From the first moments, we felt respect and understanding from him. During the celebration, he fulfilled any of our whims, and it felt like we were his only clients, even though there were many other guests around. Thanks to Gabriel, the celebration went perfectly. I can not express how grateful I am from my birthday party at this beautiful place ( was on Thursday June 29 ) ! Starting with amazing manager Gabriel , who is very polite and attentive to every detail and request. He help me choose the best banquet menu with perfect money value. The food was outstanding, everything was so fresh and delicious, we can’t finish even the half . Salads, sushi , salmon , sea bass and many more super good! The servers was just the best, they help me with decorations , was very caring and never rush us , we have plenty of time to enjoy everything. Good ethnic place to visit if you miss home. Some of the menu items are not quite traditional Azeri. Like sushi. Loved the lule kebab with green salad and aubergine with nuts. Don't recommend the assorted kebab as most if it was rather dry. Awesome black tea with Napoleon cake.

A very large and beautiful restaurant with International fare, including Azerbaijani, Uzbek, Russian and European. Great live music and dancing on weekends only. Reservations are necessary for large parties. Dress to impress on weekends, casual during the week. They have outdoor seating space and open late night.

I had my engagement party here and it was one of the most memorable nights of my life - Baku palace really went all the way to impress me and my friends. They worked within my budget and helped me pull off what felt like a super-star event - from the equisite food (oysters and foie gras were on the menu) to the live music (Baku has unbelievable in house talent - sax players and singers) - me and my guests were blown away at the night that we had at this venue. Highly recommend - would leave 6 stars if I could.

Nobody throws a party like Baku. We had 40 people for my 30th birthday party. My family is Russian and we’d go growing up, but all my friends are American and they had the best time. We had our small wedding at Baku Palace on a Saturday night. Everything was perfect. The ceremony room was set up and decorated beautifully. Wild European experience. Stage performances, flashing lights, lasers and air blast machines for days! Love it. Loved the revolving door of ethnic foods. Loved the singers. Loved the over the top decor.

My wife and I hosted our wedding here. Wow! We got so many compliments from our family and friends. They were blown away by the azeri level of service, the quality of food and the volume! (Kutavi, Lamb chops, plov and smoked fish are amazing). This place is elegantly decored inside, with modern sound system and lighting. Their visting entertainment lead by Nourdain is also outstanding. Great range in singing performances and DJing and coordinated well with an outside band. They made our special night truly a night to remember. Shout out to El Dar and the excellent wait staff. Bravo.

Celebrated my birthday here more than once. Before and after Covid. Always great food, music, service and atmosphere. Napoleon pastry is a killer!! I love to see my American friends reaction as they experience Russian restaurant for the first time. It's a unique experience and a positive one. Attended a wedding here, it was spectacular. Baku went above and beyond to make our micro wedding stress free, beautiful and delicious in a short period of time. We had 40 people and all our guests were raving about multiple aspects of the wedding. The ceremony and cocktail hour was elegantly decorated and they provided a movie screen to play our slide show and made interesting backgrounds for photos. Gabrielle did an incredible job with organizing the servers. After the ceremony the fresh food kept coming. There was rarely a dirty plate on the table due to how attentive the servers were. Each course that came out was as delicious as the next. There was so much food and a diversity of it too. Some highlights of our favorites were the shih kebab that came out displayed with flames of fire and the sushi. They even had glass cokes on every table. Anna the bar tender did an excellent job making sure all the alcohol we brought was served. Eldar the manager was terrific at helping us organize the day. The DJ, Alex, was also excellent: livening up the party, very funny, knew when to fade the music out and when to turn it up and also made sure we got to do all our special events that we planned for the day. The whole family was very happy.

We had our wedding at Baku on October 2nd and to this day our guests and us cannot stop talking about how wonderful everything was. Thanks to Eldar, Baku exceeded our expectations. Eldar was a pleasure to work with. Everyone was accomodating. The food was delicious and the presentation was perfect. Everyone made sure that we and the guests were taken care of all night. We already know this is the only place we will be having all our future celebrations.

We got married at Baku Palace in July 2025 and could not be happier. Eldar worked with us to create an unforgettable experience and was very kind and accommodating throughout. The head waiter, Gabriel, accommodated all our guests and his wait staff provided great service which is rare to see nowadays. Our guests loved the food which ranged from lamb chops to sushi to Russian salads. We also had an impressive dessert table included by the respiration. God damn this is GREAT FOOD. I’ve eaten here multiple times and ordered something else every time. EVERY TIME I basically lick my plate clean. GET THE LAMB CHOPS A LA BAKU!!!!! Sometimes it doesn’t come with a fire. But ask for it. You can toast your lamb chops and get a perfectly crispy outside and a tender inside. Oooohh and if you want to book a party ask for Eldar, he knows exactly how to make your party amazing!!!

Great place to learn about Azerbaijan cuisine. They have a very extended menu with dishes not only from Azerbaijan but from other countries too. Just ask your server about recommendations. They have two separate dining rooms: casual (just for dining in) and a kind of party room where everyone is invited to have a good time, great food, dancing, and entertainment all night long. Our server Rovshan was professional and helpful. 20% gratuity is included in your bill. If you are in the area, I recommend you to visit this eatery.

My friends and I went to Baku for a Valentine’s Day party and had a great time! The food was delicious, as always, and the drinks were fantastic. They also had a promotion for complimentary wine that night, which was such a nice bonus. I had an incredible dinner at Baku Palace recently and left feeling very satiated. We decided to go for a mix of everything and were blown away by the quality. The prime rib and ribeye steak were both cooked exactly right, and having them with the mashed potatoes made for a perfect, hearty meal. We also tried the octopus salad and the fried calamari, which were both super fresh and seasoned well. The whole vibe of the place is great for a night out, and the performance by Anastasia really adds something special to the atmosphere. It’s definitely the best spot in the area for this kind of food, and I’m already planning to come back here with my family very soon.

Omg, he was so kind, taking care all the clients (allergy restrictions) and taking pictures if any client asking, checking if everything is okay, making to go box(that was so surprising in the US,otherwise it is usual in Europe) even he gave us additional 20% discount. Beautiful venue, they have 2 floors & an outdoor terrace elevator with street exit, very popular place and pretty expensive. Definitely book way in advance as they are often booked out, very popular with weddings and other big events. First floor and a terrace are less formal, while 2nd floor is as formal as it gets. Formal weddings & other big events are normally hosted on the 2nd floor. However, you might be sharing a floor with other people & parties , unless you are ready to rent out the whole floor. They have live music , dancing and live show “Arabian nights” themed. The food is mostly good, and beautifully presented. I would highly recommend both lamb chops and all whole fish dishes, as well as combination seafood in white sauce, they are excellent. During big celebrations we often ordered their signature dish, salmon baked in salt , the portion is pretty large, I would say enough for party of upto 20 persons. They make a whole show of serving it, chef comes to the floor, accompanied by fire, very presentable and fancy. It normally normally is served with side of rice. All salads are excellent. However, during our last visit, I had ordered filet mignon combo with lobster tail and cannot recommend it - a huge disappointment - I asked for filet medium rare and it arrived way overcooked, looking more like a beef stew and lobster tail hardly had any meat on it . Service was good, a lot of waitstaff, everything arrived timely, especially considering that they were fully booked, having had about 8+ large parties going . Their Napoleon dessert is delicious.

I went w my friends so 5 people food was delicious place also comfortable I like it but Service not good, we ordered mix kebab and two salad after that I told Napalion for dessert it’s take so long and they forgets about this when I ask about check after that they remember about napalion so check comes with Napoleon it’s funny, for this they charge $265 tip it’s inside u want give tip or not doesn’t matter they will charge 18% $40 So, for food 5 ⭐️because it’s so delicious for Service 1 ⭐️because so poor!

Based on Google review seemed like a good place, went there for a birthday party very disappointed. The food kind of OK does not meet the Russian style as you would normally be accustomed to get in a Russian restaurant. The appetizers were not even in a plate, they made it on a piece of tiny bread your salmon and whatever else came with it . Quantity is tiny. Salmon tartar as one would normally get round puck, shared between 2 to 4 people, ins this case It was one for 10. It is uncommon when you walk out of a restaurant with banquet pricing and you are still a bit hungry. The food was scarce. The lamb chalahach they brought out one rib per person sadly enough. I didn’t get one considering somebody grabbed two, just seems awful considering the price per person. Now moving onto service also not good. Started serving food, because the food was scarce it’s just not enough so they figured they would serve one piece of something in everybody’s plate. That process was faulty as well, they would stop in the middle and just go somewhere only serving half the table. Would not go back there, nor recommend a place .

Bland food, grilled vegetables were not grilled, eel salad contained minimal amount of eel, lousy sauce. Small servings, high service fee (can not be added to the bill withoutAbsolutely indifferent staff. We were totally disappointed

Recently was invited to a wedding at this place. The service was good but the food and music were subpar. If youre looking to eat bizarre food combinations including cold fried calamari with mandarin oranges wedges and foi grois over pears cooked in cinnamon syrup then book your next event here. Sound system was so loud you could barely hear yourself think and singers basically lip sync over corny songs from over thirty years ago

Serious circumstances are forcing me to write this complaint. My friends and I celebrated the birthday of a friend at the Baku restaurant on June 4, 2022. It was good and tasty. We were shown a show with fish cooking. Then we went dancing and I slipped and fell on my back, holding the floor with my right hand so as not to hit my head. Friends saw that there were stains on the floor, probably from the mass, but with which the fish was being prepared, and pieces of fish. I was shocked. I didn’t think that I had broken my arm, I didn’t call an ambulance, although they offered me. I didn't take a picture of the place where I fell. One man ran up to me and sprayed Lidocaine on my hand. Friends were confused. I was escorted home and put on ice. The pain got worse and I took painkillers. The next day I was taken to CITYMD on KINGS HWY. The x-ray showed a broken wrist. I went to Dr. Wert. They put me in a cast and I walked with it for 2 months. When my cast was removed, I started going to physiotherapy, which cost me money, as well as visits to doctors. I had insurance Medicare Advantage plan Aetna. I couldn't do anything with my right hand. I filed a lawsuit with a lawyer, he requested a video, but they refused to submit it. Now the lawyer filed a lawsuit, because. They did not agree to the agreement. They say that it's my own fault and they don't want to pay money, but I will have an operation in September, but a knee replacement and then rehabilitation, and it will cost a lot of money, because I don't have MEDICAID. They are dishonest people, they do not want to admit that it is their fault 100%. After the show they didn't clean the floor and it was slippery. What should I do? I hope for your decision to the restaurant to pay me worthy material and moral compensation. There are 3 witnesses, they saw everything and can confirm. Certainly, it was necessary to call an ambulance and take pictures of everything, but I was stressed, and my friends did not realize. Omg. The worse restaurant. I was there and they had about 10 birthday celebrations with about dozen little kids running and screening out of control. Then they started inviting every family with birthday to the stage and taking pics of them. This lasted about 1 hour. The show was good but way to loud with too many people and kids running around. Never coming here again. Too stressful. If you want relaxing atmosphere, forget about this place. I wish they would told us that they had about 10 birthday family celebration with tons of kids. We would never come here.

Visited Baku Palace recently and was really disappointed. The food had no flavor at all, and the service felt slow and uninterested. The whole place feels stuck in the 90s, like nothing has changed in decades. Overall, not a good experience, and I won’t be coming back.

Food is decent. Price is not cheap. The issue is that we had to clean hall ourselves. There were broken glasses, very sticky. Staff were rather rude, including bar. I understand that they might be paid very little and demanded to work a lot, but still charging fine dining restaurants prices not fair.

I had an extremely disappointing experience at Baku Palace. The food was poorly prepared and lacked flavor, clearly not up to the standards one would expect for the prices they charge. The waitstaff were rude, unprofessional, and seemed to have no idea how to do their jobs properly. The pricing did not reflect the quality or service at all. To make matters worse, the music was unbearably loud and outdated, making it hard to enjoy the meal. The performers appeared to be lip-syncing, which only added to the lackluster atmosphere. As for the management, it was a disaster. The manager was completely incompetent, seemed intoxicated, and was more focused on personal matters than overseeing the operations of the restaurant. I would not recommend celebrating weddings, birthdays, or any special events here. This place is far from what it claims to be, and I would never suggest it to anyone looking for a quality dining experience.

We were celebrating Birthday at this location - and what a mockery it was! Unfortunately, it is a ghost, a shell of a place it used to be! The service was poor, we had to constantly ask for more water, there was no service in general, and no waiter by the table for us to ask any questions. The salads and appetizers we ordered were ridiculous - the size portion was made for an infant! We ordered a few tuna salads as we had a large company and each tuna salad had only 4 pieces of fish! while costing almost $20!! - that is for 4 small pieces of tuna! Don't start me on the Duck salad - instead of a grilled duck meat we got duck FAT salad with no meat! Ridiculous! Basically, they charge an arm and a leg for a below average food with no service. I remember going to this place a few years ago and THAT was an experience! Now the place is an unfortunate joke.

In the 90-es I worked as a wedding photographer in Russian restaurants for 5 years and it felt like I was brought back to those times, but it was much worse. Gaudy, gilded interior, sour-faced managers look like they are doing you a favor to let you in, singers who tried to cover up lack of their vocals by cranking up the volume. Our party had several elderlies who needed to use an elevator and it was out of order (management was not even a hint of apologetic that we had to carry wheel-chaired person up/down the stairs, not even offering to help). No advertised Arabian Nights show on Saturday night. And don't get me started on food which was an utter disappointment - plentiful but of such a subpar quality. Greasy lulya-kebab and pork chops, dry salmon - not even one decent dish. The only positive out of this was our waiter Nick who was very courteous and attentive. Suggest you spend your hard-earned dollars elsewhere.

Food is lower quality, waiter is pushing you to order old cold cuts, when you refuse , still bring it and charge for it. He took advantage of party of 10. Way overpriced for the service and food quality plus 20% service charge for no service

This establishment ruined my valentines day with my boyfriend. It was our first valentines day together and everything- the staff, the Azerbaijan man in the front when you check in was so nasty. Food was so bad I'm sitting in the car going home so nauseous. They are also discriminating people because I am not one of them. Please do not go here. There are plenty of good other Russian restaurants in the area who will not treat you like this.

We didn’t want to leave a review for a long time, but unfortunately our feelings took over. It was my mother’s birthday and she really wanted to visit this restaurant. The second floor had left her with good impressions before, but this visit did not make us happy at all. All the decorations in the hall are very old and have not been updated for years. Now in more detail: We were greeted in a very rude manner — without even standing up, without saying hello, just pointing to the direction where we should go. We asked several times to be seated on the second floor, but since there was no space, we were sent to the first floor. That’s fine, but it could have been done much more politely. When we sat at the table (we weren’t even escorted), the waiter forgot the wine list and didn’t even know that such a menu existed. It was unpleasant, but we decided to ignore it. In the background, a video projector shows clips from 2003 made in a Microsoft program with floating fish, and if you ask for music, you will be refused. My mother tore her tights because there was a nail sticking out of the chair. So please be careful — the worn-out tables can also injure you, as all the furniture is scratched and damaged. The food. It was terrible. Even at home you could cook better. The chicken tabaka was dry and impossible to eat. The cocktails are overpriced and pointless, and we didn’t even finish most of the dishes we ordered. The conclusion of this evening is that we had to urgently look for another place to celebrate at the very last minute. If you don’t have a big event for 20 people or more on the second floor, don’t even try to have a good time there. I want to warn others about my experience at Baku Palace Restaurant (Brighton Beach, Brooklyn). When my friends and I arrived, there was a celebration going on . The manager, who identified himself as Azerbaijani, asked us to wait. After we received the menu, we couldn’t find the food we wanted and decided to leave. The manager strongly insisted that we stay and offered a “big meat meal” for a group of 4 people, including meat, salad, and juice. We agreed to stay. However, when the food arrived, it was clearly not a meal for four people. It looked like food for only two people and appeared to be leftover meat and kebabs from the celebration that had just ended. The food did not look fresh. We complained about this. When it was time to pay, they refused to accept card payment and demanded cash. A waitress who spoke Russian and appeared to be from Kyrgyzstan handled the payment terminal. Each time we tried to pay with debit or credit cards, he pressed the buttons very quickly and did not allow us to enter our PIN correctly. Our cards were declined multiple times, even though they were working fine. It felt intentional. They also said the price would be higher if we paid by card, which was very suspicious. Eventually, we were forced to pay cash. Later that night, everyone in our group had diarrhea, which strongly suggests food poisoning from that food. This experience felt dishonest and unsafe—from the food quality to the payment process. I am sharing these details so others can recognize a similar situation with the same staff members. I strongly recommend avoiding this restaurant.

We went to Baku Palace in Brooklyn for New Year’s Eve with a group of 9 people. Before arriving, we were told the price would be $350 per person for food, drinks, and the show. Once we were there, the price suddenly became $450 per person. The food quality was very poor and not worth the money at all — we actually left still hungry. For such a high price, the experience was extremely disappointing. I will never visit this restaurant again.

Wonderful place, but the owner — or whoever he was — is a jerk. He threatened to remove the wheels from a guest’s car because it was parked too close to his blue BMW X5. He refused to accept either the apology or the fact that there was no other place to park, clearly displaying an inflated ego. I do recommend the place itself: the service, food, and all the other staff were excellent.

Terrible Experience at This Restaurant – I Strongly Advise You to Stay Away I want to share the terrible experience my friends and I had, so you don’t make the same mistake. We bought tickets for what was advertised as a “show,” costing $60 per person + $10 for taxi ($70 total). It was clearly stated that no one under 21 would be allowed, but this was a complete lie — the place was full of children running around and screaming. There was no real show either. The ticket also claimed there would be unlimited drinks, but what they served was neither unlimited nor alcoholic — watered-down, low-quality drinks that one overwhelmed employee could barely prepare on time. The service was awful. The food — terrible. And the waiter — dishonest and aggressive. We asked if they had a meat assortment. The waiter said yes, but when the bill arrived, every single meat item was charged separately, making the price much higher than expected. When I asked him to explain the difference and why everything was charged individually, he responded aggressively and basically admitted they had lied. We also ordered an avocado salad, and in the end, the lettuce and the avocado were charged separately, which makes no sense at all. I asked to speak with the manager, which irritated the waiter even more. After discussing the issue, and once they realized everything was clearly their fault, they finally gave us a discount — but that does not change the fact that the whole experience was stressful, unpleasant, and dishonest. In my opinion, the manager has no idea how to run a restaurant, and places like this should be inspected and held accountable to protect customers from being misled. My friends and I will never go back, and I do not recommend anyone to waste their money and get stressed the way we did. Once again, absolutely terrible experience — don’t let them fool you. THIS RESTAURANT IS TERRIBLE With STAFF PLEASE PLEASE DONT GO THERE NEVER EVER!!!

I was first time there and it will be last time I go there. Terrible service, staff and food. Tickets were sold for $70 where we were supposed to see a laser show 🙄🤷‍♀️.They said it was 21+. Children should not be allowed at a show that says 21+, there were minor children running around.I enjoy going to family places.But that day we weren't supposed to go to such a place. This ticket included unlimited drinks. You can't trick people into selling tickets and making them drink a watery cocktail. We were also scammed and lied to when ordering food from the menu. Unqualified terrible disrespectful service.I have never had such a terrible experience.
