The art of the burger is alive and well at Big John's I stopped in for a bagel on my way from Microcenter to the subway, and I got a bacon cheese burger delux instead. Humble charm and excellent customer service greeted me. The burger was done right with fresh delicious ingredients perfectly prepared all around. The charbroiled flavor was contrasted perfectly against the fresh crispy delicious bacon. The fries were perfectly cooked, hot and delicous, and the homemade coleslaw was crispy, fresh and flavorfull and the Mayo dressing was downright savory. Top it all off with a civilised price. Congratulations!

Stumbled upon this little hole in the wall by accident but I'm very happy I did because the food here is on point. I ordered breakfast and the food was delicious! We had a great server and the customer service was A+. Definitely hit them up if you're in the area, you won't be disappointed.

This place was amazing! It was right around the corner from the hotel my husband and I stayed at - we were visiting from Miami - so we popped in for a late breakfast. Alex was the man. He chatted us up, cracked jokes & gave great service. The food was incredible. We only had breakfast items but the menu was HUGE plus a whole Greek menu and you can mix/match between them. Anything you can think of eating, they have it. We had such a great time we had to stop by and say goodbye to Alex. We also recommended it to some guests at our hotel who were looking for good food close by. Highly highly recommend this spot. Massive variety of food made with love, service like you're being taken care of by an old friend & small enough to have a great experience with the staff.

The food is very good, especially the pancakes and burgers! Alex is a riot from the time you walk in until you leave. He makes the experience unforgettable, to be honest. My 16 year old (son who doesn’t like much of anything) asked “are we going back to Big John’s tomorrow?” 😂 This is a family feel type of business that you won’t mind visiting a few times a week (if you live in the neighborhood) or every time you visit Brooklyn. We live in Florida and will make it a point to visit Big John and Alex whenever we’re in town. Two thumbs way up!
