Opinions de Jiku Brooklyn
Came here with my family and had a great experience. The food was very good, the atmosphere was welcoming and comfortable. My husband especially enjoyed the wings. We all enjoyed our meals and would definitely come back. 100% recommend trying this place out.
Came looking for Korean Fried Chicken, left immensely satisfied. This place is awesome. Wings were cooked perfectly and I recommend trying one of their corndogs. Definitely going back soon
Absolutely a 10/10 experience. Our server was so friendly, the food came out SUPER fast (even though they were swamped with delivery orders), everything was delish!!! Will absolutely be back!
Loved eating here! The corn dog with potato and mozzarella is really good. Definitely check it out. We ordered a large boneless tray with a split of flavors: sweet chili and soy garlic. I really liked the sweet chili but I was also given a bit of mango haberero sauce to try (amazing but got some heat) Definitely very generous portions here, it was enough food for two meals for us! I will be coming by again to get the wings in the mango next time!
i was visiting ny for 4th of july weekend and this was the first thing i had to eat and it did NOT disappoint! i love korean fried chicken and these wings were sooo good. rice and pickled radish is a must! i'm still thinking about these wings and it's been 3 weeks! we ordered on ubereats. i think i had the sweet chili wings.
Wow! I’ve been passing this place for awhile. I came here with my boyfriend, the music was good. Staff was super friendly and chill. Happy hour is delicious. Not cheap on the booze lol. I found my new neighborhood spot. My man and I took our food to go and everything was AMAZING! We will be back soon
Tried the fried chicken, soju, seafood pancakes, kimchi sides, and some of the stews while dining in. It is a further trek within Brooklyn, but it’s worth venturing out. Place is relatively small but it seems like majority of their orders are take-out, but they do have a small bar and all variations of Korean alcohol which is fun to try! Overall, I’d recommend to a friend and I’d be back
We ordered takeout via a third-party app. Our order was ready when we showed up half an hour later so we didn't have to wait. Staff was friendly and helpful. The boneless wings were flavorful and really hit the spot. We didn't know how big the portions are so we ordered large to be safe, which turned out to be good for six people. (Note: Salad in photo for this review is homemade and not included in our order).
Decided to order jiku as a treat for my family, got two large orders of their wings, spicy rice cakes, kimchi pancakes and their glass noodles. Everything tasted amazing and it was a big hit with the family as some never had Korean fried chicken before. The glass noodles was my second favorite after the wings. The spicy rice cakes were a big hit as well, i just wish they gave more per serving if they are going to charge $14 for rice cakes. Overall everyone had a great time over great food
So glad to have a Korean restaurant in the neighbourhood that will make it onto the regular rotation. The prices reasonable, the portions generous and the staff were really friendly. Best of of all great food. We had the Soy garlic chicken wings and they were crispy, juicy and delicious. I’m also glad they include some pickled daikon with the wings. The kimchi fried rice was also really legit and they don’t skimp on the kimchi which makes me really happy. The ambiance is a bit like an old sports bar, but everything is very clean and I hear they have an outdoor space that will be great once it gets warm outside.
I love that a new Korean restaurant opened up in this neighborhood! The wings were really delicious and flavorful, and I absolutely recommend them. They're huge and fried perfectly so that the skin was light but super crispy. The kimchi fried rice was also incredibly delicious. I was not a big fan of the Bulgogi burger, but it was worth a try. Their service was great! The staff were very friendly and nice, and came by a few times to check up on us. We will definitely be back again!
Solid Korean fried wings and Korean fusion like bulgogi quesadilla. Looks like they have a really cheap happy hour IF you can be there M-F 4-6 pm lol. Otherwise even regular price soju bottles are good. Indoor dining area needs to be spruced up but the outdoor backyard was nice.
4.5/5 :) The wings are great! You can’t go wrong with any sauce. They’re very crispy and well cooked. *a little sad that we only received 17 wings when we ordered the large, which includes 18 wings I would not recommend the fries. They were not that tasty. They had a weird aftertaste. would go back again for the wings. Worth it~ service was amazing. lovely staff and casual space, good for groups!
I would rate this closer to 4.5, but there are no decimal ratings. We usually get delivery from here and we are a big fan of the wings. Those get a 5/5 for sure. Our favorite are the garlic flavor. If you’re looking for wings, definitely come here. The rest of the menu is pretty good, mostly fusion. The battered fries are crispy and addicting. The bibimbap is pretty good and the kimchi fried rice is spicy and comforting, except for the egg, which was over hard. Overall a solid place. I’ve heard the happy hour is good too.
They have indoor and outdoor seating. They have beautiful outdoor setup. Some of the boneless wings were juicy and delicious but then others were hard and dry. The flavor of the soy garlic sauce was good. The veggie dumplings were pan fried and steamed and great. The spicy seafood ramen was flavorful and filling. The chicken teriyaki noodles were flavorful and the chicken was softer and tastier. The summer breeze mocktail was delicious and the peach soju was good too. I had asked in advance for dessert to be brought out for my friend’s birthday but they didn’t do it so that was sad. Overall a good menu with delicious food amd drink options. We were full and satisfied.
Ordered delivery, it was quick! First time trying and overall the food tasted good but the portions are small for the price and they really skimp on ingredients. You can see there’s like one onion in the bulgogi bowl and slivers of vegetables in the japchae noodles. A salty miso broth came with each dish which we didn’t end up eating because we made our own. Maybe it’s better dining in?
Food is mediocre. Atmosphere is atrocious. Dined here tonight. When we arrived there were no other customers, and the lights were up so bright I thought the place wasn’t open yet. I wish I had taken that as an omen to go eat elsewhere. On top of the stadium-bright lighting, Jiku also plays Spotify Free. Which means that every thirty minutes or so, a radio ad plays with some spokesperson loudly reciting ad-speak in the air directly over your table. Try enjoying a conversation with your fellow dinner guests while this goes on — or don’t. Clearly Jiku doesn’t care if you do. I worked service industry for over a decade, and I can’t count the number of times I’ve seen a GM chastise staff for leaving the lights up too bright after sunset. Apparently no one involved in managing Jiku has ever received this crucial restaurant training. The food? Solid meh-plus. Or halfway between meh and meh-plus. We started with wings, which in the end would prove to be the best part of the meal. A little dry for my taste — probably 3.5 or 4 out of 5. I had the pork ramen. Which was okay, but I’ve made better ramen at home for half the price. My fellow diner ordered the bulgogi noodles, which she enjoyed — but noted that it had nothing but beef and noodles. No vegetables, no kimchi, nothing to make it interesting. I try not to live with regrets, so I’m going to hold this experience in my mind as a positive: Now I know not to eat at Jiku. I also feel it’s pertinent to say I love Korean food. I’ve eaten at great Korean places in New Jersey, New York, Philadelphia, DC. And I’ve never encountered anything less than superb, complex, fresh and exciting food. Jiku is not this. Jiku is the worst Korean food I’ve ever eaten. If I haven’t made it clear, we will not be returning.
