I loved the vibe of Napoleon's. Once you walk through the door, it looks and feels like a restaurant down South. You forget that you're in Brooklyn. They offer a nice variety of Southern comfort food, drinks (i.e. sweet tea, lemonade, half and half, hot tea, and coffee) and desserts. The steamed shrimp exceeded my expectations. The food was great and the staff members were very friendly. I will be back very soon.

I can't even begin to explain how good their cheesecake and red velvet waffles are! I live in East NY and I take the trek to their restaurant regularly! My entire family loves it.

You won't need no hot sauce in yo bag, swag! Let me just start off by saying that I'm from Atlanta, my dad's fam is from Jacksonville, FL and my mom's is from Birmingham, AL. I have the kind of family that tells you to unbutton your pants at the table so you can eat properly (which mind you, I never do). I know soul food! & this place is the way, the truth, and the life! No man shall come to the Father until they have sank their teeth into Napoleon's Sweet Potato Cheesecake. Baaaaaaby! But let me not skip to the desert yet. I live walking distance from here so there is a lot of this menu that I have explored, but there is much that I have yet to explore bc my "good ol faithfuls" make it hard for me to waiver. The Honey BBQ Wings are basically what I order every time. They're big, they're drenched in honey bbq sauce sauce and have the perfect balance between sweet and tangy. The collard greens, potato salad, candied yams, and mac & cheese are the side dishes that I alternate with. All delicious although I feel that since the mac & cheese is baked it could stand to be much cheesier. For desert I never, ever ever ever ever... leave this place without getting a slice of the Sweet Potato Cheese Cake. & I don't even like cheese cake. But this right here... WOOO. Listen, if you do nothing else, take my word on that. One more honorable mention that I'll give is to the Arnold Palmer. It's not for everybody. It's so sweet it might make your eye twitch. But that's how I like it, bc if you can't tell already, I'm a little crazy. Enjoy!

Had a nice conversation with the friendly owners who are hands on the entire process providing limited ingredient fresh food. Well worth going out of the way to, as you can go grocery shopping there for cooked sides, biscuits, and deserts. I brought home peach cobbler and had fried chicken yams and Mac n cheese, all were cooked perfectly.

Food is pretty great. Oxtails could have a more popping flavor but maybe that's just me. Arnold Palmer is addictive. Staff and service are outstanding. The wait let's you know the food is fresh! Fair amount of seating. I'll return! Chicken is perfect!

Baked turkey wings: finger licking good! Had rice and peas also super tasty! Now about the desserts.... We had the banana pudding-sooooooo good. Made like momma. We also had the lemon cake...DIS-GUS-TING! the cake had no lemon taste and the frosting was super yucky. The Carrot cake was good but the frosting tasted like roach spray smells. Had to scrap it all off. Other than the bad cakes this place has GOOD FOOD. So many other items on the menu to try. Can't wait.🍴🍴🍴

I’m reading most of the reviews an people are talking about how friendly the staff is.. I didn’t know friendship had a taste. But my opinion the food is okay I really like the breakfast.. but I’m not to fond on the rest of there menu but overall I’ll give 2 stars lol but not in a bad way if that makes since

It has potential. It is a small cute space. The chicken & waffles definitely steal the show, however the other items on the menu that I tried I could definitely do without. The "cheese grits" were slices of kraft singles not even melted into the grits with no seasoning. The Mac and cheese was very bland no flavor. The eggs needed salt and pepper. I would recommend for the chicken and waffles only. They should consider downsizing their menu and thinking of quality over quantity.

I heard the food was delicious, so I went. After about 15 minutes into eating my food, I found a roach leg in my Mac & Cheese. I called who I believe is the owner over to ask her what she thought it was and after putting on her glasses, she said “cheese”. After telling her what it was, with an attitude she said I “insulted her”. She went on to say “I am clean, I don’t have roaches in my restaurant or in my house, I haven’t seen a roach in a long time”. She then asked me (with an attitude) if I wanted anything else and I politely declined. Even my brother confirmed what it was. I could have been a health inspector and would have appreciated an apology but didn’t get one. In addition, she still charged me for my food. I just left this establishment about an hour ago and although I don’t deny the food was good and the risk of eating out and wanting to support black businesses, her insulting my intelligence and having an attitude behind it would make stay far away from this B grade restaurant.

Salmon cakes tasted gritty, scrambled eggs watery, grits okay, however I was more upset about the fact I was required to pay a "convenience fee" for using my debit/credit card, when the store doesn't except CASH, the customers are only Allowed to use DEBIT/CREDIT CARDS.. I explained to them how I’m disappointed in the lack of customer service and I need to be compensated for my time and energy. The manager reluctantly gave me a free drink for having to walk back and pick up the rest of my order. Needless to say, I really wanted to hate the food but unfortunately it was really good. Good food, terrible customer service. Pt 2: ordered a fried chicken sandwich and for exactly that. Pieces of fried drumsticks and thighs sandwich between two slices of bread... with shredded and not melted cheese. This place is a joke.
