Opinions de Joe's Pizza of Park Slope Brooklyn
$4.50 for a slice and it was worth it. Cheese, delicious sauce and bread was AMAZING
This place is the best. Everyone who works there is super friendly and their pizza is awesome when you’re just craving a classic New York slice.
We ordered 8 pizzas for a kid birthday party right when they opened at 11am and they had them to us 45 minutes later. Very grateful!
One of the best Pizza Shops in Park Slope! Stays open past 1AM, the staff there are professional and respectful, quality and taste of the food is awesome. Totally worth it!!!
You pizza is just pizza until you try Joe's. Service was awesome. Pizza was fabulous
Highly recommended. Very delicious
Best pizza crust there is, thin, crispy and delicious. With outdoor seating on 5th, it's a nice place to eat and enjoy. The staff were friendly and accommodating too.
THIS WAS TERRIBLE I WAS GRIPPED BY THE WORKERS TOUCHING MY PERKY CHEEKS AND STUFFING SCLICES INTO MY FACE AS I TRIED TO SCREAM 8/10 pizza would recommend will be passing by again!
My favorite pizza in ny. Kind and hard working people and have never let me down. Always recommend people to grab a slice here or the grandma pie.
Classic NY style pizza. Best crust of any pizza I’ve ever had. To experience it at its best eat it there, lest the crust get soggy as it steams in the box.
My girlfriend and I stopped here after hitting up Ginger's Bar and it hit the spot. The cheese sticks are also spectacular (though I could tell they're purchased from the supplier and heated up), and I'd absolutely go back in the future. I can't comment on if the quality measures up while sober, but if you need some late night pizza, this is a very good choice, especially if you're drunk. Also, they let me use the bathroom even though it's technically employees only, which was a huge relief considering my bladder seems to halve in size upon encountering even a single drop of alcohol.
Many drunk idiots leave reviews that make zero sense…a dollar for basil? Bland toppings? Shut up and eat the pizza. This place rocks and the staff is great. You’re drunk and shoving dough and cheese in your mouth. 10/10 would recommend and I will be back
Born and raised in Brooklyn. So far I've tried over hundreds of pizzerias in nyc. Joe's pizza is 9 out of 10, great crust, well portion. They have a HOT pie option which is called spicy pizza. Watch out it's a la Diabla but amazing. Can't complain. My whole family loved it!
About time I've written about this local pizza shop that I've gone to for a couple of years. I thoroughly enjoy their food, whether it's pizza or a sandwhich. They're friendly, always saying hello when I'm passing them in the street. And their prices are decent for what you'd find today. (I'm remembering waayy back when I could get a slice for 15cents!) I'll still go there in the future.
I have sung this pizza spots praises for a long time. Irving is one of the nicest human beings in the universe. Aside from making some of the tastiest pizza in the neighborhood, the service here is the best! Help keep family owned businesses in the neighborhood. We need them! They work so hard to deliver on flavor, texture, steamy hot cheesy goodness into the late night hours. You can't find a better slice at this price and with the kindness that you get at Joe's. Every single person who works here (and their other location) is a superstar.
Open late. Good for hospital employees. A little overpriced. $20 for a plain pie! Good pizza though. And it's nice they're open til 5a. W
A pizzeria in Park Slope. The food's pretty good. Small eating area. Since it's surrounded by bars and such it is convenient for grabbing a slice and a drink after a night of drinking or on your way to another bar and you need something to eat. Definitely would recommend.
Very good BROOKLYN late night pizza "joint". Solid slice, nothing fancy! The garlic knots are a standout!
I love that they are open late. Anytime that you're in the mood for pizza just come here. They also have many dishes that they prepare fresh. The kitchen is always open. Their baked ziti is AMAZINGGG.
They definitely have a cheesy pizza. But the crust is not crusty. And the sauces kind of sweet bitter. And it does not match with the cheese flavor at all. Since the cheese kind of wet and gets the whole pizza saggy But overall. Some times the pizza is At perfections I think it has to be with the employees in the night time where the problem relying since the morning pizza really taste different or maybe they just get lazy around the less busy hours. In case of. Not wasting food. But is a good place to be and Mac with your friends. But most important pizza to expensive for the little slice. If I wanted small pizza I would go little Caesar pizza or papa Johns. Be on my first to go. I think they should work in that.
I stopped by today for a slice. The people working here are friendly and my slice of cheese pizza was flavorful old school style Brooklyn pizza that you fold over when you eat it. My only disappointment is that they charge $4.00 a slice for pizza that you can get elsewhere of comparable quality at Lo Duca (Newkirk Plaza) and Rocky's (Coney Island Ave & Church Ave) for less.
Everything delicious except the squares they brown the top of the dough makes it taste awful.
The pizza was fine, nothing amazing but perfectly serviceable. I'd recommend the square slices over the traditional ones, much more flavor. The guys at the counter were very fast and efficient, and even smiled (in Brooklyn!) when I spoke a bit of Spanish to them. The main draw of this place (for me, anyway) was the ability to get hot, tasty, filling food in the wee hours of the morning! For that, it can't be beat.
Been in the mood for an old school slice. Thin, crispy but not too much cheese a little gooey but not over cheesed and the sauce just right. They achieved my dream of that perfect slice. They put the old school pizzeria tables outside in a covered corral, I could hear the soccer match from the bar next door. Reminded me of the pizzaria I worked in as a teenager. Give them a try and step back to real Brooklyn pizza!
This is one of my favorite pizza places is in the area. I do love a thin crispy crust ,with they definitely have. It's open very late. I've been there at 2:00am and 3:00 a.m. Unfortunately , I have to stop going . Once a slice reaches $5 I have to look elsewhere. I can't think of a more expensive slice shop in the area.
Ordered delivery - cheese pizza and salad. They gave us the wrong salad but I thought the cheese pizza was good. The pizza is thin crust, sweeter sauce, and decent cheese - definitely better than the review ratings.
The pizza is great. I would give 4 to 5 stars but when ordering delivery the delivery guy almost never has change. This happens almost everytime. I'm going to stop ordering from here due to that fact. Too bad.
It's pizza. Nothing spectacular, not bad. Sometimes you just need a slice and this place will suffice. They try to trade on the name Joe's of the village, but it isn't a patch on the real Joe's.
For the price $$ this pizza is ok. My kids said “3 slices $11” at 2 Boots pizza I get 3 slices 3 sodas $9. Joe’s you can do better. At least have better customer service.
I love hole in the wall pizza but this is as run of the mill as they come. Food was greasy and the toppings were kind of bland. Still hits the spot on a drunken night
Joe’s is the only late night pizza option in Park Slope which is nice. That said, $4 for a plain cheese slice & $5 for a pepperoni slice is crazy.
Crazy over priced 4$ for one cheese slice. The food have way too much save and not enough cheese. Terrible customer service. Would not recommend
charging $9 for 2 plain slices is crazy. the pizza is fine as is the customer service, but nothing to write home about for 4.50 a slice.
The chicken roll was pretty good, some chewy pieces though and small for the price, but the marinara sauce is just not. it. Coming from a NY Italian here, it’s very “TGIFridays” sauce. Up your game guys for your prices. Do some taste tests…something!
These guys are alright. Nothing to write home about. But they are there for you when you need them. Open late. I got like five different slices and thought they were all decent. By the time you get to the last few bites the crust is too hard to eat so I leave it. Ok pricing and open late is great.
Call me broke or whatever, it’s nyc and it’s 2026 and whether you like to admit or not we all struggling one way or another. Went in here with a friend for a quick bite, but almost five bucks for a regular slice and almost 7 dollars for a slice with toppings is excessive. New Yorkers know that a pizza should always be a quick and cheap bite when you need it but when you’re in a neighborhood like park slope, them yuppie and gentrification prices really get to everyone don’t they? Food kept me full at least .
Not as bad as everyone says recently. Got DoorDash and my pepperoni was ok, semi decent. Hawaiian slice was ok, Sicilian was good. Meatballs slice was disgusting though so there’s that.
I’ve had pizza from this Joe’s a few times during the quarantine and its okay pizza, not bad and not great but just okay. Recently I had the attached pictures... the fries were not worth it and I decided to try the three cheese pizza, and to my surprise it came as a sicilian - nowhere on the menu stated it was a sicilian pie, which isn’t my thing. Other times the food was better though.
positioned as an nyc classic, served with no remorse - paid $4.50 for a dying slice of cheese, an insult when you consider all the places you could’ve gone
Not a great value for the money. Got a pepperoni slice and it was over $5 for a basic medium sized slice of pizza nothing fancy. I know it's New York City and budgets are tight for commercial properties but still, it's so expensive for a slice of pizza in New York
Cheese on the pizza tasted old but that could be that I went late on a Friday night or they don't make the Sicilian pizza often. But they take credit cards with no minim.
Honestly thought it was an actual joes…ended up being kind of trash pizza
I usually say pizza can’t taste bad: Honestly, my world view changed tonight. The service was good and I hate to leave a bad review. However, this is the worst pizza I’ve had in the city. Dined in, no AC. Also there was no Parmesan cheese available.
With a hundred pizza options in the neighborhood, you have to do something to stand out. This one did, but not in a good way. I had three slices of pepperoni, one slice of grandma, and a can of soda. That came to $22.50!! I wouldn’t mind paying that if the pie was good but it tasted old and lacked flavor. You have Peppino’s right next door with amazing pizza and great service. My wife asked for black olives to be added to one and the guy said no problem. We got the slices but zero olives. This is not being disrespectful because the staff was working hard but it truly would help to have one person who comprehends proper English also. Just some constructive feedback. I’m just a couple streets away but can’t say I’ll be back.
not gonna lie, the staff at joes pick and choose when they want to offer good customer service. i walked into to pickup my order (i ordered through the phone) i asked for 1 chicken roll, 2 pepperoni rolls and one order mozzarella sticks. i pay for my order but the person who rang me up made me wait until it went through fully when usually i just walk out after i pay. then i saw the price they charged me for the order. realizing it was too high for what i asked for i looked into the box to see they gave me two chicken rolls instead of one. i go back to the shop and the person who i spoke to on the phone was insisting that I ordered something that i didn’t. we ended up going back and forth, but that’s not the point. everytime i go into this pizzeria, the treatment varies. it’s honestly ridiculous considering how many years my family has been visiting here.
I did not enjoy this experience. 1st: can we talk about 1 cheese slice, pepperoni and specialty coming out to $15. 2nd: The gentleman working had such a difficult time understanding how I wanted my slices packed (2 in one bag, one not in a bag). 3: The price wouldn't have been as bad if the pizza was good but my specialty slice was so dry and unseasoned it cut the roof of my mouth. I'm disappointed because a friend who lives in the area told me that there's always a line at this place.
Way too expensive. I understand things are getting bad in terms of how expensive rent and ingredients are lately, but this pizza was absolutely not worth $4 a slice. The crust was super thin, the cheese was salty as hell and I barely tasted anything besides the charred bottom crust and the cheese. No way was a regular cheese slice from there worth $4, Never again. The only positive is that they're open until 3 am, but the price counteracts that.
The guy behind the counter, try to make fun of me because I asked him if he had a slice that just came out recently. And to top it off, I got charged eighteen dollars for 3 slices of pizza that definitely were a day old with barely anything on them. I asked him to make them extra hot.I got to the car and they're warm. I'm not even gonna waste my time going back in there.I hope it helps pay his rent. Very dry and bland.
$6 for a plain slice of pizza!?! Are you nuts!! Way too overpriced. I felt discriminated based on reading the reviews of those who paid less for the same slice. Definitely not worth $6, maybe $2.5
Had a cheese square here for lunch and it’s hugely expensive for nothing. Taste is bland and the overall environment is just devastating. Can’t think of who would want to dine here. This place needs desperate renovation and some management. I know small business is hard but this will some work regardless if you wanna move ahead.
Yikes. I ordered a large margarita pie and attached what I got. Was not aware that you have to specify when you order a pizza that you expect some pizza sauce. Not a fan of eating large patches of just straight pizza dough. Tasted as bad as it looks :/ sad I ordered a large pizza. Only reason I ordered here vs my usual pizza spot (peppinos) is bc it was a Monday and they’re closed. I’ll wait next time
When I heard the pizza tasted like cardboard, I thought it was a joke. But apparently cardboard was an understatement. Literally the most stale pizza I've ever tried. Any place would be better.
Dominos has fresher pizza than this place. I am extremely disappointed in my dry pizza that reminds me of cardboard. Good garlic knots though!
I really never leave reviews but I had a notably poor experience with Joe’s Pizza. Would not recommend. The customer service was terrible and the pizza was dry and cold.
These guys lost a long-term customer today, delivering both a burned pizza and a burned set of garlic bread. It was pretty inedible. We won't be ordering from them again.
Pizza was average, they had a problem that I was paying by credit card, and made a rude comment in their language in front of me which I did understand in Spanish and Italian. Listen....if you don't want to accept credit cards, don't advertise and have the equipment. This was the first and last time I will be going to Joe's at either location...
4.50 for a cheese slice lol ridiculous, higher than manhattan prices for a mid slice
If I could give this place a negative rating, I would. I don’t understand how they had the audacity to serve a slice that felt and tasted like cardboard. I’m sure that pizza slice was sitting out for days or maybe they fished it out of the trash to serve it to a customer. I will never ever order from this place again and would recommend others not to either. What a shame.
Poor customer service. Attitude problem. You guys need a new pizzaiola. Don't waste your time, just head over Peppino's.
$4.00 plus for a cheap pizza slice with barley no sauce or cheese and made in a regular oven like everywhere else, honestly there are better pizza spot around here then this, it's not worth it any more.
Pizza was burnt as you can tell from the photo. Black bottom. The thing is I paid much less and better quality at the other pizza shop 10 min away.. and they do free delivery.. Overpriced burnt pizza. You been warned
It's so frustrated when someone want to eat a pizza and your slice doesn't have tomato sauce it taste like nothing for the price. Next time I go to 99cent slice better.
It’s convenient so i go there sometimes. Every time I say I’ll never go back, and I shouldn’t. The pizza always tastes day-old, the service stinks, and the prices are stupidly high. Pop over to Two Boots up the street.
Absurdly charge $1 extra for basil on a regular slice, and they only put a tiny bit too. Every other pizza establishment charges 50¢. This place used to be the go to but ANYWHERE else is better than Joe’s now
This pizza was dirt. They didn’t have buffalo so they gave me “spicy chicken” instead. It was dirt. I got a bbq chicken pie, it was dirt. I got a half pepperoni half regular, it was dirt. So many better options somewhere else. Very surprised that pizza shop in Brooklyn has bad pizza. I expected better.
Visiting NY for a day trip and I was hoping to get a slice of authentic New York style pizza…..this spot had great reviews for the most part so I decided to give it a try. I wasn’t impressed when I walked in but decided to give it a try anyway. Not it. Pizza was dry and nothing to write home about. The french fries were dry and had no salt and pepper at all and they didn’t put any in the bag. Disappointing.
Please teach your staff to treat people with respect.
$5 for a normal sized, deeply mediocre cheese slice... and guy was rude. the only reason theyre open is bc they're open late and the bar scene needs em
I went there with my friends and then i went to order I proceed to ask for 3 garlic knots as I thought anyone who had enough brain power could know that I meant three orders. I then attempt to pay with three dollars and the server hands me 1 and then I say “no I want three orders” and the server proceeds to yell at me and my friends even though you could tell that i meant three orders and not three garlic knots. I also had another encounter with the same server where I had ordered a drink and then tried to grab a straw and then the server says “there’s a straw right there” I first of all didn’t see the straws but the server was getting extremely mad for just grabbing a straw from a different place.I didn’t see it as much of a problem but he did. He also was mocking me when i left the store. In general the employees are extremely rude to there customers.
If I could give negative stars I would. Pizza is nasty, sauce is bitter and duper oily and expensive for even the size and quality of the slice. I know 1$ slices that are better, you’re better off going down to Luigy’s! Much better quality pizza for 2.75!!
My goodness , I should’ve just went to dominos. I didn’t mind paying $4 a slice . It was hard like a rock, the cheese taste like it was cooked 3or 4 times. How do u mess up cooking pizza 🤦🏻♂️
Asked for a small pizza got a large pizza and had to pay for full amount. The workers are extremely rude and disrespectful. Cheese tastes like plastic and the garlic knots were extremely burnt and tasteless. Don’t waste your time here.
My son is a student in the neighborhood and loves the deep dish pizza. However they charge him $1.00 extra because he isn’t “across the street” . Who do you think you are business owner? I advised my son to never go back and make sure to tell all around of this tactic. These are kids after a 2 year shutdown. Pathetic is all I can say.
Do not order from here. Horrible establishment. They should be closed.
Visited on May 25th at 1pm. The server was absolutely 100% rude. I'll throw this slice in the garbage because I don't trust him.
I went to this Joe’s Pizza today 1/10/23 around 1:50pm there was an employee that took care of my order which I order an beef party with cheese a slice of pizza and a coke while I was waiting for my order to leave while the employee is trying to take out the pizza out of the oven he let the pizza drop on the floor and acted like he change the pizza for another one then put the same pizza back on the oven and tried to give me the pizza to go this place is so disgusting with nasty employees I wish the owner of this pizzeria see how dirty are the employees. I don’t recommend this place to no one…..!!!
Person up front was pleasant. Regular slice pizza is 4.50 a slice and is the most horrible plain slice of pizza I have ever had. Horrible enough for me to write this review.
Spanish woman Who works there complained to me that I can’t take the lid off of the Parmesan cheese to add cheese to my slice. I tried showing her that The little was all blocked due to excessive use and she responds with. We’ll have to charge you extra. Literally worst service I’ve ever experienced ever!
Disgusting old pizza that made me sick. I should of known better than to eat at this place. The pizza looks like it was sitting out for the better half of the day. And they charged $8.50 for a extremely poor tasting slice of pizza and Sicilian. I really don't know how places like this stay in business.
I was over charged! I ordered 3 slices, 2 cheeses and 1 grandma. $3.50 each for the cheese and the grandma was $5.50. A total of $12.50, but I was charged $15.38. These arbitrary prices occurs depending on who’s behind the counter. Make it make sense- I won’t return!
Probably the worst pizza I’ve had in a long time. Too expensive to have no sauce, as well as a burnt crust with the center being floppy and greasy. Drinks in the fridge are warm. No fan our AC on in the place, so it’s hot as hell. And…there’s flies everywhere. Dirty tables. Forget it and spend your money on elsewhere.
I ordered from this place because of the good reviews just yuck they took about an hour and twenty five mins to come with my order the zeppoles were hard and nasty the garlic bread didn't even taste like it and the bread for my sandwich was burned the ziti was the most decent but still lacked taste
I ordered a large white pizza for pickup at 7:45pm on a Saturday and it was truly inedible. Terribly dry with a burnt construction paper tasting crust. I’ve tasted better 3-day-old freezer pizza.
Wtfff the tomato sauce is pure sugar and that's apart from a tasteless slice for over $7. Gross
2 floppy cheese slices and a small can of coke cost us 12.25. wont return.
Im a local, born and raised in brooklyn. This pizza is overpriced and garbage. $4.50 slice thats worth $0.50. This is only considered as a final late night option, when all other pizza shops are closed in the area.
Super disappointed; has gone downhill significantly. Wafer thin crust (not in a good way), little to no sauce, no taste. $4.50 for a plain slice? Highway robbery. I have no problem paying that much for a slice, if the quality is great. What happened?! This place used to be good. Luigi’s down the street is legendary. Cheaper and better product. Smiling Pizza is also always on point. C’mon Joe’s. I know you can do better!!
Disgusted two slices of pizza and a 2 L soda $20 Beyond disappointed, look at the quality of the pizza purchase five minutes before taking this photo and writing this post. The pizza lacks flavor and clearly shows off the picture that the cheese and the pizza has been sitting for a while. If I could honestly give this establishment zero stars, I would in a heartbeat. But Google doesn’t allow Anything less than one. Do better There’s Over 50 different pizzerias in Park slope and I got to say this is probably the worst. Employee seems to have attitude when you’re the one paying their salary ridiculous!!! The reviews Prior to minds indicate that the staff must go owners must step in and actually do their business justice before losing it completely. $20 ripped off Everywhere else pizza $3.50 the most $3.50 X2 = $7.00 Soda - $3.50-$4.00 the most for a 2 L I paid $20.50 for what’s in the picture it’s Ridiculous never again .
