Food was exceptional! Taco meat was tender, juicy and tasty! Queso was not real thick but delicious. Enchiladas were a hit! Can’t wait to return.
Hands-down, best ribeye I've had in YEARS! Service was spot-on. All servers expected our needs before we did. Husband's beef fajitas were AMAZING! Highly recommend!!!!
Love this place the margaritas are wonderful 👍 staff is great
I've been here 3 times now for dinner. Drinks are always accurately well made. Food is always good. I won't tell you this place is fantastic, but it is very consistently a solid choice.
This is definitely notTexMex food. This tastes more like authentic Mexican food. Quickly seated with drink orders taken immediately. Chips/salsa arrived within a minute of seating. Ordered Queso and it arrived within 3 minutes of ordering. The waiter was there to take our order as soon as we were ready. The food was simply amazing. My wife and I have both had gastric sleeve surgery so we can't eat a lot. The servings are plentiful, so we share what we order, therefore there were a lot of leftovers. I had the shrimp, chicken, and penne pasta dish. The manager was worried that I didn't like it because I was refusing a Togo box for it. I explained that the cream sauce would breakdown (separate) during reheating. He agreed and understood. We ordered 8 tamales to go because they were AMAZING! If I ever make it back to the area, this restaurant is definitely on the list of places to stop. Also, for truckers, the Lowe's will allow you to park so you can go eat an awesome meal.
Food was excellent. Service was friendly and quick. Beer served very cold and a great atmosphere!
Good food, excellent service for a large group.
We love going there and sitting in the bar having a rita and food. Sometimes their music is too loud. Don't know why restaurants turn music up loud because you go there to visit , drink, and eat. We aren't up dancing. So then everyone is talking very loud to get over the music. Good parking and remodeled bathrooms.
They have probably the best Stuffed Avocado with chicken I’ve eaten in a long time. Their tortilla soup is divine and I’d gladly just drink the broth in a cup by itself. Margaritas are great as well. Service is great and food comes quickly. Lastly, they have the best vanilla soft serve ice cream around. Top notch in all respects.
Great place to eat. Food was delicious, hot, and Rita’s were perfect! Great atmosphere and kid friendly. Reasonably priced.
Today 08 21 2025 my friend mr Parker n.me J Prtiz went to eat.ther n.hmmm that was s o good this is the 2 times we go eat there n i Recomendé it is on the conor of 290 n hway 36
Los Cabos is always a solid place for Mexican food in Brenham. Service is always quick, beer is always cold and margaritas are well made. Plus, they have an ice cream machine so even if all you go for is that, you'll be impressed.
We rarely make it to Brenham, but when we do, we come here. We love the service as they have runners that are just focused on refilling drinks and chips. There were times where my drink hit the halfway point and here they came refilling the drink. The food we have had here is really good. I am actually mad at myself for not writing down specifically what I ordered for next time, because it was so good. I left in a food coma and my mind forgot to make a mental note. This place is top notch and we definitely recommend it to anyone that is in the area!
I got to Los Cabos about 8pm a few days before Christmas. I was seated in the bar area, which was very comfortable seating, and not crowded at all. After getting my drink, I asked for a recommendation and he quickly referred me to the Poblano Chicken dish that I agreed to order. It came quickly & piping hot! It was amazing! And provided me a great left-over meal the next day!! I wish I remembered the waiter's name because he did a super job! The chips salsa & food was great that evening and every other time I've eaten there so it's my go to place to eat when in Brenham❗️An A+ from me.
I'd say my favorite thing, by far, is the green salsa! They don't just bring it to your table with the other salsa, though, so make sure to ask for it! Margaritas are good; the food is good in general, though I will say they could do better on the charro beans. They lack something...idk I've had more flavorful charros in smaller, less popular restaurants. The atmosphere is what you'd expect at a tex-mex restaurant, colorful and flamboyant, and very nice. It can get loud when crowded, but not so much that you can't talk across the table. They also offer complimentary ice cream cones. Prices are about average, I'd say, with most plates costing between $15-$20 each.
Last night went for dinner and everything was wonderful! Many people waiting. We were waiting in bar area and server named Liz took our drink order and came back and immediately seated us. She was friendly, professional and so helpful! Food was delicious and we so appreciated her great service!
I love the atmosphere and the bartenders are amazing. Will recommend 100 percent.
Excellent lunch service and food the El Torito is outstanding along with the chips and queso
Food was great and fun atmosphere. Service was a little lacking but they were swamped at lunch.
Great service, amazing green sauce and free ice cream!!!
Probably my most favorite place to eat on the way to Houston or Galveston. Awesome service, great margaritas and really good food.
Absolutely outstanding. Pricey but worth it. Very prompt service. I had the Cabo Enchiladas. The wife had the summer plate. The salsa and green sauce tastes homemade. The chips were nice and warm with prompt refills. My enchiladas were the best. The rice on my plate was different from the rice on my wife's plate. Mine was better. Her charro beans were just beans with some bacon and cilantro; could have been better. Everything else was among the best Tex Mex I've had. I had the jalapeno margarita and she got the skinny margarita. Both were awesome. Overall, would come back if ever again between Austin and Houson and need to stop for some Mexican food.
My only complaint is that this restaurant isn’t closer to my home. My family and I have been coming here for years when we are traveling through. The food is amazing and the service is wonderful. Not to mention the free ice cream and the crazy cheap prices. 10/10 I recommend.
Such a professional and amazing environment. Lots of room and accommodated our band of 80. Great prices quick services. Highly highly recommended!!
It is the best Mexican food that I have had in some time. Will stop here again!
Los Cabos catered our rehearsal dinner last week. Their Famous Fajitas Buffet was excellent. The servers arrived at the venue & had everything set up and ready to serve, when the event started. They provided real plates, plasticware, and napkins. They were very responsive to requests from guests. We even had two guests who arrived late, due to flight issues. They had already started packed up the buffet, but they reopened everything and made 2 plates for them. In addition, they packed everything that was left over and sent it home with us. I highly recommend you contact Liz to arrange your catering needs.
Stop to have lunch on our way to Houston, food selection was hard to pick from steaks to fajitas, chicken and seafood selection, we chose the Gringo came with zneef fajitas, bacon wrap shrimp with rice and Charo beans, service was prompt food hot with homemade tortillas good size portion and best price for similar orders, fajiras were big strips if tender what you expect from papsitos at half the price. Waitresses keep coming to see if we need anything. The food, service and price were excellent. Definitely will stop again if im passing by.
Dinner here at Cabos is good no great with hostess . Bartender/neighbor. Friend with wonderful care of us all and the restaurants needs thank you Daniella will be back yeehaa
Fantastic food and great service for a reasonable price. When in town, that's a must-stop kinda place!
We were worried when we saw the massive menus but they delivered an outstanding meal and quickly. Not only is the menu massive so is the dining area and this place delivers. We also got the margaritas my husband got the prickly pear and I got the watermelon they were really good i would have liked to have had them without the pre-made lime Margarita base, but they were still really good
The food is good for a small town but the drinks are the BEST anywhere! Lucy is an expert bartender. She is always making sure I have everything I need. The drinks she makes are of the highest quality! She is not stingy with the liquor. I would also hire her for a private event to bartend because she is that good. Thank you, Lucy!!
Ordered El Campo Nachos (small) w/chicken fajita, they were a bit soggy because they use thin tortilla chips. Nevertheless they were delicious! You could taste the freshness of the guacamole which was my favorite! The chicken was very flavorful and juicy. Service was great and the restaurant gives pleasant atmosphere.
Food was really great.. Ate everything on my plate..😅
First time eating at Los Cabos Mexican Grill in Brenham, Texas. Absolutely awesome service. Great food and comfortable atmosphere as well. Loved every moment of this dining experience.
Traveled to Brenham for the Blue Bell and stopped at Los Cabo’s for lunch. Reminds you of old school Texas. Food was great. Chips and salsa and queso. Queso was a hook point. All around great experience.
Service quick. We requested some changes and they were plated correctly. You do have to pay more if you use a credit card which is why they got a 4 on atmosphere. For years they have paid services charges so why are they passing this on to the customer while asking for a 20 percent tip.
The wait staff are very attentive and friendly. We loved the queso flamenco con chorizo and salsa. Poland sauce is good, but a little heavy on butter. Beya loved the flavor of her beef enchiladas. It was busy during our visit, so we were slow to recieve our food. However, our server Luis Soto made sure to check in regularly which is great service! We will be back.
Good consistent food. Nice portion sizes. Great drinks. Service is a little slow on busy days. All employees are very nice and helpful.
We came in with a large party and they were able to accommodate us quickly. Our server was top notch, attentive and friendly. The food is above average for typical Tex Mex and portions were generous on both regular entrees and kids meals. Folks in our party had margaritas and ranch waters, which were scratch made, delicious and not too sweet. We will be back.
Was on a day trip with the family and stopped by for lunch. The staff was very attentive and made sure our glasses didn't go empty, as well as making sure everything else was ok. Food was great as well, me and the wife enjoyed our dishes, and while the kids ordered from the kid menu their food looked just as good. Would def recommend stopping here!
This was my first time here, it was a recommendation from a friend.....it was fantastic!! Everything was delicious. They do give large portions so be prepared to have a lot left over. The service was outstanding, great atmosphere! It was just an overall great experience. We will definitely be going back and I would also highly recommend to anyone. 7-20-24 Another great experience at Los Cabos, Diego was our waiter, he offered great service and was very attentive.
Best food ever!! This was my first time eating here, and I am really impressed. The restaurant is really nice and the food is awesome. It was really affordable, considering the large portions and the great quality of the food. Everybody working there was really nice and helpful. I would 100% eat there again and I highly recommend. The food we got was $7.99 each and under $20 for both of us.
Great service. Very attentive to filling drinks. Chips, salsa, and queso were so good!!

I had a meal with 3 cheese enchiladas which is typically how I judge a Mexican restaurant with 5 stars being the best cheese enchilada I've ever had. The Los Cabos cheese enchilada was not the best I've ever had but they were good. I'd have them again if the opportunity arose. Some places have a red sauce that tastes off or a weird mix of cheeses. The ones here were pretty standard flavor but fresh made and tasty. The price was a bit high but everybody's prices are high so I don't hold that against them. Red salsa served with chips was good (didn't try the other salsa). No complaints about the wait staff, kitchen or host.
Most food is great but the fajitas need more seasoning.
Very authentic Tex Mex food in Brenham. I ordered the Fajita Trio and the portion size was huge. Plenty of beef, chicken, and shrimp mixed with onions pepper, and Jalapeno's. It came accompanied with rice/charro beans and pico de Gallo. The menu has A LOT of options to choose from. Came here twice in one week and the chipotle enchiladas were fantastic. Friendly and fast staff on both nights.

Very good Mexican restaurant--I had lovely tamales with rice, beans, and a chili sauce. Helpful waitstaff, typical ambience, seems to be a very popular place with locals and visitors.

Delicious chicken enchilada verdes and good margaritas. The grilled shrimp was also very tasty. Good service and prices. Parking lot off of the frontage road.

Service at lunch was super slow. Food was unremarkable.
Not sure what happened but this place went for being the place to eat to now not... Hard to get a waiter to pay attention, luckily there are many people on the floor so you just need to talk to a few. The chips were cold the last few times we went but they got us new ones quick. The prices went up almost 30% if not more in the past year.
The place is good, and our server was really sweet! Loveee the salsa there! BUT I ordered the Poblano releno (chilli releno) it was REHEATED AND SERVED TO US!! It is supposed to be fried and they reheated something which was FRIED!!! The waitress talked to the chef and she agreed to that it maybe reheated! But sad part is after not having that old food they still charged us! Also the GUACAMOLE the avocados weren’t even smashed, big chunks!! Good service but disappointed with the way they use old food and just reheat and pretend it’s fresh!! 3 stars only for the server and salsa!!
Good service but mediocre food. Stale taco shells. Charro beans mid. Green and red salsa good though.
Food was ok, service was nothing special, they did their job, and that's the attitude they had about it. Margarita was pretty good. Had some tortilla soup that I was not impressed with at all. Husband had enchiladas. He said they were ok, nothing to write home about.
The host, who is in the photo on her phone, was not very personable. Acted more like we were just a job and she had to tell us what to do. This was our very first visit and the sad thing is, the food wasn't bad....but where is the personality in this place? No one smiled. Claudio was superb!!! He made sure every table had drinks and chips....with a smile. Masks are "required" to enter, yet we watched 3 families come in without them. The salad bar is open to the restaurant and not one person wore a mask to go get their salad. The free ice cream cone is the worse. We watched countless people go to the machine and use the black lever for their ice cream....without a mask and without gloves. So tell me again why require mask when germs are spread through the salad bar, ice cream machine, and restrooms? The restaurant looks very well kept with vibrant colors, the food was not bad...could use a little more seasoning...but not bad. We will try the restaurant again, just not sure how soon.
What happened, Los Cabos? The queso had broken chips in it and the server told us it was the cheese. We didn't touch it after that. We all had combo plates and the rice tasted like it fell off the sysco truck. Very plain. "The cracker barrel of mexican food" is an apt description. Back when y'all had a 10 page menu, the food was much better. Again, what happened?
Met some family from out of town here last weekend and it was decent. I appreciate they served queso blanco with the chips and everyone enjoyed their food. My chimichanga was very bland however, but the beans and rice were really good. If I came back I’d probably try the tacos al carbon because those seemed to be more flavorful. Staff was both friendly and attentive and then at times not attentive at all. The waitress brought our drinks fairly quickly and was always ready to refill drinks and chips promptly. However when we said we were ready to order she told the waiter and he threw his hands up and kept walking. eventually another waiter came and took our order. It was a very strange moment and maybe there was some context I wasn’t aware of it but nonetheless it seemed unprofessional.
We went to go eat there a second time the first time it was great this time it was very disappointing. The meat didn’t have any flavor, chicken, enchiladas, or dry. The waiter kept staring at me for some reason like I did something to him. I guess they never saw someone in the wheelchair. It was very uncomfortable this time to go eat there the first time he seemed very nice but sad. The food was better last time, but that was more authentic than what it was sure today.
This place is just ok considering there are not a lot of options in the area. Customer service is blunt but not rude. They charged me for the dinner portion and gave me the lunch portion of my meal. Sustitutions are not of equal value. I was charged for an extra side bc i took off only the beans in my meal and not the rice and beans. Typically, you trade 1 side for another, not 2. The food was good but could've used more seasoning. All in all, I'd return if I had to but it wouldn't be my first choice.

Nothing bad to review but nothing great either. The blackened redfish was the best dish we have had. Except the sangria margarita. It was top notch.
We went to Los Cabos hoping that the food would be great. However, the restaurant did provide salsa and chips. The chips were not made in house. I ordered the enchiladas verdes and the chicken was not shredded and it was more like a big chunk of chicken inside of the tortillas, the rice tasted burnt. My sister ordered the quesadilla and they were cold. My parents ordered the mixed fajitas and the charros bean were not good and the rice in some parts was not cooked. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone if you want good, authentic Mexican food.
The server kept running his hands through his hair and touching his face and nose. I never saw him wash his hands. The meat on the nachos had a terrible taste. I didn't eat it and the server wasn't interested in why. I do not recommend this place. Bar tender never washed her hands and handled dirty glassware and clean glassware. NASTY PLACE.
Worst food experience. The tortilla was raw, and the pepper was served only half-grilled with the skin still on. The rice was mushy, and the black bean soup tasted like it was prepared in old water. Service was mediocre.
The service was fine but we didnt stay long, not important but the guys voice sounded like Kronk so that was cool? The food wasnt good, salsa, cheese and chips tasted so off, i dont even know how else to explain it but... off... its also overpriced for it not being good. so thats something to consider!
I have been let down time and Time again by ALL the Mexican restaurants I’ve been to in Texas. Being Mexican myself, I have a high expectation for “authentic Mexican” restaurants. The food looked delicious, but my chicken was súper tough. I could not cut into it. It was rubbery. The shrimp taste like bleach. I didn’t taste the rice or beans because at that point i was gagging. One star for handmade tortillas and one star for our server who did a great job trying to please us in every way possible. Drinks and chips and salsa were refilled in a timely manner.
This place used to be our go-to Mexican restaurant in town. Their food used to be so delicious. But over the past few months, the quality of their shredded chicken and/or chicken dishes has gone way downhill. Just over the past few months, their chicken fajita meat, and chicken enchilada meat quality has been awful. We've found gamey meat parts and actual bones in our meat. This shouldn't be happening. We now go to other Mexican restaurant's in town that have much better food (especially in regards to their chicken dishes).
Unfortunately the food is not that good. I got the Morelia plate. I don't know how but the meat tasted old, bland, and was dry. This goes for both the crispy beef taco and fajita taco. The only redeeming thing on the plate was the chalupa. Grossly overpriced for what is served. I've honestly had better gas station tacos. The service was great though. The wait staff is attentive and prompt.
I don't recommend. I've never seen or tasted "Mexican food" like this and I'm Mexican! I don't know what they put in the enchiladas- bell pepper, Zucchini, shrimp. It was gross. Ground beef is not an option in your enchiladas or tacos. They use al carbon, but it is chewy.. The waiter was nice and had a great voice- he should be a futbol announcer or dj instead of waiter! Most of the other staff doesn't speak English. They seated us in the walking path to the party room, so everyone coming through the restaurant bumped into our table/chair. Go to Guadalajara instead.
Not clean and they did not get our order correct and never came to try to make it better for our visit, very disappointed.

Zero stars if I could. Do not waste your money on this place. Food is over priced for the quality of the food which is lower standard than your typical taqueria that at least have low prices …
This place is an absolute disappointment--even for Tex-Mex standards. They serve Velveeta cheese as queso, bagged chips, and half the menu features canned chicken. Yes, CANNED CHICKEN. There's noth…
I wish I could give this place a ZERO!!! Spent $18.99 for fajitas that were like rubber and bland. There was zero flavor and when we said something we were ignored. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!! I would …
Not good. spinach enchiladas were a BAD joke. beans are semi refried and bland. Poor value. Will not be back. ice cream was ok.

I went to los cabos for the first time i'm never going back! FIRST the sign didn't even say los cabos it said bill's tires and motor i ordered what they called the passenger type tire i was rubbery and oily and the waiter and hostess looked like i was crazy when i said when can i get the drinks they said i need to go down to whataburger and order. anyway one star i would put zero if i could.
Had the El Ray plate. It was absolutely the worst Mexican Food I have ever had. Evidently the cook has no idea how to cook It had no taste to it. The rice/beans weren’t worth eating! The tamale was dried out and hard to eat. Nothing about it was good. Pure CRAP!!!!! Please avoid eating there. There expensive prices for mediocre food is a rip off!
Waiting over an hr for our food while othere people waiting 10 mins to get it. The server never checked on us. The food is good but the experience is not. Will never go again and been going for years
Spent $101.00 June 20, 25. Just moved to Brenham a couple weeks before for a job. I took my one of my managers out to this restaurant and their premade margaritas tasted super weak so I went and talked to a manager. The manager never came. I went up to the bar. The bartender one was 19 and one was 20 so they have illegal bartenders working And the drink sucked so then the main manager came over. I can't remember his name. He tasted it and he was like yeah this is what it taste like. I'm warning you don't go there they would not Rectify this massive disaster do not go to this restaurant! I tried adding pictures, but it's not letting me I have pictures. This is a horrible run restaurant and TABC needs to be alerted.
My mother and I went here to eat, my mother ordered the chicken, she took one bite and then started coughing headed to the restroom and was in there for 10 minutes We both just just left. When I paid for the meal the waitress asked me was everything okay? I told her what happened, she didn't even care, no discount or anything. We didn't even eat half our meal. They did not even care. I definitely don't recommend this place at all. Stay Away at all costs!!! I will say the chip and salsa woman was really good at her job.
Definitely this place when downhill, food is not what used to be, tonight our experience was awful, we normally order fajitas and steak but tonight we try to explore the menu and order some seafood definitely was a big mistake we ended up sick and disappointed about the flavor of the food..
Health department needs to come in and verify all employees food handling certificates. If this is allowed in the FOH, I can only imagine the BOH. I watched employees make drinks and use this cutting board(pictured), not one person ever washed their hands. The container used for Limes was used multiple times bare handed to extract Lime pieces for drinks. Once seeing all of this I could not eat my food that was brought out, due to the unknown in the BOH. I hope no one gets sick from the practices I witnessed.
U daughters chicken was still pink and the server did not put my order in them at checkout I was charged for 2 margaritas I only had 1. The manger addressed the issue and corrected it and apologized and said it wasn't his fault.. I was there last week and spent around 88. Dollars .u chk. Today would have been over 100.00 dollars but they had to take of the raw chicken and part of my plate that was not put in. I moved to tx from Arizona,I talked to your mager a month ago and then I took my wife here last week then brought my family here today. It was a bad experience . Your manager said it wasn't his fault but he did apologize . I will be back to give your restaurant another try hopefully it will be like my first visit . The shirnp or the fajita taco upset my stomach .
I’ve been here many times over the last few years, and only had a good meal one time. I don’t know why I keep coming back expecting a different result. I’ve tried ordering the same one good meal I’ve ever had multiple times, and it was horrible! I’ve since run through the menu, and have never had anything remotely good. The rice is always terrible, the salsa’s are trash, the beans are hit and miss, but the service is good, and the drinks are decent. I don’t know how they call themselves a steak house, they have the absolute worst steaks in the state of Texas, very dry like they are freezer burnt all the time. Honestly, a steak from Denny’s is five stars compared to what they cook! The only people in my family that are never disappointed, are my kids, as they order cheese quesadillas every time we come. I guess it’s hard to mess up a cheese quesadilla!!! I’m done rolling the dice on this place, I crap out every time!!!
Disgusting. This is the Los Cabos Dinner. Their namesake. $21 before tax. It was worse than I remember my elementary school meals being. I took two bites and threw the rest away. Taco Bell would have been significantly better and more filling at half the price. All together we spent over $100 and most of it was thrown away.
Worst Mexican restaurant that I've ever eaten at and I eat restaurants almost every day. The Cheese was like Mitzeralla cheese and chewy like Bubble Gum on my Chili Relleno. Rice was like School Cafeteria Rice, Wet and Sticky and Not much flavor. One. I'm a Top 10 Reviewer for Google Maps and I Don't Recommend this Place.
