TLDR: highly recommended for hosting an event or going for a date night, friend, or solo hang I found this spot through the grapevine and took a chance at hosting a figure drawing event for women and gnc peeps (femme&form). The venue and people working here are amazing. First of all, Hena was exceptionally responsive, professional, friendly, and helpful. She gave me a reasonable timeline for when I needed to post a flyer and was communicative throughout whenever I had a question or concern. The back room was very workable and we were able to move the big table in order to make more space for the event. They also have a decent speaker system that I was able to play my music on. The drinks?? I didn’t even have to remind the attendees to purchase one. They all tasted great, have fun names, and they have great mocktails too. I could really go on and on about this place. It’s the perfect mix of vibey and relaxed. A place where you can just BE. Basically go here if you want to be surrounded by great people. It’s the perfect spot in my opinion. They have a library, they have WiFi, they have cool events. I can’t believe they’ve only been open for a year now and already have such a beautifully curated space. Definitely will be back.

Such an incredible spot for coffee and tea, snacks from local bakers, cocktails and music. I love the vibe and the eclectic furniture and moody palette all throughout. Definitely make this a stop when you're in Bushwick

Boyfriend is already my new favorite café/bar in Brooklyn. The décor is absolutely adorable—every corner is photo-worthy. It’s super spacious, perfect for group hangouts, dates, and solo time working on a laptop or reading a book. Their coffee is top-notch-- the cardamom rose latte is a must yum!! Their cocktails are well-crafted and actually taste as good as they look. Drink and food prices are affordable.

First of all, the space is so openly inclusive and queer, I felt at home straight away. The space is massive with plenty of corners to get some quiet time to yourself while reading a book. The decor is to die for. I am drawn to the illustrations and art that is all over the place. The drinks are also very well thought out and gorgeous! I have yet to join any of their events, but everything seems to be fun and entertaining! They also carry my favourite beer brand, Back Home!

Such a cool spot - the first cooperatively run cafe, bar, and event space in NYC! Queer run, affordable, and witchy vibes. The cocktails were delicious and the decor creates an inviting atmosphere. I love it and can't wait to come back!

A spectacular Queer bar and cafe with cozy vibes and affordable drinks. I loved the mocktail offerings with fresh ingredients. It has an inclusive atmosphere for everybody, in true cooperative fashion. Looking forward to another visit!

If I could put 10 stars on atmosphere I would! It’s like stepping into a witchy show from 90s. And their hummus, mocktails and cocktails are amazing! They also host so many special events for building community around so many vast interests. They have a little library too and tarot!

They're actively participating in ways to bring the neighborhood, natives and transplants, together. Also, a co-op bar is an extremely impressive business model, and one that tells me that fairness and community are above all to the owners. I went in the evening for drinks and the atmosphere was so nice and welcoming. The drinks are also so delicious, such a well-thought-out cocktail menu.

I went in here on a whim walking by one day, the team there was warm and welcoming me in immediately. Their bar selection is well curated and super purposeful featuring recognizable brands along with local up and coming spirits you may be less familiar with. Kacey whipped me up the erotic as power which felt like transporting me into a book store from an 80s dark fantasy film. All around great vibes, check them out!

Ok first of all— it is a beautifully designed space, so many cute, intentional details!! Most cafes look more or less the same, but this one really takes the cake in terms of unique and welcoming design. Second of all, the staff are genuinely friendly and really seem like they enjoy working there (hello, co-ops!!). The cocktails and coffee are equally divine; and not to mention, the hummus is truly the best I've ever had. Oh and the music is always fire. Phenomenal spot all around!!

Great vibes, very queer AND diverse. Glad i wasnt the only black person there lol. I was working on a project late into the night and while people were partying, I wasn't bothered! Great place to have a drink and have your computer out. Friendly bartenders, I wasnt sure what I wanted and they walked me through the menu. Love it!!

Place is beautiful, great decor, easy to park, haven't tried the food yet but drinks are great, although I'd bring a better selection of mezcal. Service is amazing, got to meet Afua only so far but I heard that they are leaving unfortunately... They bring such a great vibe to the place though. Would also love to see more black and latinas there too. It would make the place a bit more welcoming for me I think. Other than that, place is great and has so much potential.
