Opinions de Cream Coffee Shop Brooklyn
Great coffee shop, tasty pastries and the best cold brew in town.
Coffee was very good. The service was super sweet. This place is such a hole-in-the-wall but I'm very glad to have discovered it. Quiet little shop with free wi-fi where I was able to get some work done.
I realize I keep giving five-star reviews to coffee shops in north Bay Ridge, but what can I say? They're all great in their own way. Cream has some of the friendliest baristas in the borough. Plus the coffee and pastries are excellent, and if you're not into the usual cafe fare, they've got boba! The vibe is laid back and cozy. It's a smaller shop, and there's only a few tables, but most people seem to take it to-go (their loss), so I've almost never had an issue snagging a seat. Great place to read or get some work done.
Great local coffee shop! whether you need a quick coffee to go or sit down and work on your computer, read it have a chat with a friend, this place is very good choice. They serve stumptown coffee and I have found it to be one of the best coffees I have ever had. The pastries and breads they serve are also good but they do not have a kitchen so it's limited to a microwave heating. Their service is excellent and prices are low.
Cream is my and my husband's favorite coffee spot in Bay Ridge. We fear for the day we move out of our apartment and aren't a 2 minute walk away. The Vanilla Oat milk Latte is the best and their fresh croissants are always a good choice.
My favorite cafe in the neighborhood . The owner & staff are amazing. They have a nice selection of coffees & teas, including bubble teas, not to mention the delicious pastries, most notably macarons & Dough donuts. I just saw they are going to be hosting live music too
I only get the salted caramel iced latte! Definitely recommend if it’s your first time trying, you’ll fall in love! They also give you a stamp card!! Paying with cash gives you % off fyi!!
The best coffee shop in Bay Ridge and the only shop serving Stumptown. Friendly accommodating staff, and a wide range of drinks (and those amazing Dough doughnuts). No pretentiousness — when I walk in I feel like they are happy to see me. It takes me 20 minutes to walk there but it's well worth it because there's nothing like it around!
Really good, one of the few good places in the ridge and only place that I'm aware of here that has Stumptown Coffee. Their selection of donuts, muffins and macaroons are great. Also great teas too. Friendly nice staff tops it all off in this artistic, chill and civilized environment. Their recent addition of gelato is great.
One of my favorite local spots for their coffee and cortados. The baristas are for the most part experienced when it comes to their espresso drinks combining a nice shot of espresso with a well steamed milk. I tried one of their mini apple turnovers today and it was quite buttery and delicious. I definitely reccomend if your a fan of coffee!
We stopped by for some tea after sushi dinner. I ordered Nutella bubble tea and my girlfriend had a cappuccino. We absolutely loved this place. Super cozy and the service is great. We will definitely come back soon!
This place is amazing. Great coffee and friendly people working there. It's always a stop for me when I am in the neighborhood. Bay Ridge needs more places like Cream!
One of the nicest, richest and freshest cups of coffee in town hands down!!! Freshly brewed and creamy taste in every sip. Loose leaf teas with that fresh taste. Also one of my favorite drinks is the Cortada and Nitro Cold brewed coffee. This coffee is incomparable to Starbucks coffee and any other coffee around.Great way to start the day or weekend off with your drink and a great seating area as well, don't forget there is FREE AND FAST INTERNET!!! They also have fresh pastries daily and are also serving bagels.
We've come a few times. I really love their house blend or jasmine bubble tea. It's also right next to a salon, Tulip nails, making it the perfect place to pick up a delicious drink afterwards. They are taking good precautions during covid-19 as well. The location has lovely artwork inside, but at the moment you can't go inside.
We love this coffee shop and pass several others on the trek here from our apartment because it's worth it. The coffee is consistently great and the staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating. Keep up the good work!
5 year edit: Lemonade soda is SO good, esp on a hot day. Love the iced salted caramel latte if I'm craving a really sweet drink. The chai tea I always get in the winter. My daily go-to is the jasmine milk boba tea (half the boba cause I just love the tea so much). It's been 5 years and my partner is STILL addicted to their hazelnut orange iced tea. So my partner is addicted to this place. They have a hazelnut orange tea (served iced or hot) that we order and ask to be sweetened with honey...just try it. It's delightfully complex and satisfying. The macarons are pricey but have restored my faith in their hype. Staff is always friendly and place is clean.
Great coffee shop in a great location! The friendliest staff I've ever met. The pastries are delicious. Small inside with a few tables, perfect for reading.
Phenomenal staff that's friendly and attentive. Clean space, four 2 seater tables. Concise menu of drinks and food options. Love coming here for their coffee - iced latte w almond milk is stellar!
Always a great cup of coffee. They use Stumptown coffee. Also, after reading the other comments, I have to agree, the nicest people work there. So friendly! My only go-to coffee place in Bay Ridge.
Haven’t had cream in a while, but their hot/ice coffee was always a hit so 5stars it is. Order from the window
I love this place. Not only is the coffee and drinks here great but the service of all staff members here is something that keep everyone coming back. They really make everyone feel welcomed and they have a great reward system.
Crack. Literal crack. The Pandan latte, h’oh god. Having a bad day? Drink it. Having a good day? Drink it. Just found out your spouse is cheating on you? Get a divorce lawyer and get a Pandan latte. I haven’t had all of the drinks here, but I damn sure will. The strawberry taro bubble tea is what dreams are made of.
They have the absolute best salted caramel lattes! Both iced and hot. Staff is always so nice. Don’t forget to ask for the punch card
Try the hair bender coffee!!! Absolutely delicious. I make it with my French press they ground it for me perfectly. Won't get my grounds anywhere else :) and the staff are super nice and very knowledgable for their products. It's small and quaint but very lovely.
Hands down the best espresso I’ve had in a while. They have really good pastries too. Their chocolate croissant was delicious.
Super friendly staff! Small seating area already taken up by noon time. =[ Got a large Macchu-Peachu Tea, it was so fragrant and soothing. They offer a ton of small bites such as maccroons, donuts, and MILK ice cream sandwiches to name some.
Obsessed with their banana foam matcha ;) it’s not on the menu, originally banana foam latte but I asked to switch with matcha and the staff was happy to help!
Pandan latte was absolutely delicious and staff was shy but friendly. Atmosphere is a little lacking, and 2010s club music is blasting, though they do have tables for working.
I love the staff here! they are super friendly/welcoming. The matcha lemonade soda is the best thing in Brooklyn.

I'm a creature of habit so I didn't try this place for the longest time... and I really should have done it sooner! The staff is really nice and knowledgeable and gives great recommendations. I've tried different flavored matcha lattes and also the pandan latte and they were all delicious. The beverages themselves are a step above most of the coffee shops in Bay Ridge I've tried! My new favorite coffee spot in the neighborhood.
I’m becoming a regular. Fantastic coffee. Great service. Unfortunately there is no way to leave a tip except in sheer cash. The digital pay machine doesn’t allow for tips. 😕 All else, as somebody’s mom once testified (which is the truth and nothing but): it’s the best coffee in the area.
Exceptionally great coffee, with friendly and stellar service, in a well-kept and nicely decorated coffee shop.
Cream Coffee and Tea Shop is the absolute best! The coffee (Stumptown hair bender is my fave) and the pastries are delicious! The staff should all take a royal bow- they are a big reason why they have such a loyal following. Everyone working there is so kind- they even have Polaroids of clients' furry friends on the wall! I especially love their addition of the take out window as I can walk my pup there and get my order without having to leave my dog. The neighborhood wouldn't be the same without Cream and the wonderful people Ping hires!
The staff are so nice and I love all the creative drink options they offer!
Great little spot! The coffee was rich and flavorful, and the service was warm and welcoming. Definitely a place I’d come back to.
Cream is a cute little coffee shop on 3rd Avenue in Bay Ridge. They have a nice little walk-up window for people with pets to order without going inside. Every time I've been, the staff have all been super friendly, upbeat and just generally great. I like their coffee, and would definitely recommend visiting. It's always nice to support local businesses ☕.
Pandan latte done right. Not too coconut-y and not too sweet. Yum! Drove by to pickup something across the street and noticed the cute logo and display sign on the street. Staff was so friendly and invited us inside instead of standing outside looking at the menu. Definitely will be back. Gotta get those loyalty stamps 😂
Listen. I have been a Cream customer pretty much since they opened. I have seen menu items, employees, and decor come and go. What's amazing is how it only ever gets better. The fizzy coffee lemonade thing that all the coffee joints are TRYING to make these days? this was the first place I first had it and this is still the ONLY place that gets it PERFECT. seriously: the cold brew lemonade is to die for. So, I just stopped in and, on the strength of recent reviews, tried the pandan latte... and I am not 100% sure that there is legal precedent for a drink being this perfect. I generally steer clear of this sorta thing as I like my espresso to taste like... espresso - but this thing is pure magic.
This is my go to when I am out and about or too lazy to make my own. They recently changed their morning pastries as well and those are sooooo good! Their iced coffee is so what I always get. The taste is always consistent and you never get that old or burnt flavor, why? Because its fresh! I’ve had their teas too, iced and unsweetened. Those are amazing as well. Occasionally ill opt for the tea but their coffee wins. Their almond croissant is soft and crunchy. The everything bagel seasoning pastry with cream cheese is dangerously good. My favorite? The blueberry pastry danish thing but its always sold out by the time I go. I’ve gotten their donuts for my kids and they love them. I took a small bite to try it (parent tax) and that tiny bite was bursting with flavor. The staff is nice and they will always greet you with a smile. They have the option to pay with cash and they give you a 5% discount, WIN! (When i have cash that is lol). They are fast too, which is a big plus.
With so many great coffee shops around, this one is my favorite. Cozy with soft music and local kid art on the walls. Great coffee and service. There is a small step to get in and gets hard with a stroller, someone always runs over to offer help. Absolutely adore this place
My wife and I love this place. The coffee is amazing, the doughnuts are delicious and their macarons are bursting with flavor. The staff is extremely friendly and inviting. I can't see anyone not returning to try another signature latte or tasty treat.
Not just my favorite in Bay Ridge but one of my favorites in Brooklyn. They have Stumptown coffee, which I actually love for espresso. They're serious about good coffee but the most humble of people. I nanny in this area and staff always helps me in and out with a stroller, which is really the nicest thing ever. FYI you cannot tip on a card here (but they do take cards).
Tried the pandan latte because of previous reviews and wow, not disappointed at all. Warm delicate drink on a chilly day. There are 4 small tables in the back with outlets conveniently located, friendly staff

The birthday cake latte. Got exactly what I came for and more. Though people might say I paid $5 for a picture, it was still worth it. And usually I find these foodie places and it's a one and done type of visit. But I'm actually looking forward to coming back and trying the other lattes and toasts! Very cute atmosphere, and interesting products that I'm excited to try in the future.
If the word "cute" can be applied to a gourmet coffee & tea shop, then Cream is the place. There is such a homey, cheerful atmosphere here. The doughnuts, ice cream sandwiches and the delicious Hair Bender Coffee are top class. The barristas are knowledgeable and willing to recommend a combo that will offer a pleasing combination of flavors. The cranberry muffins are substantial without being so large you have leftovers. I also like the pear corn muffin. I gave this 4 instead of 5 stars because I would like the muffins even more if it were possible to buy a pat of butter or a butter substitute made with yogurt. It would add to the enjoyment of a muffin and cup of coffee. I also gave 1 less star because at peak times this little place fills up quickly. It is not fair that people who have just a cup of coffee stay at the tables working on laptops or tablets while other paying customers would like to sit, rest and enjoy their coffee before resuming their activities. I think 30 minutes is a fair amount of time to enjoy a muffin and coffee before the customer either buys another cup or graciously packs up and lets another customer enjoy a brief rest. I think management should be a little more observant of this.

This coffee shop is awesome! I’ve been a happy customer for awhile now : ) They offer oat milk which is what I take with my coffee & it’s a really good brand too— the Oatly brand. The employees are professional & polite. There is one employee in particular, although I haven’t seen her there recently which is unfortunate I hope she comes back, but she would give out compliments something like-“that’s a real nice purse”& talk to you about it. Very nice of her & spreading out good vibes, I really hope I see her here again. I’m giving 4 stars only because they don’t let you use the bathroom now. I know it’s because of the pandemic but I’ve used bathrooms at other food establishments during this time, even when I picked up food from a restaurant. Hopefully they’ll look into that. Like I said though, overall it’s a great coffee shop & I really do enjoy getting coffee from here!!

Friendly people and great service. But I only ever rate on the food. I went finally because of the amazing looking donuts. They now get them from colsson pattiserie, and there's only 2 powdered options. It was soggy and oily. The raspberry filling was good, but had seeds. I also got the spinach tomato feta turnover. It didn't taste buttery at all, was fairly flat instead of light and flakey. The feta was spongy and had no flavor.
Im a customers for almost an year now and i mean there coffee and drinks are fantastic. But they are super cheap on my drinks, they like to pour my drink not at the top top, I payed for what I want, I want less ice, gives me more ice. This is a small business number one and they can't even listen, and if u ask these request, the other employees are just staring and judging u making me very uncomfortable.
I should have known better than to walk into this place for a cup of tea. I’m not impressed. Over $6.50 for the least desirable to go cup of pishy swill water excuse for black tea I’ve ever consumed. I wouldn’t be so upset with my Intelligensia experience if it was a reasonable price but to pay that much and get a professionally prepared cup of weak, under-steeped tea is an insult. Don’t charge top shelf prices for something you obviously don’t specialise in.
Drinks were okay, nothing special at all. I gave them $15 cash to pay for $13 worth of drinks and they didn't bother to give me any change. Got too crowded to talk to them about it so let it go. Would have tipped anyway but standard procedure is to not keep the change, since that's stealing.... Won't be back.
