One of the best places in town to eat. They have one of the best hot wings sauce in town. The Tejas wings are a best seller and so is the buffet. It's reasonable priced so the entire family can eat. I love this place. I come here almost every time I come to town and it's located close to a King Dollar. You can lose with Hartz!

Honestly it’s clean, great staff and very well stocked with constant replenishment during busy buffet dinner hour.... absolutely would return! And I tried everything and everything tasted very good and fresh! The best Hartz buffet I’ve been to!

They used to have big fluffy hot rolls now they are 1/2 the size they were and hard. 2 months later they are back to normal. Thanks

I was coming back from Houston and was looking for a place to eat, and didn't want to wait another hour until we hit Austin, so this place was definitely a nice find. Seriously, a chicken buffet? How much food could they offer? I laughed at first but when I stopped by, it was a place I needed to try. They have rotisserie chicken, fried chicken, chicken tenders, fried liver, fried catfish, and some spicy chicken. They have a full salad bar. They also have a plethora of side dishes and deserts like mash and gravy, Mac & Cheese, dirty rice, puffy bread rolls, banana pudding, peach cobbler, collard greens, and a bunch of other stuffs. They also have soft serve ice cream. The fried chicken was really good, it reminded me of Jollibee fried chicken, I'm NOT kidding. The chicken tenders reminded me of Popeyes tenders. The rotisserie chicken was good and fall off the bone tender. The fried catfish was a little too fishy for me, but I can see other folks really liked it. There were so many good sides, which help to offset all the chicken one plans to eat :) You get all this food for less than $15, and the chicken is the tasty main attraction, that's a steal in my book! You would pay double for all this at any other Fast Food joint. For value and what you pay, I would definitely recommend coming here if you need a solid meal between Houston & Austin, or just want to give this hidden Gem a try.

Family of 4 greatly enjoyed this buffet. To save money and prevent wast, we ordered one combo for our two little boys because they are not big eaters. Spouse and I ordered buffet. Everything tasted great. They had fish, salad, tenders, baked chicken, bread, and a variety of fruits. I ate alot of everything, and was very pleased. I did not like how we had to go ask busy cashiers for new plates every time we went for more food at buffet. The service was not too good in that the cashiers did not seem welcoming or informed about menu or prices. I would eat here often if not for the customer service.

Food is usually okay, and they have the best fried chicken or gizzards in Brenham. You have to watch who is taking your order sometimes, because they will try and hustle you in there. It’s always petty stuff too, like hot sauce. If you order some food and ask for hot sauce, they will charge you for it, but you can go to a table and get as much as you want for free. It’s funny that it’s not on the menu though. They will try and change prices on you too, but like I said, it’s only certain people who work there. There’s no doubt they are hustling people in their if you don’t pay attention, always get your receipts and look 👀

Went to Hartz buffet Brenham at about 7:10 pm (They close at 8;00). Most of the food was cold and probably had been sitting out for awhile. Some of it was good though. Wanted a tea refill but they told me it was too close to closing time to make more. Went to the restroom and the urinal had a sign do not flush. You can use your imagination on how nasty that was. Probably won't go back to this location.

As a parent, it's incredibly frustrating to be out eating and then go into a bathroom to change my baby and find that there is no baby changing station. This is not okay.

I absolutely hate giving bad reviews but this one is very necessary: Had high hopes since we’ve never tried Hartz but have seen them everywhere, but that was probably our biggest mistake. I’ve never been more disappointed in a restaurant EVER! Between my husband & I, we tried everything they had on the buffet. Very, VERY small buffet. The fried chicken was beyond tough, we’ll just call it for what it is, fried brick. Hot wings were soft, not crispy as so was the catfish. The gizzards were so hard they could’ve been a deadly weapon if you threw them at a bad guy & put their eye out! Not sure where they got the liver from but, ummm, yeah we won’t go into that. If you wanted any of the meats, you best get them as soon as you see them drop the new hot batch on the buffet or you will be literally getting cold meats! The salad bar consisted of lettuce & dressing. Potato salad & coleslaw. They both were mediocre at best. As far as the vegetables, they tasted as though they were poured directly from a can & warmed up with ABSOLUTELY no seasoning. From the corn, green beans, instant mashed potatoes, country white gravy, brown gravy, collard greens, cabbage, black eye peas, pinto beans, white rice, jambalaya rice, macaroni & cheese mush, & what appeared to be broccoli cheese rice casserole, they ALL were awful. I will say the rolls were hot, fresh & fairly good, but who wants to pay $16.99 for a couple of rolls??? Another disappointment is that they give you a very thin, small foam plate when you get buffet. Desserts were a dried out, almost gone peach cobbler & something else I was just too scared to touch. They do serve ice cream, although it is not advertised, but we happened to see another couple get it. In conclusion, we will NOT be back, here or any other location. Sorry for the bad review.

Went in to eat with our family and 7+ is considered an adult now. No way a 7,8,9 year old should be charged $16 to eat a little chicken and some sides. We left without eating there. Won’t be back. We used to go a few time a month. Pretty pathetic

Went in at 11:00 for buffet. Food was cold and rolls hard. Asked why food was cold and was told that I needed to stir it(I dont recall working there)! Man got an attitude with me and said go ahead and put a Google review with a very rude attitude. Was the last time I go back! Waste of money and buffet prices go up in March.
