Opinions de Pattie Hut & Grill Brooklyn
Part of me wants this restaurant to remain under the radar. Restaurant workers at Pattie Hut & Grill offered exceptional service. Their staff attitudes are consistently positive. The restaurant's cleanliness is reassuring. I'm excited to eat here again.
Food is great Portion size on point Service friendlier than most
On my way to another spot, "Pattie and Hut Grill" caught my eye with its sign featuring vegan options. I decided to try the Beyond Jamaican beef patty with added mozzarella. It was excellent – the flaky crust and savory, well-spiced filling paired perfectly with the melty mozzarella. A fantastic choice for both traditional and vegan patty enthusiasts! Staff was very sweet
I ordered fried chicken, rice & peas with plantain online, and I was told right away that there were no more plantains and given other options. The food was so good. Delivery was quick too. I'd definitely continue to be a customer here.
Reasonably priced, amazing pasta amazing chicken, plantains are incredible, friendly staff all in all great. Can’t recommend enough. I come in maybe once every other week and they remember my order. Love their food love them eat here. 10/10
Five stars for the food; however, do not come here if you expect even a modicum of friendliness with your service (because you won't get none and you'll be sorely disappointed). The oxtail, stewed chicken, curried goat, rice and peas and callaloo were all fantastic, probably the best I've had at this price point anywhere in New York.
The food was 5*, But the thing that threw me off were the prices, Im looking at their menu on Google, oxtail was supposed to be 16.50( before taxes) and when it ranged up, 19 Please update your prices to the correct ones
I am a foodie and this place has warmed my heart for many years. Jerk pork, jerk chicken and one of the best fried chicken in Brooklyn. Check them out and remember good service and quality food is mandatory! Show them some love.
I ate my first Pattie here! Salmon, and it was delicious. This is a little take out joint, with maybe a couple of seats. They have a variety of Caribbean meats and gravies with sides of rice and peas, and various stewed veggies. I got the jerk chicken with rice and cabbage. It was yummy, with the chicken being a noticeably higher quality than some other I’d had in the neighborhood. The Lady up front was kind and helpful to me. I’m from Indianapolis, with not a lot of experience of Caribbean food. She explained everything for me, and also went above and beyond to get the debit card reader working ( it had been down). I get the sense they prefer cash, so keep that in mind.
The restaurant looked clean and organized. Service was quick and efficient. The food was fresh, good temperature, the taste was just okay. Mac and cheese wasn't really flavorful and we did not like the macaroni salad, it was also served in aluminum foil, I think it would be best to get small containers for the Mac salad and keep it cold. Other than that we enjoyed our meal and the price was right. Overall decent neighborhood Caribbean food.
The oxtail, jerk pork and curry chicken is really good. Good Jamaican quality food. Price's are reasonable in today’s economy. But shout out to the chefs because that’s really the star of the establishment.Service needs improvement. For the record saying thank you to your customers after their purchase goes a long way. Unfortunate these restaurants especially in NYC will pass you your bag and not say thank you for your purchase or a simple thank you. We the customers are saying thank You more vs the establishment. Their customer service needs lots of improvement and the establishment lack good energy.
Decent food but disorganized operating hours. Not only is it listed that they close at 11pm, I stopped by at 10:03pm to confirm the closing time, which remained 11pm. I returned to the restaurant at 10:24 and all of the food was put away and service was denied. My advice: don’t waste your time with them, post 10pm.
BEWARE! only come to this place if you want food poisoning and to fight for your life, from the brink of death, for 3 days. I swear the curry chicken almost killed me. Never again will I eat from Pattie Hut
This placed used to be amazing before it closed down and opened up again by different owners. The owners now alongside with the chef and staff members are very lazy!!! They cannot even open up on time and make breakfast items… this is not once or twice it is everyday!!! The food quality depreciated big time after the last owners.. Tastes more stale and rough doesn’t seem like it’s made with love. We need to stop supporting lazy, selfish small businesses that do not appreciate their customers. Do better.
Bought an oxtail with rice and peas, and curry goat with pasta. The oxtail was not thoroughly cooked; it needed about another hour on the stove to be palatable as it was difficult to chew. The oxtail had a lot of fat on it that should have been cut off during preparation. (The meat was tough). The rice & peas was burnt. The meal overall had very little flavor. The curry goat was not flavorful but the meat was soft. The server was very polite and smiled.
Very rude staff, and the food was not good. Whenever I come in, I feel like I’m an inconvenience to the staff, and they give very lackluster service. I even thought I heard an employee complain about receiving customers. And I was so disgusted with my food, which was thrown into a bag, I couldn’t even finish it. It was stale and not a good portion for the price I paid. After my last experience here, I will not be coming back.
