Opinions de The Handpulled Noodle Broadway
I love this place! The food is amazing and the staff are incredibly kind. Highly recommend
Excellent hand pulled noodles. Preeentation in takeout boxes is unorthodox but extremely practical, as portions are generous.
This review is exclusively about the food because I’ve only ever gotten the noodles for takeout and delivery. This place is fantastic, it’s me and my girlfriend’s favorite restaurant in New York. Every Friday we play a game to see who asks to order it first—we order it every week! Everything I’ve ordered on the menu is excellent. The lemon pepper wings, in particular, have made me understand why lemon pepper is the preferred flavor of DJ Khaled. Try ANYTHING on the menu. You will not be disappointed.
Where do I start? The broth, fire. The noodles, fresh and delicious. This place always makes you feel like you’re having a homemade meal at grandmas house; cozy and warm. Also the staff are so sweet! A must-visit gem!
Quick service and yummy noodles in Hamilton Heights! I'll definitely become a regular here!
So happy this is located in my neighborhood! The noodles are extremely delicious. When I first discovered them I ordered from them three nights in a row. The scallion ginger noodles with chicken are my favorite and highly recommend. Only issue I ever had was one order was overwhelmingly oily. I guess the chef that day was a little off but every other time it’s been perfect.
The food is delicious and the portions are generous. I highly recommend this place if you’re craving noodles.
I love this place .. the ribbon noodles are amazing ! My favorite dish is the Dapan Zhu ! Great late night spot to eat
I love this place! it's really quick and the noodles are great. spice level is really reasonable, so don't be afraid!
Food is delicious! Highly recommend. My favorite is the veggie soup with ribbon noodles!
One of the best small scale Chinese noodle outfits in NYC! Their noodles have that quintessential wheaty chew and can be nice and spicy?
The food had very rich flavor and the portions were plenty! It was well worth it and I will definitely come back again.
The best noodles ever!! They are so delicious and made right In front of your eyes fresh for every order!!
Love love this spot. Noodles are fresh and delicious and the staff was super helpful! Sharon held me down with what to get cause I wanted to try something new!!!!! Must try!
Honestly some of the best handpulled noodles I ever had. Got traditional with beef, level two spice. Very good.
Best restaurant in the neighborhood! Scallion ginger stir fry, shrimp wontons, veggie soup… you can’t go wrong!
The food is fantastic and you can always tell how fresh the ingredients are! There was a two month stint where my partner and I ordered once every week because it is just that good. That being said, I had recently received notice that it would be of help to fantastic restaurants such as these to order directly :)
This is one of my favorite places in Uptown to get more authentic food. The food is much heartier than other Chinese eateries, and you can taste the difference in the noodles because they are hand-pulled. In addition to the noodles, many of their Street Eats like their bao sliders are worth trying. Because they specialize in northwestern cuisine, lamb is a common dish. Definitely worth the trip. It is pricier than most Chinese takeouts, but the quality is so much better.
The noodles have a very unique flavor that is amazing and my daughter loves their noodles she always is asking if we can get them.
We love handpulled noodle! Everyone is friendly and the food is delicious. Always the first place we go back in the city.
Get the noodles!! I had the curry and the flavor was great! Dumplings weren’t too bad either but it’s called a noodle company for a reason !
I’ve been coming here for the past 8 years and my favorite is the cumin lamb soup with the ding ding . The soup is delicious you can customize how hot you want it . Def recommend but they stay busy so be prepared for a long wait in the winter or during a snow storm
This place is everything I love about NYC served up one dish at a time. First off, and of the most importance the food is consistently delicious, flavorful, and well made. I have been coming here for years so this review comes after trying many different noodle dishes & appetizers. Although the food is loaded in flavor its not "heavy" which is the best part of it all. It gives you that good, full feeling. The staff is always diverse just like our city. They are consistently kind and efficient. The owner can be credited with this. I once ordered as she was training someone new and just the kindness and patience with which she was teaching him made me love this place that much more. Food is a love language, as is serving it when done correctly. The shop itself is tiny, yet beautiful decorated further adding to its charm. My favorite are the ding ding noodle which I can only compare to an Asian version of gnocchi. This place is a gem, now go check it out for yourself!!
The noodles and dumplings are outstandingly delicious. Don’t miss out on the chili oil either! Absolutely worth a visit, especially if you want to eat in.
Such a cozy little spot! The noodles were exceptional! I got the pork stew and it was the best pork I have ever had😍
I love the food and the vibe here, you guys picked a good spot to open this place. My gf introduced to this place and it hasn't disappointed me at all. I would strongly recommend others try this place out the service is great and the person at the counter is very kind. 5/5 service.
I’m a day one customer. This place has been consistently good and reasonably affordable the entire time. Portions are large, food is delicious, variety is wide. But I’m a scallion and ginger stirfry guy till I die. Thanks for all the years of service to Harlem.
I love ordering from here, the noodles are always packed full of flavor, and the textures are amazing. I usually order delivery but the space is cozy for dining in as well!
Every time I travel to NYC — I never miss a chance to stop at this amazing restaurant!!! I love their scallion ginger stir fry , buddhas veggie dumplings, and white peach tea!!
this place still slaps. i had it a long time ago when they opened and it wasn't available for delivery to the heights for sometime but i moved and was reintroduced. the noodles always have great chew and never over cooked. also the vegetables compliment the whole dish very well they always have a nice bite. little spicy is just right. it was my first time having the soup and i absolutely loved the broth it hit right on a cold night and had a really mellow ginger profile that didn't over power the flavors. not pictured but they're pork bun sandwich things are friggin bomb if you made it this far ORDER IT also the scallion pancakes are fire too
I recently came back to relive a nostalgic memory when I used to be a loyal customer through and through, relying on the warm broth and noodles to finish my day. Glad I made the trip up here. This will forever be a hidden gem.
best noodle place in west harlem !!!! everything on the menu is spectacular. my favorite quick go to for quality food and service!
The Ginger noodle is AMAZING! I’m in town from Florida and have been here twice in one week. The staff are amazing and welcoming. I would highly recommend this restaurant.
Ordered via Uber for the first time. Their chive pancake is delicious, crispy and flavorful. Their vegetable noodle soup is also full of flavor and the spice that I asked for, with my choice of delicious, chewy fresh flat noodles. I also ordered their steamed vegetable dumplings: also delicious, but something tells me they’re even better fried. I am impressed. With some other places, vegetable = flavorless or worse, vegetables plus meat. I detected no unwanted meat in my meal, and still got all the flavor I was promised. I’m happy. Everything arrived quickly and the quality matched the glowing reviews here.
I took a beef and veggies stir fry (non handpulled noodles) and chose a Lo Main. Let me tell you, I was blasted with flavors ! I selected medium spice, I really recommend that level of spiciness, it’s just perfect. The beef sauce reminds me of the Italian salsa bolognese, but more pronounced. The Loe Main was of a high quality, super satisfied overall. Will definitely explore their menu more in the future.
This place is a must go eatery if you enjoy authentic hand pulled noodles packed with flavor! Additionally, the teas and appetizers arw delicious as well.
Best noodles I’ve had in the city! Been going for years and the food is consistently incredible, and everyone is super friendly whether dining in or getting takeout/delivery. Also great vegan options! Must try the traditional stir fry!
I love the flavors of the soup broth from this restaurant, while it may not be 100% authentic, it is still flavorful and fresh. The steamed buns are also another one of my favorites.
I used to come here many times when it opened a while back and the noodles were amazing! Recently, I found out I can't eat gluten and stopped going. However, I found out that they offer gluten free option and one being sweet potato noodles and honestly you can't tell the dish is gluten free. The flavor is still rich, it pops, and the amount of food will leave you food for the day. I recommend trying their Specialty Noodles, my favorite being the Dapan Niu. Definitely one the hidden gems in the neighborhood!
I had an amazing experience at The Handpulled Noodle in NYC! The moment I walked in, I could tell this place was something special—the aroma of fresh noodles and spices filled the air. If you’re a fan of authentic, handmade noodles, this place is a must-visit. I’ll definitely be coming back!
Amazing spot! The noodles are fresh, chewy, and full of flavor every time. Great portions, fast service, and consistently delicious dishes. A true West Harlem gem — highly recommend!
Came here on a whim and was not disappointed. The flavors are amazing. Thebvegan/plant based selection is good enough that you don't feel like you're missing out on any offerings. It's a bit of a small shop, so order a bunch of food would quickly take up your neighbor's space if the shop is full, but the space isn't the main attraction here the food really is worth it.
The food was perfect, exactly as described and even better than what we imagined. We got the traditional with handpulled noodles and although I wasn’t expecting green peppers and tomatoes, it tasted delicious. We also got the dapan niu and when I tell you this was excellent, I mean it!!! We’ve unlocked a new favorite spot!
The food here is AMAZING. Try everything, from drinks to apps to mains - it is all cooked with love and it comes through in the amazing flavors. My current fave is the curry stir fry w potato noodles. YUMMMMMMY!!!
One of our top choices for a bit in our neighborhood. Our go-tos are the curry stir fry and the scallion ginger stir fry. The portions are a good size and we usually have some leftovers for the next day. The teas are fantastic (the white peach is my favorite). Always fast and delicious!
When the fridge is empty and you have a headache from not eating enough all day…. BUT it’s past 10 and the only thing delivering is fast food UNTIL you see Handpulled Noodle is open til 11 and takes orders until 10:30 online 🙏 coming in clutch hot and perfect w a yummy lychee iced tea and a cold can of soda for my neck in 25 min . Thankful for this place!
Wow!!!!! What can I say about this place? Only that it's the best comfort food on the planet. They call themselves North Western Chinese Soul Food and man do they feed your soul! We order weekly now, but the first time we got the lamb pulled flat noodle, pork and vegan dumplings. Everything was so good.Get your own and share an order of dumplings (beef and scallion are the best). All their Dumplings are perfectly fried and steamed. I also love the scallion pancakes. The pre made teas are amazing. I got Lychee, friend got Peach. Both really amazing and not overly sweetened. I am now obsessed with this place. Trust me! Get the OG Scallion Ginger handpulled noodles they are SO aromatic and delicious (I like mine chopped w seitan) the scallion pancake and lycée iced tea will not disappoint! Also I am a meat eater, but this is the -*only* place I order seitan over meat, and the only time i'll eat seitan. Theirs is so delicious and flavorful and has a unique nice texture! The veggie wontons w seitan are delicious. Also order directly from their website- its cheaper and more $ goes directly to the restaurant. Plus handpulled noodle frequently emails coupons for 20% off your order and you get "rocket bucks" off your purchase. ($1-$2 each time) Will definitely be going back again and again.
If this place were closer to our apartment, we would most certainly be regulars as the noodles here are super addictive! We ordered the spicy cumin beef noodles, and when you select the noodles, you can choose the noodle type that they make the order. We chose the wide, long, and flat noodles, And on the menu this is noted as a “ribbon” noodle. However, because this is a western Chinese restaurant, they actually say that noodles that are more like the noodles in this part of China are the ones that are small and rectangular, called chopped ribbon or ding ding noodle style. You can also indicate the level of spiciness of your noodles, so live a little bit and at least get them medium spicy! Portion size is quite large, and because the noodles are made to order, have some patience and salivate a little in anticipation of the delicious meal you will have. The drinks are also tasty here. We got the iced mango black tea, which is lightly sweetened and extremely refreshing. If you get the non-soup noodles, they will be served in a somewhat old-school Chinese takeout container that has a cute design on it. Love this spot! The cumin beef noodles we got were so good. The cumin beef flavor was very strong and tasty with just the right amount of spice and heat. The noodles were super long and super toothy, and soooo additive! Come eat here NOW!!!
This was an amazing eating experience! I loved the pancakes, dumplings and noodle dishes! I was so happy to eat at this cute place!
We love take out from Hand Pulled Noodle! The ding ding chopped noodles are my favorite. Chewy and delish. While I love spice. I stick with the low because it’s the spice on the medium or high are hella hot! If you want a cute dine in experience the counter is easy and great for people watching. And for all New Yorkers carrying their tote bags around they have those handy hooks we all love. Hot Tip. If you are getting pick up. Order while you walk so it’s ready! It’s always best to do pick up or dine in so everything is super hot and fresh.
My vegetarian friend needed to eat, and this was the only spot we found that had options for both of us that actually sounded interesting. It did not disappoint. The noodles were absolutely delicious, and the service was warm and attentive. My friend has been coming here for two years and recommended it without hesitation. Now I can see exactly why. We’ll definitely be back.
For 2 days I've eaten noodles with bok choy and jackfruit. Absolutely incredibly delicious 😋. I'm going to enjoy more noodles today a 3rd time. I highly recommend visiting this restaurant. I'm very satisfied with my order and not disappointed. 🙂😋👍🏽
I’ve been obsessed with this restaurant since 2018. Everything is delicious and made with love. I worked in the area so I always looked forward to lunch time. I stopped going for some time due to a location change at work. It’s been four or five years since my last visit. Today I was in the area for the first time in years. Even though I have much to do in my agenda today, I had to make them my first meal of the day. IT WAS JUST A MUST TYPE OF THANG!!!! Wow, when I arrived I was greeted with so much love. I explained I use to be a faithful customer and that I couldn’t remember my exact favorite ding ding dish and so I described it to her and she knew exactly what I use to get. Cumin stir fry ugh ! I was so happy and exited. Finally my order was ready. She gave it to me personally, thanked me for remembering them and gave me their signature canvas tote “so you don’t forget us” she said. When I tell you my freaking heart melted with joy… it truly did. I had to hug her and thank the chefs. Made me remember why I loved this place so much and why they’ve been in the community for so long. You are so appreciated! Thank you for the hospitality! May God continue to bless the owners and staff. The bag is dope! Ya made my day. Seriously!
We get Handpulled Noodles at least once a week. It is one of our favorites! Our favorite is the Scallion + Ginger Stir Fry with chicken, but we've tried almost all of them and they are all so good! (The Cumin Stir Fry with beef is our second favorite). If you love hand-pulled style noodles, their ribbon noodle is delicious with the right amount of chewiness. We also like the fresh pressed noodles to change it up. The noodles can be a bit spicy, so we choose low spice or no spice and it's perfect. Portions are huge! We usually order delivery from the 3600 Broadway location (West Harlem), and they usually deliver early or faster than their wait times. We've also ordered from the 370 Malcolm X Blvd location, and it is equally delicious. I highly recommend this place!
This spot is 12/10 my favorite place in the area. I recently moved to Jersey City however when I’m in the area, I make it a point to grab food from here specifically! The staff is so hardworking and nice. They always have a smile on their face and welcome any questions you may have. Love this place and you will too!
I always love hand pulled noodles. My favorites are the five-spice pork hand pulled dishes and the wonton soup. Delicious. I’m a big fan. The space is a little small, but it’s perfect for small groups (no more than 3) and takeout. Yum
Love the hand pulled noodles here! Especially the native eats. There are so many types of noodles - I want to try them all! Small interior area - okay to eat here by yourself, but with a group larger than 2 it’s better to get takeout.
This is going to be my new go to noodle spot. I was in the area and craving some hand pulled noodles and decided to check this place out. We got the traditional stirfry with the beef and ribbon noodles medium spicy so delicious excellent level of spice and we also got the pork and ginger wontons, which I highly recommend. Service was quick and easy and we ate inside.
I had the pork and chive dumplings and the beef soup with the lo mean noodles. The dumplings were packed with flavor and left me wanting more. The soup had a good base and the noodles were chewy and flavorful. I will definitely be back. Adding to my fat map! 😋 my cousin had the veggie soup and she is picky. She said the flavors were tasty and the veggies were fresh. My son had the chicken ginger soup. He enjoyed the mild flavor.
Update (4/25): Hot still means your forehead will be sweating, but you can still taste all the flavor. Delivery holds up, even if you live 50+ blocks away. The Alexander Wangs even stayed crispy with delivery. Packed with flavor. But- if you’re salt sensitive, this won’t sit well. You really can’t go wrong ordering from here if this type of regional Chinese food you’re looking for, which for means 8 out of 7 days of the week. Original (8/24): Been eating here since ‘18. That’s not a flex, that’s just letting you know I like to abuse my tongue with heat- no Diddy. Medium spice is for children. Hot will make you sweat, but you can still taste the flavor. Keep milk on the side, at the ready. Cumin and lamb options are the go to. They are not stingy with protein. The smaller the noodle, the easier it is to shove in your mouth, but you knew that already- Captain Obvi. Date spot: no Destination: yes but it’s ‘24 so delivery, Karen Portion to price: 4/5
My boyfriend and I came here for the first time ever and were really pleased! The noodles are incredible, bursting with flavor! The scallion pancakes were delicious as were the Budda’s veggies dumplings. We loved the white peach tea. The service was fast and everyone was friendly. We can’t wait to come back!
Food was good, got the curry noodle with the beef dumplings. Came out quickly and fresh. Flavors were authentic and the service was great. Definitely coming back soon!
This was my first time trying hand-pulled noodles, and it was a very pleasant experience. When we arrived, we could order either at the kiosk or the cash register. The restaurant was quiet, and our food came out quickly after ordering. I got the Dapan Ji noodles, which were delicious. I also have tree-nut and fish allergies, and when I informed the lady at the counter, she kindly let me know that most of their dishes don’t contain those ingredients, which made me really happy. The food was a bit on the salty side, but I’m sure that could easily be adjusted if you let them know to go lighter on the salt.
The sauces were not spicy, overly salty, and lacking in flavor. The noodles themselves were chewy and good but we were mostly disappointed with our dishes. The sauce in the Dapan Niu was almost ketchup-y
For dine in there is no actual bowls so you’ll be getting plastic bowls. Got the Dapan niu noodles expecting Chinese and got one the most fusion noodles I’ve eaten. The sauce or soup I suppose was very cloying and sweet really towards the end I was scraping the sauce off the noodle so I could finish it. Sauce level was fine. Just not my taste it was sweet and sour. Beef was great and noodles were perfect chewy. Noodles did happen to not be uniform thickness through out but overall great texture.
BEWARE of ordering from here. There’s a very good chance your food will not be delivered. This has happened to me more than once. They simply close for the night without fulfilling orders. Then you have to fight with Postmates or whoever to get a refund.
First, if you are looking for traditional Chinese cuisine, stay away from here, it’s 1 star for me. But if you don’t mind Americanized Chinese food, this actually 4 star for you. My Da Pan beef is sweet, which I never thought of in million years. But they do offer generous amounts of beef cubes. And the beef soup noodle has good amount of marinated beef which is good, but the soup base and noodle is no no for my traditional Chinese taste buds. Lamb burger is acceptable.
The star is for the good service. I got the ginger chicken noodle soup. The chicken was dry and tough. The soup had no flavor. Literally the only ginger in it was a few sprinkles of ginger powder. The one thing I’ll say is the bok choi and scallions were fresh and the only flavor to be had. A complete waste of money - I’d have been better off with a “fancy” packet of ramen noodles for $3.-
The worst food I've ever tasted. I love asian food and especially noodles. This was not it. I had to throw all of it away and i don't do that. I tried to eat it, but it was horrible. They serve a lot of food, which is good if it tasted good. I would never recommend it to anyone. Even the scallion pancakes were bad. How? Not good.
I ordered the seitan with extra veggies. Overall the food was mediocre. The noodles were cooked well and the order was delivered quickly. However the flavor was one note-- spicy. It didnt taste like Thai food or anything Asian. The veggies didnt appear fresh and was only bok chop or cabbage. I wouldn't order from here again.
