Opinions de Liberato Restaurant Bronx
The food is very good and the staff are friendly. Bathrooms are well maintained and the feeling is cosy.
Yummy food. They put a little too much rice on the plate but still really good food
Best food , fast service ' the best Dominican soup sancocho is served here everyday !
The food is amazing but a bit pricey.
The chicken tastes great the atmosphere outside. Isn't great, thats out of the restaurant control, it's just the neighborhood.
Everything was delicious 😊 the wait was worth it. Everyone had enough even to take home. Would definitely love to go back even with NY scary crazy traffic. 🤪
Our Uber driver, José, recommended their Sancocho. He was right!! It was the best Dominican Sancocho. Perfecto!
Very nice and clean place, they even serves my favorite meal which is white rice, beans, and goat. Yummy.
Potato salad was a bit bland but my rice and ribs were really good. Tender meat and flavorful rice
.....i always order there seafood, there red snapper large size usually about 2lbs. Broiled, friend..etc..its worth it..its fresh..
Grilled chicken, steak with onions & tostones are the best in the Bronx! Pulpo/octopus salad is outstanding. Open 24 hours a day.
If you looking for Spanish food, this restaurant is one of the best in the Bronx. I always go there with my family and we all live the food.
The food is excellent but they favor Dominicans over others when it comes to seating.
The breakfast menu blows my mind. I don't know about anything else, but it all smells and looks just awesome. I just discovered this restaurant, and I plan to return and try one dish at a time.
Omg I love their food chicken with the sauce and yellow rice and beans amazing!!! The sweet plantains were so perfect!!! Thank you and delivery was great fed my whole family with the family meal thank u again! 🤗
Wish I could leave more stars for the service food was hot Fast and Fresh .Great place for lunch
The best Dominican food out in the city. We always go there to eat. Staff is friendly and food is delicious.
The food, drinks & service at Liberato is always perfect. We order steak or chicken dinners. Food always fresh, area very clean for dining in. Delivery is quick too.
Best mofongo de camarones in town!!! Great service, tasty food and great ambiance Recommend this place
That baked chicken is so good and the white rice! Loved going here for years! Hope they re-open the location on Burnside Avenue. Good authentic dominican food in the Bronx!!!!
everything is good except the prices well some of prices are too high
Higher prices than other similar restaurants yet the service and quality make up for it. The place is nice and has a bar with a lot of food options. Breakfasts best plate is Mangu with morir soñando and lunch would be Oxtail with rice, beans with a small salad And tostones.
Chicken is good but priced $20 for one chicken and a large white rice $20 dollars.
Best Dominican spot in the Bronx , nice atmosphere with music that’s not super loud and annoying. Food is amazing I don’t care what anyone says this spot is a gem.
The real deal you be coming back again and again forget the prices everything is fresh and delicious 😋 you be back again and again cause you be hook 🪝
Been eating here over 20yrs. I LOVE THEM. The dark skin lady is the greatest she's been there since I started going. Lol. She's like familia. Their food. To get better you need to go to D. R
I have a taste of this every other week and I don’t think there is any going back 🤩 There’s a noticeable rush but the employees have a great dynamic that makes the service fast and reliable. Best chicken ever!! Sigan así mi gente 🇩🇴❤️
The food was delicious! I had the grilled chicken with rice, beans and mashed potatoes. The ladies in there are absolutely attentive to all of your needs and i never had to wait for anything. If you like bachata, salsa or on the evening i was there soft rock by camilo sesto, the music can be requested to the staff setting your atmosphere. 5 stars in all categories.
First time here, I was craving classic Dominican food and this place was just what I was looking for. Inside was clean, nice ambiance for the area. Ordered goat, chicken and oxtail. Food slapped hard, I fell asleep after. Ordered 3 plates and a side of oxtail, couple waters and a soda~ $68
The BEST chicken in the world. The place is a little bit to dark and small but food is good!
The chicharrón was delicious , just a little over fried. Awesome customer service!
Great food good service Spanish and Dominican food if u like that type go to the 183rd st right under the #4train station in the Bronx
Stopped in Liberato for a quick meal. Service was pretty good and it was not crowded. Food was good and the serving was plentiful. It was great for a quick stop.
Place is clean. Fast service. Large portions of well cooked, delicious food!
Great low key restaurant with delicious food. The churrasco there is amazing!!!! Good drinks too.
Food is Good , I'm certainly going to eat next time I'm nearby .I like the chicken! And people are friendly.
So delicious, I’ve never been here and have NOT enjoyed the food. Only thing is it’s a tight space and getting pricey.
Their chicken is a very good and they are always available on holidays. They have very good food service but don't expect the best customer service.
A good place to eat Spanish food they also have a bar there service & staff are good so is the food is recommend this place to go eat they have several large screen tv's so you can sports or the news there too
Really good tasting food for Hispanic Dominican/puertorican. Music is a bit loud so if you have a loud crowd is perfect if not, be ready to be loud while having a conversation Haha. Service isn't the best, just like any other spanish place waitress have their own unique attitude that to them doesnt seem rude but nothing like an americanize place.
Food wise is a 5 star but the restaurant is so cold inside that you have yo keep your coat on. Very uncomfortable. Food gets cold in minutes 😩
The food is very tasty. I woulda given it five stars but they didn’t give me any gravy.
Great and excellent dominican food. Be prepared with cash because they accept cards but not for tips to your waiter. If you don't bring cash your waiter / waitress won't get tipped.
They need to update their prices on google to their current prices, that’s the time you find out the this restaurant is over price, the food is ready good and delicious
Great food and fair prices. Service is always quite bad, no offense to my country, but the Dominican waitresses are always so rude. It's like that in most Dominican restaurants. My husband (Caucasian) loves the food from here and my family has been coming here for nearly 20 years.
There's only 3 places I eat when I visit this part of the Bronx and Liberato is one of them. Their food is good, the place is clean and the delivery is fast. I alternate between the chicken combo and the steak combos when I don't want to cook and not spend too much!
This place has nice ambience. The food is pretty good and you can order alcoholic beverages as well. The menu is very large including Seafood and classic Hispanic dishes as well as sandwiches and burgers. There's also a jukebox that you can play music on. The reason why I didn't give them the 5th star is because they're a bit pricey but not too much.
The Oxtail, yellow rice, red beans and sweet plantains was delicious. The service and presentation of the food was excellent. Music was a little to loud it was hard to have a conversation with my lunch date. But I was happy with my experience.
The food is heavenly, Can't say the same about the attention though. Prices are a little steep compared to other hispanic restaurants.
The bar looks really nice and the servers are there for you, but they did make some mistakes. Our order was brought out incorrectly.
It's ok they need to get more English speaking Spanish people there, food decent always a crowd also a bar area.comfortable place to eat
The grilled chicken is good, but don't ever make the mistake of ordering sweet plantains (Maduros)
Everything was good Food Service atmosphere great vibe. I'll be back again
Good food, that's all I can say. Best Sancocho around. Lunches are too expensive. Up the hill you can go to Que Sabrosura and get good food for around $3 less. The service is poor, I only know one woman who has a good attitude compared to them all. They have the best grilled chicken too, with mojito. The workers recently protested against harassment and wages. Oh, and if you don't speak Spanish go with a translator.
Food is decent just not as good as it was years ago. Definitely not worth the price especially considering the area we are in. I ordered a lunch w/ Dominican sausage rice and beans. I didn’t ask for maduros they added 3 old pieces which you could tell it was old and been sitting out and only gave me 3 pieces of sausage. For $16 bucks! & the beans dont have to much flavor to me had to pick out alotmof stuff. I do love their cereza juice, but I’ll go elsewhere for food not worth it! Was super disappointed with this meal last time trying.
Food normally is good in here but in my last visit they served me a bad octopus salad. My biggest concern was that by looking at the salad i already new it was bad and smells weird too. I prefer to go to their other location better even if they take longer to serve you. When it comes to chicken and their famous drink LA Sammy Sosa they the best.
The food is delicious. The restaurant is clean. The only reason I’m giving them 3 stars is their delivery time is horrible they average an hour to deliver your food. I have cancelled multiple orders cause of that. One time I waited almost 2 hours. The only reason I keep ordering from there is that theirs no other place that cooks this good around smh I think they take advantage of that. I usually order to pick up
Food was enjoyable for taste, but there was nothing special about the way it looked. The restaurant itself was cozy, but the server and the woman behind the counter didn't speak English well (which is fine for locals, but I ain't local) or present themselves in any special way. What I'm saying is the place looks nice inside and outside but there are some flaws on the inner workings; at least that's what I took from my experience.
Food is incredibly overpriced. i ordered a basic lunch of Moro and chicken which in places near by, cost 6 bucks However here it cost me 10.
We waited a long time for the order to be taken. My husband didn't get his drink until everyone finished eating. Waitress was okay
Ive been here 2 times and both times the roasted chicken was harder than a rock and extremely burnt, The prices were overpriced for the quality. Beware!!
Expensive for the food and portions being served. Had shrimp in garlic sauce .. tasteless. Very small portion of the dish but a huge mound of rice. $25 -4pcs shrimp and no garlic taste in sauce. Try Portuguese restaurants or real Spanish restaurants.
Oxtail with rice and salad taste great. However, please check your food before eating it as I found long hair in my oxtail order.
First time here and this is what I think of the place. Food below average. I ordered rice beans with steak. It took regular time to bring the food but when it came to my table the steak was cold, I had to send it back. The table where they put me in was next to the restroom and I could smell the bad odor. Also there is an AC right next to my table and my legs were freezing. I noticed it after I got up from the table so not a very good first experience in here. The service was the only good thing fast and friendly.
Food is delicious but the service sucks. They took over an hour to get my order done. Had to call and let them know that I ordered over an hour ago. A lady answered and seemed like they completely forgot about my order and left me waiting on the phone to then tell me they are now just getting my order ready........
Man I have brought food from this restaurant and like in this restaurant man the workers are pretty nice and the food is so good
For lunch decided to go here. The restaurant has very nice decor. Some staff are nice and greet you with a smile and others are not personable. My waitress did not check on me not one time after taking my order. The pastelios I ordered were cold in the middle. And for how long my food came it was not piping hot more like Luke half warm. The bartender was way more attentive to me than my waitress. Food is decent but not much to rave about. My maduros were not cold but not Luke warms and they ain’t seem fresh.
I called 15m before and I still had to wait 20 minutes more in side customer service really bad also chicken on the raw side plus they don’t give you the whole chicken pieces missing
First time at this Restaurant", service was lousy, We got the wrong food order,,, not to argue with the waitress we reorder'ed,,,,, the Goat stew was Good!....
Food is overpriced, not worth the price. I used my Apple Pay and was charged twice for my order.
The price of the food are ridicules. For simple lunch. ( rice. Beans. Chicken. ) 10 dollars.? And the girl's Have a really bad attitude.... Never again.
Food is very expensive and the restaurant over stuffs with rice and no meat. I was better off getting a lunch in the bodega.
This place sucks ..so expensive for nothing..they're staff is rude a.f.. if your dining at the one at Burnside avenue in The Bronx.. can't wait for that CARIDAD RESTURANT in Burnside and Walton to open.. it's gonna blow this business away!!!!
DO NOT ORDER THE STAFF IS IRRESPONSIBLE WITH DELIVERY TIME. I ordered a lunch at 12:30 and it’s 230 and I’m waiting for the food to arrive. LEAVE THIS PLACE ALONE
This restaurant is a joke. Why is the 1/2 chicken without rice and beans $7, but $16 with the rice and beans? We paid $9 for rice and beans? Never again.
This restaurant is crazy they have great food that taste amazing but they just make their own prices. One day is $10.00 then i go again and its $15.00 dollars for the same food. I went a third time and they want to chagre $18.00. Again its all for the same food . They charge you whatever they think its suppose to be that day. I cant go there no more. Even if the food is good.
This place is awful. How is it that a half chicken is $7 but a half chicken with rice and beans is $16?? $9 for rice and beans? Lol. How is the rice and beans more expensive than the chicken??? Its not like the food was the most delicious food I've ever eaten or the place is fancy or anything. In fact service was horrible. My gf and I had to sit ourselves, the waitress only brought me a water and didn't bring her one. No bread or anything. Needless to say I was outraged when I saw the bill was $34 for a mori soñando , a 3 golpes and my chicken and rice and beans. Any other restaurant I've eaten at the chicken combo is $10 the most, but $16? My gf and I paid the bill, but I won't ever eat there again. I don't even want to LOOK at this restaurant when I walk by it, lol
Food is way too expensive and it isn't even that good...I'm not sure there are so many reviews saying that the food is good...especially their roasted chicken which is extremely dry (almost burnt)! They also have poor customer service!
Ordered three drinks- they took so long I had to cancel the order, but they then gave me one that had just been sitting at the bar. The mojito they served me had no mint. They provided the bill with one price, then charged my card for almost $5 more. The guy at the register would not hand my card over. He was holding it hostage until I signed the receipt (who does that?!). I demanded he gave me my card before I signed anything. Service was terrible from beginning to end. I will not be visiting this place again.
My mom brought me a boneless fried chicken chunk combo and it was nasty fry in dirty oil and the chicken old moving the chicken around to try and find a good piece I found 1 inch metal wire in the chicken disgusting told my mom never buy me a thing from liberato restaurant they are nasty and give you refry old chicken. Chunks
Horrible. As a loyal customer, these people RIPPED ME OFF AND CHARGED ME $15 for a Morir Sonando in return. ABSOLUTELY unacceptable, do not come here if you don't speak Spanish. They will take advantage of you! I pray to see this establishment SHUT DOWN for GOOD!!
Experience was horrible, the lates reviews are from 6 to one year old, now it's a monopoly with the proof of vaccination card, if your card xpired just pay a low fee, if you don't have one just pay a fee, people walk in and out like there's no pandemic, food expensive for small portions, the staff is friendly, that being said, the Vax is is a joke and a discrimination for those who just buy food to take home.. A one star
Not sure why people post so many good reviews over this place, went the other day with my wife and after been seated we got up the table and left due to the extreme high prices over food that is even tax free over the supermarket 🤷🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️I went there for a mofongo seafood and it was 35 dollars alone without any type of drink or taxes I probably may have ended up paying over 45-50 for each 🤷🏻♂️I mean don’t get me wrong I don’t mind paying for food but I prefer to get more for what I’m paying and they are way over priced I’m sorry but I wouldn’t recommended✌🏻
Horrible customer service!!!! One I had asked to order my food over the phone and they denied me because they felt I was going to not pick it up. Then I go order my food in person, and I waited!!! They mistakenly gave my order to another person and then they made me wait even more and gave me less food because they felt they had lost from giving the other guy more food and charged him less. Like how does that make sense! Never ordering food from here ever again!!!
the food is horrible.my husband just ordered a paper steak i almost throw up. the meat look like it was cook for dogs. my cat hate it too. i left the food uncover to run to the computer to write this. i found my cat smelling the food and covering the steak like she covers her poop when it is stinky and when she does not like something, jajajaja she was covering the steak with a glove. disgusting my husband finally gave up, he told me he will never going to order from there again and he eats anything. it was boiled in oil and the meat was faty, grosssssssss Eeeeeeeeak.... it was suppose to be a staek not left over for dogs, they should get someone that cook like a real dominican. rice too grease and the beans no good. no more Liberato for me. the price has gone over the roof you would think the the food at list be eatable.
I could not place an order in person because i don't speak english. The manager who also barely speaks English, informed me that it is a "spanish" restaurant therefore i should have to order in Spanish. I left and went to Kennedy's. I cant do stupidity in any language . not to mention the protests every summer by undocumented immigrants for low pay. Guess some people won't learn till they're shut down.
My first rating. Sadly giving it one star. It's all about quantity not quality. Paid $40.00 for two orders for my wife and I and the food wasn't great. This restaurant is off my list.!
Grill chicken, large plate of rice and large beans 54 dollars.
The food was garbage, ordered shrimp scampi with tostones, nasty work,no flavor,my lady ordered rice & beans with pernil, basura! The cook needs to go back to washing dishes or culinary class!!!👎🏼
I'm surprise that an establishment like this can operate in NYC. The fish I ordered was not cook properly, the soup was brought at the same time as the main course.they were roaches coming out of the wall into the table .my complain to the manager was ignored. This place should be avoided until the City inspection is properly done. .
Just ordered a $20 order of roast pork which the server gave me all burnt and dried pieces. Please check your order before you leave. If only I could’ve posted a picture to show you the platter you would be pissed off too. Not good.
This place has so much potential but they cut too many corners. Shrimp scampi with no pasta is unacceptable. You get served basically a shrimp soup. Chicken breast with mushroom sauce is just chicken breast with can mushrooms and the liquid from the can on top. Place needs better management
I have ordered over the phone, rotisserie chicken and it was terrible!! DRY DRY DRY Another time I stopped in and figured I may have a different experience but the food was crap for the price! That was over a year ago. Recently I happened to be walking home and decided to give it another try and ordered HALF chicken with rice and bean, no drink $18. DRY chicken....lesson learned! I don't mind spending money on food if it is good, but these people making money and can't make decent food. Never again
Yesterday night after work we ordered food received it the next dat 1.5 hours later green bananas with baked chicken($20) I usaully pay $10 aguacate ($6) and spaghetti ($6) with a Coca Cola soda ($5) they took so long I got my food literally the next day cold the soda was hot. the bananas were under cooked the chicken was under cooked the aguacate wasn't ready to eat too hard. I will not order here ever again I will make sure my friends and family never order from here. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone not even my worst enemy. If I could give less than one star I would. I don't know what these people in this reviews are talking about but after trying it for myself trust me this place is no good. they are crooks stealing from their own community I will email BBB and my bronx boro president to investigate this so called restaurant.
