Went for a quick lunch. I ordered one spicy salmon and one spicy tuna roll and ended up being served two spicy salmon. I was in a good mood so I didn't say anything and still tipped the attentive waitress well. Aside from the little mix up, it was definitely good sushi, soup and salad for $13.

My Spouse and I went there on Sunday Feb. 15th, as a belated Valentine's Day dinner and I must say though the night was freezing cold (Especially traveling by Subway from Bay Ridge) I really liked this place. Almost felt like I was in Manhattan. And the food was GREAT!!! Very generous amounts of food and the staff and service there were wonderful. I would absolutely go there again. You should all check it out when in the mood for Japanese food. Our Waitress was so cute. She tried to help my Spouse figure out how to use the chop sticks.

Inside/outside/takeout/delivery...Osaka does it all - and with excellent sushi choices and great staff. They CARE about sushi...order a side of spicy mayo and they (correctly) ask why. Always with tantalizing special options and creative dishes.

Went late night while waiting for movie across the street at cobble hill cinema. We came in and we're seated right away, they were very friendly as it was raining they took our umbrella. We mentioned we had a movie soon and they were happy to rush our orders. The food was very tasty at a great price, all the fish we ordered was amazing!

This place is nice and calm. I went an hour before they closed and the place was clean presentable and I was greeted immediately. We never had sake so our server gave use 3 samples and we ended up picking her favorite wine the Plum wine. The prices were decent and the food was super good. This will definitely be my go to sushi spot in Brooklyn 😍😍😍

I came here with my significant other today and 1000% we decided we were returning before we even finished our food. The rock shrimp was so good with that sauce and the mango sushi roll and the tiger were my two favorites of all the rolls we got. 10/10 I would definitely recommend!

The Osaka is a clean and friendly environment. We got the Tiger, Mango, Spicy Crunchy Salmon & Green River rolls plus the Rock Shrimp. $70 price tag for the two of us and it was worth every single penny. The waiter was really nice and introduced us to each of the rolls once it has arrived. The service was quick and efficient No complaints and we will be back there.

The people working there are wonderful. Our server even asked us if we needed to be out by a certain time in case we were seeing a movie across the street which goes to show her consideration and thoughtfulness.

My sister has been a once a week diner for many years and I finally joined her. What a homey, Lovely and friendly place. It felt very authentic and the flavors of everything — soup, vegetables, hot appetizers, sushi and sashimi we tried were so subtle, Fresh And nourishing. Very fairly priced and if I lived in the neighborhood I’d be there all the time! Thank you Sophia and all the staff there who fed and served us for a wonderful experience and wholesome meal.

LOVE this sushi spot!!! Excellent quality and prices, with a large enough menu you can switch up your order every time. Love the back patio to sit and enjoy a beautiful evening. The service is excellent. We’ve loved the sesame tuna appetizer and gyoza to start, any sashimi/sushi you like and the Sauvignon Blanc is a perfect pairing. This time we ordered the omakase for two and we were not disappointed!! Every piece of fish was delicious and the Osaka Supreme roll (with salmon, tuna, yellowtail, and eel) is the best roll I’ve ever had. Can’t recommend this place enough!!

Friendly place (especially for kids - you get a small toy when you leave). There's a garden in back but we didn't see it. Sushi is decent but on the expensive side given the quality.

Both times I’ve gotten the spicy maki combo with miso soup and been happy with my order. The miso soup has some great umami taste, almost like bacon grease, I can’t put my finger on it. Always been happy with this place myself but sometimes they do forgot to bring everything you order.

The chicken katsu portion was enormous and well done. The portions overall are quite generous! I tried several rolls and they were all mostly fine. I wish I could offer a more enthusiastic review. Stick with the basic rolls, they were all decent. I would not recommend the mango salmon speciality roll (mangos are in season though underripe and they skipped the chili sauce) or the New York roll (not the freshest tasting tuna).

Our favorite Japanese spot for Sunday lunch is Osaka on Court Street. They offer a selection, including lunch boxes, sushi, sashimi, and the chef's signature dishes. Our go-to choice here is the sushi lunch box. It starts with a warming bowl of miso soup, followed by a box brimming with fried gyoza, California rolls, yellowtail, salmon, tuna, and sea bass. What sets Osaka apart is their friendly and welcoming customer service. The servers even remember their regular patrons, which adds a nice personal touch. With excellent service, reasonable prices, and mouthwatering cuisine, we'll definitely be returning!

Your average sushi spot nothing incredibly special but it's good and the service is always amazing though, and when it's hot out the AC is cranking inside! Love that

It's a nice place but i don't understand how is it " traditional" Japanese restaurant. Most of the menu items are sold in any Chinese takeout or sushi place. It's a regular Asian restaurant.

The food was good but the service wasn't. The waitress walked by for almost 30 minutes without even saying anything to anyone at my table. When she did decide to come to the able and take our order she was very nice. We ordered appetizers and our food. They brought everything at the same time which was weird and being that the table was small the food took up the whole table.

The old Osaka that was next door was THE BOMB back in the day. We went all the time,the sushi was great! Having visited the area after a long hiatus, i looked for the old Osaka, and was surprised this place had the same name, but wasn't exactly where i remember it. In any case the sushi here is fine, but just average. Absolutely nothing to write home about. The decor is just ok, and much bigger than the old one. Nonetheless... Meh

Ordered two rolls to go. Spicy tuna was hardly spicy and rolls were loosely packed and rolled, falling apart easily. Tasted fine but not worth $10 per roll.

Been here three times coz live close: it's always disappointing. This time (last straw time) wife had chicken udon soup that was watery, utterly flavorless and had low quality ingredients. I had the sushi platter, which was tiny and had a very poor selection of sushi. $14 for 6 sushi and 4 sashimi on the lunch menu is not good value for money. Kyoto on Smith street is much better.

tasteless. I don't understand the good reviews. Every single thing lacked flavor- fried shrimp that was all breading, noodle soup tasting like water, eel rolls that were mostly cucumber... Geido, which is also family-friendly and not that far away, is light years better.

I used to order from here until today. I had a salmon skin roll that had a staple in it; to elaborate, I took the roll box with a plastic lid out of the bag, I took the lid off the container holding the sushi, I saw the sushi had no visible staples on it, I ate 2 rolls of the salmon skin with no staple incident, I ate a 3rd roll, once biting into the sushi a staple logged into my gums, I proceeded to spit out the sushi and struggle to take out the staple from my gum. Called the restaurant, they apologized and explained that this has happened at least once before and that a staple could have accidentally fallen in. They did kind of chuckle as they explained how it could have happened which was disheartening because I have ordered and enjoyed their sushi before . They are reimbursing the meal. Just be careful is all I can really say. I plan on asking more about where they are packing and stapling to have this happen.

DO NOT ORDER! Ordered sushi and inside the roll along with the fish, there was an open staple! When we called the restaurant for an explanation, they had no explanation and instead gave a dumb reason like when the bag was packed the staple might have fallen in with the completely covered sushi with a lid! They then said that this has happened before and did not apologize or take any responsibility! Seems like restaurant is just a choking hazard at this point!!!
