Opinions de Berry Park Brooklyn
It's always a good vibe at Berry Park. The food, service, and ambiance are always on point. It's a younger crowd, but anyone can fit in comfortably. The hash browns at brunch are a must-have!
Nice location - beside COVID rules, service was okay and 'on time'. Nice view from the Rooftop Decent selection of beers - nothing exceptional Burgers were good ! Chickpeas burger was surprisingly delicious ! I recommend it !
I enjoyed this place a lot when I lived near by in Greenpoint. These are some photos from a proposal I captured out front in 2020. Would have been fun to shoot this on the rooftop but covid got in the way. You know how it is. Anyway, great staff, and McCarren Park across the street is a great little spot for proposal and engagement photos. We ended up walking to the water after these shots.
I came here for happy hour and it was awesome. The weather was very cooperative that day, so I went to the rooftop. The drinks were well made, and although the food menu was limited, the food that I ate was very good. The views from the rooftop remind me of how fortunate I am to live in this great city. I will definitely come to Berry Park again.
Great place to spend the day/night with friends. Cool atmosphere both upstairs and downstairs. Good drinks and food. Can definitely get pricey though. Great views of the city. The retractable rooftop makes it a cool spot all year round.
Awesome place to hang out and have a few drinks with friends. Food is above average while prices for the area is average. If your looking for domestic beers, this isn't the place, as they only stock German beers. The up side is that it's great beers and worth venturing out of your norm to try. Enjoy!!!
Great chill rooftop bar in Brooklyn. Reasonably priced drinks. It’s not the typical rooftop you think of since it’s not that tall of a building. But it’s a big space with lots of seating and nice views. Gives off a vintage vibe with its hanging lights and old wooden architecture. Also there was no cover so that’s always a plus in my book.
Very chill and spacious. Large interior area with big screens and a huge rooftop. We hung out upstairs to take in the sunset and have some frozen drinks and draft beer. The service was also on point. What more can you ask for?
The DJ 6Pm this Sunday Was on fire ! got to give them a great list ! The Bartender with the Dark Brown Curls was amazing ! Served us with Smile and the Beers was great ! It made the Place feel Welcoming for Patrons compared the the Dolly Bar.
Held a private event here. The organizers were extremely responsive and helpful and the space was absolutely amazing. Thanks to Jon + the rest of the Berry Park team for an amazing party!
Pretty crowded on the weekends, but there is a great roof top bar that is half enclosed and an indoor arena with life-size beer pong (volley balls and trash cans) down stairs that makes up for it. Definitely a perfect spot to go to with a big group.
Had a great time here at Berry Park. Alyssa was good vibes! There should be more bartenders like her - she made sure me and my friends were having a good time!
Came here for the first time last Sunday... the vibes were amazing. Rooftop DJ played the whole day into night. The bartenders were super friendly and made us feel right at home. Bartenders Alyssa and Rene were so much fun... it was a bit busy but they managed to deliver everything with a smile. Will DEFINITELY be back!
Amazing After Party! Berry Park’s rooftop is the perfect venue to keep the wedding party going. Jessie advised us on a food/beverage menu and her team set up so when we arrived at midnight it was a seamless transition. Our guests continued to eat, drink and dance until 3:00 am. Such a fantastic venue!
A cozy, vibrant neighborhood spot and one of the few places that you can make reservations for larger groups for free. Their rooftop is lovely and has an amazing view of the city! Highly recommend to anyone who is looking to host a party, relax with friends, and have a great time!
Berry park is one of my favorite places. Great vibes, good drinks, food, great staff and an incredible ambiance. Out of all the places and bars that i've been in Brooklyn I would say this is top of my list! The rooftop is incredible especially on a Saturday afternoon. I planned my birthday on the rooftop and the staff/ management was so extremely helpful with the booking process. would definitely recommend having a party here or just stopping in on the weekend for a few drinks with friends! 100/100 recommend!!!!
Highly recommend Berry Park for your event needs!! We hosted a post wedding brunch here and our expectations were exceeded to say the least! Jessie and team are absolutely incredible - the food, rooftop setting, and service were all top notch. Every step of the way, the team was supportive in ensuring everything ran smoothly and fit the vision we were looking for. Thank you so much again - Berry Park will hold a special place in our hearts forever!
I hosted a fundraising event with 300+ people and could not be more grateful for the full Berry Park staff. With their help, we were able to donate $20k to the ALS Cure Project. We hosted an open bar and everyone from the bartenders to event staff were great to work with. I strongly recommend hosting an event at Berry Park or going for a drink/food. View of the city is awesome and perfect location.
I really liked their rooftop area. Perfect coverage for a rainy day brewery in Brooklyn. It’s close to a bunch of food spots and the spacing is nice for a large group. Bar tenders were also pleasant and helpful. Definitely would recommend for a bday party or large group outing.
Great bar with an rooftop area. In the winter there is a covered section outside so you can still sit out on the rooftop. Not your typical beer selection but great beers here. Some great cocktail options as well. The food is good and comes out pretty quickly. Great ambiance and music there is a DJ
I came here for a birthday party and we had an awesome time! Such a fun spot, rooftop is spacious and the drinks were great and reasonably priced. Already planning the next time we'll be back
This is a very cool place. Old factory turned into a bar I assume. Ideal to see sports on a big screen. Price are good. It brings relatively young people. The most important part is the rooftop which is quite spacious. Not sure if the rooftop is open during winter time thought. I would recommend easily if you are in the neighborhood.
Nice place for drinks with friends. Hudson cider was fabulous and very much appreciated by this cider loving Brit. Grass fed burger was good, nice to have the option to choose a side salad with it. Staff were charming, service efficient.
Incredible selection of drinks and even better vibe. Check out the roof, it’s a great spot to have a drink with a great view of the skyline during the day or at night. Also a great place to have a birthday party!
This has grown to be one of my favorite bars in NYC! From the music, to the drinks and even the views/aesthetics this place makes for great vibes! The food I’ve ordered has always been fresh and flavorful. They have an extremely wide range of music, so you’re never seated for too long!
Jazmín is an amazing bartender! She’s always attentive, fast, and has a great vibe. Her cocktails are well-balanced and creative, and she really knows how to read the crowd to give each guest a great experience. If you’re at Berry Park, make sure to grab a seat at her bar , you won’t be disappointed.
My wife and I had the pleasure of visiting. Phil Collins Day, and even though the bar was bustling with energy, we were warmly welcomed the moment we stepped in. Despite the lively crowd, our bartender—whose name I regret not catching—greeted us with such genuine kindness and attentiveness that it immediately made us feel right at home. Her professionalism and warm demeanor truly stood out and added to the wonderful experience. We couldn’t have asked for a better introduction to this vibrant spot!
Came here for my birthday and reserved a few tables for 20+ ppl. Everyone working here was super nice and accommodating. Our waitress was Emily and she was amazing! It was so chaotic, but she was super helpful and made sure we had everything we needed. I highly recommend this place for events! Great atmosphere too
I've attended many events here and always had a blast. Recently, they were able to accommodate a last minute reservation change for me that required me to push my reservation up sooner and Eduardo was able to make that happen, which I really appreciated. The rooftop area is also gorgeous after their recent renovations. Their park fries are also so so good as a grub. I highly recommend coming here for any type of event, thanks for your hospitality!
My favorite spot to go in BK! The staff is amazing and the vibe is always right. Can’t beat the music on the rooftop!! DJs are always on point.
We went to Berry Park for our wedding after party after midnight on a cold Saturday in March. It wasn't super crowded, which was perfect for our guests. When I asked if we could make a reservation, the manager got back to me quickly and was very helpful. It was exactly what we needed! I've also been many other times for drinks and it's always a reliable lively spot.
Went there to celebrate my birthday with 12 friends, but I didn't have a reservation. My foot was broken, so finding sittings was of the essence. We got there on a Saturday around 6 pm, and the terrace was already crowded; still, an angel called Christina managed to find us a table and made sure I could accommodate my injured foot. (Christina, YOU ARE THE BEST! ♡). Important to mention that to go up to the terrace, you need to climb up the stairs. There's no elevator. Because it was my birthday I really wanted to celebrate it with a nice view, so my friends helped to get there even though I was using crutches. Also, there was no bathroom up there, so every time I needed to go, three friends would help me get there and back up. Still, I had fun, and Christina was so nice, so I am still giving them 5 stars. Bit It would be great if they could make the place a bit more accessible. 🙂
Had a wonderful evening of live music with local artists by Sofar Music on Friday night and then went upstairs to their rooftop venue. Beautiful scenery, clean, diverse crowd and most importantly good music!
Great place to hang out, they have a nice place ground floor but it’s better to hang out at the rooftop. Staff were great although they don’t do table service, have to order and get everything at the bar. And the food menu options are very low, It would be nice if they had more options to pick from. And prices are pretty low for a nice rooftop bar and restaurant
The perfect summer rooftop day drinking escape right off of mccaren park with some nice views of the manhattan skyline. The space upstairs is great but forewarning that it can get hellaaaaaa crowded like around 5pm that rooftop was so condensed I was honestly impressed by how many people fit up there. This was my first time seeing spritzes cost more than the cocktail menu but nevertheless I got a hugo spritz and it was so refreshing I loved it.
1st time visit - Mayoral Debate Watch party. Nice vibe. Spacious. Variety of seating options. Wasn't going to eat or drink but others food looked so good had to try it myself. Had the crispy chicken sandwich with fries. So, so good. Nice amount of spice and kick to make the chicken sandwich special. Fries were hot, crispy golden outside, soft inside. Didn't get alcohol but will next time. They have some beer options want to try.
This place is such a vibe. Whether we’re talking about the music, the food, the drinks, or the service you honestly can’t go wrong. And I can’t say enough good things about bartender Alyssa, she’s the best. I come here often and it’s always super busy but Alyssa always manages to give amazing service, shes always super friendly and interactive with me and my friends, and she goes above and beyond to meet our needs, and making sure we’re good. I always feel welcomed here and it’s honestly why I keep coming back. I’m from Williamsburg and this is my go-to spot. Visit if you can and ask for Alyssa, you won’t be disappointed! Trust me!!
This place is absolutely amazing. My first visit to Barry Park was nothing short of impressive. What caught my attention initially was the breathtaking view, which sets the perfect ambiance. The food is remarkable – the shrimp is fiery and flavorful, while the wings hit just the right spot with their on-point seasoning. The drinks are well-crafted; though they could pack a bit more punch in terms of alcohol content, I believe this subtlety is actually a plus. An added bonus is the absence of a cover charge, making it an even more appealing destination. I wholeheartedly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a fantastic dining experience. Five stars all the way!
I came across this place while walking on the area on Saturday around 5ish & decided to go in & have a beer to feel the vibe. I found Berry Park to be an awesome bar with lots of space, ample selection of draft beers, good to watch sports, pretty busy but with fast & good service at the bar & I enjoyed very much my beer & the frickles ( fried pickles w/ a spicy creamy sauce). Place is very big & there is also a rooftop with a amazing view. In a different occasion I would be back to try more appetizers & food from the menu.
I regret not taking any more pictures while I was here, but maybe that's also testament to how much of a good time that I had? I was upstairs hanging out with friends, a packed bar area isn't really my scene but it was interesting to see people come up to our table to talk to us and share in the moment. Talking to people and finding out about their lives over a few drinks, making each other laugh then saying goodbye to maybe never see that person/ group again. The venue is great, if you want to come with friends this is a perfect place, it is an experience to be shared. Open yourself up to the potential of meeting new friends or.. a new *friend* Haven't tried the food but it smelled fantastic, the drinks are great. I kept getting this alcoholic lemonade drink that I never asked the name of. I would definitely go again in the future and of course I would recommend coming here if you're interested.
Best part of this bar is the rooftop! Amazing views and a great layout for big groups. There's a bar up top too, but every time I've been there it's understaffed for the amount of people up there. Some of the patrons here can be exhausting, but the bar food is above average for sure.
Pretty wide space venue with very high ceilings, friendly staff, and clean restrooms. Good place for meeting a group of friends and the music isn’t too loud. Lots of television flat screens for any event. Drinks menu is interesting, and there are Plenty of group centric finger foods.
I contacted the email address on the website a few weeks back to see if I could make a reservation since we had a large group of 12 for a bachelorette party. When we got there they did not have any knowledge of this... which is why I am giving a 4 instead of 5 stars. However they still found us a good spot on the rooftop. Food and drinks were good and the view was everything.
A spacious venue with a lovely view towards midtown from the roof garden. They have an interesting selection of beers, though the pilsners were a little flat and there's a surprising lack of local brews given the location. Good place to hang out if the weather's nice.
Nice atmosphere, kid friendly and in general suitable for big groups and networking. The food was not bad either and the service was lovely! The only annoying thing was that in the afternoon they increased the music volume so much that you had to constantly shout in order to make a bit of conversation. I guess they were trying to create some atmosphere but it was too early for that and everyone I talked with seemed bothered by this.
Have only been here a couple of times and it is a good time bar. Lots of drinks, upstairs has a top rooftop for when the weather is decent and an enclosed space too if it isn’t so hot. Younger crowd seems to love it. Give it a look if you’re in the area and thirsty. The food is fine.
The venue is beautiful, spacious, almost a tribute to a slightly-older Brooklyn when gentrification wasn't at oat milk levels. Great cocktails (honestly, to my surprise) and staff. We went here when the crowd was light but I wouldn't mind seeing a bit more action here. A very mixed crowd but this is where nights can get all fun and blurry.
Berry Park is an expansive, lively spot with both a spacious downstairs area and a stunning rooftop. Downstairs feels like a classic sports bar, while the rooftop offers a vibrant, scenic atmosphere with great music. The food is solid, with generous portions that won't disappoint. Whether you're there for a game or just to soak up the rooftop vibes, the energy here is always on point!
Oooh Berry Park; the Rooftop where you close your tab and find yourself getting another round. Been here a few years back but came by on a gorgeous day. The vibes were high and people were out and about; looking amazing. Started off with their spiked lemonade (okay), and got their espresso martinis afterwards - pretty good but I was missing that layer of foam that I love about these martinis. This version wasn’t too bad. When we got hungry I ordered the Artichoke Dip + Pita Chips, and we got a Charcuterie board to share. The pita chips seemed to be on the healthier side (whole grain or wheat) so I used the sourdough bread from the cheese board as my dipping vessel. It was a nice spread and the great company made it better. Pretty good DJ, but it’s the people and the views that make this place so enjoyable. Give it a visit on a nice day.
I really liked this place! We got here around 1230 on a Saturday and were one of the only people on the rooftop. By 230 it was packed. The drinks were good as well! I could have spent all day here. The downstairs bar seemed cool as well. They had a big screen for soccer games and lots of seating. Definitely a great place to be outdoors!
Just get a drink ! Food is not good at all ! I order a chicken sandwich and it was more like a nugget with more bread than anything! Roof is nice
Used to LOVE the place, specifically for the chicken sandwich and park fries. USED to be a nicely breaded juicy chicken breast, now its three store bought chicken tenders. Park fries USED to include bacon bits and my latest visit left my craving unsatisfied. Service is decent and beer variety is good. I understand these are tough times but food quality is (in my opinion) a non- negotiable.
Great beer selection and cocktail menu. Rooftop, this spot key ingredient, has an great view and is really spacious. Really good spot to go with bigger group of friends since you'll find bigger tables with benches on the rooftop. They also have foosball. Service is all right, although I didn't like the fact that bartender tried to add tip to my bill instead of giving me option to give as much as I want. I know a lot of wait and bar staff are doing this when they know you're at their place for the first time, but it's still a big turn of for me.
Went to their rooftop party for a birthday on Sat 05/19 at 11pm and the view was beautiful, the enterence was free, the drinks were an average of 9-12$. the music was garbage...like somebody turned on the worst radio station, pressed play and went to the bathroom to watch a movie. The speakers made the lack of music even worse. The people were decent, the girls are approachable but snobby. Perhaps the music ruined their fun. It was very packed.
A group of 7 of us got norovirus after visiting last weekend. Could have been from food/drinks or just being in a crowd. Overall fine atmosphere to watch the game, kind server too.
Absent minded bartender on the roof yesterday. Step up the service and pay attention..! Food was decent. Tacos were crap but mushroom sandwich was pretty good.
decent food and drinks. lovely rooftop and bar. however the bouncer can be a bit rude i asked a simple question and he interrogated me. i asked about the bar since it was my first time and i wanted to know where the bathroom was before i head upstairs. he went up in my face with extremely rude attitude when I was polite. i personally felt violated. other than that, i had a decent first time here!
When I went to Barry's park ,I got to experience the most mid food I have ever tasted, it also took a long time for the waiter to serve us our food. But the atmosphere was pretty great for a sports bar and the upstairs dj was really good
My visit to Berry Park did not really impress by any means. They have a nice first floor with a main bar and seating all around with big screens that were playing a soccer match for fans to enjoy. They were also serving food which mainly seemed like a pub-style menu. The rooftop was small and packed with so many people that there was barely room to stand. And if you wanted a drink, forget about it because there was no way you were reaching the bar in that sea full of people. There is also no view at all. This rooftop is covered by taller buildings, so the only thing you can really see are the streets down below. What really left a bad taste in my mouth was the security guard standing at the front door. He left me and my friend with rude comments and was telling us to spend more money in there (as if he knew what we did or did not order inside). He also told us that the bathroom was for customers only as if we had spent 5 minutes in there and left. Sir, we were there for an hour and we did not even use the bathroom lol. Honestly this place is mediocre at best and there are so many better places around it such as Westlight, Water Tower, and Bar Blondeau. 3/5 stars.
I gotta give it 2. Bar tenders are all over the place, they seem overwhelmed and overburdened by the process of ringing out everyone’s tab on an old school payment system. They need new technology. No QR code menu. Musics way to loud to talk. But there’s no room to dance. No outlets. But DJ is 🔥🔥🔥
I hate leaving bad reviews of places but I had to for this one. The food and drinks were good but that didn’t make up for the terrible service. We didn’t make reservations and that’s on us. When we got there and asked to sit on the roof they said it was full but we could wait downstairs until a table opened up. We decided to do that. After 15 minutes of sitting at a table and no waitstaff approaching us, my husband asked the hostess if we could order drinks and food. Eventually a waitress came over. Another ten minutes for drinks. Then we got our app. After watching several people whom were asked to wait downstairs (and came in after us) be escorted to the roof, my husband asked when it was our turn. Obviously the hostess forgot about us and then told him we had to close out downstairs before we can go upstairs. Again no waitress to close us out. After 20 minutes of waiting for our bill we just decided to leave. There are many great places in Williamsburg. This is not one of them. Skip it and find a better place!
I've been here a few times and had a good time. Drinks are good, nothing spectacular but okay and the rooftop is great. Unfortunately it seems like they're bringing in new untrained people to keep up with demand. People who dont know their drinks, or their kitchen hours. I waited half an hour for food that was apparently never going to come because their kitchen closed 15 minutes prior to the bartender processing my order after asking me what the time was. All or this while drinking a different beer than what I ordered because they gave me the wrong one and I was unable to get the bartenders attention again. It's a good place but if they keep ignoring basic behind the bar procedures I will not come again.
I had no idea there was an outside. I came here for a comedy show but it was canceled last minute. They were nice to me but the lavender lemonade I got tasted good for two seconds and then had no flavor. I had to ask for simple syrup for it to have a taste. The burger was pretty good. An acquaintance was supposed to produce a show here, the venue canceled 10 minutes before it was going to start, told her they would still pay her half and then just decided not to pay her anything for her time or putting the show together which is terrible and makes me wish I hadn't ordered food but I didn't know at the time. I stuck around because I was already there and it was a trek going home. Some ppl filtered in for the show but then left when they found out it was canceled. It was pretty dead other than those people. Just me and one other guy at the bar and some staff. It really is too bad. It's a great space for a show.
I went here to watch the women's world cup game. Atmosphere and viewing experience were really good, but my drink and food were really bad. Margarita was one of the worst I've had and tasted entirely like a mixer and was mostly ice and my "Buttermilk Chicken sandwich" was just three chicken fingers slapped between two buns with some pickled banana peppers.
I work down the street at another restaurant/bar. Hadn’t been to Berry Park yet. Stopped in on a Sunday evening at 10 pm, sat at the downstairs bar, got ignored, until finally someone said to me the bar was closed. No “hello”, no hospitality. I wouldn’t have written this review if I didn’t just get off my 11 hour work day of providing hospitality. Never going back. What a shame. And also how rude and disrespectful. I get it, you wanna go home. But if you’re open you’re open and if you’re closed you’re closed. Also, manners and language go a long way.
This place has the worst margarita I’ve ever tasted. Sorry! Maybe the mix they used was bad, but the view was nice. Still, we tried out three different drinks and it was not up to the basic standard of a margarita. People should base their reviews on the food/drinks, and not the view.
While your food is definitely spot on, your service is an absolute travesty! I am saddened to say that Berry Park will not be a recommended rooftop experience for any of my friends. Tonight April 28 on the best day weather wise thus far, my friend and I waited about an hour to get in, only for her tell me that she and her sister were there about a month ago on another nice evening and they waited two hours for their food. Meanwhile downstairs the tables were being served their food while upstairs drinks were flowing. I get that drinks were flowing at many tables and that perhaps most people upstairs just want to chill and have drinks. But some people actually come to your establishment for the decor and the food. To top it all off, the rain starts to fall and everyone that was outside your enclosed rooftop cover was sitting and standing outside looking in. The host or waiter could have made accommodations to move the tables in. It wasn’t done. You have to do better! Unbelievable!
This is the second time I’ve been to your restaurant and had a horrible experience. The first time, I was told it’s because they weren’t expecting such a great amount of people and they weren’t really prepared. Now this time, I came with my friend, waited over a hour and a half for our food to come out (which it never did). It started raining and since we were on the rooftop, we figured there would be a covering to shield us from the rain. I looked and saw them closing the corridor to cover the people on the middle side of the rooftop and left out everyone else who was sitting on the side. How insulting was this? Should we have waited for our food and eaten in the rain? We got up and told the lady at the bar that we wanted our food to go and she had a manager bring us downstairs to seat us. We told the gentleman we simply wanted to take our food to go and he said it wasn’t possible. How insulting & unprofessional!
Do not go to this restaurant. The manager Denise is extremely rude and prevented someone with a service animal from entering the facility even after seeing identification which is ILLEGAL. I tried to call the establishment multiple times beforehand to let them know that I was coming with the service animal, but when you call their establishment, no one answers and the voicemail says it’s full and disconnects. I arrived with my service dog on a leash and a vest. I was told the establishment was not dog friendly and I explained my dog was a service animal. She was insulting me and my service animal saying he did not behave like one without asking the required legal questions necessary. She didn’t even ask me what action my service animal performed. This woman discriminated against my animal and my disability. She didn’t even look at the service animal ID I tried to show her. She then admitted to lying by saying if I had been kinder, she would’ve let us go upstairs, which shows she was not letting him in because of her own egotistical traits, not due to legitimate laws. I was extremely nice at first and she was rude from the start. I have never had this experience before at any establishment in the state of New York. Denying service animals is illegal in New York and under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
The waitstaff changed halfway through our experience and not only were we not alerted, but our table was left and ignored for almost 45 minutes despite our flagging multiple staff members. We had a number of different tabs open, and when we went to the bar to inquire the whereabouts of our waiter and to ask for our cards back, a bartender named Alyssa was disrespectful and not helpful, telling us the new server who had inherited our table was “busy and we could figure it out ourselves”. The venue was not busy, nor should there have been any kind of distasteful interaction given the bartender had three guests sitting in her vicinity that she was not actively serving. To make matters worse, the bartender made faces and gestures towards the member of our table who inquired after she walked away. Unfortunately, despite the views available on this rooftop, this is not a location we can recommend due to the disrespect of those who work there.
If you would like to talk to a wall, call this place. For two weeks (I don’t even know why I tried for this long) I tried emailing and calling to schedule a birthday party for 75 people. NONE of my emails or calls were returned, and the two times I actually did get ahold of someone on the phone, I was rushed and then dismissed shortly with the promise that I would receive a callback. Needless to say, I received radio silence in return. I can’t imagine that they are that busy if they do not even take the time to communicate! DO NOT TRY TO SCHEDULE ANYTHING HERE ONLINE OR OVER THE PHONE. These people are RUDE and unprofessional. They do not care and clearly have enough to manage already. Extremely unimpressed. Good luck, babes!
I went here and my bill was $21. When my bank notified me of the charge, it was $45, they added a 117% tip that I absolutely did not leave. I’ve called and emailed multiple times and received no response.
