The location is great, especially on a sunny day. Very chill atmosphere sitting in their outdoor area, people watching, sipping on coffee and having some desert. The service is a bit slow, but perhaps a lazy Sunday afternoon warranted it.

Food was good, service lacked. Trying to get a waiter was a little tough. They were to busy chatting amongst themselves to notice us. Social distancing the tables were spot on. I would definitely say it's a spot to visit , just go early.

Went in on New year eve for a nice, quite, and relaxing dessert and tea. Staff was friendly and patient to explain different options. Place was well cleaned. Tres Leches was my fav desert out of the three. Sutlac was not bad. Appreciated that it was not loaded with sugar. Also, bonus points for brown raw sugar and not the processed white poison. Kunafe was a downer. Overly sweet, super small, and very sweet. The vailla ice cream with it was also overly sweet. Overall, based on the desert experience, this place can do much better. Wish them lots of success and appreciate the halal offerings.

The Turkish Masal restaurant is a really good idea. A very extensive menu with both Turkish and American options. The dining room is very spacious and very clean. Like the last time, I was tempted by chicken soup and Vegetarian Kumpir. This is a big oven baked potato stuffed with vegetables. Really very tasty. In my opinion this restaurant is recommendable. Of course, as in all of New York, proof of vaccination must be provided.

Most of the items on the menu are priced higher than the local counterparts. Now, if this was justifiable that would be fine, however, the food is mediocre. I want to primarily complain about the tres leches cake. Every Turkish restaurant in the neighborhood has excellent versions of this cake. I’m not sure if they’re made in house or brought in. However, it’s unacceptable to serve this For more than three dollars higher than the other Turkish restaurants in sheeps Bay yet the quality be 10 times worse. Also, if someone orders a wrap is it not normal to include a sauce, especially if it’s dry. I am not surprised the second location closed.

Very overpriced restaurant. You can have better Turkish breakfast around the city, I'd recommend trying the one in Astoria. I am evaluating based on the price and the plate. The table's value doesn't seem justified at $57. What's more, the service here is lacking; you'll find yourself dancing around just to get the staff's attention. My friend got fish - it was ridiculous how small this fish was. My dumplings were good but warm, not hot. The bill for 2 people came to $107.00. - they included the tip after poor service. If you are a person of color I wouldn’t recommend coming here. I ordered mash and salmon. They came out with rice and salmon. I asked why was I given rice he said he didn’t have potatoes. Then the server started serving other people baked potatoes. When I questioned why he said they didn’t have potatoes when they are serving baked potatoes, he said mashed potatoes have potatoes, milk, salt, and pepper. My table has salt and Pepper and other people were having coffee with milk on the side. The refusal to change my order for their mistake, lying about not having potatoes because they didn’t want to take accountability for their mistake is what granted them a one star rating. Then he started serving other tables mash. I am extremely confused. I don’t know if it’s because I am the only person of color here, and everyone else was white. It just didn’t make any sense to me. I guess if you aren’t white you can’t get what you ordered, or your order corrected. Then proceeded to wash potatoes in front of my face. If I could give 0 I would!

I recently tried to call this restaurant to find out which of their 2 locations was open, as both share the same name. Unfortunately, my experience was very frustrating. The person answering the phone kept giving contradictory answers - sometimes saying the restaurant was open, then saying it was closed, without clearly explaining which location was available. When I asked to speak to a manager or someone else, he said he was there alone handling everything - from cooking to serving and hosting. Despite my polite efforts to clarify, he eventually hung up on me, which I found extremely unprofessional. I called back twice more, only to have the calls picked up then immediately disconnected. On the 3 try, the same person finally spoke with me again. I remained courteous and asked again which location was open. Instead of helping, he repeatedly stated the restaurant’s name, which did not resolve anything. He initially refused to give his name but later said it was Mike, which I doubt is accurate. Even after all this, I am still uncertain if the address he gave me was correct. Today I had planned to bring a party of 8 people to this restaurant for dinner. Sadly, due to the unclear and unhelpful communication, I could not find out which location was open and therefore could not confirm where to go. Overall, the staff I dealt with was rude and uncooperative. I urge management to address these serious issues by ensuring their employees communicate clearly, show respect, and are genuinely helpful to customers.

The worst experience I’ve had in a while. The waiter forgot half of our orders. Forgot utensils. Brought us water 15 minutes after ordering. Every omelette was soaked in butter and the avocado toast was made with the supermarket guacamole.

I went to this restaurant, and the kids’ play area was terrible. It had mold, old stuff falling apart, and even nails sticking out of the slide! The carpets were almost destroyed, and everything was so dirty, like it hadn’t been cleaned in ages. It looked like a disaster zone and definitely not even safe for children. The only good thing was the waiter. He was nice and helpful. But honestly, the play area was so bad that it ruined the whole experience.
