Best Indian restaurant in my neighborhood Crown Heights Wide variety and delicious tastes at absolutely reasonable prices
This place is so so so good. It has a menu to die for. The service is good and the atmosphere is very welcoming.
Food was excellent. Test , totally authentic. Service outstand.love it.
The food was delicious and the lunch and dinner takeout specials are good deals.
Service is great and the food excellent. The chicken korma is highly recommended!
My go-to Indian Restaurant. I've been happy with all the things I've ordered so far.
Very delicious meal. And the waiters are really hospitable.
Favorite local Indian restaurant. 50% lunch dine-in is a nice perk
Fabulous service, generous delicious portions and 50% on Tuesdays!
One of the best restaurants in the city.
EXCELLENT SERVICE! !! Food was Amazing!!! Will definitely go back again!!!
So underrated. Great food, never too crowded or loud. Love the environment and the service and have so many fond memories here. Recently moved out of the neighborhood, and I'm feeling a bit nostalgic.
Consistently delicious and affordable. Ordering on the website was fast and easy. My go to Indian food spot in crown heights!
Food was great, service was lovely. they were accomodating to making menu items vegan! Would definitely visit again!
One of my favorite spots in the neighborhood
Food was delicious. The waiter was very helpful and friendly. I would definitely visit again and recommend this place.
Hidden gem, good lamb and veg dishes. Dinner specials are great, that’s the usual go to
Absolutely delicious. This is so far, the best butter chicken I have tasted. It's Actually addicting.
Their whole fish, crab curry, lamb handy is really good. Real indian taste. The best indian restaurant in neighborhood
I just had the best chicken masala in so long . Awesome restaurant, kind and friendly waiter . I will totally come back !
Wonderful service and delicious food with a wide array of clearly-marked vegetarian options.
Very nice experience. Food was good. Service was friendly. Atmosphere was good.
Great service is great food definitely recommended if you are vegan they have vegan options moderately priced with combo discount deals
I live far away but every week i come here for dinner....i just love the food and the people are very nice ...5 stars from me
Really good indian food! Also the owner is really nice and caring! Good place to eat!
I ordered 2 dishes , both were one of the best i ve ever had🫶 the lentil soup and a paneer tikka masala omg. Def. Will order again
The food was delicious, portions were great, service was great. Their dine-in lunch special the best around. My friend who comes here all the time introduced me, and I have already been back a few times.
We’ve hosted two gatherings of 10 or more guys and loved it each time. The food is wonderful, filling and not overpriced. The staff is kind and good to us as well.
Food is excellent. Order take out from here once a week or so and all the dishes are delicious. The new renovations look great!
South Asian cuisine is one of my favorite things in the world and I have had a lot of it across nyc over the past 13 years. This is one of the best bar none. When you consider the lunch special price, it’s without question the very best in terms of bang for buck. A true neighborhood gem.
Ordered by phone directly, the delivery was quick about 40 mins, food was very tasty, large portions and warm. Prices are great. Definitely will order again from here. Call the restaurant directly and order: they get more money from the order and it was cheaper then using a delivery app.
When we arrived at the restaurant, there were no other customers, but luckily that didn't deter us. We had wonderful service and food, I recommend it to anyone who wants to dine in a cosy place.
I absolutely love this place! The food is great, mohammad (the manager) is a goof ball but an awesome dude, and are you kidding me 50% off for lunch?!?!? I go as often as possible. Papri Chat, Mater Panir, and Chicken Tikka Masala. And Nan, no doubt. Seriously, I go all the time.
The service, hospitality and cuisine of Pearl is fantastic. Our food was hot, seasoned well, and served fairly quickly. The gentleman waiting on us was very attentive.
Good service and a great go-to Indian place for takeout. Love the chicken vindaloo, spicy and delicious. Good portions, and the meal combo is a great deal.
The food was excellent 👌. My picky 9 year old daughter was impressed with their chicken wings. I had the Lamb with spinach, and it was delicious.
I love the food. Fifty percent off dinner prices at lunch time. I have been there four times in 30 days. Franklin Avenue is my new food zone.
Best lunch deal ever i will be coming back a million times
Pearl Indian Restaurant offers a wonderful dining experience that brings the vibrant flavors of India to life. From the moment you step inside, the ambiance sets the stage for a memorable meal, with warm, inviting decor that complements the rich tradition of Indian cuisine.
I have eaten here many times and wanted to show some love. I usually get one of the curry's, they are so perfectly spiced and delicious with such tender protein (I LOVE the lamb and the chicken) The naan is perfect and let me just say again how perfect the curries are. You may sweat a bit but the flavor is so out of this world. I'm from East Tennessee and this restaurant has made Indian food feel like home cooked comfort food for me. Go for the dine in special everything is half price. You'll pay less than $13 for a great meal.
This restaurant had excellent service!! And the food was delicious. I can’t handle spicy foods and felt that the meal I got was perfect. I found the wait staff to be very kind and attentive as well!
The food was great, but not stellar. We ordered some appetizers and curry dishes with mango lassies, all tasty. The price was cheap, so definitely worth it. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and the food came out quickly. The atmosphere is kind of cheesy, but pleasant. The people sitting next to us were obnoxious but that’s not the restaurant’s fault.
Really chill place with no frills, and there are great vegan options. I had perfectly crispy vegetable samosas, and the Yellow Tadka Daal felt really wholesome, relying on the flavor of the main ingredients instead of just overloading the dish with salt and oil the way some restaurants do. Good portions here also, I needed a to-go box :3
This is the absolute best Indian food I've ever eaten. I always get the chicken vindaloo which is perfect and quite spicy, just as I like it. The samosas are superb. We get takeout here and they are fast and friendly. Highly recommended!
Since moving to Brooklyn a year ago, I have been looking for a good Indian restaurant similar to those you would find in Jackson Heights, Queens. My search, thankfully, ends with Pearl. My first time here was a few months ago and I made the mistake of telling the waitress to make my meal extra spicy. I erroneously assumed that their dishes were served with very little heat and on the bland side (like most places I have been to in Manhattan). Not here! My meal was super spicy, to the point that I could not fully appreciate the various flavors between the appetizer, entree, Masala tea and naan. The water was fabulous though! Yesterday I went back for my second time and ordered the same dishes I had during my first visit. Everything was delicious! The meal had a good amount of heat and the flavors were nicely balanced all throughout. The portions are generous and I gladly brought home my leftovers. During my first visit, I drank so much water that I did not pay attention to how much of my meal I did not eat, which was quite a bit. It is worth noting that for both visits, the service was excellent and the bathroom was clean. I will be back soon, hopefully this time with friends.
Not only is the food great it's authentic Indian cuisine. The staff is especially welcoming and friendly. Customer service at Pearl is worth 5 stars. The atmosphere is very relaxed. Great place to stop in for lunch. The owner was also nice enough to give me 50% off of my meal. I will definitely be making my next visit very soon.
Favorite neighborhood Indian spot. Delicious healthy food, great value & friendly folks. My go-tos are the Saag Paneer, Chicken Saagwala and Chicken Korma. I've brought friends for dine-in (BYOB!) and they all loved whatever they ordered. My dad also became a fan when he came to visit me & we did dine-in and takeout. Thanks for being a Franklin Ave tried-and-true!
I normally order delivery from this spot but I went there for the first time to eat at the restaurant. Everything was yummy per usual. The interior is cozy, intimate, and the music was very relaxing.
We were the only dine in customers. They brought us water immediately. The appetizers were excellent, though I feel the staff is not good at explaining the dishes. The Lamb saagwala is good. I wanted to try new things, so the only known thing I ordered was garlic naan. I can't handle hot spicy food, so I deliberately asked before choosing my food choices.
This place is underrated!! Food is delicious and great portions. Beautiful colors, loved the mango juice. So refreshing. So many flavors. Definitely my go to spot. It’s HALAL , thats a BIG PLUS.
There is a warm romantic air about this restaurant. The lighting, decor and ambience is perfect for a first date or romantic dining experience. Our host was so delightful. The service and food definitely lived up to the restaurant's reputation!
The food is delicious, you get a very good portion for the price, and the staff is some of the friendliest I've ever encountered. I'll definitely be back the next time I'm in the area.

Had the opportunity of enjoying this establishment for the first time. A early Birthday dinner for my cousin and I. At first I was a little skeptical cause I never ate Indian food . Let me tell you they did not disappoint me at all. I ordered the Red snapper with the vegetable rice. Food came out sizzling hot. When I say it was ooh so good. Lot of veggies on the fish but that was ok. Look I didn’t think about taking pictures. 😂😂😂😂 I was ready to dive in. That’s just what I did. Yes I recommend giving it a try. You and your friends, solo night. Date night or what ever. Just keep in mind it’s not a big establishment but it’s worth the time. Trust me.
Delicious! Great place for casual eating with well made, flavorful (spicy in the best way) food. I also loved the decor- cozy. Also very clean.
I came with 2 other people on a Friday night and had an excellent experience. The food was fantastic and prices were really reasonable, especially with generous portions so we were happy to have some leftovers to take home. All around great service too! It’s BYOB, so stop into Mr. Kale a couple doors down to grab beer first if you’re dining in.
Seems like a lot of people get delivery from Pearl, but we decided to eat in and were not disappointed. Delicious food and generous portion sizes. There's a nice vibe - we felt very welcome and taken care of. BYOB and expect to have leftovers to take home!
Went with my partner-- shared a paneer tikka masala, garlic naan, and mango lassi. All were excellent, service was very attentive. Left stuffed and impressed! Less than $30 for the whole meal
So yum! The chicken korma and service was incredible, perfect for a quiet dinner out :)
I went here in February of 2019 and loved everything I had to eat
Discovered this gem after moving to the neighborhood. Hands down best Indian cuisine I’ve had. Plus the interior is so cozy and calm, pretty quiet so you can have nice conversation. A great way to end the day 🙌
We ordered a bunch of dishes: Samosa, Gobi Manchurian, chicken tika masala, lamb saagwala, garlic naan, mixed pickle, and mango juice. My partner ate everything and I only had the lamb saagwala..she enjoyed everything and particularly complemented the flavors of this dishes above other Indian restaurants we have tried. I specifically enjoyed the lamb saagwala..it was done to perfection and balanced the flavor of the meat with the spices and the creamy spinach. We will definitely try other dishes in the future!
The decore, the warm ambiance, the wonderful host/server… The Food… OMG the food was amazing! So tasty and wonderful! Some of the best Indian food I’ve ever eaten and I was a front end manager of an Indian Restaurant in my past! Pearl truly is an excellent Indian restaurant! If you are visiting or live in Crown Heights, this is definitely worth the stop!!

Great food and friendly service short staffed and disorganized. Vindaloo is extremely spicy - I liked it but be warned!
One of my favorite places to go eat before 3:30 PM 50% off💃🏽💃🏽 BYOB
Everything was quite enjoyable service was quick portions were perfect loved it.
Great food in a lovely restaurant on Franklin. Good service too.
Tasty and reasonably priced Indian. Host/waiter is really nice
Food good. Portions a little on the small side. Service was fine. It was empty aside from another couple. Overall, it was good. I'd go back.
Really good Indian food. Definitely recommended. You want curry? Mild, sweet or spicy? Eat here
The food is delicious and the portions are perfect . excellent atmosphere and you cannot beat the half price lunch.
Got food poisoning from here yesterday. Giving some stars because I used to love this place, and the people who run the shop are nice
Pearl is an Indian restaurant that serves the usual dishes you would expect from any Indian restaurant but also Biryani dishes that are more specific to Muslim Indian places. As with many Indian restaurants, its menu is very vegetarian-friendly. I had a very good Kandhari naan there but the paneer tikka masala was only ok. The sauce had a strong tomato flavor but lacked other flavors. All in all a very decent meal and prices were ok. The host seemed a bit stressed especially when new customers arrived but the rest of the staff was very kind and friendly.
Top notch service - the waiter is one of the nicest people I've ever met and he is very attentive. The food is great and if you're bringing home some leftovers, the kitchen will often give you extra rice. The naan is always perfectly cooked and served warm. Overall, very nice atmosphere and friendly staff.
The food is good and priced well. The "owner" gives off a bit of the "no soup for you" vibe, but he means well lol. Get the garlic Naan and Goan shrimp.

Good combo deal for dinner for 2 and lunch special. However food is a little bland.
Food is pretty good but didn't appreciate the crab biryani using fake crab, it should say imitation crab or krab at least
The appetizers werent that good but the main chicken makhnai was good and the chicken biryani. Once we were about to pay and giving the tip. Tip is something we give on our own choice like the money wise if we give 10 or 20 or 30. But its sad now the manager or the worker dont know who he was asked for more. Like he wanted more tip money and he said we usually only take more then 20% tip. That conversation made the whole trip a waste of time. Never again with them never.
The quality of the food was pretty good. But the customer service there felt a little hostile. Namely with the tipping. They're pretty insistent that you give a good tip, which made me feel less inclined to give them that because of how they pressed me for it.
App order: Disappointed, gobi manchurian tasted like microwaved battered cauliflower with thick tomato sauce on it even thicker than the tikka masala. Had better expectations of paneer tikka masala, sauce was more of a watery or soupy consistency, with just a small handful of pieces of paneer in it. Oddly, paneer tikka masala had more slices of onion than paneer. Naan also tasted frozen then microwaved.
Ordered take out through ChowNow. The person providing the food over the counter was quick and accommodating. The restaurant itself appeared clean and warm, the packaging of my food was strong, they were clearly doing a brisk take-out business, so good to see/know. The food unfortunately, wasn't the best. The samosas on this occasion were overcooked 150% (so, dark brown, very hard, and not even slightly flakey), the "thimbles" of sauce were no where near enough for three samosas (FYI, ask for extra). The food (sag aloo, and an eggplant dish) were fine, portion-wise, but honestly both were pretty bland. Needed more salt and flavor in general. The rice was oily, but had good flavor (bay leaves and cardamon pods). The portions / value was really good, but again, the flavor was mediocre. All in all, I wish I could say that the food was fantastic (especially since a lot of reviews make it seem so), but while it wasn't by any stretch awful, it just wasn't great. I'll give it another go another day, but for a first experience, I personally wasn't impressed. Your milage may vary. If it's convenient to you, it's a fair choice, but I'll still be trying other neighboring spots as well.

Ordered delivery. But the Rogan Josh sauce was so thin, it was more like a weak broth than a sauce—felt like cutting corners :/
Just as a warning to people! The food was good enough, the chicken was a little dry. But what deserves this low review is there was a stable in my food. Granted I the food was delivered but I opened the bag before I opened the food, so I do not see how I could have gotten a stable from the delivery bag into the food.
No service whatsoever, and they expect a huge tip for literally ignoring you and reading a newspaper. Food was ok but not for those prices.
Food was a 0/10 would not recommend. Not even edible 🤮
Don't order delivery from them...food isn't the best either
Check their restaurant letter grade! This restaurant has mice, roaches, and flies in their kitchen. Disgusting!
Don't go there.such a horrible experience. Chicken tikka masala like they put tomato sauce on it.it was watery no flavour on it Had a very bad experience
I had a very bad experience , the guy turned my Paneer Tikka Masala into Paneer Ketchup Masala and when I asked him to make it spicy , seemed like he poured more ketchup.
I failed to read the reviews before eating there but what everyone said about the cleanliness is so true. I saw roaches in the bathroom and near our table where we ate.
I would give zero star or even minus star if I could. Really really bad food and bad hospitality. I will never go to this restaurant again in my life.
Oof. My wife and I have eaten at many Indian places (it is her favorite cuisine) and unfortunately this one is right at the bottom. First off, two of our entrees were overly sweet. The vegetable korma was SO sweet that the sauce tasted like a vanilla cupcake. The chicken mahkani was on the verge of tasting like ketchup. When my wife told the waiter that the korma that she ordered was too sweet and she didn't want to eat it, our waiter said "Kormas are sweet" and walked away. Again, we've had a lot of kormas and none of them have ever been sweet. Sure, cashews have a sweetness to them but they don't taste like candy. Very disappointing.
I wish I had an option to not select any star. One of the worst Indian food I ever had. Just putting out wrong impression of Indian food. Paneer butter masala was just paneer but into pieces and dipped into red water. And the red color took almost a day to fade away from my had, literally. Don't know what chemical are they using. And the Bhindi masala - never had such underprepared, uncooked okra dish ever. And don't even get me started on the pathetic service and lousy attitude of the lone attendant (which I think was the manager/owner too) ordering you for tips.
This is from the uber eats order placed on May 25 7:30pm. The food was very bad. Majorly food color and hard rocks of paneer. Never visiting and ofcourse not recommending.
Bought kulfi to go for our group. The ‘kulfi’ was not kulfi and the contents were sour and rotten. Completely disappointing and disgusting.
Rude I called to place an order I asked if they had any vegan options just to make sure I wasn’t ordering something I knew I couldn’t eat the guy hung up the phone on me and then didn’t answer when I called back. If you don’t know what vegan food is just say that but you didn’t have to be rude about it
I love Indian food, but the food here was oily, and the flavors were off. They also gave us some lemon soup instead of chicken soup. Unfortunately, a disappointing experience.
I ordered food directly from the restaurant and it never showed up . I called them after almost an hr I was told "it's on the road" and abruptly hangs up .I call back 40 min hr later , now he's upset with me for calling back and inquiring where's the food I ordered almost 2 hrs ago. I NEVER GOT MY FOOD !!!!!
I came here a while ago and asked for a non spicy Biryani, and then I received a spicy one. When I complained, they told me these are normal Biryani spices, and when I insisted, they replaced it with another dish that was a bit sweet. Looked like my first dish with something added to it. Besides this, the old member staff was really rude and almost yelled at us while calling him. Weird experience. Never again.

Ordered to go - butter chicken and it tasted like sweet tomato soup Naan was chewy Chicken dopiaza (spelling??) was better.
Dryest Tandoori Chicken I ever had, cold and looks like it was dyed red with the dye spilled all over the veggies
