly recommend!

Ember was great. I can only comment about their euphoric hour (aka happy hour). Good bottle beer selections and yummy food specials. It's only offered at the bar area which had about 15 seats. Arrive early. $5 dishes, $6 Cocktails & martinis, $4 we'll drink, $5 wine, $2 off beer.

I had very interesting experience at this restaurant Ember. I will start with pros. Food on the plate looked like art work! Exquisite , elegant, and very appealing to an eye. Atmosphere was cozy, plus our table had a beautiful outside view. Servers were polite and did their job great. Now CONS: what made me put 3 stars and not more is how food tasted. We tried six different dishes, and all of them were hit or miss. We didn’t like any of our appatizers , they were arugula salad, buffalo empanadas , pheasant , and hamachi. Some appetizers didn’t have flavor at all, some sauces tasted weird, and some elements were just ok. For our entrees we had wagyu steak and red snapper. We asked for medium rare steak and got medium. The flavor though was pretty good but besides steak itself sides and sauces were not good at all. My snapper , tasted good . Sides for me again were a fail. On my dish there were lots of different sauces and different elements but from everything only snapper and piece of cauliflower what tasted good. I have very mixed feelings about this place. Had an exciting experience for sure, of trying new dishes which looked amazing , but on the other hand they tasted not so good. Also we had to wait for food for sooooo long. Which was upsetting. Personally, I wouldn’t go there again, but for the new exciting experience maybe you can try this place.

As a couple who are used to high-end dining experiences, I wanted to treat my wife for our 10th wedding anniversary dinner on New Year’s Eve. I booked the evening for four. We arrived early as indicated, are were left alone to wait to be seated for 20 minutes. We were escorted to the “Wine Attic “ where we were all but forgotten about. I will also say here that the floors were tremendously dirty. When we did get service, it was slow. While I had some good bites of food, my wife’s three selections were wrong. When corrected, they were cold. Having dined in some of the best restaurants in the world, we cannot recommend Ember.

S
Stefan Kobewka

Having eaten here numerous times I can safely say that on this occasion the food was well below the standard of previous visits, as was the service. Sad to report as this restaurant has been a favourite for a number of years

T
Taylor A

The menu needs to be seriously rethought. The dishes were doing the absolute most instead of being intentional with combining flavors and textures. I enjoy creative dishes but these were a mess. It was sensory overload. All of the meat was cooked very well but all the random sides and sauces took away from the nice cuts. Further, I felt bad for the wait staff because it seemed impossible to remember the 20+ things going on in every dish that they had to explain to all the patrons. Great wine list though!

My husband and I spent the weekend in Breck for our anniversary. It was an impromptu trip so I didn't book any reservations ahead of time. After reading many reviews for $$$ or $$$$ in Breck I decided to try and get a reservation at Ember. We were able to get one and looked forward to a fine dining experience in one of the best towns in Colorado. FOOD -The restaurant was only offering the pre fixe menu of two courses for $50 or three courses for $60. I knew this going into the meal and had an idea of what I wanted to order. Kindle (Appetizer) - Gluten Free Arugula Salad: fuji apple crisps, truffle tremor goat cheese, crystalized macadamia, smoked soy balsamic, edamame and polenta croutons. I opted to skip the edamame and polenta croutons because they are prepared with gluten containing foods (I can't remember if it's a shared fryer or a shared prep area...). Without the croutons, I paid $25 for lettuce, cheese, apples, nuts and a sauce that lacked any unique flavor and balance (likely missing a salty flavor from the croutons). Blaze (Main Course) - Gluten Free Iberico Pork: golden raisin chutney, cauliflower, apricot and madras curry sauce. The pork was chewy. One piece was seasoned well (salt and pepper) the other was not. The lemongrass and curry flavors were not my favorite (preference). -------- Kindle (Appetizer) - Not [prepared] Gluten Free Lamb Cheeks: wasabi beet gnocchi, shishito pesto, garlic molasses gelee', cucumber salad, miso butterscotch sauce. My husband's review was "Quite good. Flavorful, cooked well, balanced.". Blaze (Main Course) - Not Gluten Free Mango and Brie Empanada: tamale, black bean puree', creamed calabaza and corn, heart of palm salsa, orange-annato coulis with additional scallops. My husband's review was "Hard to eat. To ride to untie it but couldn't. Scallops were the best part.". AMBIANCE -The restaurant is dimly lit and from the outside and entryway looks like what I would expect of a fine dining restaurant. As we were escorted to our table, nestled quite closely to the other tables, I sat on the bench seat and immediately noticed that my view included a window that looked directly onto a garage (or something similar) and a DUMPSTER. Every time I looked over my husband's shoulder, I saw a dumpster and was taken out of the "mood" of the restaurant. The art and general decor is interesting and a good topic of conversation. They had one small candle on the table, no music, no real ambiance...nothing that made it stand out. The dress code seemed to be "Colorado casual". A few people were dressed up but only if their whole table was. Most had on sneakers, comfy but stylish pants or shorts and short sleeves shirts. We will not be returning.

We were excited to try this new spot in Breck, but it ultimately fell short of expectations. We ordered the lamb cheeks as a starter—they arrived quickly, but unfortunately were cold. Our entrées took quite a while to come out. The boar shank was mid while the lobster wasn’t memorable. Midway through our meal, a large group was seated nearby and became quite loud, which significantly changed the atmosphere. Cant do much about it but the server appeared to encourage the energy rather than manage it, which detracted from what should have been a fine-dining experience. The staff was very friendly and the drinks were good but overall, I wouldn’t recommend it. There are better fine-dining options in Breckenridge

P
Paul Matos-Gonzales

Listen, the staff and everyone in the front is trying to provide the best service possible but man the food is absolutely terrible I’m sorry chef we need to change everything. Went in a group and spent almost $400 and we left hungry and unsure what just happened. I had the Duck , Elk , and blueberry pie as my three meals . Some of my guest their food was not edible after just trying it with 2 bites. This is one of those places each dish is small and “fancy” but lacked flavor and clear design plan for the plates. The blueberry pie was a saving grace for the night but was really a blueberry stuff croissant with powdered sugar on top. I understand Breckenridge is all about tourism and it’s busy in the winter season but if this place wants to survive another 5 years they need to revisit the whole menu and business model. If anyone wants to try it go ahead but rather save money and just go to another restaurant

M
Mackenzie Maciulis

The service and drink delivery were extremely slow, and our server seemed visibly overwhelmed throughout the meal. The food was fine, but it didn’t feel like the fine dining experience we were expecting. I noted on the reservation that it was my 30th birthday, but there was no acknowledgment at all. Overall, it wasn’t a memorable experience and I wouldn’t return.
