Opinions de Carmine's Pizzeria Brooklyn
I do not often feel moved to write reviews, but this pizzeria has the most garlicky garlic knots I have ever eaten. Incredible.
Carmines make some great pizza. Especially if your looking for specialty slices. There vodka sauce slices are awesome. My friend always raved about the chicken parm on the giant garlic knot. Definitely worth stopping here.
I’ve been coming here for 20 years and have always been happy but just recently had their eggplant parm for the first time a couple of weeks ago and now I can’t stop thinking about it. The pasta it came with was also perfectly cooked and the sauce was just right. Eggplant Parm from a pizza place has no business being this good.
I was hungry for lunch. Right when I was about to walk for Tony's across the street, I see the sign for Carmine & Sons, which was familiar since I follow their content on Facebook. I went to Carmine's and had their Chicken Parm on a Garlic Knot. The bread is nice and soft and the sandwich was awesome. I also had some garlic knots on the side in case the sandwich did not fill me up. Combine that with a 20 oz. Pepsi for nearly $16 and the hype was worth it. There's even a bar next door to it which was noisy, but many were there watching NFL games. So it has a bit of everything for both families and singles.
Great family friendly neighborhood restaurant. This was my second time visiting and breaking bread with my extended family. The first was to celebrate my godmother's 91st birthday but she fell ill and couldn't attend. This time my brother's and I gather to eat and toast my big brother who transitioned on Wednesday. Hard is an understatement as he too enjoyed spending time at Carmine's. The food is delicious! The waitstaff is polite, warm and friendly. Really cool neighborhood spot.
I ran in here looking for a quick slice, not expecting to find a gem! To my surprise this is a pizzeria, bakery, and cafe all in one. The staff is very friendly and attentive. There is a wide variety of food, baked goods and coffee. The pizzeria opens up into their restaurant, which looks really nice (but I’ll get into that when I visit the restaurant). I had a wood fired margarita slice and the lasagna slice. Both were tasty and done really well. The marinara on the margarita was vibrant and flavorful while the lasagna tasted like home made lasagna my mom used to make. There was plenty of seating there. I can’t wait to stop in an again and try something else. Maybe the garlic knot chicken parm pizza. Don’t forget to grab a cannoli or maybe some gelato on the way out to enjoy at home. I was really impressed. If you’re in the area, stop in Food: 5 | Service: 5 | Atmosphere: 5 Seating type: in a addition to tables there is countertop seating here at the care area Vegetarian options: plenty of vegetarian options Dietary restrictions: the staff seemed very accommodating Parking space: no designated parking area Parking options: street parking can be tricky here Wheelchair accessibility: this restaurant is wheelchair accessible
Finally got a chance to get into Carmines for a bar pie and it was a healing experience. I’m always looking for a flavorful thin crust with some life to it and I’ve found the one! The crust had nice little charred edges which lent to the vibe, sauce and cheese melted into each other with a perfect amount of seasoning. Ingredients taste of quality and felt very fresh. It’s the kind of slice you wanna fold and throw down your gullet! My friend and I could have easily finished the whole thing but I think we were both practicing some restraint. Do yourself a favor and have a little pizza date at Carmines bar! The service is amazing and they truly make you feel welcome. Thanks Carmine!!
Back in the early 2000s we would visit Carmine’s at least once a week. Haven’t been back to the old neighborhood in ages, so we made sure to visit our favorite Brooklyn pizza spot. Perfect crust and burn-your-mouth toppings hit the spot. Slices are always large! Grabbed a beer at the bar and took in the nostalgia.
Amazing service, ambient and food portions! The attendants were absolutely attentive and amazing, despite how busy the restaurant was!!! A shoutout to Alex and Junior that were superb! We didn’t have a booking but arriving at the door, one of the waiters told us we could eat at the bar. We were three, walked in and found a spot for us. We had the gigantic (1,5L) bottle of wine, the stuffed mushroom as starters (soooo good) and the chicken parmigiana with pasta as a main. Very generous portions and delicious food. Looking forward to be going there again.
Best pizza place in Brooklyn! There are so many pizza spots around but none is better than Carmine's. I haven't had a slice that I didn't like and I tried pretty much all styles over the years. The thin crust pizza is absolutely fantastic here. The restaurant is divided into take out and dine in sections which is very well thought.

Had my 30th birthday here and It was great! The food and the service were excellent and the room was the perfect size to have an intimate gathering.

Just had the best chicken cacciatore! This is a local gem that always exceeds expectations. Nice sized portions, reasonably priced and off the chart delicious .
Carmines is like an old friend. The ambience is half sports bar/half old school pizzeria. The pizza variety is tremendous and tasty. It may be the only place can grab brick oven pizza by the slice.…

The pizza is so good in this classic neighborhood joint. I would love it even more if there were some tables and booths to eat at on the take out pizza side.
Service was very attentive. We started with cocktails and a small plain pizza. Martini was good. The crust was excellent. I thought the sauce needed more seasoning. We ordered eggplant parmigiana. It was light, tasty. We also ordered a special... chocken parm over fusilli pasta with a vodka sauce.
We got into town late and were tired and hungry. Carrmine's to the rescue! Pizza, barbera and arugula tuna salad were a hit. The salmon with vinegar pepper sauce was not as described. It had marinara…
Some pretty damn good pizza here. Can't go wrong with any flavor. I'll be frequenting this place for sure!

Get the baby pepperoni Sicilian absolute perfection.\n\nCheaper prices for cash payment. Quick service, and lotsssss of choices.
Ordered 2 beers and an alcohol free beer for drinks. Ate tricolored pizza, Babe (mushroom pizza) and one with broccoli rabe/spicy Italian sausage. All good but Babe could have used a little salt.
Pleasant and helpful staff, but the pizza was disappointing for my first NYC attempt. Have better NY style pizza in my small hometown. This refired pizza tasted like microwaved chain pizza. Only decent stuff was the vodka pizzas and even that was nothing to return for to either of us. Even for wood fire, bottoms were a bit too burnt. Hope it was just an off day for them based on other reviews.
Food was delicious but the service was horrible unfortunately and the waiter was named Amado! He was annoyed and bothered the whole time he served our table ! Never got some of the drinks we ordered and I had to ask more then once to remove dirty plates from table and then he had the ordacity to shake his head cause I asked him to remove dirty plates . I get sometimes as a waiter you can get over whelmed or having a bad day but that doesn't mean to make it so uncomfortable that your customers feel uncomfortable to ask for anything. Guess maybe since gratuity is added automatically, servers don't care how their customers feel...
Quick, good, quality pizza in East Williamsburg. They have a pretty wide selection of slices, but you can also get a pie made to order. We’ve come here several times for a quick slice. This past time we got a pepperoni pie made to order. It took 15 minutes. The whole pie was under $20, which is a pretty good deal.
Carmine's just raised their prices and charge to use a credit card. We have been loyal customers for close to 20 years. Sticker shock is causing us think twice about ordering here and cook more at …
Came here for dinner. Surf and Turf was very disappointing. Overcooked steak very tough and chewy, shrimp smelled and tasted like rockaway beach. Everything was super oil saturated. Ill stick to their pizza. Their restaurant next door is not it.
I called 72 times and was placed on hold for over 7 minutes. I continued to call back. Then when I finally got though, we were told it would be a 2 hour wait. I said that's fine. Then overheard the owner Carmine tell the girl who was about to take my order to "hang up the phone". I called back and the phone just kept ringing. Very unprofessional. I will never again order from this place. We were customers for decades but now it seems they do not appreciate their customers and do not deserve my money. Tbh the food is not even that good.
