This place is a small slice of Heaven in the city. Amazingly authentic pork and the musubi is perfection! Also the service is on point. Worth the splurge!

I come here once or twice a week. The food is reliably delicious and the service is OUT. OF. THIS. WORLD. I have a lot of food allergies and had to ask about a million questions when I first started coming here. NaeNae patiently answered every single one and now even remembers what I like to order when I come in for my Wednesday night Hawaiian BBQ fix. I highly suggest the teriyaki beef, short ribs for the half and half combo as well as the Portuguese sausage and egg sandwich. All of the musubi options are 🔥🔥 but I'm a creature of habit and tend to order the same thing every time!

This was my first time trying Hawaiian BBQ, and let me tell you it did not disappoint one bit!!!! Everyone there was super friendly and welcoming, especially Naynay! Hidden gem in the city! 💜 I am so happy to have an L&L here in Denver for that craving of a taste from home. The chicken katsu was super crisp on the outside and moist on the inside. This location also has soft-serve in pineapple and mango flavors! So refreshing! Best part is the warm and friendly service! 😍 Mahalo!

I've been going to L&L IN CA almost as long as I can remember.....so when I drove down 6th Ave today and saw the sign I got very excited! I got home, checked if they were open yet and decided to go for dinner that night! Turned out they had only been open for 5 days so far! We ordered 2 combos, 1 with chicken katsu and moko loco, and the other with chicken katsu and khaula pork....everything tasted really delicious and WOW, for the price there is a TON of food! We also got 2 different musubi....a span and a Portuguese sausage....these were good as well, but I did have 1 complaint, which I even mentioned to someone who ended up being one of the owners. My complaint was the musubi just had too much rice... Besides being real delicious food, the prices are great! There aren't many places anymore where you can get a plate of food (piping hot and FRESH!) for 14 bucks and still have leftovers! Congratulations to Edith and crew on your opening, and THANK YOU for bringing L&L Hawaiuan BBQ so close to my home!

Long story short - CHECK THIS PLACE OUT! Ordered the BBQ mix plate: teriyaki beef, bbq chicken and chicken katsu served over two scoops of white rice with a side of macaroni salad. A HUGE portion of well-seasoned, delicious food for $15. Staff was friendly, helpful, attentive. 5/5, highly recommmend!

I love L&L. I would wait for hours and deal with the overflow and constantly wait upwards of 30 min at the location in Aurora. This one has a digital order taker and a business model built to handle crowds of business. The staff is friendly and make you want to tip, and this location still is new so take advantage of it before the secret gets out! L&l is delicious 😋. No question I think out of all the Hawaiian bbq places this is the best. I love the Aurora location. This is the first time ever at this location but it definitely didn't disappoint for sure. I ordered something I usually don't get and it was ok . Lots of great flavors and dishes that are super unique, and things I’ve never tried in Colorado before! I enjoyed the Haupia (coconut pudding) and the butter mochi (like a sponge cake) and have nothing to compare them to!

Love this place, the quality is always great and my favorite Hawaiian food in Denver. I suggest the half and half, I usually get some type of chicken and the moco loco. The Mac is THE BEST and their portions are big.

So I have not eaten at a Hawaiian place before as there is none back home in New Mexico USA. The food is darn right out of control. The food flavors and kimchi was really good. I ordered the Loco Moco as I have always wanted to try it and my buddy got the short ribs. Food was super solid but man is it a lot of food! They also have drinks from the island which I couldn’t pass up. It’s not got the best ambience but the music playing (reggae) and staff were all really really nice! I noticed almost everyone that came in was doing pickup so they must all know the food is crazy good!

Just ordered from here through DoorDash, I’m visiting Denver and staying down the road at a hotel. The chicken and gravy was great and the fried shrimp even better. Macaroni was also great and fresh tasting. Their Tatar sauce was also unique and went great with everything. The rice wasn’t too dry and went well with the chicken and gravy combo! I’ll definitely order from here again soon. 4 stars on the service for not including silverware with the food. Please add silverware and napkins with DoorDash orders. People like me staying at hotels normally don’t travel with silverware.

This is a great restaurant for Hawaiian specialties. The choices are many and everything I've tried is delicious. It's nice to have a quick stop meal that's different from the regular burger chain. This place is fantastic! I highly recommend checking it out. Ordering ahead is efficient. Sometimes it gets packed.

Excellent service, friendly staff, the staff seemed happy working, eager to ask my questions…”what is Mochika?” We didn’t have that in Hawaii. Food was excellent as usual. I have been eating L&L for 25 years in Colorado, and your new location did not disappoint. I did try Kona last Saturday when I flew in from NYC on Pecos and I-70. The Mac salad had a weird taste, not a lot of food, chicken tasted different to, I will never go back to Kona. Look at all the food in the picture and that was a mini plate. And if you are true Hawaiian bbq fan you have to get the spam masubi and it was sooooo authentic, used to eat those for lunch at Moanalua high school in Honolulu.

This was my first time visiting L&L Hawaiian BBQ, and as someone from Kauai, it felt like a little piece of home in the mountains. The food is simply amazing! I ordered the Spam musubi and a loco moco, and both dishes took me right back to the flavors and warmth of home, just like the way mom makes it. The customer service here is fantastic—warm and friendly, which made me feel like I was truly welcomed as part of their ohana. The music and vibe in the restaurant instantly transported me back to Hawaii, making it more than just a meal, but an experience. To top it all off, I tried the pink pineapple mango soft-serve for dessert, and it was the perfect, refreshing way to end the meal. The care they put into everything here, from the food to the customer experience, is amazing. Being so far from home, it’s heartwarming to have this connection here in Colorado. L&L makes me feel like I have ohana in the mountains, and I’m truly grateful for that. Mahalo, L&L, for bringing the spirit of Hawaii to Denver!

We had eaten at L&L in Kona not knowing there's one in Denver, too! We enjoyed it so much we went twice while visiting Hawaii. The surprise when we learned L&L is in Denver! We visited and I ordered the same thing I had there. I think it was better here - the seafood combo with BBQ chicken. Yum.

The food was absolutely amazing. This location is semi-new and it’s so clean and well kept. I ordered the half and half with chicken katsu and lava chicken. The lava chicken has a kick to it but it’s still so delicious. it was served with a scoop of mac salad as well as 2 scoops of some white rice. the plate with tax was about $15 which I think is fine considering the amount of food you get. 9/10 recommend

Been to L&L in Vegas, Honolulu, San Diego and Aurora. So happy there is one closer to Denver as the one in Aurora is too far to drive to! Chicken Katsu tasted how I remembered. Garlic Shrimp was new to me and also tasted great.. just wish there was 1 or 2 more pieces to enjoy. Portion on Katsu was perfect. Will come back either to dine in or have delivery.

The moco loco was decent, and included a random scoop of macaroni salad. The musubi was sub par, but it was pretty cheap, so there's that. If you aren't already a fan of Hawaiian food, probably best to hit one of the several other Polynesian places in Denver.

I only gave four stars because I missed the beef stew they used to have and they don’t have it right now. Food is awesome. Service is great, but please bring beef stew back for the winter!

The food here is great but ordering to-go or pick up online has become inefficient during peak times as they have no designated area to pick up to-go orders.

This L&L location offers plenty of free parking and maintains a clean appearance. I encountered a small issue accessing the restroom, but one of the cooks from the back was very helpful in providing the code. As for the food, it's just as good as other L&L's I've tried. You really can't go wrong with their chicken katsu. I typically avoid the spare ribs, but I was hopeful after seeing some positive pictures in previous posted reviews. Its a trap! They were the same thin, chewy cuts I've experienced at every other L&L. My wife ordered the teriyaki chicken and it didnt look appealing, but luckily it was somewhat flavorful. I'd come back only for the chicken katsu.

Chicken and shrimp had a nice crisp on them and the beef short ribs were tender enough, but unfortunately they were not seasoned. I am sure they have their own reasons, but being from New Orleans, I prefer at least a little seasoning. The staff was great, though.

The girl that took my order was super sweet and the place looked really clean and although my order came super quick and was delicious I found pieces of eggshell in the Mochi cake I got from them. I was half way through when I realized so who knows how much I already ingested

I was really excited to see an L&L closer to downtown/ in Denver. When i arrived there weren't many people in the restaurant- two people ahead of me. I ordered on the kiosk- a combo plate with katsu chicken and bbq short ribs. It took 30 minutes (a bit longer) to get my plate. I didnt have a receipt from the kiosk (there wasn't a receipt option). I asked twice fpr my food- for some reason they just didnt call it. The meal was definitely smaller than the Aurora location and it was not hot/ at room temperature. For $20 this is definitely not worth it. Hopefully this can improve quickly.

I wouldn't call it bad, but I also wouldn't say that's very good. Got a combo chicken katsu and bbq chicken and went around 4:30 PM and I was the only customer there. Flavor was good, but I could tell it was not very fresh. The katsu was cold but still crisp. Probably made that morning and left in the crisper, The bbq chicken was the same, maybe made the night before and just heated up. I think they can make good food, but they just aren't busy enough to keep things freshly made. Might be a best to go right when they open.

Been eating at Aurora for many many years. Tried it here few times. Bbq chicken is bland. Katsu over fried. Mac salad is skimped. Portion not even.

Eh...it was ok. My teriyaki beef bowl was dry and incredibly salty. Almost like eating a bowl of beef jerky. The teriyaki sauce is more soy sauce than teriyaki. The other item we got to-go was supposed to be Kalua pork bowl but instead we got something else. The pork in this plate or whatever dish was decent, but very salty. Overall the food was not comparable to anything we've ever had the multiple times we've been to the Hawaii Islands. This visit was 0-2 but we'd probably be willing to give another chance, whenever we're bored enough to do so.

Ordered a Loco Moco and was told that they cannot do scrambled egg on it??? Kinda sucks because I ordered it to-go and live a ways from this location and Over Easy/sunny side up are not my go to when I can't eat it immediately 😏! Just crazy to think that its a hard, one way or not at all, type of menu item🤷🏾‍♂️. Guess now I know .

It Smells like a bathroom in the restaurant so we decided to order to go, the BBQ chicken is not made the same as they do it in Hawaii, the Mac Salad is also not like they make it in Hawaii, so all in all if you go to Hawaii and eat at L&L over there it will taste better.

I've eaten here several times as it's closer than the one in Aurora. However, the food here is not that great. The pork in the laulau tastes like it's spoiled the few times that I've ordered it. The rice either comes out dried out or totally mushy. The mac salad is the only thing that is consistently good. Chicken katsu is also hit or miss. Usually overcooked or been sitting under a warmer all day.

This place is horrible, very bland, no seasoning, and whatever they're doing to the bbq chicken to make it come out as grayish purple is disgusting.

This Meal Cost me $58 Dollars Via Uber Eats. I am Highly Disappointed and Still Hungry. The Rice is Old & Crunchy, The Chicken is Raw & Bleeding , The Ribs are over cooked and I still need dinner. I am Pissed and Never knew this location existed. I eat at The Aurora Location. I will never Return! Glad ur to see someone had an Experience better than Mines.

Just absolutely slow I mean I get it you’re a restaurant not a fast food place. But I shouldn’t wait longer than 45 minutes for spam musubi and a plate with rice and a slab of meat . I don’t know maybe it’s normal to wait that long but this is my experience with this restaurant

I ordered a bbq chicken bowl. It’s just plain chicken with frozen veggie mix on top. Pretty gross, but good if you’re on a diet I guess.

Unfortunately almost all my short ribs were raw they were un edible mac salad completely bland more of a 1 star to this location the aurora location is really good

I recently hosted a wedding shower for 30 guests. I called and placed my order well in advance. I even received an email confirmation of my order as well as an email from L&L. Our party was at 2:00 and the order was to be ready to serve at 1:40. When my husband arrived at 1:40, he was told there was no record of our order and it was not ready. Fortunately, I had printed out the confirmation which my husband had with him. L&L scrambled to make our order but it took over an hour. This was an outside event and our guests were forced to wait for over an hour to eat. In addition, my husband missed half of the party, honoring his son ,while waiting for our food. Our guests enjoyed the food when it finally arrived. However, I would caution you to call and confirm your catering order the day before AND the day of the event to ensure you do not have a similar experience.

Not sure if it is this particular location or not....The rice was undercooked and bland, the macaroni salad was muh, the vegetables were generic cheap frozen vegetables that were steamed, on top of it all the only edible part of our meals was the BBQ chicken which may have actually been teriyaki...Over all the food was so sad tasting that the only flavor came from its own tears. We will not be returning. Are we missing something about Hawaiian food?
