I was waiting in line to get my coffee, and my bus showed up so unfortunately i had to leave for the bus without getting a coffee, as i was waiting in line to get onto the bus the store owner approaches me with a coffee in his hand and tells me the he noticed what happened and the this coffee is for me on the house!!! BTW the coffee was delicious!

I've been coming here since the earliest days of its existence, and Josh with his awesome staff truly churn out delicious products. I'm a coffee curmudgeon: I don't go for anything beyond my americano, and in the summer, cold brew (which he doesn't cut, so it's full octane!,) but often Josh will share with me a new creation he's working on for the menu, and there isn't a single drink that I've tried here, that I cannot recommend. Hot chocolate here is really HOT CHOCOLATE with emulsified, melted, high-quality chocolate in the frothy milk; and everything else, all thes drinks, are meticulously well prepared. I generally don't come to this place to eat (keto is finicky that way,) but I have eaten of the pastries and some of the housemade meals here, and it's all made and executed with finesse and mastery. The space may be small, but it's cozy, and the vibe is truly, truly warm and friendly: an oasis of warm camaraderie in an otherwise cold neighborhood.

This coffee shop is the best one in BP. The drinks are delicious and the food is excellent. Everyone here is extremely nice and high energy. They take the experience of just getting coffee and taking a bite up a notch with their fresh food and extraordinary ambiance. If you are looking not just for good food but a experience then this is the place to go to.

This was the first time I happened by the Milk Crate Coffee Shop and I am pleasantly surprised. I thought all they would have would be some sandwiches and coffee. Boy, was I in for a surprise. The decor is pleasant and welcoming, the menu is fresh, natural, healthy and gourmet. There is plenty for vegans and non-vegans to enjoy. I was also happy to hear they open early for breakfast, a real help before work. Definitely deserving of 5 stars, not only for the food, but the friendly service as well.

The coffee was delicious and the staff was friendly. They are a bit pricey but given their unique flavors i say its worth it.

They gave my baby free cookies without asking for anything in return and without giving me attitude for bringing a baby, as many other stores do.

This place is a gem! Great atmosphere, friendly staff, delicious coffee and yummy food. And in case you are not very hungry, they have the cutest little sandwiches and pastries to nibble on while you sip your drink.

This coffee shop has great coffee. It has a noce selection of food as well, the food is a little pricey and is more of cafe. I went on a Monday by lunch time and sat down for around an hour and a half, it was very busy with not a lot of seating available during that time, but the workers were all really nice.

Great service and amazing coffee! Definitely a more modern space that is out of the more heimishe character of 13th Ave, but it is popular with everyone and such a great place to meet friends for brunch!

Ended up in the area by accident and desperately needed coffee. A short search turned up Milk Crate. I purchased the Lavender Lemonade and added raspberry because the gentleman said it'd be even better. They also ask for your desired sweetness level, which was nice. I really walked over for coffee, so I got the Cinnamon Toast Latte hot. It was not overtly sweet, and the cinnamon complemented instead of overpowered. Wish I had more time to eat because it smelled delicious in there! I'd say it's worth a trip if you're in the area.

Went out here on chanukah for a small brunch and wow was I in for a treat! Being in the midst of boro park I had assumed it would be a very heimish experience, I was pleasantly surprised that as soon as I entered I felt like I was transformed to a place miles away from 13th Avenue, the vibe was hip and subtle and I though I was in parks slope! Beautiful decor adorns the store and hip millennial artwork painted on the walls contribute to this feeling. The actual food is incredible as well, we tried the breakfast for days as well as their grilled cheese. The Breakfast for days was amazing and the fresh toasted sourdough combined with sweet butter was out of this world, the eggs were cooked perfectly and the salad was fresh, fragrant and had a deliciously astringent dressing to wrap it up. My wife had the grilled cheese and she was absolutely floored by how good it was, the luscious so fresh sourdough combined with high quality cheeses and melted to perfection absolutely delivered! From there we go into the drinks and with both of us getting hot lattes I can say the coffee was excellent, it was fresh, smooth and had a very fragrant rich flavor while not being over powering. Overall this is a incredible place to get breakfast that transforms you to a hip coffee shop with delicious food from the second you enter. Would highly recommend!

I ordered Shakshouka and potatoes via Uber Eats. The food arrived in a timely manner and was packaged with care. The portion sizes were reasonable considering the cost.!I enjoyed the potatoes, but the Shakshouka was quite a bit saltier than I would have liked and I had trouble eating it. I don't think I'll order it again.

Love their coffee. Never burnt, always smooth. About $10 for a large latte. They hired a new kid and he’s a bit on the slow side. He asks what you ordered over and over again and then enters the wrong thing anyways. That’s the only reason it’s 4 stars. Hopefully he’ll learn quickly. The owner is great, the other employees are fast and attentive. I love that’s it’s a brisk 8-10 minute walk from my office. Not a fan of their pastries (tried the cheese danish and it was a bit dry). They are kosher so most of their options are vegan/vegetarian or vegetarian plus cheese.

Stopped in for a coffee and a pastry — both were fine. But six bucks for a Danish from a regular bakery down the block, and almost four dollars for a reg coffee is daylight robbery.

Really nice people but the wait is ridiculous and paid 12 for avocado toast with barely any avocado on it. Will not come back. Bread isn’t even toasted 😕

I don't know how this place got a 4.8 review. got their milk crate breakfast with a regular latte. the breakfast was really just eggs with salt and pepper, avocado sliced, and a mixed cucumber/tomato salad. I am not a food aficionado but the breakfast was really mediocre at best. the latte also lacked any espresso flavor. but, to each their own... 🤷

Found this place on google maps. Was not familiar with the area but was going go be there for a couple hours and needed a place to pass the time and work on some things on my laptop. They have a big sign saying no laptops allowed in tables during a specific time frame (something I’ve never seen before) Place was CRAZY full. No seats whatsoever, of course it didn’t help that they have very limited seating in a very small area. They are cramping about 6 tables in a very small space with no space left to walk in between. Very small space for line to form as well. It is a very prominent Hebrew area and I was very easily identified as not from there which I immediately felt by the way the other customers stared and the staff itself. I ordered a lemonade which was incredibly sweet and was not able to finish. A little overpriced. Did not feel welcome at all and left.

Every time I have tried to come when this says they’re open, they’re actually closed. I don’t know if the hours are wrong but I’ve made the trip multiple times just to see a locked door.

Cold salmon/avocados were blacking ive had better salads for cheaper, mid lemon tart not worth the money go to grizzly bear cafe instead or anything else really

We waited for our food for over an hour- how long does it take to make a tuna sandwich? The buzzer didn’t work and they just left my coffee waiting at the front without informing me that it was ready, so it got cold. The staff was incompetent, glacially slow, and spent the time I was waiting for my food schmoozing.

I always loved coming here but my last visit will be my last. Cockroaches on my table so I went to sit outside and there is a rat box outside next to tables while you sit to eat. I waited 20 min for my food after I got my iced cinnamon toast. How long does it take to make a grilled cheese? The sourdough tasted funny and looked different than how it usually is, when I asked they said they changed the bread company that they use. Never again will I come back this place is disgusting! I will be telling all my friends. Such a shame the coffee is so good.
